DESCRIPTION
The Belbullab-22 starfighter is a light combat spacecraft which was developed and manufactured by Feethan Ottraw Scalable Assemblies and primarily sold to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. One of the only organic-crewed starfighters used by the CIS Navy, the type was issued to ace pilots and elite squadrons during the Clone Wars, and was considered one of the finest starfighters of its day.

The Belbullab-22 is small even for a starfighters, just 6.71 meters in length and patterned more on a high-performance airspeeder than a spacecraft. Flown by a single pilot, it is armed with a pair of medium laser cannons, and has more than respectable shields, allowing it to take at least as good as it dishes out. Top speed is a somewhat disappointing 90 MGLT, however the Belbulla-22 is almost unique among its contemporaries in having a redundant backup hyperdrive. Overall, this makes the little fighter extremely survivable, even after taking relatively heavy damage.

The Belbullab-22 was understandably discontinued after the CIS' defeat in the Clone Wars, however a large number passed into the Galaxy's underground arms market, where they have circulated for decades. The Rebel Alliance used them during the Galactic Civil War as well, issuing them to its most skilled pilots prior to their acquisition of the T-65 X-Wing.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Belbullab-22 starfighters are combat-rated spacecraft, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities.

INTENT
