"Chaos gripped the holo-space in the early hours of this evening as a series of photographs have surfaced on the holo-net. Their content? Pictures of ISC President Emryc Thorne (@Sreeya) being shot by a group of unknown individuals. He was in the middle of a charity dinner when the perpetrators accosted him in the bathroom. The following images may prove to be disturbing to some. Viewer discretion is advised."
The camera zoomed out from Jako's upper torso, then panned off toward a wall as the series of photos faded in. They rifled through slowly, showing Thorne in the process of being shot, a single flash of light brightening up the shot to imperceptibility.
"Whether that was a lethal or stun shot, one thing is certain: President Thorne is in trouble. Though no conditions have been voiced from the individuals and they have not made themselves known, authorities are hard at work trying to trace them down from the account that made the post. It is too early to make any predictions or speculations, but our thoughts are with President Thorne and his closed ones in this time of trial."
AD BREAK
The transmission stopped, resuming back to a cartoon about a Rodian gunslinger. Jako loosened up his face muscles and then went to get some coffee, the President's kidnapping/murder still on his mind. He did not like Thorne, and considered him to being just yet another millionaire in a Galaxy of them, a rich man who wanted to play Chancellor with defenseless planets with his credits. So it was quite clear that Jako did not actually care about Thorne or his closed ones--but those were thoughts he kept to himself.
