Zeltros, Inner Rim.
Zel System.
2100 Hours.

Downtown.

Jack Seypka would be at the bar "Nova". A flashy bar that held beautiful views over the waterline along the busy city. The tables almost sitting near the water with glass panes stopping the ocean spray from hitting their feet. The neon lights bustling and the weather was warm. The humidity alone was overwhelming during the day but at night the cool lukewarm wind seemed to be just perfect for a balance against the nights reign over the planet for the night everyday. Jack would have have a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His suspenders ontop of the shirt with black dress pants. His pale blue eyes scanning the city as parties could be seen on different balconies.

Inhaling the smoke and exhaling it quietly he would wait for his meeting with none other than the Senator York. It was a business meeting for the pair and if everything went well it would come out purely profitable for the pair as Jack had it all planned out. As Jacks eyes scanned the waterline and buildings he would watch as a Yacht like ship came in and docked at a bar across the water. The party was bumping and people were dancing and hollering as the music continued across the harbor. Jack smirked a little as he raised his hand to the waiter and she came over with speed fetching him a pale of ice with a cooled Astral whiskey sitting in the middle of it.

Nodding to her once she returned it to him he would take the glass with the two icecubes clinking in it. The liquid was a bright orange as Jack took a mouthful and put the glass down. Tilting his head back and taking a drag of his cigarra as this was a well needed break for him, even if it was a scheduled business meeting. A folder was sat on his table with documents in it in regards to the proposition. Jack would bring his wrist up to check his Holowatch as the digial time projected up in the air. "Not much longer." he said to himself as his pale blue eyes continued to watch the night life along the harbor and the warm wind hit his face gently.

One of the things that Soygun York loved proved to be speeders. Fast ones. Flashy ones. A lot of the high society crowd loved lavish rides with all the frills, space and luxury immenities, but Soygun had a mind for pure, unadulterated speed. He rented an SU-40 airspeeder and drove far too fast for conditions. He wove between traffic and made his destination in record time. In the seat next to him was his protocol droid, Travix. Somewhere left in his wake behind him was a team of personal security.

York parked on the roof of the Nova building and told Travix to stay with the speeder until a valet could take it to a parking bay. He was already in the building when the security team bailed out of their speeder, and they had to sprint to keep up. York dressed for business, but also business in a bar. He wore designer dress slip shoes, but went sockless. His blue pants showed the right amount of ankle and they fit perfectly as they were tailored for him. He wore a white designer t-shirt under his tan sports coat. A loose gold bracelet and a golden chain necklace provided a bit of glitz, but not so much that it would scream that he took himself too seriously.

Once York made his way into the bar, he inquired where he might find Mr. Seypka. They exchanged business cards watching the huttball game, and found that they might be able to do each other some good in their business dealings. York was newly interested in casinos, bars, and clubs, and the like. Kattada was a resort planet whose GDP heavily relied on tourism. It was mostly beach resorts, and that was the extent of it. It attracted an extremely rich, but older clientele. Soygon was interested in the possibility of adding a little more nightlife and excitement to the scene. Doing so would attract a younger, more attractive crowd...which in turn would attract some of the wealthier older men across the galaxy. The perfect marks for high-stakes casinos.

He was pointed in the right direction and strode up to Jack with a hand extended to shake. "Mr. Seypka, it's a pleasure. Thank you for inviting me."

A waitress came by and asked for his order. York looked at the drink that Jack was nursing and said, "Whiskey?" He looked back at the waitress and said, "I'll have what he's having."

Jack Seypka would continue enoying his cigarra and whiskey before being approached. Hearing the footsteps he would turn his head to see Senator York coming in his direction. He was well dressed and seemed to have a bit of a skip to his step. must be in a good mood. Jack stood up once he was close to his table as he extended his hat to meet his in a firm shake as he let go and offered him a seat next to him as he sat back down and crossed his legs.

"Likewise, Thank you for coming." with that he would wait for York to order the same drink he had as Jack took a long drag of his cigarra as he exhaled and tapped the ashes off his cigarra into a glass tray on the table as he began with the business. Not wasting anytime with unneeded banter. "Well, Mr York." he would take another long drag as he exhaled and continued to speak. "I plan to open up Casinos with bars around the outter rim, With that being said, I am open to the inner rim as well. The basement of these establishments will service as exotic clubs. All legal, all licensed. I already have a security contract in place and ready to send Droids in to these establishments, non stop. Day and night."

