It was a pretty gloomy day in Coronet City today, dark clouds, it looked like it was about to rain any minute now, he could hear thunder in the background, even with the business of the industrial district being loud in the background, with cranes moving, and the sound of other heavy equipment.
Today, Newton is here to meet with a client in regards to building them a droid, he was contacted and agreed. As a roboticist, this is Newton's specialty, the design and making of droids. He's not doing this on behalf of his normal employer Blackwell, but it's a side gig that should pay on completion.
Newton is at the habor, overlooking the waters, treated to a sight of a larger vessel under construction. The Blackwell Roboticist wasn't wearing anything fancy today, wearing a more casual outfit along with a jacket, and had an umbrella in hand, because of the weather. Newton's astromech droid, M7 is with him, with his assistant droid L3 waiting on the ship on standby.
Checking at his chrono, it's getting closer towards the time designated to meet his contact. Will the contact be early, on-time, or fashionably late? He can't say he knows much about him, so it's anyone's guess, but for now he will be waiting.
Nero would be moving through the gloomy overcast city of Coronet. Dark clouds covered the vast sky as Nero wore a leather jacket with a few patches stitched into the sides and front. A black long sleeve underneath covering another red shirt layered over his body. His green piercing eyes looking forward as the rain began to show itself from the clouds. Small specs would begin to fall and hit the ground as patrons and mostly workers went about their business in the industrial district. Making his way through the area as thunder began booming and lighting would be sure to follow.
Walking past the homeless who lay on the streets and alleyways circling around old barrels of fuel that were cleaned out and used as stoves with wood and whatever garbage they could light to stay warm in the night time cold. Nero has his usual blaster pistol tucked to his side but he had his doubts he would need it. He managed to contact a young man who had a rather adapt skill set in droid building and was slowly making a name for himself in the trade.
Nero would appear on the end of the harbor as he noticed Newton standing there with a astro droid next to him. Wasn't hard to tell this is who he was looking for. Letting one of his tattooed hands slip into his jacket he would retrieve a metal cigarra case and take one out. Packing the tobacco as he tapped it off the metal case and rolled it on his lips before tucking it in the corner. He would light it with his small igniter and shove them both back into the contents of his jacket. Taking a long drag the tattooed Syndicate would move towards him before stopping shortly. "Newton, I presume?" His voice was hard pressed and his eyes stared into him. Exhaling slowly through his nose as he raised above Nero's face and into the sky slowly dissipating.
It wouldn't be too long longer, before too long, he would hear him being addressed by name, with him and M7 turning around to face him, he knew that was his client for today. He looked at his features, he looks rough, has lots of tattoos visible, even on his head. Newton had a professional demenor on him still, his stern expression not changing.
"Yes, Im' Newton. " he said, answering him. "And you must be Nero, pleasure.". he nodded his head. While the two are beginning their exchange, the rest of the Industrial district still continues being busy as usual,
Newton would if Nero would appreciate skipping pleasantries and how you does in favor of getting right down to why they are here today. "You need a droid made, correct?" the Blackwell roboticist asked to confirm. If that is still the case, he would also ask "What kind did of droid was it were you wanting?" Newton would ask his client, Newton would be ready to listen to what Nero is looking for in a droid.
Nero would nod to his welcome back. Tapping the cigarra on the ground as it seemed he was rather intelligent. Well dressed and was for sure making a name for himself with his Droid work and attitude. Straight to the chase which Nero liked. "indeed I am." he would look at him with a straight face. Taking another drag of his cigarra as he added during the exhale. "I'm looking for you to build a Pilot droid, Something that can handle this.." he would slowly let his tattooed hand reach in his jacket and pull out a rolled up document. A blue print of the ship himself and his partners were planning to use as home. The Garrison . Nero would hand them over for Newton to have a look.
"Also i'm adding to the table..I need a Astromech droid." He would eye him as he took a took another drag of his cigarra and flicked his smoke off to the side. He would take them back when Newton was ready. Waiting for his response as the rain trickled down on the pair as the gloomy skies stayed dark in the background. He was patient, curious to see what his price would be. If he did good work and kept his mouth shut about clients than Nero would probably be requiring his services even more.
So, a pilot droid, and Newton was then showed a picture of the ship his client was going to use. He nodded his head, it looks like an impressive ship. 35 meters, 50 top speed with average maneuvering characteristics, and aesthetically pleasing chassis. pretty robust. A poorly made pilot droid wouldn't handle such a ship very well and last for long, but fortunately for Nero, he doesn't make poor quality droids.
And then Nero said he was adding another droid unto the table, Newton raised his eyebrow slowly, but still had a natural expression on his face. He thought he was here for just one, but now he's asking for another one as well. He would respond. "So, a pilot droid and an Astromech droid." he echoed just to confirm. The Blackwell employee would then nod his head "I can do that." He paused. He would stop nodding his head. "Lets see, with that being said, 9500 credits for the two droids." He gave a reasonable price for the droids he thought. Newton isn't really cut throat enough to charge premium high prices for such a service. This is a hobby on the side, that gets some extra credits in his pocket.
Pausing long enough for Nero to process that, he would then "So what you say? Deal?" If he accepts, they can get to it.
Nero would nod to him as he repeated everything over again. "Yes, I'll need them done as soon as possible." With that he would than hear Newton's price. To be honest it was beyond fair for what Nero thought he would be paying into. His expression staying the same as he nodded to him. "9,500 Credits it is." He would retrieve another cigarra from his metal case and tap it off the side. Sliding it on his lips before sticking it in his mouth. The rain really began to pour down as Nero turned to scan out towards the busy sector.
"I'll send you the credits right away. Take this datapad if you need to reach me. It has my number along with most of my other contact information. " he would take a long drag and exhale as he looked Newton in the eye. "I"ll be counting on you, don't let me down." he would nod with that and turned around exhaling his smoke as he slowly began to fade off in the distance and blend in with the busy industry sector as he just became one with the background.
