Emryc was joined along with some Blackwell executives to discuss the blueprints of factories to set up nearby. While moisture farming had been done for years, the idea of drilling into sandstone to draw out water from underground hadn’t been explored. If successfully implemented, it could give a massive boost to the economy and bring countless jobs to the planet.

He was set up with an office and his own quarters in Anchorhead, his campaigning having drawn huge crowds. He knew he was ruffling the feathers of some local Hutts, but he relied on the Syndicate connections to get them to cooperate as well. Emryc had to keep his trail clean if he wanted to keep up the charade.

The twins had begun to set over the horizon by the time his meeting was finished. Blackwell was bringing in various vehicles and equipment to get started on the massive project. He had convinced the locals to pitch in for the initial investment, having sold them on the potential ROI down the road. For the marketing piece, Emryc wasn’t lying - the initiative truly had the potential to pay dividends.

Emryc said goodbye to the Blackwell execs, making his way back towards the building where he had been set up with an office and sleeping quarters. He popped a cigarra into his mouth, lighting it as he walked. His arm was out of the sling, but it was still stiff and awkward to maneuver. This was the first time he had a chance to be alone and for once he wasn’t surrounded by eager civilians.

Tiamat did not think she could ever watch the Holonet again without seeing some glimpse of Emryc in one form or another. It left her reeling with so many different feelings and uncertainty of how she felt about him in general. At times she felt herself disagreeing with commentators as they analyzed the persona they saw, and other times she found herself criticizing Emryc for some fool-hearted political move. However, what she could not escape from were the feelings of longing: to smell his cologne, to feel his presence, to hear him speak, even if it were to yell at her for her immaturity. There was a bond and if she could severe it, she would, if it meant some peace with her own feelings for him. What seemed to have made it worse recently was she never heard from him since his ship was shot down by a Sith TIE fighter; she knew he survived, but at what cost, she was uncertain.

It was probably not the smartest idea to see him on Anchorhead, she knew he was here on business, it was easy to find, again-the Holonet kept close tabs on him. Her own junker of a ship found its temporary base in the port side of the city and the redhead made her way through the busy streets, asking questions of the infamous Emryc Thorne from locals who might have heard about him being in town. Tiamat found conversation easy, she opted for clothing that matched what the locals commonly wore, lightweight tunics, trousers, and boots. Her skin was covered to ensure she did not burn up from the Tatooine suns and her head covered with a cowl to protect it from not only the sun, but from any sand that was picked up by the desert winds. She did what she knew how to do best: blend in, not to be seen until she wanted to be seen.

It was sunset by the time he was finished with his work with Blackwell, leaving his meeting with executives and taking off alone to return to his quarters for the evening. Tiamat had finally made it to the other end of town shorty before he started his trek to his temporary home, watching him walk and lighting a cigarra to relax. She remembered how he was like when he did not have his smokes. Picking up her step, she eventually caught up with Emryc, falling into step beside him, bracing herself for the lecture that may come from showing up unannounced.

"I think I like you better in a suit than armor." she spoke and stole a quick glance to gauge his unmoving stare.

He didn’t slow his pace even as he sensed that familiar presence. As a Sith Lord, he was far more attuned to the Force, and that was especially true for sensing his apprentice nearby. Emryc kept puffing on his cigarra as Tiamat fell into step beside him. He said nothing for a moment, still gazing ahead as smoke trailed behind him as he walked. The compliment was curious, and he let it hang in the air for a while.

“They gave me a nice executive suite if you need a place to crash,” Emryc said simply as he ashed the cigarra and kept walking. He was using his right hand more now, his dominant left the one that was broken. Every now and then he stretched and flexed it, still adjusting to having the cast off.

His steps took him into the building and the lobby there that was mainly empty. This particular place was reserved primarily for him, the locals around here far too poor to afford it. Emryc walked over to a nearby bar being worked by a droid and sat down. He finally turned to look at Tiamat, smoke pluming from his nostrils as a glass of whiskey slid over to him without him even ordering.

His eyes were as piercing as ever in contrast to the jet black hair, and he had an entirely different air about him in a suit. It was pompous in a new way, and it carried through in the form fitting attire, the modest chrono and of course his trademark cologne, “Are you here by choice or did you get stuck because of a gate?” He wouldn't forget their Lothal misadventure anytime soon. Emryc let the cigarra hang from his lips as he brought up his datapad, idly scrolling through the outcomes from his meetings for the day.