Taking a pause for Senator York to take it all in as he took a mouthful of whiskey and set it back down to continue. Grabbing the report that was in a brown file he would slide it over to Senator as he pointed at it and continued. "We will split the ownership 50/50. A small time Casino averages 630,000 a day, Times that by 12 months - 229.950,000 a year.. Loose another 20-30 million in salaries, unexpected stuff, bills, etc..We are still profitting 190,000,000 to 200,000,000 a year...Thats a small time casino." he would tap his ashes again in the glass tray before smirking.

"I don't plan on being small. If our casino's expand and get the cliental.. That 630,000 a day turns to..2,906,285 a day..You do the math." The profits alone would be insane. Jack let him read over the report as his pale blue eyes would focus on him and not flinch. Taking sips of his whiskey as he waited to see what York had to say. Jack already had this pendulum swinging and had everything in motion. The money to made was exponential and it was only up to York to be apart of it.

York pulled out a small metal box from his jacket pocket and opened the lid. There were three pricey cigars inside. He pulled one out and placed it between his teeth as he listened to Jack start popping out numbers. They were impressive numbers, no doubt. The Kattadan closed the lid, nodding from the time and and lighting his cigar. He drew in a large puff of smoke and exhaled it in a perfect smoke ring above his head. He paused for a moment after Jack gave his initial pitch.

"First, please call me Soygun. If we aim to be business partners, we'll probably want to get along well enough to be on a first name basis, yes, Mr. Seypka?" The irony of calling him Mr. Seypka after such a line was quite purposeful. Soygun wasn't on a first-name basis with anyone until he was told he was. "Those are very large numbers. Very impressive numbers."

Soygun sat for a minute mulling it all over, rapping his fingers on the table. Seemed Jack was very much a "get down to business" type, and York appreciated that more than most. Still, he didn't know this guy other than through some reputation and what little they been in each other's presence before. "Very large numbers, Mr. Seypka. Very large, and very impressive. I'm sure that in order to enjoy those large and impressive numbers myself, you'll be waning a large and impressive number from me up front." York would grin, looking up a bit from his cigar at that. "But before we get into numbers, I'm curious. Why me? I'm not exactly an old hand at the casino business. If you don't mind me asking, why are you approaching me?"

Jack Seypka would stare at him with his pale blue eyes. They never trained off him as he listened intently with a serious gaze and having his cigarra hang from the corner of his mouth on his lips as the waiter served them both refreshers for their drinks. "First names?" Jack wasn't use to this. The business and MorataCorp executive was use to last names and nothing more but for once the business tycoon would need to change his ways and be more personal and less machine in these kind of things. "Very well then Soygun, Call me Jack."

Taking a long drag of his cigarra as he exhaled it through his nose and continued to listen to him. Jacks eyes remained the same with his usual facial expression as he took a sip of his bright orange whiskey and set the glass down as Soygun mentioned the large sum of cash and what Jack wanted from him. To be respectful Jack would hear the rest out. This project was going to happen one way or another and Jack did majority of the work to get it moving. Though to be partnered would be quicker and easier for everyone involved.

"
I'm not going to flatter you with compliments and tell you how shaking hands and kissing babies as a Senator on you as a person." he would say flatly but continue with the cigarra in his hands. "You may not be experienced in this side of business but you're a winner. You get after it and stand up for yourself like your public announcement about the core world." He would stare at him with a serious gaze and continuing. "I've dealt with President Thorne and I've heard of how cunning he can be. Regardless he is a good businessman and for you to deal with him gives me the impression you're just the same."

He would tap his cigarras ashes in the glass tray. "A Impression that stands out. There is few people I'd ever deal with on this proposal. I want winners. Unstoppable. Do whatever it takes." He took a long drag of his cigarra before sitting back and exhaled it through his nose. "I heard like many others of the accusations, the Sector Rangers., Etc." he would stare at him. "I Don't believe it or we wouldn't be having this conversation, Our partnership will be 100% legal. But i'm going to have to ask you the same reason as to why you're here with me." He waited for him to reply as he satback and took another sip of his whiskey. Jack respected York a lot and thought of him highly. This position of power and money was for a reason.

Leaning back and taking a relaxed posture for the first time, Soygun held his cigar over the ashtray and tapped it once allowing for some of the ash to collapse. York nodded as his counterpart mentioned Thorne. If Jack here was dealing with Thorne, that was a feather in his cap. Thorne, at least to York, appared to be somewhat picky in who he dealt with. In fact, mentioning his work with Thorne gave York a little pause about just how "legitimate" this Jack Seypka was. Afterall, The ISC President was working closely with Soygun now, and York knew damn well that he wasn't a choir boy. He figured the ISC President had done enough homework to know that too.

