Botajef: Heed our Judgement

[Tobian Solaris]

The shuttle ride down to the planet could not have taken any longer. First the pilot had to be replaced and then it turned out that there was a problem with the shuttle itself. It was repaired with no problems as it was a very minor repair. It was just a major annoyance to the lieutenant. Yes, he is eager to get down there and do his job. So the wait for the repair felt like it was taking forever to get done.

It is only him and Warden Kano Taes heading down to Botajef. He had worked with the warden before back at that mine.There the two seemed to work together well then, now it is a wait and see if the two will work together again. Their job was to find a highly wanted criminal and bring judgement upon him. It is a simple task, the problem was that they are looking for a needle in a really big haystack. And there is no telling if the criminal has allies willing to lay down their lives for him. That will not be a problem either for Tobian. It will mean scaring the living daylights out of the criminal some more before his own end is brought upon him.

The slight thump of the ship landing followed by the hissing sound as the ramp was lowered, the officer knew that now his job is going to start now.

"Well it is about time!" The Kuatian huffed in a mixture of annoyance and eagerness as he put on his helmet, the officer then slinged his rifle over his shoulder as he headed down the ramp. Looking around he can see storm clouds were starting to roll in and the streets starting to clear up as civilians started looking for shelter. At least there will be no problems having to navigate through crowded streets. He glanced over to Warden Taes, "At least the streets will be clear. Where do you suppose we should look first?" He asked the warden. Tobian was thinking the poorer parts but it is not a guarantee that the two will find the criminal there.

[Kano Taes]

The Kaleesh abomination walked down the ramp without saying a single word, an annoyed look on his face after the tedious shuttle ride and all the inconviniences they had to face before even getting on the planet. Kano wouldn't say a word about it, though, patience was something a hunter like himself had to have, even if his time was wasted by a few incompetent idiots, he couldn't just go ahead and kill them...they had to screw up a little more in order to do so.

"We have already took the information from one of his men, don't worry, just follow me" Kano said, walking towards the syndicate wherebouts, the two men would be walking for a few minutes before going inside an alleway that led them to a night club, from the outside, the duo would see that the the building has two floors, behind the glass door they could see the dance floor being on and a few people walking through it and doing guard, the music still going but on a much lower volume that when the place is open. The warden and the soldier would also notice that there was a balcony on the second floor, something that could be useful as a second entrance.

"All right, one of us is going through the balcony, while the other is storming through the door, this way we catch them by surprise, split their efforts and confuse them" Kano explained briefly his plan, taking out his four lightsabers and readying himself "I'll let you choose which way you want to go through, but let me go first to draw their attention, I can protect myself from the shots without going to cover and my appearance will make them focus on me too much for them to notice you until it's too late, giving you a better chance to take them out before they even know what hit them, understood?" The Kaleesh abomination added, he didn't expect these good for nothing criminals to be much trouble, but a plan is never unwelcomed, it is not wise to simply go guns blazing and try to kill everything by using brute force, after all.

The Kuatian looked to the Kaleesh as the warden spoke up. He had no idea that the where abouts of this criminal was already known. But then again the man is nkt quite high on the roster list and so information is not always sent his way. It didn't bother him since eventually he will be able to get such information before missions are to take place. The man nodded, "Yes, Sir." as he started following the warden through the streets to an alleyway.

As they approached a two story building the officer could tell that it was some sort of nightclub. No it is not as active as it would be during open hours, but there was still some decent activity. Noticing the balcony the man took in what he has observed so far. The balcony will come in handy as a second entrance for one of them. But which one will the people inside least expect one of them to enter from.

"Alright. Sounds like a plan." The lieutenant said as he observed the balcony, looking for how he will get up there if he is the one take that route. If he decided to take that way that is. Looking to the doorway the officer reached the conclusion that there could be a decent number of armed people on both floors. So both had an equal risk. Taking a deep breath as the dark haired male reached his conclusion, "I will take the balcony. If there is anyone up there the commotion will draw their attention enough for me to get the drop on them as well. Plus they may be expecting someone like you....a sith to take the balcony. Not the front door." The man had no idea if his observation was correct. But he is still technically learning on the job. Moving over to the balcony he as quietly climbed on top of a durasteel fence of some sort that closed of the building from the rest of the alley. Putting himself in position.

Kano let out a smile after hearing Tobian's conclusion, the man had renached the same conclusion the Kaleesh abomination did, proving him that he knew more than just shooting, then again, he was a lieutenant of the Sith empire, he wouldn't be in that rank if he lacked the brains to plan things a little and choose the better options "Excellent, lets get to it then" He said, activating his lightsabers and waiting for his partner to get into position.

