Vahliri allowed her gaze to linger between Sol and Aadya - offering each of them an ever-present smile as they conversed and she waited for the Firrerreo’s answer. Any signs of the hostility that had once existed between herself and Aadya didn’t manifest in the slightest. In truth, the half-Annfyn had done some growing up of her own in recent months, and their shared fight at that prison had dispelled any lingering bitterness between them. It wasn’t until Wodan approached the circle that Vahliri finally tore her gaze away from the pair - offering the Firrerreo Acolyte a faint smile.

While she didn’t know him too well, she immediately recognized him from that mission to the Imperial Research station - the mere thought of that place nearly sending a shiver up her spine. Her smile grew just a touch wider when the Firrerreo brought her hands to his lips. “Wodan,” She began, “You look rather dashing.” She gestured to his attire. Militaristic or not, the uniform looked rather nice on him. As introductions followed, Vahliri glanced past the three of them. Her amber gaze wandered for a moment - drifting towards where Altair was standing with Tiamat and Vex, and then across the room and towards Asher and.. Someone she didn’t quite recognize.

“If you’ll all excuse me for a moment,” She said before slipping past the trio.

After a few minutes of weaving through the guests and averting her eyes from Maelibus’ general direction, Vahliri walked up to where Asher and Caerllion were standing - offering them both a small wave of her hand. “Hey Asher!” She said with a smile. “Couldn’t go without coming to say hello. It’s good to see you again!” And certainly under better circumstances than that ordeal on Bal’demnic. “The suit fits you,” She jutted her chin towards his attire, her lips tugging just a bit wider. The half-Annfyn’s amber gaze promptly turned to Caerllion, greeting the Annfyn with a nod of her head in greeting. “Vahliri,”

She didn’t miss the Annfyn’s request for a dance just as she arrived, though, and proceeded to step off to the side afterwards - allowing Caerllion to drag the half-Sephi off for a dance if he so chose. Vahliri promptly continued on her way towards the bar after her drive-by greeting. Every now and again, her gaze flicked up to Altair - offering the Tiefling an almost sheepish and warm smile from a distance as she ordered another drink, deciding to watch the party for the time being.

Vex described the encounter on Rakata Prime and it only reinforced Tiamat's mental list of places she would not visit. Though imagining crushing someone brought a creative image to the woman's mind as she had seen her fair share of juicy but not yet at the fate of her own palm. She quickly moved onto the tiefling's rescue from New Alderaan; she knew of others who were participating, but they seemed to have been occupied by the Jedi and Rebel resistance elsewhere in the prison.

She took a sip of champagne just as Vex had asked her how the process went. "Without you and the others drawing the attention to the other side of the base, I think it would have been more difficult. I was able to rewire and add some music for the mood..." she glanced at Altair as he elaborated on how he thought he was a mess and Tia nodded in agreement. It seemed to be protocol to drug up force sensitive prisoners. She remembered her own experience being in the Republic prison before Emryc had come to retrieve her.

He showed off his horns and Tiamat shook her head, not recalling him talking about his experience. The face they attempted to do that boiled under her skin, but with a deep breath, she would let it pass for now. Tiamat could see he was also uncomfortable, standing a bit more rigid as he filled himself on his drink before calling over the new New Alderaan leader.

"Hello Governor Alkaios, I am Tiamat. I look forward to introducing your system to the technical advances that will lead to further prosperity." she said, giving him a small grin to reflect her enthusiasm and eagerness.

I do, Aadya replied, though Vahl's question was probably more rhetorical than not. Still, it was nice that the two could converse like normal people and not be at each other's throats for, well, really no genuine reason at all. And yes, I'd like that. Pulling out her phone, Aadya set a reminder a couple days from now that simply said bug Vahl about going shopping.

Before she could say much more, Sol had arrived and.. spoke to her with telepathy?! Eyes widening in amused surprise, Aadya nearly dropped her glass before she went right up to Sol and embraced him with the tightest hug she could muster.

