Remiel thought over everything Colonel Furtificus had said. After giving a speech about being wary of everyone - including Alsakans - and not being too trusting, he wanted to play a trust game. He knew Venator well enough to know that kindness and trust weren't things you could expect from him.

"Fine, here's to 'trust', then."

Turning around, he allowed the Force to abandon his eyes, creating the illusion of blindness around his Miralukan vision. Sighing, he fell backwards without a sound, heading straight for the shards of glass beneath him.

Venator caught Remiel as he fell, not even flinching beneath the weight of the Miraluka as he caught him. He presumed Remiel would have felt some degree of anxiety or fear as he fell, and smiled at the thought of such a thing. "Good. An Alsakan comrade who's faithful will catch you in such a way, and will support you. Just make sure, however, that they are a true Alsakan; you never know when one might stab you in the back, or take you out from behind." Venator stood above him. "Now, same again." Venator re-assumed his position.

Remiel heaved a sigh of relief as the Colonel's arms protected him from the glass shards stationed unevenly across the ground. His nerves calm and his vision restored, Remiel wiped the beads of sweat from his brow and glanced around. He allowed his eyes to get used to the Force's energies again before acknowledging his commanding officer's orders.

Repeating the process - albeit, much quicker - Remiel fell backwards yet again.

As Venator watched Remiel fall, he kicked out the glass silently with one swift movement, although Remiel wouldn't know the glass had been moved and would still think it was beneath him, and stepped out of the way, allowing him to fall freely to the floor. "Never trust anyone from the Republic. They'll do just that. A good Alsakan will support you, but any Republic soldier will let you fall, and will help you on your way. Pain will make you remember this message. Is that clear?"

Alone in the darkness, he noticed that Venator hadn't caught him almost immediately. Slightly startled, Remiel got ready for the inevitable burning sensation that the glass blades would cause. Listening to the Colonel speak, Remiel bit his lip seconds before hitting the ground, his body landing on the smooth surface where the glass had been strewn across only seconds before.

Allowing his sight to return, Remiel twitched as the Force flooded through what would be considered his 'eyes'. Turning around, Remiel propped himself upward and stood back on his feet, facing Venator.

"I understand, Colonel."

Venator laughed as Remiel accepted what had occurred; he would make a good soldier if he continued this in the way he was doing now, accepting the pain as it came. Although he couldn't simulate any sort of torture training for Remiel, he was sure he could take pain. Having known him from The Skeleton Guard, Venator felt he didn't need much more training in the way of the Alsakans; he was good to go. "Remiel Vaern." Venator said, looking over at the Miraluka. "That concludes your Alsakan training. I'd probably recommend you for the rank of Major, due to the fact that most of our Majors are languishing in a Republic cell." Venator spat viciously on the floor. "However, the decision doesn't rest with me. If you do, however, become a Major, I don't expect you to be captured like any of the others. I'll have little sympathy for you if you do." Venator saluted sharply before turning and striding away.
