DESCRIPTION
The Cetus-Class Diplomatic Barge is Mon Calimari Shipyard's premiere model of medium sized luxury transport craft. The Cetus-class was originally commissioned to replace the aging Cetea-class that had been in service for several decades. It features a larger cargo hold, a modernized floor plan, and a high quality communications suite than the older Cetea. Following typical Mon Calamari design, the diplomatic barge boasts a bulbous, yet sleek design. It sports above average shield generators for a ship of its class, though has somewhat lumbering handling. While a smooth ride, the Cetus-class is graceful, not agile when it comes to flight.

The ship contains a modest three person bridge, with a captain stationed center, with the co-pilot and communications officer to the sides. While the captain handles piloting and hyper space, the co-pilot monitors shields, navigation, and power regulation. Lastly the comms officer handles incoming and outgoing communications, as well as any jamming. Turrets mounted on the spinal and ventral portions of the craft provide some offensive power and are manned by weapon and security officers during a crisis. Despite this, the craft is large for its armament, has notable blind spots, and is designed with the intent of receiving a fighter escort when traveling.

The interior of the Cetus boasts a luxurious master suite, two smaller guest bedrooms with lavatories, and modest crew quarters. There is a sizable galley towards the center of the craft, a lounge, stateroom, and a small droid bay. There is also a small armory for security officers and a triage station for performing basic first aid. The interior is overall designed to be open, spacious, and above all else opulent. The Mon Calamari pride themselves on curvaceous shapes and designs reminiscent of their aquatic home and their elaborate underwater cities. Lastly, the cargo hold features a loading ramp designed to accommodate smaller terrestrial craft. The Cetus can comfortably fit several one-two person repulsorlift craft such as speeder bikes and landspeeders within its cargo hold.

All Cetus-Class are made to order, with variants on catalog for prospective buyers. Available in a number of colors and styles, with optional trimming and insignia embossing. They are not an uncommon sight in the deep core worlds, or in the planets bordering Mon Calamari space. Mon Calamari Shipyards has long been a major supplier of New Republic armaments going back to the early days of the Rebellion with its MC80 and MC90 cruisers. These longstanding ties have made it a major supplier in government craft for diplomats, nobility, and a popular options for the galaxy's aristocratic elite.

LEGALITY
While the Cetus-Class is perfectly legal for anyone of appropriate means to purchase it is an exceptionally pricey vessel. Each Cetus is made to order, and only available direct through Mon Calimari Shipyards and their subsidiaries.

INTENT
The vessel is designed to flesh out the modern Mon Calimari Shipyards starship catalog with an attractive medium sized transport for civilian and government use. Lightly armed and armored, the ship is good at what it was designed for and little else. A flying states room, with amenities to facilitate its elite clientele.

ADVANCED TECH
Yes, this is an advanced ship type limited in stock by both rarity and cost. It features top of the line construction, materials, and functions chiefly as a long range diplomatic vessel. 2-3 Threads of proper difficulty to acquire.

My apologies for taking so long to get to this. Right off, however, I'm afraid that the template must be edited to bring this submission in line with the new tech rules, as Advanced Tech is no longer a valid category.

I also still don't like the image you've chosen for this submission. It really does not reflect the established visual language of Star Wars. Would prefer if it were changed.
