Description:
The Hammerhead-Class Dreadnaught serves as one of the deadliest ships in the Chiss Ascendancy military. The Expansionary Defense Force utilizes these models as as large, heavily armed capitol ships to an admirals forces. The Dreadnaught is used as a secondary source of offensive fire, residing in the core of the fleet behind a fleet's primary line of defense. They are equipped with a long-range assortment of laser and plasma fire while complimented with a variant-range artillery arrangement on each of its flanks. With the latest of Chiss tracking technology, manually targeted self-guiding Concussion Missiles and Proton Torpedoes are assembled on either side of the port and starboard hangars, allowing fighters to be deployed safely and quickly, while providing a close-range bombardment of approaching enemies. Lastly, the dreadnaught is equipped with a single super laser cannon that when activated, can cripple a ship's propulsion systems and engines to drift in space. This offensive weaponry system requires an immense amount of power and is unable to perform most other capabilities simultaneously.

Description:
The Destiny-Class Destroyer is designed as a Chiss Battleship with only one purpose, destruction. A massive hulking ship, the Destroyer is designed to carry medium firepower while taking as much damage as possible to barrel through enemy forces. Its forward hull is the strongest point of a ship, strong enough to even ram another capitol ship, driving through them, without taking severe damage. The wings and sides of the ship, although weaker than the rest, are not only designed to take damage while dealing it out, but are significantly stronger than other capitol ship's normal armor. Essentially, the Destiny sacrifices guns and speed for overwhelming armor and shields. Cannon batteries are efficiently placed all down the ship's sides and wing, with all missiles placed in the wings for efficient forward fire. The hanger may be accessed from the underbelly of the ship, allowing for ease of deployment for fighters while creating difficultly for enemy boarding.

Description:
The Achilles-Class Destroyer Carrier is constructed as an elongated variant of the Chiss Super Star Destroyer model. The vessel is unique in appearance for its purpose in manufacturing for the Expansionary Defense Force, serving dually as a primary line of defense as a military cruiser and a heavily stocked carrier. The ship is designed to set in a planet's low orbit as a temporary space-station in defensive measures, acting as a small base of operations for a mobile fleet remaining stationary at a planet. While deployed in this mode, the majority of forces are issued for regular patrols and monitoring of the system, diverting power to long-range systems. The semi-orbital station is designed to provide fighter support and defensive preparations prior to a naval engagement, while still aiding with long-range weaponry. The ship is enters a vulnerable state when deployed in low orbit, remaining in the distance rather than deploying fighters on the front lines of an assault. These carrier-destroyer mix model is able to pinpoint and destroy even fortified planetary establishments when deployed as a station, bombarding the surface with monitored guidance systems.

Description:
The Legacy is a unique step forward in Chiss engineering. Its primary function is as a front line assault ship, to break enemy lines and shatter defenses. As such, it is equipped with some of the latest technology, from shielding, to engines. Not necessarily better than its Chimera counterpart, it simply has a different role. Created for the highly aggressive Marine’s division, it spearheads attacks on enemy fortifications, be they space stations, or capital ships. This ship is currently undergoing trials by High Magister Caris.

After the creation of the Chimera, it became apparent to the Ascendancy that the Fleet was in need of an updated cruiser model, to compliment the Chimera both in deployment and also to replace the Chimera in situations where less force was required. As a result, the Tengu was created. The Tengu is modeled in many aspects after the specifications of the Chimera, but with minimalized weapons systems compared to its older sibling, as well as a redesigned hull.

Description:
This vessel is designed to serve as a sideline supporting cruiser, aiding an entire fleet with its primary function. The Osiris-Class Stealth Support Cruiser acts as a passive cloak around its fleet. Sensors and scans are blocked out on a large scale through an advanced Chiss interruption system. Scans and sensor signals are reverted around the emanated field produced by the Stealth Cruiser's many panels, adhering and negating any readings of the area. Effectively, the ship's purpose is to conceal and hide a positioned fleet in a territory for long periods of time. This ship was designed almost as a small, supporting station and acting similarly to the mobile Xerxes-Class Battle Station. The stealth cruiser has a similar function to the Achilles-Class Carrier Destroyer, in deploying itself in an orbital mode like that of a space station, fully functioning as a cloak to the fleet.

