Ask By Order of the ISC

[Jack Seypka]

Spoiler: Jacks Attire.

Jack Seypka would be in the lobby at President Emrycs office location in Thyferra. His pale blue eyes would scanning along the beautiful white walls and tall glass windows that let in all the natural light and pristine views of the jungle backdrop that the building was surrounded in. It put Jacks huge office in Coruscant to shame as nothing could match the view that was in front of him. Though he wasn't here for beauty unfortunately but as usual was here to talk business. He had sent a message out to the President of the ISC Corporation in regards of a security contract between the two. MorataCorp was already in dealings with the ISC which put them on good standing as of yet.

Jack wore a custom black 3 piece suit with cufflinks of MC on the ends of his dress shirt by the wrists. A hologram pocket watch tucked in the side of his vest as his pants also were pressed and black with black shiny shoes. As Jack patiently looked around by the lobby the front desk receptionist would approach him. "The President will be with you shortly Mr. Seypka, May I get you a water or coffee?" Jack would turn hearing the voice before politely shaking his head with his usual relaxing tone. "No, Thank you though." with that the receptionist would nod and move back over to her desk continuing her work as the keyboard was clacking quietly.

Jack respected the President though he never met him, he knew Emrycs schedule had to be vastly busy so for him to take the time to meet him was another great pleasure that Jack was thankful for. ISC help funded MorataCorp in investing in them for a vaccination and to help combat AMS which was making strong headway as Jack was planning another beneficial contract for the ISC and MC that would gain profit and security all around the board. For now, Jack would wait patiently until being called up to the Presidents office.

[Emryc Thorne]

Emryc had been swarmed ever since he returned to the scene. The woman he had assigned in his place caught him up on everything ISC. While everything ran smoothly, there was no denying that a lot of things fell behind. They had made little progress in expanding their influence, and it was more or less just as he had left it. He would have to do some sort of address to explain his absence and a game plan going forward, but it was catch up for now.

MorataCorp had turned out to be an excellent investment. Dr. Morata came through on her end of the deal and her team had already developed early stages of the vaccine. There were ethical concerns with testing, but it was the furthest anyone had gotten in curbing the disease. Best of all, it had the ISC stamp on it. FWA and the Republic had squandered the opportunity to take the credit for investing in the company.

Emryc was more than happy to make time for the MC Chief of Research. With that title, he was at the helm of all the groundbreaking progress the company was making.

He was already waiting for Jack by the time he entered. Unlike usual, the President was adorned simply in a blazer, a nice button up and some trousers with boots. He wasn’t in the mood for his usual three piece suits lately, though he knew he’d be back in them soon. An expensive chrono glinted at his wrist.

He stood up from his desk, cutting an imposing figure with his height as usual. Silver gaze began to study and analyze right away, taking in sight of the piercing blue eyes.

“Mr. Seypka,” He strode over to shake his hand, “Thank you for coming out this way,” He gestured for the man to take a seat as he walked back towards his desk. The half Sephi got out and offered him an unopened bottle of chilled water along with a glass if he pleased.

Emryc took a seat across from the other man, “How may I help you today?”

Jack Seypka would continue his gaze out the window before hearing his name and turning to see none other than the president of the ISC himself. Jack would meet Emrycs hand with his own in a firm shake as he politely replied to him. "Likewise," he would nod as he made his way back over with the President of the ISC and took a seat with a polite nod as a thank you. Making himself comfortable he would politely raise his hand at the chilled water. "Thank you, I should be fine." his pale blue eyes settling on Emryc.

Crossing his legs over one another he would get comfortable before getting down to business. "Well, I sent out a message in regards to setting up a security contract between the ISC and MorataCorp." He would continue as he keep it open and honest. Jack had no intention in playing games or beating around the bush. He respected Emryc and the time given as he cotninued. "MorataCorp is making mighty ground in our Research department in regards to our vaccination, in making this headway we've also took eye on our own security."

With this he would give a few moments for Emryc to process it so far before continuing. "Our security is lacking and there is a slight concern in with the 5S being a minor issue as we tend to pick up on the slightest of things. We are looking for a strong minded, professional and EFFICIENT Company to be the leading security firm in protecting not only MorataCorps board but it's assets aswell." It didn't take rocket science to realize a hit on MorataCorps research and development would be a hit for the ISC who funded them.

"With this we would take of great interest with the ISC to have this contract as we have nothing but good history with you as well as mutual understandings and have dealt with one another that makes it both profitable for us both." His blue eyes focusing on Emrycs and not shifting his gaze as he spoke to him without a hesitation or stutter.

[Emryc Thorne]

Emryc was silent as he considered the man’s words. Unlike most, he always kept a blank and neutral face so it was always impossible to tell how he perceived a situation. The silver eyes were piercing and tended to shine like spotlights on whoever addressed him, making them feel as if they were standing naked on stage. There was silence that existed even after Seypka was done speaking, and this was par for the course from the President.

“I was under the impression that MorataCorp had its own security division,” The baritone voice rumbled after a while. He, of course, was not entirely aware of the debacle with their head of security and how that got them into a mess with the Syndicates. Emryc thought over the proposal for a moment, eyes never leaving Seypka’s.

“ISC’s investment was to stand up a facility to support the creation of a new vaccine. I had suggested Thyferra as it can leverage existing supply chain functions already used today to deliver bacta to the rest of the galaxy. To that end, any contract I set up with you should only go as far as protecting the assets here,” Emryc paused for a moment there, eyes analyzing the other man.

