The invasion of New Alderaan has begun. The Sith Navy is in the process of dispatching the planet's defense fleet, and meanwhile Sith have broken through to attack places on the ground. One sizeable force has been sent to the Jedi Temple, but there is a whole lot of ground to cover if the Sith want to take Outer Rim world. Pedee jumped at the chance to come along, as she is looking to sink her fists made of phrik through the flesh of organic filth.

In the second largest city on New Alderaan, the fighting has already begun, Sith vessels shriked overhead, weapons fire being exchanged from both sides. War has without a doubt found it's way here, and there would be no escaping it now.

Pedee would be with a large group of RDR droids, they would be immediately start fighting at New Alderaanian defenders. Only moments had passed and the city has already sustained damage. The defenders can try as they might, but they can't hold off the Sith. Pedee would have a blaster pistol on her left hand once the way was clear, she would proceed through the street that leads to the governor's office. Once that's secure, the place will fall to the Sith.

The droid lady would have her usual equipment on her. It feels good to be on the battle field once more, for a machine she is quite eager to cause carnage and spill the blood of organics. Hopefully she encounter a Jedi here...

@Taz

This is a cPVP. This is a relaxed battle setting. This doesn’t affect the ultimate outcome of the New Alderaan invasion. Open to others to join if they want. 48 hours to post per side though.

Asher landed in the city behind the troop of droids. Only recently freed from his prison on Belsevis, he had much to prove to the Sith Council before he could be trusted to lead rank and file troops into war. Instead he was given "command" of a five man fire team of Foreign Legion members.

They were quipped well enough. A sniper, a couple of bounty hunters geared up like mandos, and one guy even had a PIPE. For Asher's part, he had his standard gear. Given to him by Vex, after she had released him from his cell and given him a new purpose. One he now hungered to fulfill.

The fallen Jedi would let the Pedee and the rest of the droids take the lead. With any luck baiting in one of his former companions. While he and his misfit mercs kept to the shadows and alleyways. In support, of course.

X3R lowered a pair of electrobinoculars from his dark, hard photoreceptors, watching as the Sith drop-ships - having deposited their murderous cargoes - lifted off and flared their thrusters, making the return trip to the troopships hanging ominously in the sky above.

"And here they come... kriff, where was our anti-air, asleep?!"

The ancient droid looked down to the organic standing beside him. The creature was a male human; young, as such creatures figured age, with red hair and fair, freckled skin beneath the helmet and light militia-issue body armor he wore. X3R regarded the human for a moment, before looking back to the recently landed enemy troops, raising the electrobinoculars once more.

"Dead." The droid replied simply. "The last orbital strike hit their position. If any are still alive, they were in no shape to contest the landing."

The human, who had been peering through his own binocs, heaved a long sigh. He seemed older than his years, but then that was the sort of thing war did to sapients. He gritted his teeth.

"Fierfek. Well, that answers that." He adjusted the binocs, his eyebrows rising in surprise. "Wait... oh kriff, those are clankers! Like you, eh?"

X3R once more lowered his binocs, servos whirring dangerously. He watched as the enemy battle droids formed up.

"No." He replied, a note of coldness to his normally monotone cadence. "Not like me."

The human smirked, reaching up to pat X3R on the shoulder and hopping down from the small hill of rubble where he and the droid had been observing the enemy landing zone. Ranged throughout the bombed out buildings and other debris was a platoon of New Alderaanian Civil Militia; some 36 men and women of various species. They carried A280C blaster rifles, for the most part, although a few had antique RPS-6 rocket launchers, accompanied by a spotter with a satchel of reloads. They wore little more than blast vests in the way of body armor, as well as armored helmets of a pattern that had been modern four or five generations back. Five of them had speeder bikes, old 74-Zs, currently sheltered under the lee of a half-destroyed structure that might have once been a bank.

They were exactly what they looked like; third or fourth echelon troops who had been overtaken by the front lines. The Civil Militia had never really been intended to fight; they were supposed to keep order at home while the regular defense forces did the real fighting, far away from the major population centers. They did basic drill on the weekends, theoretically knew which way to point a blaster...

...and here they were, defending their homes and loved ones against the invaders.

In spite of everything, X3R was proud of his troops. They had been green, but combat had stiffened them to a temperament even some commando units he had worked with would envy. Here, in the bombed-out ruins of their city, they were learning to be soldiers. X3R and a few others had been inserted with them to keep them motivated, but the droid didn't believe they needed it.