The Ferox is the one of the smallest of the Chiss Ascendancy’s capital class vessels. It is designed to eliminate like-size or smaller vessels, including corvettes. Description: The Phalanx-Class Frigate is another innovation in Chiss battle tactics. This ship is designed for maximum shield and armor strength, sacrificing speed for maneuverability, and attack power for a defensive advantage when compared to the Ferox-Class Frigate. The Phalanx-Class Frigate shielding gives it the same defensive power as a battle cruiser, focusing most primary power sources to the multiple shield generators. These reinforced barriers take away energy from other systems when intensified to its maximum effect, forming a protective wall in the front lines of a fleet. This makes it a perfect decoy during battles, and serves as a defensive support ship.

Description: The Eclipcex-class was designed originally as a sort of heavy corvette or light frigate. However, far superior ships were designed as a result of the brief Chiss-Mandalorian war, as well as the inevitable Chiss arming up due to their alliance with the Sith and the beginning of the war.

The Eclipcex-class was made to be both stealthy and powerful for its size. As a small frigate, it was capable of taking on and dominating corvettes and other small warships, though a destroyer would typically have it for lunch. A notable feature about the vessel was its micro-roughened hull reinforced with electronic dampeners. This disrupted and absorbed sensor scans and other observational technology, making the vessel nearly invisible to modern detection systems. It was a much simpler and more cost-effective solution than implementing a hibridium or stygium cloak, despite the ship's stealth and scout purposes. The vessel's maser weaponry is far more effective against ship hulls then a turbolaser, allowing it to decimate most fighters and small warships. With a surprise attack, the Eclipcex has the capability of crippling a cruiser if caught with its shields down.

The vessel inside is rather typical for modern ships, with Imperial-like design features in a lovely blue hue. The ship's interior is almost relaxing. A small hangar bay carries a single squadron of fighters (six fighters) and a shuttle for transport usage, there being barely enough room for a small freighter to land safely. Maximum automation has kept the required crew count low, the use of droids supplementing it even more. Despite its modern features, the highly advanced design of the Eclipcex interior is far too costly to efficiently put into Chiss ships on a wide scale.

Description:
The Valkyrie-class Corvette was designed in response to the Lance-class Dropships. Built with the intention of quick deployment, the nose of the corvette is loaded with Lance-class Dropships enabled for fast ejection. As the Valkyries were made with swooping in and out, the Valkyries have little weaponry, but makes up for it in speed. They are also equipped with an advanced communication system, enabling it to serve as a communications relay point for invasion forces.

Description:
The Clawcraft is an iconic vessel associated with the Chiss since the time of the first Galactic Empire. It has been remade several times since then, each time with new additions in order to improve the overall design. The newest design, the Mk. 4, has increased the hull size and added a missile launcher in order to make the Clawcraft capable of more varied missions. It still maintains the maneuverability and speed the Clawcraft is known for. In addition they have replaced the standard lasers of the older vessels with masers of their own design.

Description:
The Nyr-class bomber was developed to fill the roll that the Chiss Navy lacked previously, a heavy strike fighter. While most bombers are screened by more agile fighters in order to get to their destinations Nyrs are more then capable of making it their destination without their usual support. They are heavily armed and armored, holding enough missiles to take down an entire squadron of starfighters or do considerable damage to a capital ship.

Description:
The Warhawks are a new breed of fighter. Fast, agile, and deadly they could easily be used in battle. Their two High precision Masers are among the most accurate masers in existence and higher powered than normal. It’s rockets are small payload, and have limited maneuverability. However, they are able to be launched in rapid fire, and are incredibly fast, able to outpace any fighter. However, their primary functions are, scouting, exploring, listening, and mapping new territories. A sophisticated droid brain has been added to the ship to help with these duties.

Description:
The Lance-class dropships were designed to accommodate the Valkyrie-Class Frigate, but are applied on all capital ships in the Ascendancy's Defense Fleet. Designed to puncture barriers and ground structures, Lances allow for quick deployment of forces, penetrating a base's interior or piercing the outer hull of star ships. These boarding craft are used to plummet through and latch to an enemy ship's side, releasing its Marines inside. The point end is installed as a type of drilling, twisting and cutting through the cracks and ripping the material around it. The pod is equipped with a high-contact propulsion system, pushing the pod through a surface to penetrate under-ground establishments.

Description:
The Ferric-Class Transport Shuttle, is among the most wide spread of all Chiss ships. It is the mainstay personnel shuttle, and can be found on nearly every type of capital ship, installation, and space station. The ships holds little combat purposes, but makes up for its lack of offensive weaponry with increase shielding. The transport is meant to drop into hot situations, unloading immediate military personnel into a hot battlefield. The deployment shuttle can hold a maximum of 70 passengers on board, while able to be used in naval battles, serving as a mass-boarding craft for the Marine Corps.

