(OOC: Death Disabled, open to anyone, social thread--a reflection on the end of a timeline).
"Heh...I always hated this dust bowl, but I guess you already knew that huh?"

The red sand of Ord Cestus swept across the open stretch of land, the wind creating an empty response to the man. Kal's eyes shifted under the sunglasses he wore, glancing down towards a small makeshift memorial site--a small smile forming on his face as he knelt down towards it. His fingers would run against the name that had been etched into the large rock, Sena, he would chuckle slightly as he reached into his poncho, revealing a child's lightsaber.

He would lift the shades a bit, his cybernetic left eye taking a glance at the ancient weapon before setting it down beside the rock. A slight huff escaping his throat as he stood up, looking forward towards the everlasting planes. "Yah' know, I always promised to visit you when you left...I guess things never worked out the way we plan huh?" He would pause for a moment as he regained his composure and his voice grew to something more steady, "I just want you to know that...I'm sorry for waiting so long..for this. I used to hate thinking about this, the thought of you dying, all I wanted was revenge. It...lead me to a path of darkness and only more pain, but I guess it showed me that I was truly alive, and that I didn't want to die...Revenge, redemption, glory, credits...it doesn't interest me anymore." His eyes would shift towards the sky for a moment, "Just living...Heh, I've never mentioned that to anyone, but then again, you are my sister Sen," he would pause unsure of how to continue, "Well...this is farewell for now kid."

His eyes would take one last glance towards the grave before leaving on his landspeeder--heading back towards the port.

She had seen almost every corner of the Outer Rim, every nook and cranny, every dark place, and every light. This place, Ord Cestus, was one of those corners. It had been years since the Zeltron had been here. There was no reason to return, yet she did. But then again, what reason was there to do anything else? Ever since she'd been torn away from the excitement of the galaxy, everything seemed much smaller. Nothing really mattered anymore, as ironic as it were. Same thoughts she'd had not months ago. What happened?

Ah, yes. Her use was over. Nobody needed a smuggler anymore. Just soldiers, something she was far from. The galaxy was in war. The only safe places were planets like these. Utter hellholes.

Funny how that worked. She moped through the streets, looking for a cantina or saloon, something to make it all fade away briefly.

"You couldn't bother cleaning up after yourself...the speeder looks like a rat's nest, it's going to cost you more yah' know?"

Kal would let out a soft chuckle as he tossed a stack of credits down onto the counter, his eyes narrowing through his shades as he smiled towards the disgruntled clerk, "You never said anything about keeping it clean," Kal would reply in a coy manner towards the man who would quickly point up towards a sign that read, PLEASE RETURN ALL RENTALS CLEAN AND REFUELED, "Oh..." Kal would respond, titling his shades down to get a closer look at the sign.

"Did you fill it up at least," the clerk would ask slightly annoyed.

Shooting his fingers up towards the man, Kal would give a slight smirk as he tilted his head, "About that...." He would back towards the door, making a quick exit from the small shop. The sounds of the clerk's anger could be heard, but the former Smuggler didn't bother to stop and listen, instead he made his way through the crowd and towards the port exit. His eyes shifted towards the ground as his shoulders slung forward as he walked--a small smile on his face as he walked.

"What the," he would respond as he realized he had crashed into someone, nearly causing him to tumble over. He would glance up to see a familiar shade of pink, a Zeltron--one he knew. Lifting his shades up briefly, he would glance towards her with an awed expression, "Heh, force be damned," he would exhale as he held his hand out towards the woman to help her up, "Didn't expect to see you out here," he would respond an amused manner, "Sorry about that..."

"Heh, Force be damned."

A voice. Familiar. She snapped out of her daze and found herself on the ground and with a hand in front of her face as a gesture to help her up.

"Didn't expect to see you out here. Sorry about that..."

She grabbed his hand and pulled herself to her feet, finally taking notice of who he was. The Zeltron smirked and replied with sarcasm.
"Cause I'm so bloody high-class, aren't I? This is a fine day, isn't it. Everyone's found us lowlifes to be useless and now we're just hovering around. Or that's what I'm doing. What about you?"

Kal smirked a bit as he wiped away a bit of dust from his jacket as he took a closer glance towards the Zeltron, something seemed off about her--maybe she was just in a bad mood. "Lowlife...suit yourself," he would say in a flirty tone, he would glance back towards the port before shifting his attention back towards her, "Well...I was coming to say goodbye to someone special," he would respond in a more subtle and calm tone, he would pause with a slight sigh; her slight annoyance was clearly visible. "What Bantha climbed up your back?"

"Lowlife...suit yourself."
Herrith crossed her arms and bit back with a quick reply.
"Lowlife's better than no life."

The man glanced behind him at the port before turning back her way, as though sharing a close secret. Kinda funny how that worked. She sold secrets.
"Well...I was coming to say goodbye to someone special."
Aww, how sweet. Almost like a romantic holovid.
Disgusting.

"What Bantha climbed up your back?"
The Zeltron came back to the present, surprised he'd picked up on her fairly piss-poor mood. Stuff happens when you're left in the mud and, more importantly, don't get paid beforehand. She said her reason plainly and bluntly. No point hiding anything.

"I got left in the dust by my employers once the war started. Didn't really get paid, either. On top of that, I was stupid enough to consider a couple friends. Guess I made another mistake."

She kept 'her employers' very vague. May as well keep hope they'd return.