Once they both were ready, the Kaleesh abomination slashed through the doors and forced his way in, the sound of the glas breaking and hitting the floor alerting the guards, there were three that Kano could see, two talking at the bar and another one near the dance floor, Kano walked towards the two guards, lightsabers up and a predatory grin on his face, the guards obviously shot at him to try and take them down, but unfortunately, those bolts would be returned, hitting one of the two guards at the bar right in the chest, taking him out for good. The other one didn't even get to react to his partner's death before getting impaled by Kano's lightsaber, falling on top of his partner. Only one on the first floor was alive, his pulse wavering, his gun pointing at the abomination but not shooting, the man having a expression of fear in his face, not daring to shoot him because of the chance of the bolt being directed back at him. The Kaleesh abomination used the force to pull the blaster away from the man and then pull him towards himself, grabing him by the neck with his third arm and letting a smile escape his lips. The guard back at the second floor would aim and shoot at Kano, realizing who would lift the guard up and use him as a meat shield.

Tobian would be able to notice the only man currently guarding the second floor aiming at the Sith Master.

Brion waited on top of the durasteel fencing for the Kaleesh to enter the building first. As soon as his partner made the dramatic entrance, the lieutenant used the noise to his advantage. Jumping up he grabbed onto the balcony railing and hoisted himself up and over. His feet landing on the metal flooring of the balcony with a metallic thud that was muffled by the noise on the first floor.

Peeking inside the human watched the solitary guard on the second floor turn away from the glass doorway to the stairs when the guard seemed to realize the noise downstairs was not normal. Sliding the door open as quietly as possible, the officer made sure to close it so the slight breeze didn't alarm the guard.

Hearing the commotion downstairs come to a stop, Tobian guessed that Warden Taes had neutralized the guards on the first floor. That was when the Kuatian noticed the guard on the same floor as himself aiming his rifle at his superior. A shot went off and Tobian ran over yelling, "Hey!" Once getting the guard's attention the Imperial Officer disarmed him by knocking his rifle out of his hands then shot him point blank in the head with his own drawn pistol.

Watching the body slump to the floor, walked around the second floor, making sure no one else is on that level of the building. There was only one way to the second floor, besides the balcony, the stairs. So Tobian quickly walked down the stairs holstering his pistol and unslinging his rifle thinking that the commotion will draw in more enemy forces.

Before Tobian got to walk downstairs, the imperial trooper would realize that there was a big metallic door in the second floor, the door got opened, a voice coming out of there "Can't you guys stay kriffing silent? We are having a reunion over...OH SHIT" The guard that came out exclaimed, readying his rifle while other two came out lf the door "Stay here boss!" the last one said, closing the door and revealing their target's position. The three thugs would shoot at Tobian as soon as they positioned themselves, trying to earn their payroll and hopefully get a promotion after protecting the nightclub.

Meanwhile, another 6 members would come from the other side, more prepared but still as stupid as the rest of the thugs, they entered in pairs tww behind the others, Kano wanted to tale care of them as quickly as he could, the first pair shoot a couple shots at the Kaleesh abomination, who would deflect them back, the pair would quickly move out of the way and get behind cover, letting the shots land in the chest and shoulder of the ones behind them, Kano would use that small window of time he had before getting shot at to create a burst of flames headed towards the entrance, roasting the four thugs that were still entering the place, leaving only the first two, who seemed the most experienced, as they kept shooting and taking cover, using their surroundings on their favor instead of shooting like idiots just to be killed by their own bolts.

Tobian barely got to the stairs in order to go down to his superior. But it appears that the criminals do in fact have a hiding place on the second floor. He must have missed it due to the poor lighting in the place and the fact that his visor makes dark places appear darker than what they are. Either way as he turned around to face the three guards that were coming for him, Tobian spotted where their target is located, "Warden Taes, the target is up here!" He yelled into his comlink to let the abomination know he had located their target.

One of the three guards rushed the Imperial officer, who in turn shot him point blank in the abdomen. To add to the dying guard's misery, the Kuatian used the man's body as a shield in response to the other two guards putting up heavy fire. While using the heavily beaten up corpse of the guard as a shield, Tobian was able to get behind cover when he reached a L shaped bar counter. All up on the shelves were a variety of alcoholic drinks and drinking glasses. Perfect way to spy on the two guards, and it served that purpose well. As one of the remaining two got out of cover, Tobian leaned out from around the corner of his cover and shot at the guard.

Ducking back behind his cover as the remaining guard shot at him. The officer looked up at the array of glasses to watch the remaining guard. Spotting where he can get the drop on him, Tobian moved to the cover of a sofa to conceal his movement. Seeming to work because the guard started firing at the bar counter he was just hiding behind. Looking out from behind the sofa, thr Imperial saw that there is indeed an opening he can use to get behind the guard while he is focused on the bar counter.

The Kaleesh abomination was busy gathering the force while deflecting the two men shots when Tobian informed him about the target's location, Kano didn't feel like wasting more time than needed when they had the criminal scum right where they wanted him "Out of my way!" Kano's voice resonated with great strength inside the heads of the two thugs that he was fighting, the air around him becoming much more darker, filled with malicious intent as the Kaleesh's body took an even more sickening and terrifying form in the eyes of those that saw it, Kano's dark presence frightening the two guards to the point they would flee in terror, going through the exit and running away from their nightmares, the dark air dissappeared after they left and Kano looked like he always had, sometimes the dark side of the force could be used as more of a psychological weapon, which could be more effective than just a bunch of flames or lightning, it was true that those two would live to fight another day, but Kano had other interests at the moment.

