Interest Check Crymorah Faction OOC

After skimming a few of the New Zaa Fenn Family line or story threads with Preef and Kora as well as looking at the additions to the Crymorah Wiki of sub-factions that have been long dead and archived. The theory being it kind of passive aggressively undermines my characters power and authority as the Crymorah Faction Leader. Something I've been working hard to rebuild after returning from my own hiatus. With the encouragement of many other writers here who enjoy the character. I also want to point out that I not only welcomed the person back, but asked if they wanted to do threads to assume some of that power back. Knowing full well why they rage quit. Instead, getting a thanks but no thanks, I don't want it. But clearly that is not the case.

So, to be clear. My character @Covax is the current and ONLY leader of the Crymorah Crime Syndicate. Any and all assets current or previous fall under his/my span of control. I'm happy to coordinate with anyone who wants to challenge this. Or who want to make moves with or against the faction. However any other moves or actions without my knowledge or permission will be considered null and void. This is a general reminder to all syndicate members and especially @Eccles since you are apparently rebuilding and push Zaa Fenn Crime Family without a willingness to work with me.

Got nothing to do with this and dunno the context, but small nitpick, if we go by that rank up you are on the rank 3 equivalent, crime lord. So you aren't quite the leader of the whole Crymorah crime syndicate yet, so the whole Crymorah ain't yours even if you're well on your way to do that, think crime lord was kinda like a whole family like Zaa Fenn was.

I do vaguely recall you going for Zaa Fenn stuff in particular so you're right to talk about this, just wanted to make clear that you don't own the whole syndicate as of yet.

Actually @Versok I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts. As you were one of the people who encouraged me to keep Covax after I was expressing my feeling or retirement. Gareth Gin was/is a interesting character, one I had intended to work with as we discussed before the bounty/raid on ZF. But had my hiatus and didn't work out.

I know you also mentioned wanting to do a story with Covax and get a little revenge. I was open to it, just never got around to the details. I'm just not sure why the need to go around me when I've been more than open and willing to work with other writers looking to do something, anything, to push syndicate stuff.

I never meant to go around you mate, the way my character acted recently had just made me realize he is a bit tired and broken so he won't go to straight up revenge, dunno where I am going with him in fact, not even back to syndicates in general, I am just making things up as we go, I am fine with an interaction but we would need to figure out how it would go.

First off, welcome back. Second, you don't nee to change a thing. The problem is others who are still salty. Ignoring an olive branch to work past old drama.

Instead ignore the rules we all agree to by writing on this site. Undermining the rank I earned same as they did before retirement/ quitting.

As I've clarified in DM to @Taz:

"I'm only writing the remnants of the Zaa Fenn Crime Family and have no intention to move against him for the position of any role of leadership within the Crymorah Syndicate."

To pay proper homage to all the roleplay that has been done in the Crymorah Syndicate by dozens of players over the course of this timeline, I added the known sub-factions to the databanks. I made sure to state that the Zaa Fenn was power- and assetless to avoid this kind of conflict.

This is not a slight to @Taz personally, but rather a continuation of sitecanon regarding this faction. However, I will not deny that I personally avoid interacting with him because I still feel some resentment over the events that forced me to leave the forum a year ago. I will not reiterate the IC reasons I had for opposing the Crymorah takeover and leave it at that.

Staff made clear he is the Syndicate boss and all Crymorah assets are his. I came back, saw the Zaa Fenn members are bounty board targets, knew of characters still active or alive that had been part of the sub-faction, and wanted to give it a proper continuation as an exiled faction, on the run and hiding in Hutt space.

I've never been someone to acquire fleets and armies. My threads are meetings and small jobs. My intended endgame is for my character Kara Lok to get adopted into the Zaa Fenn Crime Family and becoming Kara Zaa Fenn, after which I could retire Preef for good and finish a storyline you have all been reading for three years and many -including @Taz- have helped me write. Most of you will remember my dislike for having a character be the Syndicate Boss as it forced me out of the kind of stories I enjoy writing.

So to recap:

1) Databank additions are to pay proper homage to sitecanon regarding the faction
2) I'm only roleplaying remnants of the Zaa Fenn Crime Family
3) I have no desire to take back the Crymorah Syndicate

We've often compared the Crymorah Syndicate to the Italian American Mob. The Crimelord of the Zaa Fenn Crime Family was a member of the Commission (which comprised the crimelords of several crime families). Covax has gone scorched earth on the Zaa Fenn due to the events of Mon Cal and they've not only lost their seat at the table, but are on the run from other members of the Mob and the authorities. IRL these mobsters, while on the run, often sought refuge with other criminal factions oversees. The Zaa Fenn is doing the same thing in Hutt space and so far has cost my characters most of the fortune they acquired over the course of their roleplays.

My apologies to @Taz @Tulos @Versok @Kestrel @Nor'baal @Zay @Phoenix if my intentions as described above didn't come across as such.

@Eccles you did mention the bounty board stuff. However were not as clear with the rest of it as you were juat now. I came to you in DM wanting to pick your brain about this very thing.

Instead you gave me the cold shoulder and went around me to add stuff to the faction write up that i would of had no problem with had you just told me. Something anyone else would expect if they were a faction leader.

I get your still salty, i know your reasons both IC and OOC. I tried to make amends for what you believe to be my part of those reasons. You don't want to and that's ok, i get it.

However it would have been nice if you had shown me the same respect as I tried to show you in at least the earlier times of you being a FL. Which I believe I did.

I appreciate your clarification now however. You worked hard to build ZF and you have good stories. Wish you the best with it and in your return.

If you all just bent the knee to the Hutts, this would all be avoided.

It's good to see activity again across a the Cymorrah, and I'm glad Ecclescake and Taz have sorted out what seems to be a set of miscommunications combined with past disagreements.

Perhaps I'm a bit confused on the whole databank thing, then..

I simply noticed that not the entire Crymorah Syndicate blurb had been copied in, so I did that with the addition of planets they'd been active on as it did on the original. It was my understanding that its a community wiki and since it wasn't an addition that changed anything I wasn't aware I wasn't allowed to do it or that it was disrespectful to do it.

Honestly, I'm a bit taken aback about the accusations. I told you that I'm not in a place where a "let's thread and collaborate" message makes me forget that you refused to collaborate with me back when I was standing to lose everything I build over two years. I said in my other post that I would rather not reiterate the reasons that made me leave the last time.

I also gave you a heads-up over PM that I would be writing the Zaa Fenn remnants and that I had no intention to move to any leadership position in the Crymorah Syndicate. That was me being open, fair and respectful -- not letting any resentments influence the OOC or IC. I don't seem to remember you giving me the same courtesy in any of our dealings when I was still the faction leader. Stuff like leaving the faction unannounced, repeatedly claiming IC-accomplishments despite being told your char didn't earn them and then returning to take control stating you were the highest ranking character of a faction you weren't even in.

Now, I can accept all these things as being in the past. Staff made a decision and I respect that decision regardless of whether or not I agreed with it.

I want to write stories in my own bubble with the people I like to write with. If Staff thinks that it is best for me to drop the Zaa Fenn entirely to avoid misunderstandings in the future, then I will also respect that. I'd only ask the opportunity to finish threads that I've already started.

If the way I've worded any of the above comes off as (passive) aggressive then I'd like to blame it on the fact that English isn't my first language and the dutch have a way of communicating that seems to be seen as direct or rude by other cultures. It is not my intention to accuse anyone of anything, but I felt like I had to defend and justify my actions and I hope I've given everyone some insight in this post.