He spoke after letting a silence grow between them; it wasn't in regard to her compliment and instead offered her a place to stay. Tiamat was not concerned as much as where she would be sleeping tonight, she had her ship after all, but his matter-of-fact tone still made it difficult to decipher what he was thinking or feeling. She watched him use his non-dominate hand to flick the ashes from his cigarra, "If you baby it, it won't get better." she said after he gave his left arm a stretch and they walked into the building together. She expected a glare from her comment, but her attention was drawn to the decor in the lobby, noting the drastic difference in quality compared to what she had seen through the city so far.

She removed her cowl, letting it drape over her shoulders as Emryc took to the bar, taking a seat, the redhead followed, feeling a bit underdressed for the credits poured into a place like this. She wondered if this was how the local populace felt also; though there could be some benefiting from what Blackwell was bringing in, she was certain there were others that may oppose to the change. The droid took her order and she received the same glass of whiskey as Emryc, but didn't touch it as she turned to meet his silver eyes. They seemed brighter against his darkened hair, but they were fitting for someone playing politics; she wondered if he enjoyed it, he was a natural leader if he intended or not.

He inquired how she come to arrive here on Anchorhead and she struggled to hide a smirk regarding the gates. Just like herself, Lothal was an experience that would be hard to forget. "Fortunately by choice." she stated, her blue eyes turned to the glass of whiskey that sat beside her, but she didn't pick it up. "I haven't had time to explore more, but I have a few systems in mind that I want to check." Tiamat explained looking back at Emryc as he scrolled through his memos. She opened her mouth to continue, but instead stopped herself and raised her whiskey glass to her lips, taking a small sip that still spread like fire across her lips.

She winced at the taste, finding it still too overpowering. "Should I be worried that they will continue to attack you? There hasn't been anymore attempts since Naboo, has there?" she asked, trying not to sound too overly concerned, while her feelings told her otherwise.

There was no external reaction to her quip about him babying his arm. Instead his mind briefly revisited when he was trying to hit a note with the hallikset and how she took the time to pick up the detail and offer a suggestion. There were little nuances from her that perplexed him, but he wouldn’t venture to mention it aloud.

He glanced up when he saw the whiskey move her way, knowing fully well that she wouldn’t enjoy it. Emryc said nothing, eyes drifting back to the datapad. He was skimming over the supply chain details as she spoke. She would know this was a common habit of his - he could appear entirely distracted but would take in every word regardless. It was off-putting to most, but those that knew him slightly knew better than to be bothered.

Her question, however, caused him to pause for a moment. Emryc glanced up at her again, gazing flatly as usual, “You were worried to begin with?” There was a hint of amusement in his tone before he looked back at the datapad again, “I expect many more attacks. They put me in this hotel not for the luxury, but because of security.”

The thought of Emryc needing security was laughable, but he was committed to playing the role. If he was in a situation a normal diplomat wouldn’t be able to handle, he would act that part regardless of injuries. Emryc took a sip from his whiskey, now switching to a news article that had his face splashed across the front along with some searing headlines. A grin played at his lips as he began to read.

“How was your combat mission?” He paused to ask, scrolling down to another picture of him in Naboo.

Tiamat heard the amusement in his inquiry about her worry and an eyebrow slowly raised as he informed he believed more attacks were possible. To her, she knew he could handle himself in any heated situation, however, she wondered how much he was actually able to under his politician guise. Though with how he was flexing his left arm told her he was more physically vulnerable than he would like others to believe. She just hoped he didn't fall too far into the role he was playing that he became squishy, grey and fat like many of the politicians she had seen over the years.

Her own internal thoughts leaked into a frown that quickly formed as she starred blankly at her reflection in the mirrored wall behind the bar. She propped her chin with her palm as she rested her elbow on the counter, eyeing the high end liquor bottles on the shelf, trying to imagine Emryc growing into a size of a small hutt while he scrolled through his datapad. A pause settled before he asked her about the combat mission, Eiattu.

She let out a long sigh to express her dissatisfaction of the invasion, "I don't think I'm cut out for fighting like some of them." she started, thinking about others who were present who seemed to revel in the thrill of just being in any battle, "It was like a first run through a recital, very awkward, trying to remember where to go, trying to remember your cues..." Tiamat shook her head while still looking at the bottles on the wall, she was slowly turning them around with the Force when the server droid turned its back, causing the droid extra work to turn the labels back to the front.

"I guess it wasn't an entire waste, I learned to bake muffins before leaving." she stated like it was completely normal to bake goods before going off into battle.

