Bounty Acquisition Office and Archives

[Insoulent]

The Bounty Acquisition Office building is located in the center of Nal Hutta where it is most protected by the Hutt Cartel. The large grand-scale entry hall is built with multiple countermeasures to ensure the safety and protection of the agents who serve the Cartel, including numerous armed guards and sentry cannons that lone the ceiling. A built in mini-prison hidden beneath the ground, on the basement levels, this office houses criminals and completed contracts that come off of the Cartels Bounty board. A place where any and all completed bounties are to be brought so that a certain level of organization is kept within the archives.

Any bounty that is completed must be brought here. In a single post, including the name of the bounty and the link to the corresponding thread. Please submit your bounties in character.

Erack walked into the office for the first time. He didn't have time to look around he headed straight for the desk when he saw the line. It took a second to click in his mind that there were more bounty hunters than just him. Waiting for half a hour he walked up to the desk where he saw the man give him a look " why are you wearing your armour inside". Erack looked at him before shoving the Datapad in his face " do your job and don't Talk to me" Erack answered very bluntly., " that's all the information I received also a overview of how I achieved the bounty and a chip holding the image from my helmet that proves what happened".

The man took everything while typing on the computer, after a few minutes Erack bent down to the man's height " I have a lot of work to do kind sir so are we done here or do you need me for some more waste of time paperwork?". The man shook his head without saying nothing, Erack turned around and left thinking to himself if I have to come back here again before I die it will still be too soon

Dag and Bastille made their way into the Bounty Acquisition Office. They pushed the young twi'lek along through a series of lines and waiting periods. As they made their way up towards the desk they were stopped, "There were three of you, what happened to....Gauis," Dag paused as he glanced towards Bastille and then back to the Clerk, "He didn't survive the trip."

The Clerk gave a sigh, "Another dead hunter...fifth one today, but I'm glad you brought Darla back in. Thank you for your work." Dag and Bastille gave a nod and they turned the girl away towards the authorities.

Nakoma stepped into the Bounty Acquisition Office and Archives for the first time since becoming a member of the Cartel. She was proud of herself for completing her first contract, but bearing a smile as wide as the galaxy was something she was certain would be unacceptable as she turned over the pathetic worm at her side, Eddy Drubel.

As the slender woman with olive skin and raven hair approached the desk where paperwork was completed, filed, and detained targets were turned over, she gave a stern shove to the slimy individual beside her. "This is Eddy Drubel and this is the merchandise that he stole," Nakoma spoke into the mind of the petite blonde woman behind the desk. Her eyebrows rose out of surprise when the Laku'na communicated with her via telepathy.

"Deaf," the mostly mute and deaf woman spoke the word with her mouth. With a nod and new understanding, the processor passed a form over the desk which Nakoma quickly signed and then returned along with a bundle of data pads, vials, and syringes that she had retrieved from the laboratory. "He's all yours..." Nakoma added as two armed guards moved in to take Eddy into custody. The Knight removed her stun cuffs from his wrists and returned them to their clip upon her utility belt at her back.

With a brief glance around the massive hall, the woman turned on her heel and departed, hoping to begin making regular visits to this place.

Marcus entered the acquisitions office. Behind him a body bag slid across the floor the contents of the bag were his reason for being here. The spice heads mind was still foggy as he made his way into through the disgustingly gaudy building. The golden walls turned Radik's stomach. As he made his way to the "Drop-Box" he felt the eyes of other cartel regulars fall upon him. With one hand dragging the dead body of Mara Fae and the other upon his pistol holstered at his side. Marcus may have been new to the cartel but he wasn't new to the stupidity these cronies of the Hutt's contained.

Suprisingly enough he made it to the window without incident. The being behind the glass turned and looked at him. With a slight smile she said "Can I help you?" His eyes met hers he reached into his back pocket and pulled his Datapad out of his pants. He released the carcass behind him and slid open the device pulling up the correct information while still holding eye contact with the young woman behind the counter. He slid the datapad to her without a word and she looked it over. "Oh! Your turning in Mara Fae. I see. Please place the body over there." she pointed to a literal "Drop-Box" and with a slight grunt Radik picked up the 110 lbs body and literally threw it into the drop-box. Radik turned his attention back to the receptionist and he sniffed slightly wrinkling his noes as if nothing happened and, throwing a dead body across the room was normal behavior.

"Uh, r-right. Do you have the report?" Radik sighed becoming impatient with the tedious hoops one had to jump through in order to appease the business portion of the Hutt's. He pulled out a folder and slid it to her. The papers were wrinkled and some were torn slightly, but all of the information was there. If she didn't like it then tough.

