[OOC: open to reactions only]

The news tune plays and a camera moves away from the Crime Watch News logo to pan in to the Zeltron and Rodian anchors. The head-anchor Rynn Run and his beautiful co-ancher Vana Walk... No wait, is Rynn doing the show alone?

Seemingly hosting Crime Watch New from a Coreworld studio again, the anchor seemed healthier than he had during earlier installments recorded from Nar Shaddaa and in the presence of the infamous Preef Callo. "Hello and welcome to Crime Watch News, I am your anchor Rynn Run." what a difference in his tone of voice, too. Rynn actually seemed to be happy. The camera panned out and on the large screen behind the rodian appeared what can only be described as penthouse that was abandoned in a hurry.

"Zaa Fenn Crime Family rumored to have left the planet Eriadu after the Sith Empress kill Preef Callo," he spoke fast as if he was really excited to announce the death of the gunslinging rodian, whose amateurism and bad reading-comprehension levels had dragged down his usually stellar reviews. "Apparently the well-known partnership between the Crymorah Syndicate and the Sith Order has come to an abrupt halt with the death of the Eternal, as the new Empress, Darth Andruil, attacked the syndicate boss on Eriadu."

The implications, although Rynn would never utter them out loud, were ofcourse immense. The Galactic Underworld was a boon if you wanted to keep control of recently conquered worlds, for its traditionally strong presence could swiftly root out those that oppose the new regime, yet if you make an enemy of the criminal elements... well, let's just there's a lot of hiding spots on a planet. "Eye witness accounts state that Preef Callo was yoted out of a window and fell to his death on the tarmac several hundred levels below. His body was in such a bad state that the rodian could only be identified by his jetboots. His legendary peacemaker has not yet been found." the latter comment would no doubt attract many of the late gunslinger's fans to Eriadu to search the streets, for that blaster was as unique and legendary as the one who wielded it.

"We captured the images behind me-" Rynn referred to the images of a hastily abandoned penthouse, "-that very night. It seemed the crimelord of the Zaa Fenn, Marissa Zaa Fenn, has relocated the headquarters of what is still the Crymorah Syndicate's most powerful crime family to-" he pretended to check his notes to emphasize the importance of the name he was about to utter, for it could draw a massive bullseye on this planet, if it was unlucky, "-Coruscant."

- SUDDENLY THE SCREEN FLICKERS AND SHOWS A DIFFERENT SCENE ALTOGETHER -

In one of the ringleader offices behind the Quick-Draw Cantina sat a lone figure that looked eerily similar to the late Vana Walk. The KnowOnes slicer collective had gone through considerable effort to not only takeover the live-broadcast but also encrypt the kriff out of it to make it untraceable. More importantly, they had analysed an immense amount of footage from everyone's favorite Zeltron news-anchor so they could edit the live-footage of Kara to appear life-like as Vana Walk. "Coruscant?" the voice, while similar, sounded nothing like the ever seducing tones of the beautiful Vana, but you couldn't fake everything. "Preef's army of droids is still protecting Nar Shaddaa from the zombies of the very virus that I succumbed to." an eery statement, "No one but him cared to save us from the virus. We've received no vaccines, no aid, and yet he was murdered. Where it the outrage over our fate? Must all of Nar Shaddaa succumb to the virus before the greater galaxy cares?"

Behind her the news topics of late went by. Sith invasions, Senate sessions about the war, Republic bombardments and kidnapped politicians. Eventually it showed only a percentage of 80%. "There lived more people on Nar Shaddaa alone than most of you can fathom. Eighty percent of its population has died from the AMS virus. Billions and billions of zombies roam the lower levels while the upper levels become fewer and fewer."

Fake Vana Walk's voice croaked, "Shame on you all."

- SUDDENLY THE SCREEN FLICKERS AND RETURNS TO THE STUDIO -

Rynn Run looks at the autocue, baffled by what he just experienced. His next topics for today's show had been around ISC president Thorne's kidnapping, if only just to boost the ratings, but right now he felt it could only hurt Crime Watch News. He wasn't sure what to do.. he was always the professional, always the pro and he-

"And on that bombshell, For Crime Watch News, this Rynn Run. Good night, and good news."