X3R hefted his own weapons. He carried an RPS-6 slung over one shoulder, plus a satchel of reloads, as well as an RT-97C heavy blaster rifle. He checked both methodically.

There would be combat, and soon.

Ronan walked to the right of his fellow champion (@Taz ). His lightsaber rested in his hands, ready to ignite at a moment's notice. What had happened on Serenno did not sit well with him, and he had a lot of anger he would work off in this battle. Fighting for the Sith was something he could do well. People skills; not so much.

He noticed a small civil militia gathering in the distance, and steadied himself a little, keeping a hold on his anger until he needed to release it.

It was her choice to let Silex drop her off on New Alderaan, as she really felt like she needed to help. At least to try helping the people. She was all healed and she felt like she was back on the right track. She had overcome the trauma for now. Silex had helped her with that. But once she set foot on the ground, she immediately regretted her decision. She was entering a war, this time without her master or with anyone else there to help. She wouldn't run into the front lines, but she would try her best to help the civilians in the background, either through healing or by escorting them out of the city. She took a deep breath, glancing over her shoulder one last time before she left the ramp and descended into the streets.

There were already panic-stricken shrieks and hasty civilians running for cover towards their houses, but there was also some sort of gathering. From the distance, it looked like a civil militia, but there was something else that caught her attention. She sensed a familiar presence. A presence, she had tried to forget over and over again. No, it couldn't be him. Her mind was playing tricks on her. She figured, this dark presence was probably coming from another Sith who had just set foot into the city. Instinctively she grabbed the hilt of her borrowed lightsaber, ensuring that she would be able to fight as soon as it would become necessary, but for now she couldn't locate direct enemies. She was far away, which was good, as this would give her a change to position herself in a strategic position. It wasn't her plan to get involved in any direct combat, but she wouldn't let the innocent get hurt. The Sith wouldn't win. She was sure about it.

Logistics was a nightmare.

The Sith attack had come unto Alderaan in waves, trickling like locusts as teams of elite bomber squadrons annihilated key military and civilian infrastructure earlier in the morning. The only real warning the planet had of an oncoming siege, but soon the might of the Sith Empire was descending on them in swathes. Heavy vehicles and transports from both sides ripped across the open field and tundra, through streets littered with corpses and fleeing civilians alike. Within one such transport sat a Jedi Consular, steeled but anxious. To her left where half a dozen of the local militia - barely trained, poorly armed and most likely being used as cannon fodder.

Her armor was donned, a K-16 Bryar Pistol holstered on her waist, with two smoke grenades and a vibro-knife strapped to her belt. A simple, yet effective, loadout.

The transport keeled to the left, then violently spun into a ditch as a massive, plasma induced rupture tore through it's outer shell. Two of the militiamen disappeared in a violent spray of viscera as the vehicle careened to a standstill. Before she could even move, a hail-fire of crimson bolts nailed a swathe through the infantry inside, cutting through the wall to down the majority of her team - reducing the HESCO blocks ahead of her to slag. Diving out of the transport, Eileen crawled through the mud until she hit an overhang, all the while blasts whizzing over her head.

They where transporting a series of durasteel blocks to the nearby Jedi Temple to set up a forward operating base inside. It was one of the few sites that seemed spared by the all out barrage earlier, as though the Sith seemed content in singling it out for armed conquest. The government facilities and major installations where in shambles, the planetary defense forces barely managing to muster themselves to counter the threat. Though the Sith could not yet see the massive waves of incoming infantry, the frontline was engaged, alongside a number of low-grade tanks and armored transports far superior to the bucket she had been sitting in.

The plan HAD been to set up a forward operating base, but glancing back at the transport that was quickly enveloped in azure flames, Eileen doubted that was possible. Her emerald saber lit up as she rose from the ground, looking over at another lost in thought.

Pedee looked behind her and knew that she and the droids she was with were being complimented by Sith and foreign legion people. The dark side force users, and mercenaries that were very good at what they do, their powers and skills may be key here. The droids forces would continue their advance forward, they would keep on pressing on, meeting scared civilians who were too slow in the wrong place at the wrong time. The fear was palatable, as everything was all peachy the beginning of the day and now they are thrust in a warzone. Pedee knew that 'fear' is a weakness organics have, it's a function of their hardware, droids do not have this.

