(Open to all Jedi/FWA/NR/Not Sith)

Xeno was fighting on Felucia one moment and asleep the next. Waking up from his long slumber he found himself strapped into a chair. He only knew the chair was for interrogations. Whether or not he attachments on the chair were going to be in use during the "questioning" was not necessarily what he had been worried about. No, he had looked around the room and noticed something wrong. Something missing.... his hand. The left hand of the Zabrak had gone missing, oh no, he remembers. He remembers that during the fight, he had lost the hand to a very recognizable Jedi. Isen Ramm.

It had been what seemed to be hours alone in the room with only his thoughts. He was annoyed that he had been stuck in the chair alone. The only thoughts that continued to play in his head were his failures. Losing his fight to the three Jedi that had come to attack him. Isen Ramm, Sevrin Valtiere, and that treacherous Dathomirian woman. He had been looking for her name, but he could not figure it out. She had a familiar voice from his childhood. She had familiar look, but he couldn't remember her at all. To avoid thinking on it too hard he would began to call out to the ones who have him imprisoned.

"HEY!! At least have the decency to be in the room when I am in this chair."

It took a few moments for any sort of response, though all Xeno could see and hear would be the doors in front of him open.

Shuffling steps would be the fist to answer his calls. Rupert had departed to take a nap and rest his tired eyes. But that.. that was some hours ago. A man devoted to peace, Rupert had also known this part of life. He had been out of, and in, the chair.

"Easy young one, you will tire yourself out long before you should, should you scream loud enough to raise the dead." Hed say in a tired voice, one laden from centuries of service to the Jedi or to other causes. The Morellian Jedi would briefly check the devices keeping the Siths power from surfacing.

Clad in his 'Pajama Bandits' robe, fuzzy slippers, and a gentle smile, he was every inch the feared interrogator. Shaking hands from age would trace over a rather aged roll where various tools used for extraction sat. "Tell me, Master Sith.. are you one of those that love pain? Or love inflicting it?" Some easy questions to start before the rest arrived. There were more than a dozen ways to break a man.. it often came down to if they wished for him to be fixable afterwards that decided the route.

Felucia had yielded a captive. An unknown Zabrak Sith who had the misfortune of meeting Sevrin. The Rangers maintained a black site on Dantooine and had off loaded the Sith to the most secret of prisons. Jedi were not jailers. The Order had not even known the abandoned base exists. Dantooine housed a small Jedi Temple that paled in comparison to Yavin and was sparsely staffed. Alex had arrived at that temple to be escorted straight to the Ranger prison. When she arrived she was met by a fresh horror. Their Sith guest was properly sedated but strapped to a recognizable device. Alex frowned. This was unlike the Rangers, and she would not have it.

The Morellian Councilor marched right into that room. Her eyes snagged on the elderly Jedi Rupert. Who let him out of the Temple? “Jedi Rupert.” She nodded. The Force filled Alex and ripped the many scary metallic arms off the chair. Every identifiable instrument of torture went sailing into the walls. The Sith remained with a stun collar and active sedation, but he was no longer strapped to a torture device…it was just a chair. The room was devoid of cameras thankfully. “We do not use such methods.” Her eyes focused on the Sith. Her face should be recognizable. “However, I suggest you answer Jedi Rupert’s questions.”

Alex had a long list of responsibilities, but she would not see a prisoner physically harmed.

Looking directly in front of him at the door, he could see an older man, looking senile. The man shuffled in with a set of what looked like tools. This is what they send to torture me with? Pathetic.. Xeno was simply going to ignore the man, he clearly wasn't important, otherwise he would've not been the first to enter the room. The Zabrak instead, would lean his head back as he listened to the old fart in pajamas speak. Then there was the question. Xeno was slightly annoyed by this, and was going to give response but before he could the doors opened again.

In came Alexandria Voran, Jedi Master. He knew her face well enough. She would be worth speaking to, though he knew he wouldn't say anything that would give her pleasure. She would make her power strut forward as she decided to break off all of the torture devices attached to the chair. A very dumb decision, they would need that after what he's been through.

