Clan Veren
Despite being a small Clan by many standards, Veren has a long and honorable history among the Mandalorian people. Down through the millennia, they have produced many skilled warriors of great renown. Many years ago, Veren became one of the loyalists to House Solus and adopted much of the badger heraldry and customs including taming battle badgers. Solus and Veren have historically maintained very close ties over the years.

Clan Veren produced many warriors during the fall of the First Sith Empire, but none as notable as Narir Veren-Solus. A child of two Clans, he served as a member of the War Council under both Mand'alors Raz and Leandros Solus. Atop the fearsome basilisk war droids they tore down the power of the Empire, rising to conquer all before them. It was the Mandalorians that broke the back of the Empire and throughout the war, members of Veren were always found at the tip of the spear.

As the Mandalorians secured power and the war waned, Narir returned to Clan Veren, taking up the mantle of Alor and bringing them fully into the fold of House Solus. The heraldry of Veren - a Phoenix - was combined with the badger of Solus to create a new symbol of the Clan, honoring its past victories.

Over the many years that followed the Mandalorians sought out new enemies and their grip on the galaxy waned. During these years, Clan Veren continued to battle both external and internal forces. Many remained on Mandalore while others sought work off-world as mercenaries, returning often to support their family.

As the Mandalorians once again gained a name in the galaxy, so too did Clan Veren. As the Death Watch restored Mandalore to its former glory, Dak Veren fought to restore the conquering Mandalorian Dominion. When the Protectors - right hand to Mand'alor and the most skilled warriors of the day - were reestablished, Veren was among those to take on the title and responsibility.

At the side of Mand'alors Talia Al'Saif and Ral Vizla, Veren served for many years among the most elite warriors of Mandalore. Eventually when House Vizla - under the leadership of Talia and Caedryn - fought the Jedi and stole the darksaber to return it to its rightful people, Veren was among the warriors present.

Over the years that followed, the internal politics of the Mandalorians changed and though a small portion of Veren always remained on Mandalore, many made their livings off-world as mercenaries. When the Imperial Purge finally arrived, Clan Veren was not spared. Those of its members that remained on world fought vehemently against the power of the Galactic Empire and during those battles, Veren was nearly wiped out. As with most Mandalorians, they were forced into hiding on their world.

Taking on a primarily isolationist position in order to survive, they fought against any who imposed on their territory. Mercenaries who traveled off world slowly replenished their numbers with foundlings brought back, and Veren has once again begun to return its attention to the world outside themselves.

Intent
This is just to expand on the Mandalorian Clan that I've been using for the last few timelines. Although it is most likely just of interest to myself, anyone who would like to use Clan Veren for characters is welcome.