The Blackwell-made droid could see some resistance forming up ahead. They do not like like the regular military they fought previously, something else, lesser? Pedee was ready for a fight along side the droids. Very soon, the metal tide of the Sith Empire's droids would be on a straight collision course for the ancient droids resistance forces.

One thing though, Pedee although she would love nothing more to go start throwing herself and the droids at them, has to do one last thing. Pedee would adjust her vocabulator, turning of the volume and making it to where it would be like she was talking out of a megaphone. "Attention all New Alderaanian forces and Jedi in the area. This is your last chance to give yourselves up and surrender, or flee the city. If you oppose us, you are signing your own death warrants and those of your comrades. Be smart about this" Pedee was ready to react just in case anyone tried interrupting her of course. The droid forces would continue forward and will very soon clash with the militia ahead.

Asher gave a barely perceptible nod to the other champion, who seemed barely equipped for the task ahead. Or perhaps his years in a hole at the bottom of Belsavis had left him a little distrusting of his fellows. It was a habit that had kept him alive thus far.

In any case, he continued to watch as the droids marched forward. Doing a superb job at attracting the attention of the pitiful looking resistance starting to form ahead of them. To the former Jedi's surprise, the lead droid decided to do a callout. Un-unexpected tactic from what he remembered fighting Sith and their forces earlier on in his life. So much had changed.

A ripple in the force grabbed his attention. Like a hound catching a fresh scent. "Jedi." He said sharply, the turned to his men. "Squad. fine a suitable rooftop and provide over watch for the droids" Asher then looked to the other Champion "We will deal with the Jedi."

Asher did not wait for confirmation from either the mercenaries, or the other Sith. Rather assuming the order to be done. The half-sephi and a mission of his own. To show those who betrayed him the hell they had left him in. He slipped behind the rubble of a bombed out building. Concealing himself both in the force and in the shadows. Flanking the position of the fallen craft from which he had felt the disturbance.

X3R did not presume to speak for the soldier at his side; he did turn to the militiaman, however, regarding the human appraisingly.

The New Alderaanian's cheerful, friendly expression had hardened to one of stone as he regarded the approaching troops through his electrobinoculars.

"Platoon!" The human called, teeth bared. "Inform the Sith what we think of surrendering!"

X3R immediately hunkered down behind the rubble as a chorus of "Yes Sir!" came from the other members of the militia force. He brought up his heavy blaster rifle, sighting through the scope.

The RPS-6 rocket launcher was an old weapon, theoretically obsolete, but even old weapons could still be useful. At the platoon leader's command, several rocket teams popped up from cover, aiming their weapons and sighting in on their targets. Their spotters set the controls, than slapped the shooters on their shoulders before ducking back down. The rocketeers pulled the triggers on their weapons all almost at once, with a hiss and obscuring smoke could as the rockets left their tubes, nearly a dozen.

The RPS-6 had a useful feature; though intended for use against vehicles, it had the ability to detonate on a timer. With time to set up in the ruins and calculate range tables, the Militia had calculated the necessary elapsed time and distance for a rocket to burst directly above the enemy from a number of points. The missiles sped toward their targets, and if nothing was done to dodge or take cover would burst above them; the militia had not aimed them at any of the Sith or officers present, specifically, but their troops were likely to suffer if they did not act fast.

Ronan barely had time to nod to the other champion's statement before he felt a familiar presence in the Force. He jerked his head around to the advancing militia, squinting, trying to make out any Jedi. Before he could make out anybody, he felt her. Hailee. His insides froze and he didn't know whether he should be angry or not about the rippling murderous feelings coming from her.

Hailee was here. He repeated it to himself over and over, trying to make himself angry. But then, he was always angry. His grip on the lightsaber tightened as his fellow Champion walked off. There was no time to wonder how he had gotten control of a platoon. There was no time to think about why Hailee was here. There was no time to think about why Hailee wanted to kill him so badly.

Ronan marched forward.

She tried to calm herself down, but it was hard to ignore that the Sith' dark presence grew, while she was not yet spying any further Jedi in her near surroundings. When a female droid voice echoed through the strees, her thumb was approaching the lightsaber's activator. It was not hard to tell that the droid was with the Imperials, and it really seemed like the direct combat was about to begin soon. However, she was starting to contemplate a different strategy in this exact moment. She was still in possession of the crimson bladed lightsaber and with her borrowed dark cloak, she could be easily mistaken as a Sith. That was exactly why she still hiding from most of the people's sight, momentarily in a crouched position on a building's roof to which she had climbed up. But she could sense something. The dark presence was way too familiar. But how could that be? Had he been following her?