"Foolish decision Jedi.."

He looked the woman in the eyes. His yellow eyes full of hatred would beam right into hers. Then he would look back at the man on the verge of death by age, and look him up and down before deciding he wasn't going to speak to him. No instead of speaking Xeno would spit at the man. The Zabrak wasn't going to incriminate himself for the amusement of the Jedi. He knew they would try to play games and get him to slip. Though it won't be that easy.

"Next question.."

Of all the Jedi to send for interrogation, they had sent the bleeding heart. Yet Rupert knew she stood on mucky ground, as it was well known what she had done to the last Sith they captured. To push it further, she ripped arms from a bed not used for torture, as the tools had been on the roll on a table. Foolish. Very foolish. "I figured he would find physical pain to be preferable to making him think he was a seven year old gir in a tutu for the rest of his life, or melting his brain." He mused to the Councilor.

As the sith spit, Rupert lifted a hand to redirect the glob back into the siths eye. "Foolish, answer the question." The boy was a fool if he thought they didn't know who the enemy combatants were on different worlds. They may not have known all the names, but they knew the faces. "You can use your words to answer, or we can delve into your mind for the answers, or we can make your body react for the answers. The option to speak, young one, is for you to spare yourself any of the pain along the way. So, I ask again, are you the kind that like to endure pain? Or inflict it?"

Amos McCord was a patient man. Although he was one of the most capable psychoanalysts in the Sector Rangers, he knew that the Jedi would be given priority when it came to questioning the captured Sith. He had questions for the Zabrak- a lot of people did, it seemed, with varying degrees of urgency attached to them- but the presence of two Jedi in the room would distract from his questions, so Amos was content to wait. He would simply observe the proceedings through a one-way mirror, nursing a thermos of tea. He had no idea how long the Jedi planned to question their captive; perhaps Jedi Rupert would have yet another birthday before they were done. The Ranger didn't mind waiting. Amos McCord was a patient man.

The old man had returned the favor of spitting on Xeno. Though this one spit at Xeno's eye. Lucky for him the Zabrak reacted quick enough to close his eye before it got to hit his face. It was disgusting yes, but he had expected this at the least. Being defenseless wasn't ideal but he had no other options. Now he had only one eye open as he glared in anger. Xeno would have tried using the force, but the restraints on his arms were keeping him from being able to wield the powers of the force.

"You Jedi scum really think I'll just play 21 questions? If this is your idea of interrogation then be my guest. I only attack those who deserve it. You Jedi are the scum of the galaxy. You talk about being better than us. Look at who holds the most ground. Who holds the most power. Who has the most cunning warriors. Your own Knights can't even fight with honor, what makes you think you are better than me? Our Sith have been able to win over planets without even lifting a lightsaber. We speak with them and they join willingly. You come in and attack innocent civilians of Felucia just trying to make a living. A living that was provided by the Sith. Yet... we're the bad guys. I will have you know.. when they come for me. You best be on the way out, because I will come for you."

Xeno glared with her yellow eye into the eyes of Master Voran and the raggedy man next to her. He had been fed up with the Jedi and knew their games. They would ask incriminating questions, and then try to make the Jedi sound better than the Sith. He wasn't going to let this slide. Instead he chose to shut them down as soon as possible. You take away their moral high ground and then they crumble. A good Jedi is a dead one, as they only care about spreading their views, not help.

"By the way.. I don't remember Jedi to be hostile when not in immediate danger.. maybe the old one has gone too senile to be a part of the order.."

The Zabrak turned to see the mirror. It was add that their was a mirror just sitting in an interrogation room. It must be a window on the other side. Common knowledge let's anyone know exactly that. He unfortunately hadn't mastered force sight quite yet. So it was unknown to him how many people stood on the opposing side, though he could feel a presence behind the glass. This much he knew. Life stood behind it. They watched as the Marauder was strapped to the chair and made prisoner to Jedi of all people.

