DESCRIPTION
The D3-NB series droid (also shortened as 'D3' and nicknamed 'Deneb'' is designed by Newton Arden under the banner of Blackwell Technologies' droid works branch Blackwell Automata after the re-emergence of the Sith Order. This droid is a general purpose combat droid, capable of filling in niches as a battle droid in addition to law enforcement and security. This droid model was designed to be sold by whoever has the need/want and credits to do so in the wake of the emergence of the Sith.

The D3-NBs droid moves faster and is more agile compared to droids such as the YD-series, not even taking into this account this models' integrated jump boots, which are equivalent to the armor function. The D3 also has a mounted retractable stun baton built in it's right arm, to either use when forced in hand-to-hand or to use as a back-up non-lethal weapon. The D3-NBs has improved tactical intelligence, knowing how to leverage cover better, knowing when and how make use of it's built in functions like jumpjets (for instance, to jump forward in pursuit, or to get away from striking distance of bladed weapons). The D3's combat routines are programmed to use all manner of small arms such as blasters as well as melee weapons with effectiveness. The durasteel plating provides protection on par with armor.

One little-advertised feature is that when the droid would be subdued, rendered inoperable, or destroyed, the droid will attempt to fry it's memory core, rendering anyone unable to retrieve data from it; a benefit for secretive individuals and/or organizations, although it's not perfect at doing so.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Being combat models, D3-NB series droids require special permits and licensing for ownership in most regions.

INTENT
To be a higher up droid model compared to the baseline combat droid the (the Y3 for example) but not as powerful as the IG-89 (so use as NPC use is possible) and doesn't scream 'illegal' as it and other more powerful droids. Also to add to Blackwell Technologies' arsenal of tech in the roleplay and to add to my character Newton Arden's as a droid engineer.

RESTRICTIONS
Nuuupe