A shiver ran down her spine while she was trying to swallow the upcoming memories. She could have surely used the pain and all the wrath to draw strength from, but this was not what she had wanted. He might have tried to teach her this particular trick, but she would never let him mess with her again. However, before she could think about it any more, she could here several missiles being launched, which caught her attention at once. She froze where she was, her gaze following the projectiles while they were gliding into the sky. The missiles might have been a short distraction, but soon her rage was back and she couldn't keep herself from starting to jump onto the next roof, right into the direction of this familiar, yet dreaded presence.

“Squads 1-3, move North to grid G-7, Squads 4-7 South to grid E-9. Let them advance, then move to pincer. Outflank a flank.”

The Sith attack was basic enough. Big standard brute-force attack. Guess they figured they could win a battle of attrition, and traditionally that would be the case if they faced an open engagement. But this was urban warfare, and the Sith troopers would have to sweep street by street, house by house, in hostile territory. The Alderaanian militia may not have been the best equipped, but they had a home-field advantage and experience with guerrilla tactics. It would be an uphill battle even for veterans, New Alderaan’s sweeping towers and spiraling building ways, subterranean passages made for excellent choke points, ambushes and counterattacks. Even if they occupied the city it could be blown out from underneath them. This was hardly the first time the planet has seen strife, and after the first Death Star, they where anything but unwilling to fight to a bitter end.

“Hold, drop and ready - engage on contact, weapons hot.”

Whoever was present would jump to, most volunteers simply throwing themselves prone and prepping their scopes. The soldiers among them dug in, doubling up in a variety of vantages to spot the incoming forces. Her instructions where limited by design - the enemy needed to believe that they were pushing a successful offensive on her frontline. Once they surrounded the government complex, the rest of the infantry would have already outflanked their contingent - with the heavy armor battle-groups focusing on their Super-commando Droid’s lineup. Eileen had been assigned last minute as a liaison to military logistics, and though she cursed the absence of other Consulars, the rudimentary comms systems did well to organize a smooth resistance. The rocket barrage would reach their mark soon.

Eileen was crouched, her lightsaber now deactivated but ready - presence hidden as best she could, both physically and with the Force.

Ronan managed to duck out of the way of the missiles as they landed behind them. Not much was damaged or affected. Were the Alderaans trying to keep their conscience intact? They were in battle. There would be death and destruction. There was no escaping that.

Ronan's attention was snagged when he saw a figure in a dark cloak climb up onto the roof. He knew, without seeing her face, that it was Hailee. The hatred and anger radiating off of her gave her away. He glanced back at his fellow champion. "She's mine," he said, his voice almost a growl, his ignited saber pointing at her as she leapt to the next rooftop, closer to him. She wanted a fight? She would get a fight. He had no right to be angry at her for seeing someone else when he himself had fooled around a few days earlier. Why did he care? He didn't. He didn't care. He did not care about her. She was causing him this immense pain, and he couldn't allow her to do it anymore. He never should have let her leave Moraband. He walked forward.

She was still trying to fight the anger off, but it just wouldn't work. Her vision was even growing a little blurry, but she reminded herself that she had to stay focused, otherwise this was attempted suicide. He was angry too. Furious even. She could feel it, and it felt at least a little but like satisfaction. She knew feelings of revenge were wrong and misplaced, but he had gotten under her skin. She hated to admit it, but it was the truth. But that was all over know. They wouldn't both make it out alive.

She rose to her feet, lifting the dark hood while activating the crimson lightsaber soon after. She had grown used to the foreign lightsaber, because unfortunately it had replaced her own for quite a while now. It was still saber. He would realize that as well. She was ready for this last confrontation, ready to face him. He had to be dealt with first, before she would be able to help the people of New Alderaan in any way and it was right about time that this dark chapter would finally come to an end. She was blocking out all that was going on around her, solely facing on him coming closer, while keeling her heartbeat from accelerating even more.