Emryc was in the middle of reading an article about how he was a pointy eared demon when Tiamat spoke again.

“You’re not cut out for it in the traditional sense,” He said casually as he kept scrolling. Emryc finally looked up and set the datapad aside, “You think differently and that is how you will always survive. There are different schools of thought among the Sith and you will come to know how diverse they can be,” Emryc operated very differently than most Sith and he knew going on missions and being in the presence of others would let her see the wider spectrum.

He stared at her as he considered her next words. By now the cigarra was done and he put it out. The blank stare continued briefly as he took a sip from his glass, “Where was that skill during the entire time we trained…” He muttered quietly, almost disappointed as he looked away to gaze at the bottles in the bar. He was no chef, but he did like sweets when he occasionally treated himself.

There was a Holo on nearby that had been playing local news. It switched over to Emryc and his rebuttal to the FWA’s senate leak. The half Sephi didn’t glance over, recognizing his own voice. He continued to drink from his glass, face slightly pensive for a moment.

“The Council is made up of Sith that are far more aggressive and overt in nature in the way of expansion efforts like Eiattu,” He said after a long while, “I will let you judge whether you still wish to share your research and discovery.”

Tiamat kept her focus on the bottles as the droid now seemed more paranoid about completing this mundane task over and over without some logical explanation to what was happening. It was amusing to watch as she teased the droid, but eventually stopped when Emryc spoke. It wasn't his usual quick quip and though she did not turn to look at him, she was listening as he recognized her strengths and highlighted the differences that existed among the Sith. Tiamat was unable to disagree with his observation on her ability to think differently. He wasn't the first person to tell her that, but he was the first where she would believe what he said. Her own thoughts drifted for a moment as she reflected back on the Sith she had interacted with so far; at first, it was hard for her to believe that there could be Sith that differed so much it might as well be on another end of a spectrum. Almost an entirely different Order that existed within the Sith as a whole, but if utilized correctly, they would make the Sith stronger and more efficient. Though she questioned if the current council was able to comprehend such concepts; she had over the years developed her own opinions on the matter.

Her train of thought though would be broken when she heard him muttering something under his breath regarding her baking skills and a corner of her lip turned upward in a subtle smirk.

She heard the holo replay a clip of Emryc and she turned to look. While he seemed unbothered by the clip, there was something else on his mind that Tiamat caught as her gaze passed him and then returned. She watched as he took a sip from his glass and waited, breath held for him to speak, but let out a long exhale in a moment's time when he did not. The young Sith begun to play with a lock of her red hair, her eyes softened finding that just being next to him again brought comfort to the longing she had felt.

As Emryc spoke again, TIamat paused, finding a difference in his tone that she couldn't quite place. He too recognized the aggressive nature of the current council using Eiattu as the example. She recalled the invasion with clarity, but his next words surprised her and yet she remained silent. The air felt heavy with such responsibility to decide and it was one she had thought about frequently the further along she went in her findings. It even had been reason she begun to leave her notes and equipment on her ship in fear someone would find it. There was one thing she knew for certain though if she did notify the Dark Lord, and that he would not be satisfied with the work she had done. They would all want more and she knew where her limits resided...for now at least.

"A heavy hand and might can only get one so far." she answered, not attending to the topic of her hypergates, "If the people love you, they will respect you, fight for your cause even if it may be against their better judgement." Tiamat spoke with a tone not even herself recognized; it was certainly more focused and pointed.

She felt herself return to the lock of hair she wrapped around her finger tip as she fiddled with it, feeling out of character for saying or thinking such things. Quickly she moved topics, "Next time I come find you I'll remember to bake something."

Emryc knew his words were controversial, but he would always challenge his apprentice. Every step for her had been through her choice with him showing different paths for her to take. He taught her what he knew, but he also encouraged her to learn about the Jedi. He had his own views of operating, and he lined her up with missions to work with others that did not share them. True knowledge and wisdom came from considering all perspectives.

When she spoke next, it gave him pause. When he looked at her again, she would see something she had never seen on him before - a smile. It was not a fake one from Holo, and it wasn’t one of his cocky grins. It was a genuine smile. It was disarming and gave his entire face a degree of warmth that normally never existed there. The eyes had softened just a bit, silvers melting only a tiny bit.

Tiamat had described the ruling style of Andraste. She began to see the ways most Sith failed to see. The smile was only there for a moment before it washed away, a rare glimpse that was fleeting that suggested he was more than a rock.

