DESCRIPTION
Installed into a cybernetic armature as an illegal aftermarket addon, the CA-55 is a form of droid shock arm, in which an electronic shock device is added into the palm of the hand. Controlled by the wearer of the cybernetic, and activated through a simple neurological command, the weapon can be used to stun, or severely harm, the target. It is important to note that any synthetic skin that covers the device, will burn away once the device is used, and will require replacing.Upon establishing said contact, the arm can route up to 50,000 volts of electricity from its internal power cell into the target at a time, which is meant to disrupt voluntary control of the muscles and induce neuromuscular incapacitation. The result of such an attack is extreme localized pain or powerful (involuntary) muscle contractions. While this usually is not ever fatal, the pain generated from such a device is intense. Inspiration for the device stemmed from the Tarkin Initiative's ventures into droid weaponry, specifically the Triple Zero personality matrix, which had stronger electrical weapons equipped to its own hands.
This modification requires a power source, which is located within the arm itself. Able to 'fire' 6 shots, the power source must then be recharged (taking 24 hours).
