The news tune plays and a camera moves away from the Crime Wach News logo to pan in to the Zeltron and Rodian anchors. The rodian seems enthused by what he is about to announce while the Zeltron, she.. well, she's either spiced high as a kite or completely uncaring of what horrible things are unfolding in the galactic underworld. That smile of hers.. Kriff, that to many men (and women) is as a drug that keeps bringing people back to the Crime Watch News. By the Force she's gorgeous.. unfortunately, its the rodian that's the head anchor on this report.

"Welcome to the Crime Watch News, I'm Rynn Run and this is my co-anchor," he ever so subtly nods towards the Zeltron, "-is Vana Walk." she smiles to acknowledge the audience and for a moment it seemed that even the rodian got distracted from the news he was so enthused to share. But not Rynn Ryn, though, no ofcourse not.. he was a serious reporter who would never try to have a fling with his co-anchor. Hah! That's ridiculous. That picture of them together that he has framed on his wall is just because he thinks they're doing good work.. really!

"Tonight on Crime Watch News we have an exclusive!" Rynn beams as the large screen behind them suddenly shows a large action-shot of the infamous Preef Callo. "Some of you in the Core worlds might only know Preef Zaa Fenn as the gunslinger from movies like 'The Good, The Bad and the Rodian' and 'The Outaw Known as Preef' but the Galactic Underworld now knows him under a different title, too. Namely-" Rynn had been looking out for this since they got the news this morning because quite frankly he couldn't help but be a bit proud of his fellow Rodian. Their species had a fight-fight reflex and were known to become mercenaries, pirates and warmongers. Rynn had been an oddball, going into the news and all, but so had Preef who had proven capable to rise above the yuck of their people. "-Boss of the Crymorah Syndicate. Yes, you heard it right. The gunslinging rodian is rumored to have personally gunned down the former boss, Gori Xaa Hafven, in typical quick-draw fashion and afterwards assumed the role and responsibilities to lead and represent the collection of Crime Families in the Five Syndicate."

Meanwhile the screen behind them was showing a scene from 'The Outlaw Known as Preef' where the actor that looked remarkably like the real deal performed the rodian's signature quick-draw stance and shot a fellow outlaw on the streets of Mos Eisley. That fellow outlaw now represented Gori Xaa Hafven and with the ending of that scene so did the topic as the camera moved away from Rynn Run and settled on the beautiful features of Vana Walk.

"Preef's not the only one whose rising in prominence, Rynn." she winked at the camera in an attempt to give off some female empowerment vibes, but all she did was make millions of viewers want her more, "Marissa Zaa Fenn, the Matriarch of the Zaa Fenn Crime Family rises the ranks alongside her gun-toting partner. Marissa leads the most powerful of the Crymorah Families and with the help of noted muscle has absorbed much of the Xaa Hafven assets. Now that's what I call a beautiful lady!" the only known picture of Marissa showed on the screen behind her and it was a somewhat grainy still of security footage taken a few years ago on Corellia. She had been arrested by Sector Rangers and been imprisoned on Coruscant when the Sith attacked Ranger Command, but the fires had destroyed her mug shot.

The camera returned to Rynn and the screen now showed the ruins of the Ranger Command building on Coruscant. "Now for more local news. After the Sith massacred the entire ranger command and all rangers working in its headquarters here on Coruscant, crime has been on the rise. Many of the recent convictions were built on evidence that was destroyed in that attack and as such many of the planet's criminals were set free. We strongly advise people against going down into the lower levels right now." Vana Walk seemed less concerned and a subtle shrug was noticeable along her signature smile. She clearly liked the adventure. "And definitely don't voice your support for either Jedi or Sith," she casually butted in, in reference to the recent protests against force sensitives rising across the Core."[/color]

Rynn nodded thoughtfully, but he wasn't really lost in thought, for the whole thing was read off of an autocue. "Even the Sector Rangers, after suffering devastating blows by these so-called Sith and losing hundreds of their numbers to the red-colored lightsabers, have been criticized as their Chief pledged his continued support for the Jedi Order." Now both reporters looked at each other in fake confusion, "You're saying that the Jedi, who helped defend Ranger Command against the Sith and rescued the Chief himself cannot be be trusted?" Vana asked in pretend sincerity, "According to mob justice, no you can't, Vana. Some say the Chief cannot look at the Jedi in a impartial way because they saved his life and any investigation into their actions that happens under his watch will be favorable to them." Both now looked at the camera, at the autocue, while the screen behind them showed a still from Chief Hudson's broadcast with the words "Resign" in bright neon red across his chest. "Does this mean the long and successful career of Chief Hudson in the ranger service is at its end? Check with us again next week and we'll let you know!"

"For Crime Watch News, this was Vana Walk and Rynn Run. Good night, and good news."
