Willa was many things, but a survivor was swift becoming one of 'em. Gaining cred for the gang proved tough at first, but now she had some to splurge and plenty of cool people she was kinda chill with. She still had yet for the group to swing to the Jedi planet or whatev, but a girl needed certain things, right?

She had her old earbuds in and was poppin' along to some sick beat. Even in an ugly place like this, it was almost as bad as Coru, just with slimier goons and gaudier style, but hey, this was just a layover. They all needed to jet soon, an' fast. So she wrapped her coat tighter around her, humming along, but keepin' an eye out for someone with a loose wallet.

Y'never know, someone might have some spare change they wouldn't mind her liftin'. As for everything else, she learned the hard way to keep one ear and one eye free at least. Just because she looked chill didn't mean she wasn't ready to boogey at the slightest hint of trouble. After all, this was one of the ass-end ugly places in the galaxy...

Anything could happen.

Lyra was long far from home. She never dreamed having come to the outer rim, but here she was, walking down the least appealing streets in the galaxy. It seemed safer out here than it was in the core; her fast was listed under missing and anyone on patrol could pull up her identifying information within moments. Out here at least, no one cared and to an extent, and Lyra liked it. She was able to find more work here, finding scrap pieces for shops that needed specific pieces; and they were less likely to ask questions where she would get them.

Hands in her pockets, she grasped the cold chips thinking where she saw the most appetizing food stand in the area. There were clearly some places that were not meant for humans and the places where it seemed appetizing, she struggled to recognize what it was that was being served. The grumbling of her stomach forced her to pick a place and picking up some sort of meat on a stick, she was back on her way to find some place to rest for the night. Though one would think keeping to their own would help them avoid unwanted attention, for Lyra, that seemed a bit difficult and often blamed her striking red hair.

"Aye, Red!" she heard someone growl from behind as they hooked their two long fingers around her forearm pulling her to a stop. "Red, baby, c'mon you took something from me." he said as Lyra worked to pry his fingers off.

"Look, you got the wrong person." she told him, but he seemed to be set on making her believe otherwise, or what Lyra was going to predict, rob her of anything she had.

The girl was kinda cute.

Willa was kind of zonin' out, the only way you could after hard work all day and no real breaks and the promise of greasy, tasty food. But a low voice rasped through her conscious, and tired eyes rolled over the direction of the pretty lady.

Now... she could walk away. She had her hands full enough as it was managin' to stay outta trouble. But the girl seemed to be alone... was she her age? Likely.

Sighing, she pulled out an earbud, and wheeled over to the girl. A wide smile on her lips, she wound her arm with the girl's, forcing the stranger's hand away. "Hey kid, there ya went! Been lookin' ages for ya, the gang's been worried sick!" Brown eyes sparkled, lips curved into a warm smile.

She glared at the stranger, though the smile lingered on her lips. "Scuze us, mister, places to be an' all. Toodles."

Hopefully the girl would run with it. She wasn't lookin' forward to an alleyway fight with the strange dude, an' she didn't have a good feeling about this situation.

This mystery girl came out of nowhere as she was able to twist her arm out of the goon's grasp with the help of the new stranger. She inhaled to shout something back at the guy who had grabbed her, but seeing the smile on her face, Lyra understood the hint, "By the Force! I had to get some food before we jet!" she played along as the teen excused them from anymore confrontation from one of Nar Shaddaa's finest.

She walked with her arm still hooked with the other, occasionally glancing over her shoulder to make sure they were not being followed, but nothing told her to be alert to anything suspicious, well not as alert as she needed to be. She was on Nar Shaddaa after all.

"Hey, thanks a lot." she told her as she unhooked her arm, her shoulders relaxing, "I'm Lyra, I totally owe you one for helping me out of that." she said looking at her food, now probably cold and not as appetizing as when she first picked it up. "It feels like where ever you go in the galaxy, there are creeps like that guy."

Willa just winked once, only releasing the gal the moment they were around a corner and out of earshot. When she did, she exhaled gustily, shaking her head. "Thank the Force. Thought I was gonna haveta do some fancy duck and weave; that guy was a sleemo." Eyeing the other girl, full lips pursed for a hum.

"Willa, but pals call me Wiz," she smirked playfully. "No problem; us gals gotta stick together after all. Ya doin' alright, though? Seem a bit out of luck, kinda like me."

Actually... a lot like her. Rather a lot out of luck if she was to be frank, but she wasn't gonna. The least she could do was make sure the other kid got to someplace safer... ish.

Kindness paying forward and all that garbage.

"The galaxy seems to be limitless when it comes to sleemos." she stated flatly knowing this was the first time she has encountered such individuals. She was also pretty certain her new acquaintance was also familiar to such incidents. She shared her name with Lyra and even gave a nickname that she could easily follow. She found Wiz's hospitality surprising and felt herself become suspicious to her intent. However, she couldn't find the feeling in her gut that told her to give herself some distance from the teen.

She mentioned being down on luck and Lyra nodded, "There are more ways to make credits, but you don't make as much here." she explained, "I don't want to stay here any longer than I should, you see." she took a bite of her food, uncertain what to expect after the unexpected surprises she had so far.

"Do you live here?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder to make sure they were not being tailed for their quick exit.
