Cipher 10's Armor

Sometimes civilian clothes aren't enough or when Cipher 10 needs to 'wear' some tools they choose to dawn their custom armor. It is based off of a simple blast vest with some adjustments for the Karkarodon's needs. A pair of gauntlets protect the agent's arms which they need to slice into system and house armor functions depending on the mission.

All pouches are water proof and air tight and have a small button that "vents" all the air trapped inside the various pockets. This is so that Cipher 10 is not slowed down while submerged in water due to air bubbles residing in their pockets and worn containers. This also helps decrease bulk and make rations or other delicate cargo safe from water damage. Every part of the armor is made to effectively operate in any environment though its wearer may be in more danger than their clothes.


LEGALITY
Mostly legal and commonly available throughout the galaxy for everyone from paranoid civilians to basic security guards and beat cops to back alley gangers. Cipher 10's unique armor may have some questionable functions depending on the mission but they have licensing/authority as an ISB agent to wear and use these.

INTENT
A personal armor for my character Cipher 10. I intend to also use it to track any personal changes or upgrades.

Functions

Function 1: Computer Spike (right wrist)
  • Computer spikes are used to forcibly decrypt or unlock computer terminals. Most civilian systems can be cracked in one posting round, while most military or hardened systems take two or more.

Function 2: Gauntlet Buckler (left wrist)
  • Liked by bounty hunters and mercenaries, this small deployable shield on one forearm that provides protection over the space of 40 cm diameter circle, which is enough to usually cover the distance of the arm from fist to elbow. It can protect the wearer from 1 medium damage attack or 2 light damage attacks before deactivating. Heavy damage attacks are partially reduced, and deal "bleed through" equivalent to light damage. Once used, the shield must recharge and cannot be used again for the duration of the thread. The buckler has to be activated and deactivated. No other gauntlet functions may be used while the shield is deployed, nor can other objects be used in the same hand.

Function 3: Inertial Dampeners
  • Integrated Inertial dampeners help reduce impacts imparted wearers body, situated under the armor panels, they help the absorb the shock of weapon impact through the armor and most other forms of blunt force trauma, for example, a fall or impact that might have fractured bones would only give them intense bruising.

Function 4: Personal Cloaking Device
  • A gauntlet function only acceptable for light or medium armor, portable cloaking devices are extremely useful for sneaks and, quite frankly, cowards who want to avoid a fight. They provide relatively complete invisibility from the naked eye at a distance of more than 10 meters by warping the light around them, but are quite useless under that range. However, one must move slowly, no faster than a walking speed, and cannot attack in any way, or the cloaking is ended, and it only lasts for about 30 seconds anyways. One's heat signature can still be detected easily. The device must be activated and deactivated by manually pushing a button located on gauntlet, and takes 3 seconds to become fully operational, a time in which one is immobile and can be injured or killed quite easily.
