EQUIPMENT

DESCRIPTION
The Curich-class shuttle is a medium transport ship manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems and originally designed for the Galactic Empire. Designed for low-priority cargo and personnel shipping, the Curich saw use primarily in rear echelon areas. As a result, a decent number actually survived the fall of the Empire, and many remain in service with various operators to this day.

The Curich-class shuttle is 54 meters in length, with a crew of 3 personnel and space for up to 47 passengers, 300 tons of cargo and 2 months worth of consumables. Although it is armed, the Curich's single dorsal turret only mounts a pair of heavy blaster cannons, fairly light by spacecraft standards. The ship is sluggish, with a top speed of 40 MGLT.

Despite their shortcomings, Curich-class shuttles are still relatively widely used. Making ample use of the Sienar parts been for their systems, they are fairly easy and cheap to repair, a fact which has allowed many to have long service careers, especially with independent spacers and small cargo fleets.

LEGALITY
Legal. Shuttles such as the Curich are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems.

INTENT
To bring a vessel from canon into our site's fanon.