When did you learn that? She asked, pulling out of the hug and looking him in the eye, a beaming smile spread across her face. I'm so proud of you, Soleil. Normally, Aadya never used Sol's entire name when speaking to him, but she wanted him to know just how proud she was. Kind of like the opposite of when a parent drops the full first name middle name combo when a kid is really in trouble.

When they were joined by someone she'd never met, Aadya eyed them with suspicion for a moment. Her expression loosened when Wodan greeted Vahl, at least it seemed like she knew the guy. Better than a complete stranger crashing their circle, that was for sure.

Aadya, She replied to @Wodan, letting him take her hand as she nodded in greeting to him. Eyeing Wodan again with her gaze no longer obscured with the haze of mild annoyance, Aadya couldn't help but notice that the man was.. rather good looking, and had a few telltale signs of his origin. She couldn't help but let her lips part into a curious smirk, the tips of fanged teeth poking out ever-so-slightly.

Rare to see another Firrerreo, She said, a tinge of solemnity coating her voice. Maybe don't be a stranger in the future, hm? A playful bit of flirting, something Aadya hadn't done much of since her and Altair had split. It felt nice, almost natural. Maybe coming to his party wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Aadya couldn't help but watch Vahl as she departed, unable to keep her eyes from wandering over the girl's figure. Maybe for the first time, Aadya noticed that Vahl looked just as good coming as she did going. Her thoughts wandered to what might be under that dress, but just for a moment.

Turning to Wodan, Aadya flashed him another fang revealing grin before asking,

Want to dance?

Wodan gave the women a warm smile as he took her hand, once again allowing the breath from his lips to glide across the Aadya’s skin. As he straightened and let go of her hand he spotted the curious smirk, a delicate fang appearing as she did so, Wodan raised his eyebrow when she mentioned his home world. As she spoke he studied her voice, behind her words he could hear a small twinge of an accent that brought warmth to the Prince’s heart. “Hopefully we will not be strangers for long.” He replied back with a playful smirk.

“Thank you Vahliri, you as always look beautiful.” Wodan said, before the women departed the quartet, both his and apparently Aadya’s eyes following the Half-Annfyn as she parted their small gathering. His gaze quickly shifted back to the Firrerrian before her own turned to him, there was something mischievous in her smirk, causing his heart rate to rise. “It would be more than an honour, Aadya.” He said, offering out his hand for the women to take before they moved to the dance floor.

Vex gaped. "They tried doing what?!" The thought of Altair without his horns was horrifying. He would still look every bit as handsome, of course. But that the Jedi would be so barbaric as to remove such a critical part of him... The anger flared up inside of her all over again. "I didn't know torture and mutilation were now features of the Jedi Code. But those hypocrites will justify anything in the name of their war with our religion." (@Sreeya)

Just then, she became aware of the Governor's presence nearby. Tiamat addressed him first. Vex merely nodded in his direction. She wasn't sure why, but unless she was trying to bribe one as Nahri, she wasn't all that fond of politicians. Sith were known to be duplicitous, but senators and governors and presidents and the like were the worst of the worst when it came to lying for self-gain. Even her early meeting with the Chancellor of the Republic — back when he was still just a senator running for election — had given her such a vibe.

"So, what are you doing these days?" Vex asked, returning her focus to Tiamat (@GABA). "I've heard stories about you. I confess I'm somewhat of a fan." The server came by with her drink just then, and she took a gracious sip. "Perhaps you should rewire the music in this place," she suggested, glancing up and back at Altair. "I assume there will be dancing later?" she asked, crooking a brow at him.

"If only there were more to tell." He mused, then returned his attention to Altair to compare notes with Caer. "Hmm, so if the horns of the head are huge then like the same goes for the one in his jeans? Suddenly I feel sorry for Vex." Asher smiled, only half joking about the Tiefling's possible prowess. "If he didn't always where the damn mask, or dress like a porn star....or or or."

The half-Sephi mostly liked Maeliubus, but the other Champion was also just to easy a target with such a hideous outfit. Part of him wanted to go and say something. But the Kaleesh had turned himself into the perfect ice breaker. It also took the attention off of Asher and his status as a former Jedi. Which was nice.