“It is a dangerous path to follow,” He said as he took a bigger sip from his whiskey, “It gets the Sith sent after you,” Emryc looked down at his glass. He knew it was only a matter of time before he would have to face the Eternal and explain himself.

Emryc looked at her again when she spoke about bringing baked goods next time. He caught how she was twirling her hair. It wasn’t a habit he caught her doing, and he simply eyed it for a moment. He turned so his seat faced her, vaguely reminded of the very first time they ever met. Emryc grabbed the glass in his left hand this time, easing back in his seat and taking a sip as he looked at Tiamat with a faint grin, “Well you certainly look better now than the last time we were sitting like this. I suppose you still 'need me to enjoy my drink and get you a ride off this rock'?”

Emryc repeated back her exact words from that day. She had barged in with a bloody nose and was completely frazzled that day years ago. It was a different woman sitting across him now. Was he a different man?

Tiamat had noted his brief smile moments earlier but it was not like grins he had given her before. It was one that reflected a part of him she had not seen before, it showed vulnerability and it drew mystery, leaving Tiamat intrigued and wanting more. She wanted to reach out and see it again, however, he commented about path she potentially sought and the danger that laid head. It distracted the girl back to the present and the impact of such unorthodox beliefs. It was something to be aware of, but she wasn't about to lead others in a conquest, she couldn't see herself as a leader; and well for Emryc... she wasn't sure what his plan was as he pranced around as a politician. However what she did know, it left him exposed to attacks and she felt worry even in his protest to such feelings.

Her thoughts suddenly started to spin into what ifs while sprinkled with his smile from earlier, her mind felt fuzzy and she let out a long exhale in attempt to clear her mind. Emryc turn to her, leaning back in his seat, his drink now in his left hand. He commented about how she looked compared to the first time they had met and Tiamat glanced at him, unable to keep a straight face to the thought of their first meeting. She smirked as he quoted her, turning to fully face him, "Actually, I have my own ride now...I could technically give you a ride off this rock." she shrugged and found a new lock of her hair to idly wrap around her finger. "Its a bit of a mess with notes and maps, so I suggest not taking that offer." she added quickly, realizing her standards of tidy was probably not within his own definition.

"I figured you have been so busy, there was no reason why I couldn't come see you instead of waiting for you to find a free moment of your own." she explained, her blue eyes fell to her lap for a moment, she expected his gaze to harden and a lesson to come about patience or the like.

Emryc had no qualms with making people feel as if they were on stage with the way he looked at them. This was no different as he casually sat back and watched with mild amusement as if seated before a live theater. The drink hung loosely between his fingers, his demeanor always a mix of confidence and carefree arrogance. He was far removed from the more intense and overly aggressive Sith that took themselves far too seriously.

He was curious as she explained having a ship and being able to offer a ride. However, the way she described the state of her ship was less than pleasing. He didn’t make a face, but his eyes suggested enough. Emryc silently took another sip from his drink, noting how she continued to twirl her hair. He saw women do that on Holomovies when they were smitten by the hero character. Emryc said nothing about it, though he was thoroughly entertained.

“I won’t have free moments and you are welcome to seek me out whenever you wish,” Emryc said as he finished up the whiskey and snapped his fingers for another. Drinks were stronger here and he could feel a nice buzz coming on. Emryc noticed that now she was here, she had little interest in talking about her research or the gates. As a new glass slid over to him, he swirled the liquid before taking a sip.

“So your entire premise for being here was that you just so happened to be in the area,” Emryc recapped with a deadpan tone, “Was there anything else?” He asked as he tilted his wrist slightly to look at his chrono. He had many irritating qualities, but his directness tended to be both a blessing and a curse.

No lecture came about her seeking him on her time, in fact, she felt lighter knowing he welcomed her presence. She relaxed her hand, suddenly becoming self-aware of how much she was twirling her hair and looked back up. Emryc had ordered another drink and the droid promptly fixed him another glass and turned its attention back to cleaning a glass, one that Tiamat thought it had been cleaning this entire time.

He asked about her purpose and if there was anything else that she needed from him while looking at his chrono as though he had better things to do. She opened her mouth to snap at his arrogance, but paused, "No...I made this stop out of my way because..." Tiamat paused, trying to think of the right words, "because I just wanted to make sure you were ok before I went to investigate the next gate location." she explained not sure how to tell him she was worried about him after the TIE attack without him commenting on her worry for him was unnecessary.

