B I O G R A P H Y

Growing up in the slums of Corellia, it wasn’t until he was aged six that Casper was found by a Jedi and taken to Ajan Kloss. The separation from his family was a particularly painful one that would go on to deeply shape the person Casper would become and while his parents, too, were pained to see their youngest child taken from them, they believed it to be the best route out of the desperate poverty for their son.

His training began on Ajan Kloss without a master, covering the fundamentals of the new Jedi Order. He was a talented student, with a particular enjoyment in subjects such as zoology, botany, and agriculture. His time on Ajan Kloss was, however, something of a solitary one. Casper remained reluctant to form much in the way of bonds or friendships with his fellow students at the academy. This perhaps inspired his love for the natural world and the creatures that inhabit it, as well as more withdrawn pursuits, such as reading.

When he was 14, his time on Ajan Kloss came to an end and Casper transitioned to the role of Padawan. His master, a worldly Togrutan, teased out talents that Casper didn’t know existed within him as they travelled the Core Worlds together. Their bond strengthened, and replicated the familial relationship that had been so-suddenly ripped out of his life all those years before.

As the force would have it, this relationship was similarly doomed not to last. Both he and his master were present on Ajan Kloss during the sith slaughter, and Casper found himself able to escape only through the sacrifice of his master who – after Casper had fallen behind – bought time for her student to escape.

Now on Yavin, Casper faces an uncertain future as he struggles to keep his studies on-track.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Determined | Solitary | Haunted​

Casper is a strong-willed, studious Padawan with a great interest in subjects such as history, zoology and botany. He spends much of his free time alone, reading where he can, and often makes a point of finding secluded spots in which to read and meditate. He finds this time spent alone to be relaxing, and a pleasant escape that provides some relief from dark thoughts that otherwise occupy his mind.

He is not especially sociable, and struggles to form friendships and bonds with others. This is not just a consequence of past traumas, but is also the result of an inherent shy-ness within Casper that he has yet to overcome. His tendency to be solitary and make little in the way of conversation frequently comes off as being aloof or haughty, and his reputation with other students of the Jedi Order is less than stellar. For those few who do manage to form friendships with Casper, however, he is an incredibly devoted and loyal friend with a reassuring warmth and natural humour that lingers below his guarded exterior.

His past has been, to describe it mildly, eventful. The loss of two important relationships, for one of which he blames himself, has affected Casper possibly more than even he knows. He has found himself with a short temper and generally grouchy mood – likely a consequence of the little sleep he manages to get, often instead kept awake by nightmares and dark dreams.

A P P E A R A N C E

Casper has a lean, athletic frame that highlights his active lifestyle and rigorous physical training regimen expected of a Jedi. His face has well-defined, sharp features with a prominent jawline. Freckles lightly dot the bridge of his nose and the space underneath his eyes, with his olive-skin otherwise unblemished. His golden-blonde hair is often roughly tied into a ponytail that rests over a shoulder, with rogue strands of untied hair falling across his cheeks.

He will often be spotted in minimalist, practical clothing that best suits his environment – though he does have an obvious preference for darker colours of blacks, greys and greens. When around Yavin, he is usually in some form of comfortable active-wear.

P O W E R S_ A N D_ A B I L I T I E S

Studious
Casper is well-read, and flourishes academically. He loves to read, and has spent much of his free-time recently on Yavin doing so. His knowledge of various histories, ecologies and the more theoretical aspects of Jedi training is impressive. That said, his reading is not confined to academic works and he takes great enjoyment in reading works of fiction.

Athletic
A result of his Echani heritage, Casper holds a natural athleticism that lends itself to physical training, which he very much enjoys. Similar to reading, physical training (and sparring) provides an escape from his thoughts, allowing him to focus on the present situation before him. He can frequently be found training the gym facilities of Yavin, as well as sparring with training droids.

Aspiring Duellist
Teased out of him by his previous master, Casper is a budding duellist with a particular focus on Jar'Kai in which he utilises two lightsabers (one being a lightsaber shoto). Even if he doesn't see it himself, there is great potential within Casper to become a formidable duellist, under the right tuition.

Pilot-in-Training
More recently, in the months leading up to Ajan Kloss, Casper began more free-form piloting training. He’s something of a novice at the moment, though he hopes to become an accomplished pilot in his own right.