The Kaleesh abomination would walk up the stairs, looking for the last guard just to realize that the metallic door was opening, the target most likely thinking about trying to go for it and somehow run from lieutenant and the warden, Kano would use the force to violently close the door against him, hitting him in the head and then crushing his fingers with it, the screams of pain drawing the last guard's attention, who would turn his head for a brief moment and probably give Tobian enough time to end his life. Kano would also be reaching the second floor at that moment, so his dead was practically ensured.

Tobian was sneaking around trying to catch the guard in a corner as the bloke was so focused on where the officer was previousy taking cover at. The lieutenant had just informed his superior of their target's location and now was getting ready to take out the last guard. But was ensuring he will get a clear shot of the enemy.

The guard is defending a wanted criminal. So the punishment for defending the man is nothing but death. The Kuatian noticed that he had a clear shot of the guard when the door the target was hiding behind started to open only to violently close back up as Warden Taes used the force to close it. The painful scream from their target made the guard turn his attention towards the Kaleesh. Seeing the guard raise his weapon, Tobian fired two shots into the guard, one to the back of his chest and neck. It will be a small wait for death to come for the man, but he has been neutralized.

Stepping out of where he had been taking cover, Tobian looked to the Warden as he came up the stairs then to the beaten up door that their target has been hiding behind the entire time. His weapon trained on the location, doubting the criminal had the backbone to try making an escape for a second time.

When Kano arrived to the second floor, he looked at the dead guards that Tobian took care of, nodding in approval at the lieutenant "Good job, now, lets complete the main objective" The Kaleesh abomination said before opening the door and entering the boss' office, full of expensive decorations, paintings and jewelry decorating the walls, expensive spices on the desk for when the leader wanted to have a good time, such materialism upsetted Kano, specially since it was paid with blood money, the play may look pretty, but the Kaleesh abomination actually saw the lack of beauty on it.

The leader of the gang didn't seem like someone that would be feared for their physhical prowess, he was a fat Devaronian of medium size, the man was large and bulky, dressing with a black suit, one of his horns lacking and a very ugly burn scar on the left side of the face, the man was currently sitting in his chair, cursing under his breath and looking in terror at the two members of the sit empire as they entered the room, putting the blaster on the desl as he saw that there was no way he could best them in combat.

"Look, guys, you don't have to kill me, we can all be friends here, look" He said as he took a suitcase from under his desk revealing that inside of it there was lots of money "If...if you let me live, you can get to keep this to yourselves, not only that, but i'll tell you where is the rest of it, don't you hardworking men think you need some rest? Pretty sure this would be able to pay even the most expensives of vacations!" The man said, trying to sound as confident and charismatic as he could, trying to show no fear, to make it look like he wasn't very desperate at the moment, the man awaited for an answer, a smile forming on his lips while sweat dropped from his head. In response, Kano simply pulled the blaster from the desk towards himself so the Devaronian couldn't use it. "Tobian, would you like to do the honors?" The Kaleesh abomination said, a smile forming on his face as he saw the leader's one dissappear.

Tobian followed Kano to the room their target is hiding in, "Yes, sir." He said obediently as he followed the Warden into the room. Noticing how lavishly decorated the room was made the Kuatian feel rather sick. In lart because what bought all of this was blood money. Not from someone earning an honest living. There was absolutely no beauty in the room at all. If ordered the officer would gladly burn the whole place to the ground.

Looking at the Devarion coldly as the fat man appeared to be terrified and frantically thinking through his options. The man looking at the servants of the Empire calmly, but the officer can still see as clear as day that he is terrified. Oh man how badly he just wants to put an end to this criminal. He silently listened to the man, his eyes following his chubby hands to the suitcase. Inside being tons of money. Dirty money. What did the man do to get all that money? All sorts of possibilities went through the officer's head. The imaginations of how the man came across all this money was one thing, but to bribe the two men into letting him live? Tobian clenched his jaw tightly thinking that such a man did not deserve a place in the Empire or the rest of the galaxy.

His eyes followed the blaster as Warden Taes used the force to gently move it out of the criminal's reach. Tobian guessed that either through reading his mind or his body language that the Warden knew that Tobian wanted to end this worthless thug once and for all. He nodded, "With pleasure. Thank you, sir." He smiled at the Warden then turned his attention back to their target. Oh he will have fun with this.

Walking over to the man he fired two bolts, one to each knee so the criminal couldn't get away, "No we don't want your filthy money." He said coldly as he neared his prey watching the fear take over the man. Tobian may not be a Sith but he knows how to scare the living daylights out of someone if he wanted to do so, "Why would we let a piece of filth like you walk around when we don't know all the details of how you got all this money? Does money buy you your life when there is already a target on your back? Hmm?" He forced the Devaronian to look at him when his gaze went to the Warden, "It doesn't." Tobian answered as he straightened himself then fired a bolt into the man's skull. Looking over the corpse the officer turned and walked out wanting to get out of that room.