The presence Xeno felt on the other side of the mirror was Jaesa. She'd met Xeno on Felucia and it seemed neither had been able to shake the disturbing feeling that they knew one another. As they'd been fighting though, Jaesa had chosen not to dwell on it. Even after she helped to strike him down, she had not paused to consider who he was. Only now, behind the two way mirror, was she concentrating on trying to remember who this was.

For now though, she remained watchful behind the glass. A small mic within the room allowed her to hear what was going on.

(OOC Note: Forgive me pushing in, but the thread appears to have stalled. Writing in a break for the Jedi so that Amos can participate, but if you have more questions please just hop back in :) )

Amos watched the proceedings calmly, nodding quietly in greeting as another Jedi Knight joined him; a woman about the same age as the captive Sith. The Jedi questioned the Sith for some time before exiting the room. Amos doubted the Jedi were finished questioning the Zabrak, especially given the... uncooperative... nature of their captive, but that did mean that it was Amos' turn. Out of respect for the Sith, Amos waited ten minutes before entering in order to allow Xeno a break of his own. No doubt the Sith had his guard up, and Amos knew that could be mentally taxing; rest was important, even for those he disagreed with.

At the end of the 10 minutes, Amos would enter the room. He was dressed in a grey sport coat with a dark blue button-down shirt. He wasn't wearing a tie today, so the top button was loose. Amos appeared slightly tired, as he always did, but his presence was one of quiet sincerity. He held only his thermos, and he smiled pleasantly at Xeno before grabbing a chair and setting it just to Xeno's left- a less threatening and more conversational position than the stereotypical "sitting across a table" BS that the holos had popularized.

"Hello there" Amos said, his voice quiet and pleasant. "I don't think I caught your name. I'm Amos, and you are...?"

Alex watched the events carefully unfold. The Sith was what she expected. All virulent rage and petulant screaming. Manat had been a curiosity, Asminys a powerful terror. They were creatures of the Darkside. They were the Jedi’s eternal enemies but both Sith earned a measure of respect. Manat for her unconventional beliefs and Asminys for his strength. The little red Sith was everything she expected. The stereotype comes to life. How trite. She would have difficult work ahead. Jedi Rupert’s tactics were silly and growing number of questioners was unhelpful. They needed resulted…quickly.

The Morellian Jedi was glad for the break when it came. Their group was getting nowhere, and a change would perhaps soften the Sith. She watched the Ranger closely. The path opened swiftly before her in the Force. Her eyes swept the remaining allies in the room. “Wait.” Alex plunged into the Force. The Light blazing in her heart. She quickly walked back into the room, leaning against a wall. Good cop, bad cop. It was cliché but all cliches held some kernel of truth.

“Screaming and yelling won’t make this end sooner.” Alex began to press on the Sith’s mind. Yes, he did not have Manat’s protection or Asminys’ strength. Should it be necessary, she could overwhelm him. He had to know that. “You can answer Amos questions, or I can take them from your mind. We will know if you’re lying.” She did not relish traveling into that mindscape, but sacrifices must be made for the war effort. Alex could come down from her pedestal when required.

Typical.. good cop bad cop. How far do they really expect to get with this? It was foolish to think it would work on him. He may not have been the smartest of the Sith or the strongest, but he stuck true to not giving in to the Jedi. The question given by the man that had entered the room was fairly easy. Xeno would stare at him. Simple questions like this were unusual. The Jedi don't care about who they are speaking to any longer.. they can't even fight their battles without help. So when Xeno was asked what his name was it caught him a little off guard. Though his facial expression had not changed, he looked the man in the eyes with anger and then said,

"Xeno.."

If the Jedi expected his life story then they were sorely mistaken. He was not going to give anything more than asked, if he even feels like speaking. Though this time he would cooperate. No one asks him his name anymore.. they just label him 'Sith, Freak, Zabrak' and other names. The question given was enough to make him wonder why they wanted to know though. Hopefully soon he finds out why.

"The Jedi couldn't get the job done right so you had to step in?.."

Then the Zabrak muttered,

"So this is what the Jedi have come to.."