Description:

Not designed for open combat, they still have moderate shielding, several defensive maser cannons, concussion missile tubes, and a Clawcraft escort for protection. Slow in real space, they are quite quick through hyperspace.

Description:
A top-of-the-line Battle Station, the Ascendancy Class Capital Station is designed to protect entire planets almost on its own. Description:
The CES Drive Yard's Orbital Space station, where it all begins. Most Space Stations and star ships are manufactured at this production facility. This is by no standards a military battle-station, and therefore it is not capable of defending itself against a sizable fleet. The Tyrannis-Class Drive Yards are established in the heart of Chiss territory, guarded by the Ascendancy's capital and territorial defense stations. However, the Drive Yards are additionally provided with a personal detail of constant patrol and protection from a personal fleet with fighter contingents. Monitoring: State of the Art monitoring equipment is standard, capable of detecting anything that moves within ten miles of the fortress. Hidden holorecorders in the surrounding environment provide extra, but unnecessary, visual confirmation. The Motion monitoring system is fully capable of detecting through most stealth tech by monitoring the movement of the environment and nearby animals. Multiple landmines are also placed all around the fortress in many cases, though not all. The landmines are often placed close enough together that the setting off of one will trigger ten or fifteen more as well. Killing not only the poor soul who stepped on it, but those around him as well.
Stealth: The Epsilon is capable of concealing itself from most scanners, although this is virtually useless unless the person scanning does not come down onto the planet. The Epsilon is so large that it is hard to miss, but it does not show up on scanners due to the high tech, short range jamming devices it uses.
Jamming Devices: Jamming Devices are also employed by the Epsilon. Only the highest ranking officers have coms units that possess the needed codes to bypass the jammer. Lower ranking soldiers can only employ short range communicators that cease to function once the soldier is 100 meters away from the person they are contacting. The jammer is in effect at a minimum of thirty miles in all directions around the Epsilon.

Description:
The Alpha Class military installation is designed as cheapest and most efficiently built Chiss base. Primarily used in low gravity situations, without an atmosphere, they can be built in a matter of hours. Still, it does well against high and low pressures, the intense heat and cold of space, and the occasional small meteorite. Description:
The Beta Class Military Installation is among the most common forms of atmospheric outposts in Chiss space. These buildings are able to be erected in a matter of three days each. Often placed next to each other, these outposts and easily form a base complex. With moderate shielding, armor, and high powered weaponry, these are the mainstay outposts for the Chiss ground forces. Each contains repair bays, armories, barracks, mess halls, training facilities, sensors, communications devices, and other necessary implements to run a successful base. Their vehicle complement can be changed based on the mission, location and personal preference of the commander in charge.

Description:
The Delta Class Military Installation is the first of the true Chiss heavy military bases. Usually built into the sides of hills and mountains, the ground itself gives it extra defensive strength. However, they take weeks to set up. Once they are up however, these bases can protect entire quadrants of a planet’s surface. Heavily armored and armed, these bases provide a formidable opponent to ground forces, as well as those in the air. Their two Ion Cannons are able to disable nearly any light to medium sized capital ship that gets into orbit around the base, keeping it safe from most orbital bombardments.

Description:
The All-Terrain Outpost Mobile, or ATOM for short, is the Chiss Ascendancy's armed mobile command post issued for large-scale invasions. These massive walker command bases act as a drop-deployable headquarters of operations from orbit, launched from a large carrier in the Expansionary Defense Fleet's arsenal. More often seen in the Ascendancy's Core Worlds, a grid-arrangement of ATOM Walkers maintain a routine patrol of a planet's surface to provide constant planetary support in the case of a naval battle. These constructions are equipped with long-range artillery cannons that reach to a planet's near-orbit, capable of piercing ships after each cooldown. Most functions are inactive when diverting power to artillery mode, leaving the walker vulnerable. As its only line of defense in this state, the ATOM's stationed forces utilize the walker as a base of defense, operating the manual defensive systems in a ground situation. ATOMs are issued to Marshalls and above.

It’s light armor, speed, and agility, make it an effect, yet inexpensive, method of securing lakes, canals, swamps, and coast line. It is armed with a single PKR-2 repeating blaster cannon, capable of sinking other boats, and even damaging unshielded fighters. It also can hold three other passengers, who can be armed with a variety of weapons.

Description:
The Crescent Railgun is designed as a sidearm issued weapon. The Railgun projects its round through electromagnetic repulsion. A round is placed within a chamber treated by two electromagnetic rails, then electric currents are sent through the rails forcing the round out of the chamber at intense speeds. Railguns typically fire at speeds far greater then normal blasters or projectile weapons, causing a larger kickback. The kickback is used to reload the weapon fairly quick, allowing for a greater rate of fire. The muzzle flash is not explosive, but electrical discharge.

