BIOGRAPHY

Carrick was born on Lothal to a family originally from Naboo, who told him from an early age that he was only living on Lothal because the family wanted to get in touch with their ancestral roots. He never got a chance to delve into this line of thinking as his mother and father were killed during a riot in the main city of Lothal. As a distraught five year old, Carrick raged with the Force and was found to be causing a disturbance by a passing Jedi. Though the days of the Jedi acquiring children were long gone, the Jedi in question didn't feel right leaving Carrick when it was confirmed he had been orphaned.

Taken to the Jedi Temple and trained in the ways of the Force, Carrick pushed the majority of his focus into the study of the Force itself. He did well enough in lightsaber training to confirm a taste for style two over the others and had a lightsaber who's crystal he uncovered during his padawan years on an emotional trip to Lothal. During his late teenage years he studied to become an ambassador for the Jedi Order and was sent to Naboo to receive lessons in etiquette to better fit in with those he was attempting to persuade to aid the Jedi Order.

It was during one of these trips that Carrick found and connected to his uncle, the sole survivor of his family aside from himself. His uncle helped to instruct him in diplomacy and in using a broader weapon in combat as well. Although he was able to confirm his family still existed, he was urged to abandon his uncle and his family name to try and keep him from forming an attachment that could lead to obsession. His uncle accepted this and Carrick left Naboo to spend time with diplomats and politicians instead.

He hated it all.

Leaving the capital and the other Core Worlds behind, Carrick decided that he could not be a Jedi Knight any longer. He sent his resignation to the Order via holocall before leaving his Order mandated ship behind him and moving to make his way in the Galaxy as a man and not a Jedi.

Personality

Carrick is a rather proud young man with a flair for language and a penchant for being rather slick and underhanded when he feels the time is right. While he is a fairly morally upright person, he has a mentality closer to 'the ends justify the means' than his former Jedi Masters would have appreciated, even though he used it to their benefit for some time. He is very much an extrovert, finding excuses to tag along with people and keep conversations going, often ending in him being very eager to jump into an adventure as well.

When alone or left to think, Carrick can be found brooding. It is a habit he is aware of and has been constantly been trying to break since his moody teenage years along with a rather nasty streak when it comes to getting retribution. He does not believe in retribution being equal to the action and often goes too far to make sure people don't ever want to try and embarrass or upset him again.

Skills

Skilled diplomat, politician and all around charmer when given the chance to speak and spend time with people. This is a skill acquired over many years and something he does boost with subtle manipulations using the Force both as a suggestive tool but also to change moods to fit his plans as well. In combat he leans heavily on the Force for offense and for distraction, confident in his illusion skills and his abilities with more outright defensive measures.

When in melee combat, Carrick focuses on Form Two to try and keep his opponents at a distance, with his lightsaber. When equipped with his vibrosword however, he much prefers to use more longsword focused fighting techniques.

In the air he is a competent pilot at best.