He scoffed at the thought of the Jedi having to bend the knee to the FWA. He thought it was amusing that the glorious Jedi Order have come so low that they can't even control the interrogation of their own prisoner. Hell, he wasn't even in the Jedi cells. He had been locked up in the FWA Ranger's prison. Pathetic..

The Zabrak- Xeno- calmed down a bit, although it was too early to tell if that was because the Sith was cowed by the Grandmaster's threats. Clearly, Xeno held a massive grudge against the Jedi Order, which might make the whole 'pleasant conversation' tactic difficult to implement. Nevertheless, he had to try. Ignoring the less-than-subtle barb from the Sith, Amos calmly sipped from his thermos before speaking again.

"Xeno" he said, making sure to use the Sith's name. "I am not here to ask questions for the Jedi- instead, I am here to help answer yours." Amos paused a moment to let that statement sink in; this was hardly a typical interrogation tactic but then again, this was hardly your typical prisoner. "Much has happened in the last several hours, and you spent most of that time drifting in and out of consciousness. I will answer as truthfully as I can. What do you wish to know?"

Tapping along down the corridor of the base, HK-24 had been on site for several days, part of a new shipment of a 'Protocol Droids' which had been delivered earlier on in the week. The droid had been on the trail of a member of the Order who had, for a reason HK did not care for, upset a mid-level crime lord in the outer rim. So far, it had been a dull mission, insufficient flayings, and a complete lack of disintegration. Indeed, for nearly 12 hours he had been standing in the corner of his favourite room - the interrogation chamber.

HK had clocked it the moment he had arrived.

What sort of self-respecting Droid would not clock a state of the art interrogation chamber? So there he had stood, the droid everyone ignores, mop in one hand, cleaning bucket in the other. He had been delighted when the locals had bought in a Sith, thrilled at the prospect of torment and flesh rending - but alas, that goody-two-shoes in the robe had shut that avenue of delight down in an instant.

Spoilsport.

But as the interrogation had gone on, this Sith had been less than cooperative, and so HK decided that this, this was his moment, his time to shine. As the Sith stopped talking, he dropped the bucket and mop with a loud clang, and stepped forward. "Might I be of assistance, Master Jedi? I am HK-24, a protocol unit, repurposed for advanced interrogation techniques." he lied, yet thankfully, he doubted anyone would be able to tell - as far as he knew, Jedi could not read the minds of an inorganic with the force.

He walked toward the tied up Sith, circling behind him, a proven method of intimidation when faced with an emotionless interrogator.

"Allow me to provide my services and analysis of the present situation, carbon-based life forms. This one is deluded, clearly, and - he speaks to much." he tapped a metallic finger on the top of the prisoners head, as he concluded his circle around the man, and moved his face closer to is. He felt the Zabraks breath on his faceplate, and - had he been able to - would have smiled.

But alas no, the maker had left him without a motive orifice.

He simple stared impassively into the man's eyes. Zabrak sloshed around like other liquid-based life forms, 70% water, they made an actually distinguishable sloshing sound when they moved, you could hear their fluids moving inside their fleshy carapace. Had he been capable, HK would have retched. Truly, organics were vile creatures.

"Do you think anyone will care if you die?" he asked the man, rhetorically "Will the name 'Xeno' be spoken of on Korriban? On Dathormir? Or will you pass unremembered, known only to this Unit as the flesh bag that screamed, and begged, until the end?"

He moved his face back away from the prone man, and lifted his right hand.

"I am fluent, in over six-million forms of pain." he punctuated his point, as he collected a rude looking knife from a sliding compartment in his leg "Would you like know to more?" he asked, without a hint of emotion in his monotone voice.

The man before him asked what Xeno had wished to know. Like really mattered? The answers Xeno has been seeking would not come from any other person in this room. No he didn't seek anything they could offer. Instead of answering the question he would look directly into the Ranger's eyes and just glare with his anger. Nothing would make Xeno happier than killing these worthless individuals in this room.

Then a droid came in.. Xeno hated droids, as they serve no other purpose in life than their programming. All it would take is the battery to malfunction and then their gone. The Zabrak's attention turned to the droid as it just started having a malfunction moment and started to do it's own thing. These Ranger's and the Jedi need to learn how to keep their equipment and property under wraps. This thing thought it could just do as it pleased to the Zabrak. Amusing.