"President Thorne is cunning, yes. I grant you that," York said. "But he's more than that. He's a man of ambition, of vision, and action. He either knew I was innocent, or was impressed that I cleared my name if I wasn't...I'm satisfied you've already come to your conclusion on the matter. But those characteristics- ambition, vision, action...I see those in you. And I only partner with people who play to win." York grinned as he looked at Jack and took a long drag drag of his cigar and blew the smoke out of the side of his mouth. "You ask me why I decided to meet with you. Casinos."

York leaned forward and put the cigar in the ashtray still burning. "Casinos are the logical next step for me in Kattada. Our resorts are booming and we're making good money. Real good. But, after they rent their room, buy some meals at our restaurants, maybe pay extra for a day at the spa...that's it. But, if I were to add some casinos to just a handful of those properties, it changes the game completely."

He leaned back again as he picked up his cigar and put it between his teeth. "The casinos drew me to you. But you've sold yourself to me. You want to win. You know the numbers. You know the business. I want to learn the business, and I won't get many opportunities like this. But, I needed to know you too. I'm satisfied on both accounts."

He nodded to the waitress as she put his whiskey down in front of him. He took a sip and then looked to Jack. "So, now I know why you wanted me. Now, I need to know what you want from me. I'm assuming capital?"

Jack Seypka would continue enjoying his cigarra and drink as he sat there listening quietly. It was quite apparent that Soygun was a very smart man and played Chess not checkers. A term Jack often used that he enjoyed rerquently in the business aspect of the galaxy. Taking a long drag of his cigarra as he exhaled it through his nose. Tapping the ashes in the glass tray as he waited until Soygun asked the question of Capital.

Jack would dap his cigarra once more and taking a quick mouthful of whiskey before answering him. "I've fronted majority of the costs already on my own behalf." he would look at him with his pale blue eyes. "This business was happening one way or another. I've put near 25 million into assets and this business to become in motion. I'll need you to give me 23. I'll take two million off for good will and to our future together."

He would slide another folder over to him showing him the expense chart, labor, materials, inspection and coding, etc. Jack would take another mouthful of whiskey as he put the glass back down on the table. "As for anything else, tell me locations you'd like them popping up. And lastly a name for the casinos we agree upon. Our contract will be permanent and only will be broken if both agreed upon or if we sell our share for the matter."

York leaned back taking a casual stance and looked off to the distance in thought. He swirled his whiskey in one hand and held the cigar in his fingers, resting that hand on the table as gave some considerations. Very dangerous business. And a lot of money. York had the funds necessary of course, but a 50/50 split on such an investment with a man he is meeting for only the second time...It isn't completely unprecedented, but rare it would be.

There were other issues that concerned. Not Jack, per se, but Kattada. They loved foreigners spending their money on planet, but they were less inclined to be welcoming to carpetbaggers coming in to start major businesses. And York's Kattadan resorts were what he wanted to capitalize on. He took a drink of his whiskey and nodded as he came to a potential workaround that should make everyone happy.

"I tell you what. I'll pay 23 million credits for 25% of the shares of this casino. You keep 75% ownership." He held out his cigar to point out there was more. "But, in return the 25% that would be going to me goes into an account that starts me a casino in Kattada. We funnel money into that account until I get the...what appears to be about 50 million credits or so.... to get that casino operational. Afterwards, you get full 75% of the profits here and I get 75% of the profits in the casino on Kattada while you take the 25% balance."

York tapped the cigar into the ash tray dropping off a lump of ash before putting the cigar back into his lips. "There are a lot of reasons not go 50/50. People die. People go crazy. People marry crazy spouses that sabotage their companies. If there are casinos that are yours and you own 75% of them and there are casinos that are mine and I own 75% of them, we insulate ourselves if our partners become...let's say....a liability. If we go 50/50 on every casino and one of us screws the pooch, every casino suffers. If we're 75/25 where we each own majority shares in half of the properties and businesses, then neither one of us can tank 100% of our businesses."

York finished off his glass of whiskey and waved the waitress over for a refill. "How does a deal like that sound? I take the risk first?"

And indeed he would. He was banking on having full operational controls of the casinos on Kattada. If he could pull that off, he would be swimming in credits like it was the turquoise blue water of the Kattadan oceans.