Description:
The Sneek Gun is designed as a more effective heavy blaster pistol, utilizing two double barrels with the ability to fire independently of each other. Each barrel feeds off of the same Mag that's loaded, however, that isn't much of a drawback. The gun produces a surprisingly average amount of recoil for heavy blasters, considering the double barrels. The Sneek Gun is effective at close to medium range and can be equipped with sights for better accuracy- the gun's barrel is unable to equip attachments due to it's nature.

Description:
MI9 Avonavi Blaster Pistol serves it's purpose as a short range, rapid fire pistol within the Mandalorian military. The Pistol is mainly useful for covert operations since it has a built in suppressor. The MI9 Avonavi Blaster Pistol's greatest strength is it's ability to keep a constant stream of bolts flowing, if used correctly, and the ability to switch between one shot bursts to three. Its greatest weakness surprisingly is not it's lack of strength but inaccuracy. The MI9 Avonavi Blaster Pistol for that reason is at its best in enclosed spaces and in buildings. It does have ability to pierce most armor but its inaccuracy requires you to be in a close to medium distance away. Lastly the pistol also has the potential for a small variety of sight attachments or modifications.

The SVD serves it's purpose as a Ion Sniper Rifle for the Mandalorian military. The rifle is very useful in operations that include droids or Mechanized soldier or equipment of any kind with the ability to be effective for very long ranges. The lower variety of modifications for this weapon impedes its ability to be customized by the user. The rifle is effective against all types of technology, even able to disable some vehicles, though it causes barely no damage to a biological enemy. The SVD was made by Lucius, a ranger in training, who knows personally how decisive droids, and electronics can be so he decided to make a weapon to counter that. The SVD has a higher magazine clip then the rest of Lucius' sniper designs and can be used at close range, though not recommended. The Downside to the SVD is that it is less efficient against biological enemies.

Chiss Marine Combat Suit

The most noticeable feature of the Marines is their unique combat suits. These suits are self contained survival units. They recycle air, meaning they don’t need to use outside air to supply them. They are capable of taking the lack of pressure of deep space without any problems. Equally, they can take the pressure of immense depths underwater, or the strain of high air pressure on certain worlds. Containing light shielding to stop radiation from penetrating the being underneath allows them to go nearly anywhere they need to. Shielded visors change their tint based on the light levels, and even contain inferred and night vision. Not to mention a sonar system, motion detectors, magnetic field scanners, amplified sound receivers, and short range radar. These suits have a heating and cooling device, allowing for the wearer to be comfortable, in space, under water, or on a volcanic planet. Further systems include a water purification system, that supplies the wearer with a short term drinking supply. As its designed for high combat use, it also protects against shrapnel, grazing laser shots, and the pressure waves caused by explosions.

Expanse-Class Defense Grid

The Chiss Ascendancy utilizes a large-scale implementation of mines in a defensive field around their territory. The massive cloak of explosives is usually used in large enough increments to cover a grid coordinate block on a galaxy map, extending between systems as an ever-lasting wall of spheres. The mines were lightly armed individually, but were equipped with smart-technology, manufactured by the latest of developments in Chiss Engineering. The drones had an auto-target function in their design, honing in and focusing on the specific ship identification numbers in respect to active alliances. Ships that matched with recorded agreements were relatively safe and would not be targeted as hostile intruders, however failing to cease and await confrontation would result in destruction.

The individual drones that make up the expanse of a laid out mine field have several functions of attack. Primarily, they are positioned as a stationary device, however are designed with light and maneuverable propulsion systems. In the case of an invasion, the defensive wall is programmed to act as an attack force, as a multitude of fighter-like machines to defend with. These models are linked together in a mass grid pattern, connecting their system awareness and coordination. In the case of a lighter situation than invasion, the field serves as an immovable wall of defensive lasers. Each device is equipped with a medium Turbolaser battery, utilizing speed over initial power.

The drones' second offensive function is to react aggressively. Upon destruction, the outer shell and body are detached as dangerous shrapnel debris from the remainder of the node, revealing the protected concussion missile beneath reinforced metals. As the model is attacked and disabled, this missile ejects from its concealment and targets the nearest enemy through smart-targeting features. Additionally, the probes are designs to detonate upon immediate contact, triggered to reroute the power source into a fusion reaction. The protected concussion missile is also then activated to heighten the detonation's power.