Asher then looked to Wodan, as Caer pointed him out. "It looks like you two share a tailor." He commented, more on the gold on black style than anything else. "Little over the top for me. But at least we're not so outnumber now."

The half-Sephi glanced over to meet Caer's gaze, "Well, perhaps one day you can show me. I've seen very little of the galaxy." He said, his features a twist of wonder of sudden realization. "I wasn't waiting for her..."

"Vahl.."
The now slightly red faced half-Sephi blurted. Seeing the half-Annfyn wave and approach. "Finally noticed me?" he commented, as the woman had missed his wow comment before and ignored him for one of the guests who were also pleasantly taken aback by her outfit. "Can't help but see you," He said with a half smile, "very happy it's not inside your ship" a tease about her piloting skills. "Oh, Caer...this is..." Vahl quickly interrupted..."Vahliri."

Then, like a passing rain shower, the half-Annfyn was gone as quickly and she came, headed for the bar. Leave Asher both amused and slightly confused. "So, shell we ?" He answered Caer. I reached out to take his hand. Letting the younger man lead him to the dance floor.

Altair was more than a little surprised, but humbled, at sensing the reactions from his horns' revelation. There was a pulse of rage that simmered both from Vex (@Mockingjay) and Tiamat (@GABA), and in turn his face heated up for no apparent reason. The tiefling awkwardly shifted in place as he sipped from his drink. When Vex mentioned changing the music, Altair flashed her a grin, “Don’t mind if I do,” He said as he tossed his drink back. His tail brushed affectionately against Vex before he stepped away from her and strode across the room towards the stage where a live band was performing ambient music.

The tiefling talked to the band members about a song and turned to face the crowd. He started by unbuttoning a few buttons of his shirt to loosen up a bit, grinning as the music began.

Song

Altair leaned into the mic and began to sing, but it wasn’t long before he began to dance to the music. Of course, in typical Altair fashion it was provocative. He swayed his hips and moved to the rhythm, tail swishing back and forth. He ran his fingers through his hair, smiling seductively at the crowd in between verses.

He traveled across the stage, spinning around and dancing, showing off his very toned booty in the tight jeans before spinning back around. As he danced across the stage, the mic stand skidded across the stage of its own accord next to him. It flicked around and he caught it with his tail before tossing it into his hand all one fluid motion.

When the song moved towards a guitar riff, Altair walked over, grabbed the guitar off the bandmate and played out the solo. It was clear he was extremely comfortable on stage and performing. He was king of his domain, and his body moved perfectly to the rhythm, his voice projecting over the crowd. His hand traveled down his own chiseled body as he sang and swayed, thumb hooking into his studded belt almost teasingly as he moved.

Time to have some fun...

Sith social on New Alderaan, Roman certainly wasn't going to be left out of this one. He arrived fashionably late, dark black limousine cruiser pulling up to the mansion's front gates. Known to wear his intimidating Sith Armor, very few had seen his face outside of the terror inspiring helm; Altair and Celeste being the only two. He wondered if many would even recognize him outside of his customary battle suit. On this evening though, he was clean shaven with a fresh hard part cut and rocking a tuxedo. Colors chosen were midnight blue with shimmering black lapels. Stainless steel watch on his left hand while he carried a gift paper wrapped box in his right.

Exiting from the vehicle, he extended the crook of his right elbow for his date for the evening, renowned Sith Champion Celeste Stythani. @LadyRen . "Think all of your friends will be here tonight?" He asked her gently, guiding her along the external footsteps until they made themselves into the lobby area where other guests were gathered. "I'll be right back beautiful. You want something to drink?" He asked Celeste, waiting for her response before moving towards the bar. Exchanging pleasantries with several others gathered, Roman's eyes settled upon the Tiefling, a small grin coming across his lips as he moved over to where Altair was standing. The two of them had a chance to bond briefly during their excursion into Rhen Var, and their amicable relationship had grown stronger since then. At this time though, it seemed the Tiefling was entertaining not just a few guests but the whole party in general, riveting dance moves playing to what seemed to be an energizing theme song. Roman would wait and observe for several more minutes until Altair was finished with his dance. Only then, did he move towards his friend, placing a firm hand on Altair's back, Roman greeting him with a popular handshake into chest bump. @Sreeya

"What's up brotha?!" He said, handing Altair the gift wrapped box. "That cologne you were asking about, got one for you. One splash will wreck havoc." He noted, chuckling. Leaning closer to the Tiefling, he whispered something that only Altair could hear. "By the way, you got any of those party favorites on you? You know, for the after hours shindig"...