"May I ask why your cleaning droid is somehow a prodigy in torture? Perhaps you don't have as much control as you think you do, Ranger.. and you Jedi. What happened to not using such methods? Change your mind so soon?"

It was amusing how terrible this interrogation was going. Torture to no torture, then to be nice, then right back to torture. If only his fellow Sith could see this, it would make headlines.

"Droid.. you cannot do anything to me that hasn't been done already I dare you to do your worst. As for the rest of you, this inanimate object has proved to make more progress than any of you combined as it has successfully made a threat. Pathetic what the rest of you have come to.."

Amos set down his tea as, much to his dismay, a protocol droid entered and immediately began threatening Xeno. A quick glance at the Grandmaster confirmed his suspicions- the droid didn't belong to the Jedi, either. Amos had no idea where the droid had come from; protocol droids weren't an uncommon sight in interrogations owing to the vast number of languages spoken throughout the galaxy, but this one was acting strange. This would not do. "Stand down, protocol unit" he said sternly, rising out of his chair and interposing himself between the droid and the Sith. Perhaps that was a bad idea, seeing as the former was wielding a very sharp knife, but Amos was not about to let this interrogation be de-railed by a bloodthirsty droid. "Report to central for reprogramming and memory wipe. You are dismissed."

"Report to central for reprogramming and memory wipe. You are dismissed." HK heard the words omit from the curious looking humans face-hole, and did not understand them. Why was he, one of the state-of-the-art torture units available, being dismissed from a room so obviously intended to complement such an undertaking? With such an uncooperative subject as Xeno, the only logical course of action was to temporarily half the interrogation and apply some more direct measures to loosen his tongue.

"I'm afraid that would not be optimal." he responded, in his trademark monotone voice, before refocusing his attention onto the subject of today's entertainment - the prone Sith who had encouraged him to 'do you worst'. A confusing statement, for HK-24 intended to quite the opposite.

He would do his best, of course.

"A curious statement, this unit has no intention of performing badly. Regardless, my understanding of the current situation is that the information we need is stored in your organic matter memory processor - the 'brain'. We can either reduce your mental barriers by means of physical motivators, allowing the Jedi to access what they need, or we can do my preferred method, anaesthetize you and remove the subject organ entirely, and gather the information we need in another way."

HK turned to face the Jedi Master, who was clearly in charge and asked with just a hint of excitement in its voice "Master Jedi, would you prefer me to commence a lobotomy of the subject, or to undertake the seventeen cycles of Haradan nerve splicing?"

She had once lived a fairly simple life. Her days spent tending to the downtrodden of the Outer Rim. It was an excuse to hid from responsibility, but it had been a good life. Now, Alex increasingly found herself in situations like these…wondering what in the name of the Force was going on. A random amalgamation of characters was rotating through the room. None of them were getting anywhere. She did not sigh, much as she wanted to. Alex was courteous, if nothing else. The Sith continued to spit needless venom. She was beginning to suspect he knew very little. Still, she needed to be certain.

“Ranger McCord, HK unit, I believe Xeno has made it clear he does not wish to answer our questions. We should respect that choice. There is no need for physical intervention.” The Force burst alight in Alex. She would not cross that line she ran past with Asminys. The Sith was not an equal to the Sith Lord. He was not an equal to Manat. “Give me a moment HK.” She focused her eyes on the Sith. The Force began to press on his mind. In his drug addled state, and the strength she brought to bear, it would be difficult to resist. “Which Lord of the Sith do you serve?” She pressed harder on his mind. “Please answer the question.”

If Xeno failed to answer, she turned her full attention to piercing whatever mental barriers he could manage. She would learn what information the Zabrak possessed. Whatever it may be. Most helpful, would be his interactions with the various self-styled Darths. The more they learned of the quiet interactions of the Sith Lords, the better.