"Thank you. That's all. We have your information Mr. Radik, you'll receive your money in a few days." Marcus starred at her with bored and uninterested eyes as she spoke. As soon as her gums stopped flapping the addict turned his back on her and left. The mission was over the target was dead and the credits would be transferred into his account in a matter of days.

Mjolla hadn't been in the Bounty Acquisition Office in a long time. In fact, the last time she was here, the building was still technically under construction. It was funny to her how things changed so often within the Cartel. Behind her was a small hoversled holding a relatively small steel box. She approached the front counter and smiled at the receptionist.

"Hello, I'm here to turn in a bounty," the killer said in her most proper tone.

"And which would that be, madam?" the female Twi'lek receptionist asked imperiously.

"Toruk'mak'tohu," Mjolla replied with a smile.

"Proof of kill?" the Twi'lek inquired.

Mjolla merely motioned toward the hoversled, which lifted up to chest-level. The bounty hunter then opened the steel crate, revealing the pale-white scaled head of Toruk'mak'tohu. The Ssi-Ruu's eyes were still wide open in an attempt to see the final blow which had snuffed out her life yet never could. Mjolla had taken great pains to clean the head up after she'd severed it, and it rested on a rather appealing dark wooden platter.

"And the other requirement?" the receptionist then asked.

"I'd prefer to bring that directly to Lord Borga myself," Mjolla explained in a tone that seemed to scream "Do not test me."

The Twi'lek visibly paled slightly and nodded. Normally she would have prepared to summon guards at such a demand, but Mjolla's name was on the carefully guarded list of people with permission to even request an audience with the new Granee Lorda. Sadly, it seemed as if all of the great Hutt's appointment times were booked solid, and the receptionist informed her visitor as such.

"But we do have a slot open to meet with His Lordship's Champios, Elohim Aeon, tomorrow after lunch," the cowed female added to appease the bounty hunter.

Mjolla had expected this, as she was sure that Borga was far too busy trying to shore-up his new dominion and quell any potential threats to his rule. She hadn't expected the meeting with Elohim, however. She'd prepared herself to deal with Yuri Sharp, who she'd had some measure of dealings with in the past. Elohim Aeon was a complete unknown to her.

"Schedule it then," Mjolla ordered, "and deposit the credits into my account as soon as they're ready. Feel free to take a 100 credit tip for yourself as well for your timely services."

"Yes, ma'am," the Twi'lek woman replied, letting out a sigh of relief when the killer nodded politely and left. She really hated this detail, but the job paid well and the occasional tip for a pleasant experience helped feed her family. Mjolla made a mental note to remember this woman. She never knew when she might need a receptionist after all.

The receptionist was about to call out for Mjolla to fill out the paperwork necessary to claim the bounty, but she really didn't want to face her again. This one was worse than dealing with Vica. At least the Zeltron-hybrid was open with her emotions and could be predictable. So, the lowly Twi'lek female filled out the forms for her visitor with a smile. After all, one hundred credits was a day's work for her, and she'd even gotten to keep her life.

Lorena didn't bother dressing up for her trip to the bounty office, fitting in nicely with the grungy hunters and conniving mercs. The place made her uncomfortable. Opulent, sure, but not in a good way. You could tell walking in where all the money in here came from. Lorena fell in line, doing her best to look bored and blend into the background.

"Well howdy there," said the perky clerk at the front. "What can i getcha tonight?"

"Turning in a bounty," said Lorena. "Well. Kind of. Datapad's here." She slid it through a slit in the durable, blasterproof glass. No wonder the girl was in a good mood. Nothing could touch her back there.

"Oh this is just dandy," said the clerk. "I've been real worried about ol' Nigel, glad someone was there to help!"

"Sure. That's me. Helper girl." Lorena took back the datapad. "So, he's in hiding now, should I - "

"Oh just have him sit tight, we'll be out to fetch him in a jiff. And pay your fee, of course." The clerk smiled. She was clearly done with the matter. "Next!"

Aside from briefly doffing his helmet while safely onboard his ship, Tylas hadn’t removed his armor since he’d originally slid into the suit just after threatening Fring in the club. Just under two days he’d remained encased in the suit. There was no practical reason for it; he certainly wasn’t afraid of the squid in the rear of the ship. Menta was absolutely secure, spending the hours in the durasteel cage that came with the Hutt-provided ship and, until very recently, had primarily been used to house Dux, the vornskr consolation prize. Perhaps that was why the Hapan remained armored. Having opted to not clip the animal’s tail, the canine was particularly aggressive at times and, unless Tylas made a concerted effort to quash his Force presence, tended to glare predatorily at its new owner. Mostly, though, he kept the suit on as a reminder of his accomplishment, an exhausted satisfaction.