Tiamat fold her arms as she spoke, her blue eyes watched him closely, "I don't know...we should do something together, not like a mission or anything. Something fun? You cannot not have down time." she said shifting in her seat, feeling suddenly warm and unfolded her arms, "Or schedule a down time."

Emryc was still checking his chrono by the time she began speaking. He was wondering what else he had scheduled the next day briefly before glancing back up. He could tell she was struggling with words, and he sat there calmly drinking his whiskey while watching her. Emryc seldom had expectations of how anyone would act or what they would say next, and his face rarely changed as a result. He said nothing on her concern for him, deciding instead to simply let her stew in her own thoughts.

However her next words caused him to pause mid sip. He held the glass slightly tilted, considering her suggestion for a moment before throwing the drink back in its entirety. He set the glass down, meeting her gaze with hints of amusement in his. Emryc glanced over at his datapad, scrolling through it briefly before he put it away.

“I’m free right now,” He said as he rose from his seat. He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders, loosening up the tie he had been wearing, “What do you suggest?”

Tiamat felt herself leaning slightly forward as she awaited an answer. She realized what she said had actually gotten him to pause as he held his glass to his lips. Her blue eyes widened with anticipation when he threw back his drink and set down the empty glass, looking a bit cheery. It was odd to see anything outside his typical gaze, her eyes narrowed as she tried to figure out how he interpreted her suggestion and leaned back in her seat.

Emryc would then stand up, announcing he was free at the moment and asked for her suggestion. She couldn't hid a smile as loosened his tie, finding someone who seemed so serious all the time loosen his tie like some normal businessman after work.

"Right now?" Tiamat wasn't expecting him to be so agreeable and felt on the spot as she tapped her chin in thought, trying to recall what she had seen while walking through the city earlier. "Well, is there any place here you been wanting to visit?" she asked him and stood up also, feeling a bit underdressed compared to his suit and she grinned recalling how underdressed she felt when they had gone to the club for his errand. She pulled her hair over her shoulder, twisting it gently as she walked beside him, "Or if you're hungry, we can get something to eat...or more to drink, maybe get away from any holonet." she frowned seeing the Holo play a tabloid like story about Emryc's political career speculation.

Emryc looked at her as she was seemingly caught off guard by his response. What was it with people always being shocked with his reactions to things? It was something that vexed him often, first with Renfry and also with Tiamat. He stared blankly as she asked him what he wanted to do, his face not giving any indication or preferences. After a moment of silence, he moved back closer to the bar, leaning his elbow against it as he stood there.

“If I recall correctly, you were the one who asked me,” He said smoothly, amusement glinting in his eyes again, “Which means you will decide what we’re doing and I’ll come along,” Emryc flipped the narrative back on her, letting her work through any implications she wanted to assume. He didn’t look away to grant her the mercy of collecting her thoughts.

He had many irritating qualities, but he did have a high amount of patience. He was quite casually leaning against the bar and perfectly content with waiting until Tiamat worked up a plan for their evening together.

Tiamat was still not used to having the control of deciding what to do with others, it was second nature to go along with what others wanted. Any deviation seemed odd and she would study Emryc's agreeableness, who seemed to enjoy this. She wasn't sure what she was so flustered over, it was not the first time did she decided what they should do or where to go. However, this time the stakes seemed higher. Was it her? Or was it him? Perhaps it was something deeper that she was looking to protect. He just needed to keep the façade of a business interest, but for Tiamat, it was like a careful game of chess as she slowly would reveal pieces of herself in his presence.

As he rested against the the bar, Tiamat stepped closer, able to catch a quick hint of his cologne. "You're right, so I did." she kept his gaze and gave him a small grin, "Then, lets go before someone calls you or asks for another interview." she said turning on her heel, her red hair spun with her and she weaved between tables and out into the lobby for the exit. She kept to a casual pace, not necessarily in a hurry as the restaurant she saw wasn't too far from where he had been meeting with Blackwell earlier.

With the twin suns just below the horizon, Anchorhead was starting to look entirely different from the daytime bustle. There was clearly a different crowd and the air seemed more relax as Tiamat looked at all the different lights that tried to attract patrons in the area. It wasn't as overwhelming as the bigger cities, but there was enough to keep any traveler busy and entertained until they were ready to leave.

