can someone direct my on how to join a faction? I love star wars and this looks rather fun, but at the same time, confusing

Hey! I'd suggest you check the stickies posted around as they contain vast amounts of useful information.

To join a faction, you need to apply for it in the relevant area depending on the faction. However, I'd recommend against applying for one now, as the timeline will be resetting later this month.

To add to what Outlander has already said, the site's timeline and story will be resetting soon - February 21st to be exact - so there's only about a week left in our current timeline. Once the timeline changes, all of the current factions/stories/characters (everything pertaining to this timeline really) will be archived and we'll begin anew with a fresh story and new factions.

You can read more about the timeline change here to get a feel for what this will all entail.

yes,but in the mean time you should make a character, and you have plenty of time to put some though into it too. Its a pro and a con

So far as getting into any RPs/stories, yes. It would be a moot point.

You can, however, begin working on character concepts for the new timeline in the DotR Planning Workshop. Or you can just wait on everything until the switch. It's up to you.

so i think I got a rough draft for my character, so 2 questions. 1. where can I post said draft and eventual character profile? and 2. how do I get the fancy style format, like the boxes and whatnot around my paragraphs?

For now you can post your character here. Its the workshop for the new Timeline. The new timeline goes live in two days and there will be a character sub board to post it in then. How to format can be found here.

and also I noticed a lot of mission sign ups for the last timeline, but I couldnt find any real mission rp forums, in fact, in the story rp, i didnt see a lot of rping at all. can someone explain?