Light and miniature monitoring outposts are stationed periodically throughout an implemented mine field. These operate automatically through a relay system to the nearest Chiss establishment, maintaining sensors and scans throughout space to record and update the defensive parameter. The gathered intelligence and fortification reports are dissected with the utmost scrutiny, organized in an intricate log and system of documentation. These readings are received and analyzed by Chiss technicians and moderators, granting the Ascendancy a constant surveillance of the map's grid point. In addition, these mines are installed with individual tracker beacons, allowing the Ascendancy to keep each of their status in check. As a final precaution, the individual mines are also installed with very light deflector shield against the natural debris of space. The propulsion systems are guided to avoid small comets and asteroids that could activate them, but target larger objects for destruction and possible resource recovery.

At each tactical position of the defense wall covering that section of space, a Derran-Class Defense Station is in place, supervising the minefield as an official Chiss outpost. Each of these stations are connected to a Gravity Well Generation, armed for remote activation to halt the travel of ships in hyperspace. As an additional precaution, the Chiss Ascendancy commands these functions from their nearest Capital World, in the case of an invasion. Should a mass amount of ships arrive, they would be trapped in that area of space until deactivating the hyperspace jamming device. In the time these forces would be recognized, the minefield are designed to target and destroy the enemy fleet while Chiss forces organize. The minefield purpose in all regards is to delay surprise attacks. Through this, the defensive array serves to eliminate smaller ships and weaken their larger vessels, while still needing to locate and destroy the Derran-Class Defensive Station and Gravity Well Generator.



Chiss Engineered Software Viruses

Latest developments from Chiss Engineering Systems's top engineers to begin developing improved technical software programs, designed to infiltrate and attack enemy computer systems. There were three encoded viruses under development, the first prioritizing in stealth and leaving enemies in the dark. The Alpha Virus was designed to covertly infiltrate an enemy's electronic programming and override its systems of communication and awareness. An encrypted firewall is put in place over individual pieces of technology, such as ships or networked equipment and mechanics. Any source of outward communication through transmissions to relayed waves are blocked and dispersed, redirected to nearby Chiss monitoring equipment. Additionally, the virus spreads through frequency channels that are connected with an affected piece of technology. Other fighters in a squadron are capable or transmitting it to a base ship in its fleet. Different stations are attuned to access the frequency given off, but only by a close distance. More directly, the virus's purpose is to black out scanner readings and most developed sensors. Targeting systems are disabled and pilots are often left with blind fire, relying on sight alone.

The Beta Virus focuses on lethality and destruction in its purpose and intent, acting as an infectious override-hack on smaller systems, such as droids or automated defense systems. The last virus focuses on a less hostile approach. The first program infiltrates an enemy firewall covertly, working at a slower pace to avoid detection by security systems. The virus soon overwhelms the primary functions of the machinery, designed to primarily target a ship's engines and life support systems, or the shield generator and electronic hub connected to a base's defenses. Simultaneously, the virus is spread throughout the fleet-wide comms channel to infect deployed fighters and smaller ships, isolating their sensors and communications from the rest of the fleet.

The second software program, Virus Beta, aims to overtake a machine's central power systems, controlling the distribution and fluctuations of the power source. First and foremost, the virus is designed to redirect the supply of energy so that the machine works at a lower efficiency, originally weakening an enemy while the virus establishes its hold. The redirected power is conserved in a single system of the infected machine, shut down and isolated from the machine's control or programming. Once the virus has fully disabled the droid, the virus implants new orders with a re-designated targeting system, gathering the buildup of energy and releasing it offensively. In most cases, any functioning weaponry is activated in a final burst of usage, resulting in a self-destruct detonation, amplified by the overheating reaction. Ideally, the virus turns most automated machines to Chiss control before destroying itself as an explosive threat. For systems that do not work automatically, but are dually programmed into a network or linked hub of systems, such as the average soldier's helmet and targeting system, or connected weaponry, the equipment most often explodes in the soldiers' possession.

The last and final virus, the Delta Virus, prioritizes with observation and analysis, serving as a transmittable program to monitor and keep records of events and readings. The virus retains records of the systems it infects, downloading all the available information in the technology's design and purpose. Scans and sensor readings are taken and observed, as well as any observation function otherwise used. This allows for hyperspace coordinate jumps to be monitored and followed, just as droids relay their vision, recordings, standing orders, and programmed schematics. Primarily, the virus is meant to remain concealed, hidden from notice unless one knew how to compare the original copy of the virus to an infected hardware system. Without knowledge of the specific program coding, or at least familiar with Chiss technology, it was unlikely the virus could be decrypted.