Probably it’s satisfactory, because all the women are coming to him.” Caerllion said, regarding Asher’s comment about Altair. The Champion probably has his way with the females. “Do you know, you seem to be very interested in the endows of our Tiefling friend. I wonder if you didn’t also want to see what he is hiding down here.” the Acolyte said playfully. To be honest, he would not say anything if the half-Sephi wanted to do it. After all, who was he to question the sexuality of another person?

Then, Caerllion saw a woman (@Altaris) approaching them. He recognized her as a half-Annfyn that had recently become a Champion. He fought the natural desire of sneering at her presence. Like most of the nobility of Annwfyn, the Acolyte also had his prejudices regarding the hybrids of his species. The idea of an Annfyn mixing their blood with another species was nearly a taboo, only being surpassed by the Sephi.

However, he recognized that the woman in front of him had a higher position and could destroy him easily. He couldn’t allow his natural disgust for a being like her to put his life at risk. When Asher finished doing the presentations, Caerllion bowed slightly at her. It was exaclty what a noble would do in front of another. His family would go crazy if they saw him doing it to a hybrid. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, miss.” the Acolyte felt relieved that Vahliri went away as fast as she appeared.

I think that you aren’t interested in Altair, after all.” Caerllion smirked when he noticed the look on the half-Sephi’s face. “It’s sad that she seems to prefer him.” he said, mentioning how she was one of the women surrounding the Tiefling. “If it gives you any comfort, I think that you are gorgeous. Even better with these clothes.” he whispered, as if it was a secret between them. As soon as he said it, the Acolyte hold Asher's hand and guided him to where they could dance.

As the Governor would stride towards the others, the tiefing (@Sreeya) would wave him over and thanked him for the party. Arcturus nodded at him, although he didn't change his expression, he did thank him. "Glad you are enjoying the celebration." he said to the esteemed champion with smile before the horned man's attention went elsewhere.

And now another caught his attention. Tiamat (@GABA), she doesn't need an introduction. Anyone in the Imperial system who doesn't know Tiamat is living under a rock. She is definitely well known to Arcturus. A powerful Sith Master and a brilliant mind, she is slated to be with him on a visit to the New Alderaan.

Arcturus would have a bit of a smirk as he would be respond. "Glad you could make it to here Tiamat." he would nod his head. "I hope you are enjoying the celebrations" he said. "I am also looking forward to the technical advances, This planet does need to get this planet on track" The previous impotent, Jedi-loving administrations have held New Alderaan back for so long.... Now, no longer... "But it won't be too long, we are meeting with those engineers soon after all. I trust you are ready to show them what real engineering is" Arcturus would have a slight chuckle, he can make jokes too.

Ailis stood outside the party, soothing her anxiety about the event with a quick cigarette before she joined the festivities. Another conquest, another party. New Alderaan this time. Ailis didn't miss that the original namesake had been destroyed by an earlier incarnation of the Sith, the Galactic Empire. And now this Sith Empire played occupation to their inheritors. She took a deep drag off the last of the cigarette as she briefly wondered what the New Alderaan...ese? thought of this development.

Ailis stubbed out the cig on the heel of her boots as swiftly as she stubbed out the considerations for the people of this world. They certainly hadn't cared when she rotted in the bowels of Coruscant, whatever their pacifistic and philanthropic past might have been. What good their philosophies had done them.

