DESCRIPTION​

Designed and manufactured by Drommund Kalakar's small arms specialists, the DA-34 is the Sith Empire's newest stock sidearm. Issued to everyone from Peacekeeper officers to front line soldiers, its size and reliability power it's quick replacement of older mixed models.

The angled pistol grip is comfortable while allowing accuracy, with slim power/gas packs inserted upward into the grip. Rather than anything too complicated or expensive to manufacture, the barrel shroud and casing behind it contain a basic long-form cooling system to efficiently vent heat. The extra width for the relatively short barrel allows new galven circuitry, giving it surprising range for its size.

A fire selector switch between safe, lethal, and stun is present above the while the power pack detach button is just behind the trigger.

Its slim profile makes for comfortable carry and concealability for different professions. Even spare power packs, long and slim by design, can be stored along with it. While reliable even in muddy conditions, clogging the heat vents in the barrel lowers its lifespan. Luckily the entire barrel assembly can be removed and replaced quickly using the maintenance kit if necessary.

A common sight particularly on Imperial worlds on the belts of Peacekeepers or other local law enforcement or defense forces, the DA-34 has been popularly reviewed as "barely even there" in terms of all-day carry weight by those who use it.

LEGALITY​

Legal. Ownership of blaster pistols is not restricted in most of the Galaxy. However, as a Sith-made weapon it's likely to draw unwanted attention.

To introduce a Sith-specific standard blaster pistol.

This weapon is only, by default, available to members of the Sith Empire.