Jack Seypka would continue smoking his cigarra as he listened intently with a unphased look. His eyes flickering a little as it looked like he was drawing out what York was saying on a chalkboard and doing the math on it. It was logical. York wanted the casinos on Kattada and he could have them for what Jack wanted. "That's fine, you set up as many casinos as you see fit in Kattada in your name. I Will take Zeltros here. Though I do plan on having many more. There is one I currently have going up in Coruscant. This shouldn't be an issue." he looked at him with his pale blue eyes.

Taking another mouthful of his drink as he emptied the glass with one mouthful and set it back down on the table. Swallowing and looking out at the parties across from them he would turn to look back at Senator York. "I'll send you the paperwork and have my people do the contract up ASAP. We have a deal." It made sense and both had certain locations they desired to set up shop first. It was fine by Jack and eventually he would have casinos spread out all throughout the galaxy.

Jack would stand up as he offered Soygun his hand. A handshake was oldschool but Jack was a man of his word and a handshake was a lot to him. If accepted by Soygun he would let go after the firm shake and pick up his folders. "Time to get things moving, it's been a pleasure Soygun. Enjoy your stay here on Zeltros. " he would turn to walk away as he made it a few feet before turning his head back to him. "oh and also give me the number for your tailor. Damn good work." he said flatly with his usual blankless expression. Nodding to him he would turn back around and continue walking as he would make his way to the front and get inside a all blacked vehicle with the AMS droids standing around it.

York would stand to match Jack and took his hand to give it a firm handshake. Not a handshake meant to intimidate or to impress his masculine prowess. It was a handshake that spoke not to worry about his end. York was a man of a business, and a businesslike handshake oftentimes said more than words.

York would laugh lightly at the comment about the tailor. "I'll send you his contact information. Maybe I'll get a discount on my next jacket for a finder's fee." York stamped out his cigar and put it back in his cigar case. There was still much there that could be used. He finished off his drink and said, "This is a good deal for both of us. With a quarter interest in your casinos and you having a quarter in mine, it will always be in our best interest to look after the other's best interest."

He turned, prepared to leave, but stopped. He looked at Jack and said, "At some point, we'll probably want to discuss who our friends are." He tilted his head to give Jack time to cipher the meaning. "I'm not a naive man, Jack. It's hard to be in the gaming business without at least making acquaintances with organized crime. I know you're not a naive man, and you know that it's the same in politics. We may want to put all our cards out on the table soon in case our friends decide they don't like each other very much."

Jack Seypka would continue walking until he heard Soygun call out again. Stopping he would turn while taking a cigarra and plopping it in his mouth as he lit it and took a long drag as he listened quietly. Jack got out of the 5S crime family but that never meant he was doing illegal things. Not to mention him blowing the brains out of someone who tried undermining him only a few days ago in regards to his casino on coruscant. Jack would nod to him in regards to this as he looked at him with his pale blue eyes.

"Very well. Take care Soygun."

He would tap his ashes onto the ground and stepping inside the blacked out vehicle. The droids would begin to collapse as the engine started and he took off into the sky and eventually mingling into the crowds of ships overhead and out of sight. The contract was agreed and it was time to start hauling everything in and raking up the credits.

York would watch Jack walk away and get into his vehicle. It was a lively place, so York decided to take a seat back down and enjoy the refill on his whiskey. He motioned his personal security team to join him now that the meeting that was over. They all took a seat at the table and Soygun ordered them all around of their favorite drink.

"I take it your meeting went well, Governor York?" one of the men on his security detail asked.

York nodded as he crossed one leg over the other and as he slouched slightly into his chair to relax. "Well enough." The Kattadan was continuing to look off in the distance, clearly thinking about the meeting and the results thereof.

"Something bother you, Governor?" It was the same man, the lead on his security detail.

"This Jack Seypka...he's not a man of few words. He's very guarded, which I understand." He took a drink and swirled what remained in his glass. He looked at the man who was asking the questions. "Still, it's good business to know your associates. See what you can find out, but be coy about it. We don't need every piece of the puzzle to see the whole picture."

The man nodded and drank his whiskey. York said into his commlink, "Travix, stay with the speeder. We may be a while. There's fun to be had here."

"Of course, Governor York," Travix said back over the commlink. "Please be mindful of your position. Photographs of you in compromising situations wouldn't play well on the holos."

York smiled and the security detail laughed. "Don't worry, Travix. What happens in Zeltros, stays in Zeltros."