“In reality, the need for security extends far beyond that. It extends to the various ad hoc clinics MorataCorp will be setting up to deliver the vaccine across the galaxy. The best support for that would be the AMS security droids we offer,” Emryc brought up a cigarra and lit it before placing it between his lips. He offered Seypka one if he wanted, offering to light it for him. The balcony behind him was open, allowing a breeze to come in to ensure the office was still airy.

“To that end, I would suggest you sweeten the deal and offer me significantly discounted shares of the company,” Emryc said at last, “ISC is prepared to offer a partnership within the terms of the stimulus agreement, which extends only to the operations on Thyferra. For the inevitable protection you need beyond that, you will be dealing directly with me.”

Emryc tilted his head to the side and blew out a cloud of smoke, always respectfully away from anyone he was addressing.

Jack Seypka would sit there listening quietly. His pale blue eyes matching Emrycs as Jack wasn't a man who ran off emotion much like his counter part across from him. He had a extremely good poker face but even mentally wasn't phased by much. Nodding politely to the offer of the cigarra as he would take a drag after Emryc lit the cigarra for him. Inhaling the tobacco and exhaling it through his nose as he kept listening to Emrycs proposal and offer. It wasn't that bad considering the gravity of the situation.

Waiting for him to finish, Jack would tap his cigarras ashes into the small tray between the pair. His voice was relaxed as he nodded. "Yes, MorataCorp does have its own security but we are wanting to beef up our facility locations and other assets across the galaxy." he would say flatly and honestly. Bringing the cigarra back up to his mouth as he continued. "Yes, A small contract to protect the vaccination facility here on Thyferra is well within reason. Just to make sure we are covered on the research front."

With that they both came to an agreement. Taking a long drag of the cigarra again as he exhaled the fine smoke. "MorataCorp is willing to add another 2million in regards to the protection here on Thyferra. The vaccination is nearly done which is a quick and easy profit for the ISC." Which was true considering they made great headway already without any security troubles and the light at the end of the tunnel was near.

Tapping his ashes again in the tray, Jack's blue eyes would continue to focus on Emrycs as he continued with the other half. "MorataCorp's operations and facilities along with its board members outside of Thyferra will be long term. We are willing to give you a 20% share in our company. This proposal comes with the terms of Having the AMS Security Droids at any operated/owned MorataCorp locations and assets and lastly, the contract being long term only to be broken if a deal is made with you and our CEO Dr Morata. Considering we are offering you shares in the worth of our company."

With this he would finish his cigarra before planting it into the tray. Smushing the butt of it into a crumple as he sat back with his legs crossed. This was a huge deal for both parties considering MorataCorps rise across the galaxy and profit being brought in. Jack would add politely before Emryc had a chance to respond. "I have utter faith these AMS Droids are worth the investment." he would nod politely to him.

[Emryc Thorne]

Emryc listened to the deal offered by Seypka, impressed by the fact that it was even better than what he had been hoping for. In the end, he knew it was necessary for MorataCorp to allow shareholders in for it to truly skyrocket in the galaxy. It would only be a matter of time before rival companies attempted to monopolize the market and MC only had this little sliver of time to get ahead.

Smoke plumed from the half Sephi’s nostrils as he considered the deal. Though his gaze remained on Seypka, his eyes looked right through him and beyond. His thoughts were elsewhere as he thought about the logistics of ramping up droid support for MC’s offworld operations. The droids themselves were expensive and Blackwell would want a cut.

“Very well,” He said after a while, deciding that a 20% stake was worth it, “You have yourself a deal.”

Emryc provided a half grin, “They brought Bothawui back from near collapse,” He said simply at the mention of the droids. The half Sephi rose from his seat and walked over to open a cabinet.

“Care for a glass of whiskey to celebrate our continued business ventures?”

Jack Seypka would listen quietly as Emryc chewed on the offer a for a bit. Jacks eyes never left his as his pale blue eyes waited patiently and calm. Jack would quietly take a long drag on his cigarra and exhale the smoke through his nose as his legs crossed over one another in his seat. Leaning forward he would tap the ashes in the glass tray as finally the President gave him an answer.

It was a done-deal by the sounds of it as the President accepted the terms of the agreement. Jacks expression remained the same as he nodded to him in confirmation and stuck his hand out to meet the Presidents if Emryc accepted the shake and give him a firm solid handshake. Jack would take another long drag of his cigarra as he finished it and snubbed it out in the tray before exhaling through his nose again.

Emryc made a valid point in regards to the droids as Jack stood up politely and nodded to his remark. "Fair." he would reply to it as he shook his head. "Unfortunately I'm on a tight schedule. This vaccine needs to be overlooked at all times." he would begin to trail off on the work he needed to catch up in his head as his eyes flickered a bit as if he was reading papers upon papers of work on his desk.

"Thank you for your time, I'll have Dr. Morata contact you for the paperwork and have it sent as soon as possible." With this he would respectfully bow and wait for Emrycs good bye as he would then move out to the main area where the lobby was and off to his ship as a guard of his opened the door to it and let him in.

Letting the ramp close he would take a seat as the engines started up and began to shoot off into the sky and orbit short after. Sending out his datapad he would make a message to Dr. Morata on his buisness email as it added. "We now have a permanent contract with President Thorne for security droids in MorataCorp and a contract with security on Thyferras lab until vaccine is done. Congratulations." with that he would press send.

Jack's face was calm and neutral as he looked out the window of his ship and began to think of whats happening next. "Schedule?" he would say quietly as a man next to him would check a holoscreen and report to him. "A meeting with the builders of your upcoming casino sir." with that Jack would nod and dismiss him as he stared out into space at the stars and just be in his own world of thought.