Fashionably late, Ailis strode fashionably into the room. Eschewing a more traditional formal dress, Ailis instead wore a tight-fitting tailored suit. She projected confidence as she walked into the room, the low heels of her knee high boot's clicking slightly on the marbled floor of the Governer's mansion. It was a false confidence, and the first place she headed was to the liquid kind that she lacked, having sworn off her usual brand of chemical confidence.

A glass of blood red wine that nearly matched her nails acquired, Ailis washed the taste of tobac from her mouth as her eyes wandered the crowd in search of interesting persons. It didn't take her long as a few people she had met wandered across her view. A few faces she recognized, Tiamat, Vahliri... Sol. She made a face as she brought the glass of wine up to her lips. And then of course there was Altair who strode onstage to showboat.

The charismatic tiefling oozed confidence as he danced and sang, at one point hooking his thumb at his waistband in a rather familiar fashion. Ailis watched as he sang and danced, letting her wine glass linger at her lips for a moment to hide the smirk there. If Altair caught her watching his scandalizing show Ailis would offer him a grin before casually blowing him a kiss. It wasn't until the song was almost over that Ailis notice Vahliri was standing at the bar near her, likewise watching Altair on stage.

"Vahl, that dress, its gorgeous." She would say to the woman who wore a dress that likely costed more than the entire sum of her parental's earnings during her living years. "If only I could paint clothes on the way you can." She said, hiding her snideness beneath a layer of sincerity before downing the remainder of her wine and signaling the bartender for a refill.

How exciting. The governor himself was hosting a party in his mansion in New Aldera and it hadn't been long until Roman had messaged her via her comlink to be his date for the night. She wasn't very suprised that he had asked her to accompany him since they had been getting along great during their lasts missions, but when he picked her up she was indeed positively excited for the night.

She had chosen nothing too fancy to wear tonight, since it was a celebration and nothing too formal, but she went for a colored dress instead of sticking to her usual black attire. The elegant, red dress she had chosen was new and specifically bought for this cheerful occasion and she couldn't wait to get off limousine cruiser to join the party.

She elegantly left the cruiser and took his arm with a grateful smile."Oh, I'm pretty sure there will be plenty guests" she replied while chuckling softly. Even from outside it was obvious that the mansion was already crowded and the party in full swill and she was sure that she would see many familiar faces.

They made their way into the lobby area and she quickly scanned the partying crowd for Imperial acquaintances right before Roman was asking to fetch her a drink. "That'd be lovely, thanks. You can bring me something fruity" she replied with a charming smile before the Champion was on his way towards Altair on stage.

Celeste moved into the other direction, grabbing herself a flute of champagne while she made her way over to the bar, where she had just spotted Vahliri. She had last seen her on Serenno while she was dancing with Darth Raze and the memory brought a little smirk on Celeste's lips. Confidently approaching the two women (@Vahliri Kahtal, @Ailis Drast)already engaged in conversation, she briefly let her gaze wander over their outfits. "Don't you two look stunning! I love your dress, Vahliri, and that suit fits you perfectly!" she greeted them with a genuine, warm smile.

It had been quite a long time since the last party she had taken a part of, yet the young Kaleesh noticed that not everything had changed. Altair was there singing and acting goofy in an endearing way, Vahl and Sol were around, speaking to each other (Although Anai was pretty sure the woman that was with them tried to burn Vahl that one time, were they friends now?) And, of course, some people were dressed in strange ways and becoming the center of attention without meaning it . Or maybe they did mean it and she didn't get those kinds of social displays yet.

Some things had changed, others had stayed the same, and the same goes when it comes to Anai: The Kaleesh acolyte had gotten used to living as part of a whole galaxy instead of just a planet, she felt comfortable enough to choose her own dresses to wear, and comfortable enough to wear her mask during such gatherings without feeling self conscious about it, hell, she had even danced a couple times in previous parties and apparently she was not that bad at it.

That being said, she didn't feel confident enough to just walk up to someone and talk, at least not without getting a drink anyways, so for now she would go get a drink before approaching anyone or getting to dance.

