I enjoy debating about how the world was created. It makes everyone squirm (including me) :CHappy:

I'm a Christian. All of you should know what my kind believes.

Your kind? Something tells me we don't believe the same thing about creation.

My kind as in Christians as in the world was created by God in 7 days in the way the Bible says.

@Dsar: I like your explanation xD

I believe the term for 'your kind' is literalists?

If so, sin is going to have a field day with you amigo. And while he does that, I think I'll hide behind a rock or something.

Then don't say, "I'm a Christian. All of you should know what my kind believes." I am a Christian too, but I don't take Genesis literally.

Thats an interesting point... Then how do you take it? By chance metaphorically?

Well, you see, i believe in this HUUUGE explosion, causing energy and later matter to expand rapidly. This matter started to clump together, forming stars. Once these first stars were dead, heavier elements came into play, in order to form the planets. Now, around an unassuming yellow, second generation star, the planetary nebula bore us earth. In the bubbling, primordial soup, life began, most likely by comet seeding. From these single cells evolved multicellular organisms, which in turn evolved into more complex beings, ending up with us.

If life got here from a comet, then how did it form initally and why would that be more likely than it arising on Earth?

It's called; "not being a complete twat."

You aren't helping yourself.

Edit: Dr.UN, you ever see the atheism picture? It is rather relevant here, it sums up your point nicely.

I'll see if I can find it...

If there's apoint mocking atheism, don't bother. You'll just be setting yourself up for a barrage of anti-Christianity...

It's not mocking, It's just saying it in a way we all can understand.

And If you hadn't noticed, there is already a constant wave of anti-christian stuff on this site.

But yes, your point is taken.

Ok. Well, post it up, i do need a quicker way to say that to people.

I had noticed there was anti-christianity on this site, and i didn't want to join that, as i have a christian girlfriend, so don't make snide comments.

It does, yeah. He's a smart guy, and he deserves better than someone who hates gay people because an old book tells her to.

So yeah, it does matter. Just like it'd matter if she was racist, despite them both being white.

Racism is hate towards someone over something they cannot control, like their skin color.

But disliking homosexuals is the equivalent of disliking goths, emos, gypsies, and republicans. - Its an ideal, and a life style, it is no where near racism.