Emryc was entirely unfazed when she stepped closer. He remained leaning against the bar, propping himself up on his left arm in fact. She could have come as close as she wanted and he wouldn’t budge. She broke first, announcing that they were leaving. Emryc turned and dropped a fat stack of credits for the droid before following Tiamat out. He unbuttoned his suit jacket, loosening up a bit more as they stepped back outside.

He was known in many parts of the galaxy, but this place still allowed him a bit of anonymity. Emryc kept at a leisure pace, a hand in his pocket as he walked and took in the sights. The sky was a beautiful blend of purples, pinks and blues with the stars beginning to appear. The searing heat was finally letting off, allowing for a nice breeze.

Emryc glanced over at the restaurant Tiamat was heading towards, an eyebrow quirking while she wasn’t looking. It wasn’t exactly a low cost affair and he was surprised to find her heading that way. He made no mention of it, deciding to let her do all the leading here.

They were greeted at the front before being led towards the back. Though the hostess looked quizzically between the two different ways they were dressed, she still assumed they were a couple. As a result they were led to a two person table in a cozy balcony upstairs that overlooked the sunsets and the dunes in the distance.

Emryc was thoroughly entertained, but entirely unfazed. He sat down across from her, the last rays of the suns lining the contours of his face. He decided to keep his datapad and comlink away this time, easing into his seat as he glanced at her.

“A bold strategy considering you think I’m a wall,” He said with a grin, “We may have to actually have conversations here.”

It was more impressive on the inside and Tiamat knew the hostess had quickly taken note to how the two of them were dressed. Emryc looked like he belonged here, and she looked as though she belong a few blocks away. Though she was feeling out of place and normally she would have stood behind Emryc to let him take the attention, Tiamat did not move until the hostess directed them to the back and up to the balcony. She paused to see the suns setting over the dunes, noting the blues, oranges and purples that streaked through the sky up above.

Tiamat sat down and watched as the suns' rays highlighted his face, giving him a warm glow to his normally quiet and mysterious aura. He spoke, mentioning she decided on a bold move and she shared a grin. It was certainly a gamble, "I know you're a wall, but sometimes I just need a wall to listen and I will figure it out."

She explained and then watched for his response for a moment before picking up her water glass and taking a sip, "Plus, that wall has a door I am searching for." her tone softened as she felt herself be taken away by the natural beauty of the sunset over the dunes. She didn't allow herself to be caught in a wandering mind and turned back to him, "Where will you be going after Tatooine?" she asked.

Emryc wanted to keep his buzz going and he ordered a drink that wasn’t too strong. It took quite a bit to influence his mind, but even then he wanted to stay classy. A local mixed drink arrived at the table moments later. He glanced at Tiamat as she spoke, eyeing her curiously as she mentioned the door.

“Searching? It’s not exactly hidden,” Emryc grinned as he picked up his drink to take a sip from it. She had his attention now more than usual, frosty silvers locked ahead and on her. He said nothing with his eyes, no hidden meanings, no unspoken words. They were open to interpretation however she wanted, which made his gaze all the more confusing for others.

Emryc’s gaze didn’t shift even if she looked away at the sunset. He quietly sipped from his drink, watching the dying lights of the sunsets accenting the vibrant red locks that framed her face.

“Likely Rodia,” He said as he pondered on his campaign trail, “I’m eyeing that whole region and making a fair amount of traction,” Emryc grinned at her as he took another sip, “Get used to seeing a lot more of me on Holo.”

The waitress came by then and cheerfully looked between them, “Welcome welcome! Are we celebrating anything tonight?!” She looked over at Tiamat with a smile.

She glanced at Emryc as his drink arrived, she was trying to figure out how he was able to even get through one drink while remaining sober enough to keep in control. She was certain if she drank as much as he could, she'd absolutely blackout and the idea of a hangover in the morning wasn't too appealing. Though as her blue eyes flickered back to Emryc's gaze, she paused, catching how he looked at her, she was uncertain of how they spoke to her, but she felt as though it were the first time she had seen them.

Leaning back in her seat, she felt herself relax and then looked back out into the desert not wanting to miss how the suns painted the sands while they settled on the horizon. She found a lock of her hair, slowly turning it around her forefinger while Emryc spoke about Rodia and seeing more of him on the Holonet.

Tiamat glanced back with a small smirk, "I don't think the Holonet can get enough of you." she said as the waitress arrived, looking between the two of them, before inquiring if there was a special occasion. She released the lock of hair and sat a bit straighter in her seat, putting on a greeting grin for the waitress.

"Well...Its my birthday today, so we're celebrating."