Once she scored herself something to drink, Vahliri turned back to face the crowd - allowing her gaze to wander the other partygoers and new arrivals. She glanced every once in a while towards Altair and flashed the Tiefling a smile, eyes lingering for a moment before moving off to the others. If he looked in her direction, the half-Annfyn would tip her glass towards Asher as well - inviting the fellow Champion over by the time he was done dancing with Caer. A few moments passed before the half-Annfyn’s attention was drawn back towards the stage at the edge of the room - her smile tugging wide when she noticed Altair climbing the steps.

She knew what he intended, and almost at once her lips tugged up into a ridiculously bright smile. It had been far too long since she’d seen the Tiefling perform, and Vahliri was all too eager to cheer him on. She shifted a bit closer to the stage - eyes tilting up to watch Altair as he began to sing and dance. The half-Annfyn shamelessly brought her hand up to cup her lips, cheering him on as he dominated every inch of that stage. If he ever looked down in her direction, Altair would no doubt catch sight of the swiveling of her ears and the way she looked up at him warmly - keeping her attention up until Ailis walked up and spoke.

Vahliri couldn’t help but blink, glancing over to the Acolyte with wide eyes. She hadn’t seen Ailis in ages - certainly not since what happened on Dromund Kaas. While they weren’t besties by any stretch, the half-Annfyn couldn’t deny that she had been a bit worried when the Acolyte had effectively dropped off the face of the Galaxy after the destruction of the Academy. It didn’t take her more than a moment to snap out of her surprise, however - a smirk gradually working its way onto her lips.

She glanced down to her dress, looking entirely pleased with her attire. “It does take some practice,” She quipped right back before looking to Ailis. “You do look amazing though, Ailis. That suit really does fit you,” A bit of genuineness that bled into her tone, though there was no denying that glint of playfulness that burned in her eyes when she spoke again. “Might just be the nicest looking thing to crawl out of the Undercity yet,” She winked towards the Acolyte. Vahliri took another sip from her drink before shaking her head a bit. “It’s been ages. How’ve you been, Ailis?”

She waited for the Acolyte’s response before looking to Celeste, smiling as the fellow Champion approached. While she briefly met the woman at the other social, they hadn’t gotten to know each other too well. “You’re too kind,” She gestures to the woman’s own dress. “You look absolutely stunning as well.” Vahliri glanced towards the man she walked in with. “And you scored a date. Who’s the lucky dude?”

A few moments passed before Vahliri’s eyes snapped past Celeste, fixing onto a new arrival to the party. Her eyes narrowed to squint for a moment before a smile tugged at her lips once more. “Anai!” She called out, waving her hand and gesturing the Acolyte over. It had been ages since she’d seen the Kaleesh last, but that didn’t prevent Vahliri from being all-too-pleased to see her.

It seemed that it was their fate to forever be a wallflower, but Luwalhati honestly did not mind it too much. They were on their comfort zone, and were content to watch their fellow Sith from their perch beside the tower of glasses filled with champagne they had been admiring earlier. They had thought hard about attending this social, and ended showing up in a simple barong and pants paired up with tasteful shoes.

Amber eyes behind a pair of rounded spectacles watched the most interesting interactions before them. There was a small group of women chatting when suddenly an Annfyn (or half, maybe?) greeted a female Kaleesh (@Altaris, @Versok). The Annfyn's tone suggested friendliness and a somewhat long-time-no-see lilt to it. Maybe the two were friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. It was understandable, Luwalhati thought. So much had happened these past few years, and they considered themself lucky enough that they were still under their late Master's wing during those times.

They shifted their attention to the dancing Tiefling (@Sreeya) on the stage. His movements were both refined and rough, not a contrast but a complement to each other. They noticed another Sith (@Faded) approaching the dancer sometime later, and Luwalhati shifted their attention somewhere else.

New Alderaan's new – Lu tried their best not to giggle – governor was difficult to find in the thick of the crowd. Maybe Governor Alkaios (@The Good Doctor) was too busy entertaining his guests. Lu clasped their hands behind their back, amber eyes shifting to the Annfyn's group every now and again. It was as if Lu could hold a conversation with the governor, really. What were they going to talk about, the weather? And it was as if they could just walk up to the group of Sith a few feet ahead of them and engage in their discussion. Lu was a new face, and they really didn't have the confidence to make themself known.