Ronan kept his eyes on the cloaked figure. Even though he knew it was her, when she pulled back the hood revealing her face, his gut twisted and he felt even more angry. It was hard to tell who was angrier. It didn't help when Hailee activated his lightsaber. He paused at the base of the building she was on, and stared up at her. He bent his knees and used the Force to boost his jump up to the rooftop. He landed lightly a few feet in front of Hailee. He tried to smirk but it came out as a snarl. "What are you doing here,"

When she was standing, she could finally see him for the first time. Before, there was just this terrible presence, but once her gaze landed on him, she felt even worse than before. She swallowed hard, her eyes resting on him as he approached her further, staring up from below until he decided to jump onto her level soon after. The blood seemed to be freezing in her veins. Her first impulse was to charge forward and slash at him, but she felt almost paralyzed, not being able to move a single muscle. This was their first time seeing each other again after all that had happened on Moraband and she had dreaded this day like nothing before. While she was ready to kill before, she was not even sure whether she could look at him any longer.

And then he even possessed the audacity to ask her what she was doing here. Her grip around the hilt tightened while she eyed him with a deathly stare. "I could ask you the same" she hissed dangerously, the tension growing to a maximum. Why was she even talking to him? She had no idea what she was doing right now. She knew that it would have been better to attack him right away, as she could have hoped for a slight moment of suprise, but this was a missed opportunity now and it made her even more furious.

Ronan wished he wasn't here. Why had he wanted to come face to face with her? As soon as their eyes met everything that happened on Moraband and on his ship rose to the surface. He had tried so hard to forget everything and distract himself and look how it ended up. Worse than before. He supposed that was karma.

He knew this would go nowhere if they just sniped at each other. Was that what he wanted? Whenever he tried to think about what he would do if given the chance to kill her, his mind threatened to shut down. One step at a time. "Fighting on the side of the Jedi, are you?" he said, his face relaxing, and his voice so suddenly calm. The stare she pinned him with did not scare him, rather it made him angrier. She didn't get to look at him like that.

Unwillingly, her heartbeat was still accelerating. Her heart was mercilessly pounding in her chest, but she could feel herself regaining the control over her muscles back. She knew they were just going back and forth. This conversation wouldn't, lead to anything, and it seemed like they both wanted to talk. Truth was, they might have had a thousand things to say to one another, but none of that came up right now. Why would it even? They were literally standing on a battlefield but instead of fighting for their side, they were standing on this roof, exchanging meaningless words. "Of course. I am a Jedi. Don't let yourself be fooled by the red lightsaber. This one was just a meaningless souvenir" she replied calmy, but her lips were soon graced with a devilish smirk.

She hated herself for wanting to push his buttons even in a tense situation like this since she knew this could end lethally. It immediately felt like they were back on this ship, maybe even back on Moraband. The place, she wanted to forget so badly, but the memories just came back, making her even more angry than before. And even worse, she also knew that she was making him more angrier with every second.

With the two of them, it always seemed to be a game to see who could piss the other off more. So when those words exited Hailee's mouth, he knew they were playing that game once more. He activated his master's saber and waved it in front of him almost carelessly. "Meaningless? Just like this saber I picked out of my master's remains," he said casually. He didn't know exactly why he was saying this. Was he trying to prove something? He stopped waving the saber around. "Just like your death will be when I run you through with it," he continued. Ronan: 1. Hailee: 1.

He took a step forward and swung at her, knowing she would block it. He had trained her, after all. With their sabers pressed together in an X, their faces were much closer, red light from their sabers illuminating their expressions. What have they come to?

Her green eyes remained fixed oh him, trying to literally bore through his skull. Their game had just started and once again, neither would win this way. She was almost glad when he readied his weapon, swinging it at her for the first time. But before he did, he had to comment on it. Of course. Just another empty threat. He was way to sure of winning and she knew that his arrogance would make him lose. Thus, she merely scoffed at his comment, not letting it even scratch her. It didn't hurt her anymore, and she was not the one that was going going lose anyway.

She took a step forward, right after he did, meeting his master's lightsaber with his own, which was more than ironic. She pushed against his saber, their blades colliding mid-air, keeping her stance steady, their faces closer as she wanted them to be. "Maybe you shouldn't have trained me" she growled angrily, but her lips were still graced with a smile. Yes, he had made a huge mistake with that. In one swift motion, she took a step backwards, dodging his blade as it shot forward, because she had suddenly broken their contact, while immediately using a vigorous Force Push that was aiming at throwing him of the roof, hoping that he was not expecting such a direct counterattack.