Donning the helmet again after settling the heavy fighter on Nal Hutta, Tylas marched the Mon Calamari the short distance from the landing pad to the bounty acquisition office, not even bothering to keep a weapon trained on the defeated alien. Fring was dead, he knew it, and his feet shuffled with a weary resignation that he was being marched to his death. Hell, the MagnaCuffs that held the man’s webbed hands together at his back probably weren’t necessary. Still, Tylas didn’t want to risk the Mon Cal getting clever and making an attempt to end his own life, and kept within arm’s reach of the bounty, occasionally providing a prompting shove to keep him on course.

Edging past a small queue, Tylas pushed Menta lightly against the counter and addressed the entirely nondescript woman behind the transparisteel barrier, “Here to turn in a bounty.”

“Name of bounty?” The woman said dutifully, fingers slapping away at a small console.

“Menta Fring,” he turned his head to regard the Mon Calamari. “Say hello, Menta,” Tylas said. The Mon Calamari flashed his captor an utterly burnt-out look and, before he was able to respond in any way, the Hapan lifted a hand briskly palm the back of the man’s head and slam the side of his face into transparisteel with a hollow thunk. “Forgive him, he can be so very uncouth.” The Hapan mocked, releasing his hold on the alien’s head but keeping his hand perched in anticipation of some sort of response. Instead, Fring simply resumed his hunched posture.

The woman shot the man in the full armor a cautious glance before continuing on with the required questions and qualifications of submitting a bounty. Tylas had heard them before and, before she had even finished with the legally-obligated lecture on payment being conditional on a number of factors, held out a hand for the receipt. The woman pulled a face before gesturing for guards to collect Fring. Retrieving his MagnaCuffs before handing the squid off in one hand, he snatched the piece of flimsi offered through the protective barrier in the other. Glancing down at the small document, he examined the report in a quick check for accuracy.

Throwing a mock salute to the beleaguered receptionist with the MagnaCuffs, Tylas moved to leave the office, flipping the receipt over to skim the legalese he always found so amusing. Various stipulations about confirmation of identity prior to payment, that the small card was not legal tender, and so on. Shaking his head, he laughed softly in amusement and stepped out of the office.

Eric set the Second Chance down at the landing pad of the Bounty Acquisition Office. The trip from Nar Shadaa had been brief and uneventful. He unloaded a swoop from the cargo hold and rode it into the office's impound lot. The swoop would serve as his proof-of-kill, and had spray-painted lettering on each side of the bike that clearly read 'Iron Slugs'. After a short walk, Eric entered the lavishly decorated lobby, and handed a file folder to the receptionist. It contained the necessary hard-copy paperwork, and a data-chip containing his report on the bounty. With a nod of confirmation from the receptionist, Eric left the office and boarded his ship.

Nika's face was void of emotion as she entered the Bounty Acquisition Office upon Nar Shaddaa. Her eyes did not wander as they had the first time she returned to this place to turn over a target and Cartel property. With clenched jaw and clenched fists, the woman approached the desk where a silent man passed a datapad full of forms to her.

A ragged breath escaped the Guardian's lips as she glanced up into Zane's eyes. There was a peace behind the forested depths that warmed her heart. He placed a gentle hand upon the small of her back as she set in to fill in the necessary information on the electronic device upon the counter.

"The body of Talsas Hagrassnak." He said in low tones while pointing over his shoulder to a large crate resting atop a hovering pallet. The silent man typed a few things into the system in front of him and finally spoke. "And what of the stolen cargo?" Nika looked up from her task and pointed behind the boxed body and out the doors of the office.

The man nodded and typed again before speaking into the communication device upon his wrist. He called in the acquisition security crew to handle receiving the goods back into Cartel inventory. The raven haired woman signed the electronic documents and passed the datapad to Zane who did the same. She then handed the device over the counter to the acquisition officer who offered the semblance of a smile.

"Thank you for your continued service to the Cartel. That will be all," he said in a flat tone. The woman and her lover departed from the desk and passed by the crate which held the body of the dead pirate captain. The Prospect looked away as a vivid memory flooded her mind...images of the carnage from the day before splattered across her consciousness like the blood that she and Zane had spilled did.

Without a word, the pair stepped through the glass doors of the office as they snapped close behind them with a hiss. Zane silently took his lover's hand as the pair slowly meandered back to his hover bike and then rode off into the day, ready to conquer the next challenge.

Frath entered the bounty acquisition offices with the Dug Deenaba in tow and at gunpoint. The Dug was shackled and shortly after entering the offices was ushered off into the prison. Frath approached the clerk and motioned to Deenaba. "That one's mine. Best keep him in solitary or he'll find a way to slither out of this place." Frath said as the clerk passed him some paperwork. Frath signed off on the bounty using his fake Cartel name, Alan Vol, and accepted the credit transfer from the offices.

