In our lore, dark side spirits can only manifest themselves on Moraband. So your Jedi would have to be on Moraband, which unfortunately is probably unlikely outside of some sort of battle scenario.

How about a mis-calculated hyperspace jump and subsequent short exploration of te planet's surface?

The question would be, how do you even get passed the defenses and reach the surface?

We also have established guidelines that say that if an enemy combatant goes to the other side's main worlds, the other side gets to defend. So you wouldn't really have your own private thread. You'd probably have Sith gunning for you.

A simple stepping back and thinking would create anew way. Maybe you sneak in on an open thread? Maybe you do athread where a sith captures you, etc. your first idea should not be the only idea.

The way I'm gonna be doing it in some future threads is the character being plagued by he other character's memories. And that in turn will make him question his actions and at times consider a course of action that would normally be completely abhorrent to him.

The way I wish to do it is either the spirit corrupts the person, turning them into an "evil" version of themself, or the spirit just takes control of the person's body and can use any ability they knew how to use when alive (my preference).

Personally I see that as sort of a cheap out. You're effectively using a cheat code to use abilities you haven't earned with the character.

It's supposed to be a temporary thing that wreaks havoc on the possessed person's body; it doesn't have to have that added bit if you don't want it though. Here is the way I want to my preferential way of possession: I want to use it as a story element. My Jedi, Jalen, would be possessed by an obviously evil Sith spirit, and through the RP gain control of it, though it wouldn't leave his body. This would open up the opportunity for character development (learning to deal with the spirit) and times when I could revisit that "evil Jalen" style roleplay. What do you think?

Wait, that just seems to make the issue @Wit mentioned even worse. Not only is it not temporary, but your character would, over time, gain control over a powerful evil Sith spirit?

Not necessarily "powerful", its only a spirit. By gain control I mean suppress.