So a wallflower they would be, until someone plucked them from their spot.

Altair had a great time while he performed, spotting a few girls glancing over at him. They would get a flashy grin in return, his tail eagerly swishing. After he finished, he hopped down from the stage and was about to strut on over to the group of ladies when Roman approached him. The tiefling lit up when he spotted the man, “Ayyy!” He greeted cheerfully, returning the one armed hug and clapping him on the back, “Good to see you man.”

He glanced down at the gift box, his jaw dropping, “No shit? Bro, you didn’t have to,” He said, genuinely ecstatic about the gift right then. Altair used generic body sprays, and this was the first time he was given a classy cologne. He took the gift graciously, glancing up to give Roman a knowing grin, “Always, my man,” He said before looking around them. Within a moment, he reached out to appear as if he were shaking Roman’s hand, but a small baggy was passed over containing herbs to smoke.

“Come on, I’m way too sober at this fuckin’ party,” He said as he threw an arm around Roman and led him over to the end of the bar a respectable distance away from where the ladies were gossiping. He ordered a line of shots for both him and Roman. He glanced at Roman with a grin, “Bottom’s up!” He said as he downed three shots in quick succession, "What you been up to since we got our balls frozen off on Rhen Var?"

It wasn't often that others asked her about her work, even her rare visits with closest of friends did not lead to her explaining her work. Perhaps it was because she found it opportunity to spill her mind about what she is trying to complete in the ever-going puzzle of galactic spacefare. So, keeping in mind that many would not be able to keep up with her scientific explanations, she kept it as simple as possible; which turned into difficulty to finding her words to describe it.

Though when Vex mentioned she was a bit of a fan, it was hard to hide the blushing cheeks. She never thought herself as extraordinary, it was hard to see herself other than... well herself.

"Creating mainly, I have finally completed an engine component that will eliminate days, hours, off of lightspeed travel. Now its all about convincing shipwrights its viable and allowing me to have a stake in their shares." she explained. Altair seemed to have taken cue on the dancing and music and helped himself to the stage, her attention turned to the governor who seemed to be thrilled to have her on board to negotiations with the New Alderaanian shipyards. It wouldn't surprise her if he had a stake in the shipyard also.

"I'm sure those who are dedicated will be ready, we'll know who to cut once we meet with them." she nodded knowing how things get with companies and the changes they apply to their workforce.

Her attention turned to Altair as he seemed to soak up the moment of limelight, singing and dancing without a hiccup in his performance. Tia took a sip from her glass, turning her attention back to Vex, "So, like are you and Altair dating?" she asked playfully with a coy grin, not missing the way the two interacted when they came inside the hall.

"Having seen his skill in combat, I'm not sure I could handle what ever he's working with." Asher mused. Besides, it was the Tiefling's tail that peaked the half-Sephi's curiosity.

For some odd reason, he was nervous standing between Vahl and Caer. He could swear the two were just greeting one another. But he could not shake the feeling his might be missing something. Even before he could think about it she was gone. As she left he did look a little longer than perhaps he should have, a fact Caer quickly noticed.

"What....I....she....she looks good." He stammered. Suddenly feeling like a teen in the Jedi temple all over again. "It's not, really. Hot lady, Jock head. Story kinda writes itself." Asher perceived, then gave Caer a half smile. "Thank you, and I should. You picked it." Asher said, then allowed himself to be led to the apparent dance floor.

As Altair finished performance, something little slower would start to play. The half-Sephi would take one of Caer's hand, placing it on his shoulder. Near his neck. His own hand came under the Annfyn's and held his waist. The other hands still intertwined. He hadn't done it in some time, but the former Jedi started to waltz, holding his companion closely as they danced.

Asher lead to two of them around, trying to ignore the fact that most of the room was watching, if not joining in themselves. Until finally the song ended, and the former he gave Caer a little dip. Then a wink and half smile as he lifted him back up. Then held the Annfyn's gaze, unsure of what to do next.