The clerk muttered something and Frath nodded and smiled pretending to be listening and caring. Frath left as soon as he could and opened up the new bounty board. It had been a few weeks since he'd been here last and wanted to see if there was something a bit more challenging for his next target.

Gemma walked up to the office desk, unsure of how things went; this being her first drop off ever. She dropped a recording on the desk and played it.

“I have come here to try and persuade you... if this is the first attempt think of what the next is going to look like. The Cartel is an unforgiving force, it doesn't just stop because a person says they are not interested. We get what we want – end of story.”

“Fine. I will do it. Get your dog off mine and we will let you leave peacefully. I am not a dog of the Cartel, but I will work with them. Again, I said WITH them not FOR them.”

She stopped the recording and smiled to the clerk. Gemma dropped a piece of paper with her account on it.

“I guess you can put the money in the account there.”

With a smile, Gemma turned and walked out the door.

Axe was still covered in dirt and dried blood as he made his way inside the office and stepped up to the counter. Sizing up the older female clerk as she looking him over in apparent disapproval.

"Can I help you?", the woman barked sounding as if she spend the majority of her years sucking on the exhaust pipe of a racing speeder bike. Axe look to the clerk with a grin holding his arm out like a curtain girl at a gambling house on Nar Hutta. The ear piercing sound of mangled metal on stone floors echoed threw the main hall as the astromech drug in the Viper Probe-Droid toward the counter.

It was payday. The bounty office was larger than he was expecting and certainly didn’t lack in security. As he walked in he observed the auto-turrets and heavily armed guards that surrounded the area. Add to that the fact that most of the individuals coming and going were heavily armed mercenaries and it really wasn’t the kind of place you wanted to attack.

He walked up to the clerk and handed her a datapad:

After a moment she looked up and said, “The Cartel thanks you for your work.”

“Just deliver the credits to my account.”

“Of course Mr. Veren. Feel free to browse the boards to find more work. Have a nice day.”

Veren thought she seemed way too chipper for the job she had, but that wasn’t his concern. With his business done he turned and left the office to find his next job.

Entering the Aquisition Office, Rahkkin held in one hand his vibrospear; in the other, he dragged Magross Yunge. The Trianii carried himself proudly through the large hall until being stopped by security where he was relieved of his vibrospear temporarily until he would leave to depart.

The spare hand made it much easier to move the Ithorian across the floor and up to the reception window. "Rahkkin Huud to claim the bounty on Magross Yunge." the feline stated plainly as if he were dealing with any normal business transaction. All the while Margoss lie at his feet silently.

Looking up up from her work, the Twi'lek receptionist did not appear to be having a good day. Her expression was blank with a mix of exhaustion and boredom. Sarcastically she said "Good for you. Dead or alive?"

Rahkkin raised his fur-coveted brows. "Alive..." He looked down. "Uh...actually." The bounty hunter bent down to check for a pulse. She had been alive back in the ship, just unconscious. "Yeah, actually she's dead."

The injuries she sustained during her capture sees to have overcome her within the last several minutes.

"I don't care." the receptionist said bluntly. "The seventeen thousand will be transferred to you within twenty-four hours. Just leave her there." The woman was done talking to Rahkkin. Without hesitation she began doing some other work that was on her desk.

Rahkkin could care less how he was tested at the Acquisition Office. He got paid and that is all that mattered. Turning away, he began his walk back to the ship, but not before retrieving his vibrospear.

"Y'know the Cartel could have just called if they wanted to hire me," Minato grumbled as Solus led him into the acquisitions office.

"You get good reception hanging around in abandoned warehouses?" Solus asked sarcastically. She had a blaster on him, but for the most part the man had been pretty cooperative after she'd told him that the Cartel just wanted to hire him. When she'd been tracking him, she'd been sure that he would have been aware of the bounty on him, but that seemed not to be the case.

Well you couldn't be right about everything.

"I'm sure they just wanted to impress upon you the lengths they're willing to go to, to get you some gainful employment in their service," She continued, still being incredibly sarcastic. Although she wouldn't bet that, that hadn't been at least a part of the reason why the Cartel had put a bounty out on him. If they were willing to do that before hiring him, she was sure he could just imagine what they'd do him if he ever tried leaving their service without giving them his two weeks notice first.

"Now come on we've got some filework to fill out," She said, leading him over to one of the drop off stations. For a criminal organization the Cartel really liked to have everything written out nice, and in triplicate. One might even say the amount of hoops you had to jump through were...criminal.

But even with that, it was still a pretty easy way to earn 5,000 credits.