Amos briefly pursed his lips; the only outward sign of displeasure he would allow. Like it or not, this was the Jedi’s prisoner and he was their guest- although he’d prefer to question Xeno with the help of Councilor Voran, this was definitely a case of “too many Gundarks”. While not implicitly stated, the Jedi’s wish to clear the room was not lost on Amos. Regretful, but necessary; the oddly hostile protocol droid was only complicating matters, and Amos conceded that he himself might be getting in the way as well.

“As you wish, Master Jedi” he said, with a respectful nod in Alex’s direction. Before leaving, Amos turned to take one final critical look at the Zabrak. Xeno had thus far reacted with anger and scorn, emotions which Amos often knew were rooted in fear and spite, respectively. They burned bright like a fire, but could quickly consume their fuel and leave their host an empty shell of themselves. How much had Xeno’s anger cost him? His hand, his freedom… and perhaps his sanity. The Zabrak had made many choices, several of them bad ones, that had led to this moment- but Amos was a firm believer that it was never too late to change one’s future. If given time, perhaps he could make some progress with Xeno, but time was the one thing Amos did not have right now.

“Xeno?” the Ranger said quietly, pausing at the door. His voice carried the weight of over a decade of experience as a counselor and therapist. “There is more strength in humility than you think.” With that, Amos would leave the room, beckoning for the strange droid to follow.

It finally seemed to be that the Jedi, Ranger and even the droid were not going to crack the Zabrak. As expected, he was much too strong for them. They were insignificant diseases in the galaxy. He knew they never stood a chance. Especially when they were all bark and no bite. It was honestly a little disappointing to see them giving up on his interrogation. The closest thing to danger he had received was the HK unit.

When the man had began to leave with the droid, the Jedi had another question. Though this time it was different. Nothing about where anything or anyone was. Or anything really important. It was a question regarding which Lord he served.. it was very technical. Hard to explain exactly what Xeno had go through his mind at that exact moment. A large fluster of memories and thoughts ran through his mind. He felt them being pulled, as if the Jedi were trying to take them. Trying to reach through his brain. If Xeno hadn't stopped to think about the question, she might not have been this close to pulling them through.

What Lord do I serve? Well.. I guess.. none. Xeno had began to remember that none of the Lords had been keen to his presence. Tiamat had expressed her discontent of Xeno clearly enough, and Raze had damn near killed him. Andruil hadn't spoken to him or approached him ever. Stolas.. well.. let's just say Stolas wouldn't like him anyway. The only one he would fall under would be the Eternal. If the Eternal was still in charge while he is locked up.

"What Lord I serve?"

He looked down with a feeling of defeat within himself. Though his face would remain in expression of anger.

"I don't serve the Lords... I'm not.. They don't.. I serve the Eternal. Emperor as they are our leader.."

He took a moment to sigh relieving his facial expression.

"What Master do you serve..?"

Alex had what she came for. Xeno paused to consider her question and the faces of the Lords of the Sith whipped by. She recognized Andruil, the armored Raze, and one shocking face. Manat. In Xeno’s mind Manat rang a Tiamat. She should have known. Well, Alex had known the name was fake. She had suspected Manat possessed greater power than it appeared. She had been her equal in the Force and that mind fortress was terrifying. This only confirmed what the Morellian Councilor suspected. They had allowed two Sith Lords to escape. A failure she could barely comprehend. What was she to do? Nothing now.

The despair from the young Sith was palpable. He was not treated kindly by the ruling class. In another time she may have felt for the young man. “It does not have to be that way. There are other paths should you choose to take them.” Despite everything, Alex did believe in redemption. She simply doubted this man would ever hear them. “We are not monsters. It would serve you well to learn who we truly are.” She turned to leave, her task her finished.

“No Jedi serves a Master. We sacrifice for the Light and life of the galaxy, but it is our choice. Should you return some day to claim my life it will be because the Force wills it, and I will make that sacrificing willingly. Good luck young one, for your sake, I hope you find what you are looking for.” Alex walked from the room. Her eyes piercing the guards.

“Don’t let this one escape.” Alex believed in redemption…not stupidity.
