DESCRIPTION​

A customized brand of star yacht designed with pure, hands-off relaxation in mind by NalTech subsidiary Nalju Shipwrights (shortened to NalShips). The Black Vulture was inspired by the Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I used by Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. During the wars, NalTech, a Serenno-based company, helped the CiS produce battle droids for the Separatist war effort. It retained many of the schematics for the droids it helped produce, allowing it to adapt the Vulture droid line into something new and more luxurious.

Black Vultures are much larger than their droid starfighter predecessors, clocking in at about the same size as an H-type Nubian yacht, by whom they were also inspired. The Vulture's droid brain can store thousands of favorite locations, preprogram the navi-computer according to its owner's preferences, and even fly the ship on its own. Much like actual droids, Vulture's can develop personalities of their own, making them somewhat eccentric in a market of mostly silent ships. Some wealthy owners like this about their ships and allow the personality to develop so that the ship gets used to their unique taste. Others prevent one from developing with routine memory wipes.

Vulture yachts can also have the droid brain partly disabled to allow for traditional piloting to take place. Not only was this featured designed with the paranoid buyer in mind, it was also installed in case damage to the ship extended to the droid's brain. This would allow the ship's passengers to escape danger without being stranded.

The droid yachts came with minimal armament, making them legal in most systems and a favorite of wealthy politicians and corporate kingpins alike. The luxury suite within can be customized to include a mini-bar, space for entertaining, and a bedroom chamber for long flights.