With great exertion and mental fortitude John had managed to corral his arm back down to its natural position by his side. A few fingers twitched ever so slightly, giving the impression he was recovering from having stuck a paperclip in a wall outlet. Soon, more people started showing up to the bar where John was standing. Nervous, John pulled out his datapad and pretended to scan it, sending messages to someone. It was important to look important.

Conversations continued around him and John tried to read expressions for a cue of how he should act. But he couldn’t focus, what with all the nervous flinching of his fingertips. So many different people, singing on stage, clinking their glasses together. People were happy, but John was feeling quite down. He hadn’t really struck up any conversation of substance tonight, which was fine, since he didn’t seem to be much of a conversationalist. It was almost like drinking helped him put on his mask and put his heart away in a box. He was much more comfortable being John the man than John the Sith. Was this normal or yet another lie he told himself?

With racing thoughts, John put his datapad away, straightened his tie, got a glass of milk, and walked up to a young lady in a striking suit nearby. “Excuse me," he said to Ailis, (@Arcangel) in a light hearted tone. "You don't know the band, do you? They're new and it's their first festival gig, but everyone that's been to one of these things, says that they're like nothing you've heard before. Quite a show." He flashed a practiced smile at her. “My name is John. I'm looking for a master.”

Ailis idly watched the bartender refill her wine, ruby liquid pouring gracefully into the glass as she listened to Vahl's retort. At first, nothing but the idle pleasantries that could be expected, a hint of genuineness to her compliment that surprisingly lacked an edge. And there it was. Ailis stifled a giggle and covered her smile at the woman's jab with the rim of her wine glass, taking a sip to give herself a moment.

"Better to crawl out than stay and ooze around with the duracrete slugs." Ailis said with a slight shrug of her shoulder's. Vahliri's tongue was sharpened silver as always, pretty words with a cutting edge. Ailis sighed for a moment as she recollected, she hadn't seen Vahliri since before the bombing, and after that... Well her time spent studying the force in near isolation hadn't made her any friends. "It has been too long, and yet you're still a bitch." Ailis said lightly with a disarming grin to show she meant no harm. "Don't change." Ailis winked at the half-anfynn as a newcomer approached with confidence and compliments.

"But not as perfect as your outfit, and we match!" Ailis replied with a smile, her words giddy as she let her eyes linger on the newcomer's dress for a moment, the vibrant red sheen hard to draw her eyes from as her head began to buzz with the wine. "I'm Ailis, Ailis Drast." She introduced herself, wondering if Vahl and the newcomer knew each other. Ailis glanced towards the man the new girl had walked in with, who was busy talking with Altair after his performance. Always the charmer.

It was then that a red and sweaty looking man with a rather odd choice of paper headwear approached, asking about the band and a master. "I don't know the band, just the handsome tiefling who was singing a moment ago." She said as he eyes wandered back to Altair for a moment before she continued.

"A master? Odd place to be looking for one but i think i saw a few. Perhaps the redhead over there." Ailis gestured with her wine glass, red liquid nearly sloshing over the lip but barely remaining safe within the glass.

In the direction of her gesture were two redheads, one whom she didn't know (@Luwalhati ) who seemed to be somewhat similarly dressed as Ailis, if not quite so fabulous. The other was the brilliant mind of Lady Tiamat (@Tiamat ), the one Ailis really was referring too, caught in conversation with another woman she didn't recognize and the newly appointed Governer of the planet. "Good luck." Ailis finished talking to the sweaty Sith as she turned back to her lady companions as a slower song took over the hall.

"It appears your date has found Altair and the bar... best of luck getting him back." Ailis laughed lightly before finishing her second glass of wine off with a final deep sip. "He seem's otherwise occupied," She said as she placed her empty glass back on the bar, "Would you like to dance?" Ailis asked with a smile, holding a hand out to the lady in red. Perhaps she shouldn't have drank so deeply so quickly, but her head delightfully abuzz with alcohol and she very much wanted to move about, even if the music wasn't the kind she preferred for dancing.
