Aevis has had deep training in the Living Force before his master passed away, giving him strong telekinetic strength and foresight. He also has an innate sense of direction and navigation, helping him jump blindly through space. More advanced powers such as healing and lightning are extremely difficult for him to perform.
SKILLS:
In his travels, Aevis has learned dozens of languages and seen more cultures than one could imagine, giving him insight on a person based off of their very appearance. He is able to navigate blindly through space using his connection to the Force. A capable military strategist, specializing in space combat.
SWORD FORMS:
Aevis uses primarily Form I (Basic) in the standard Lightsaber Combat, touching Form II (Lightsaber-on-Lightsaber) and Form IV (Acrobatic) when needed.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
His strengths include his knack to talk his way out of any situation, his piloting abilities, and his strength in the Force. He does not usually think things through, though, and ends up in hot water. Aevis may let stress get the better of him under pressure, and can be snappy, worrisome, and jumpy in ground combat.
GEAR:
Aevis usually has his rucksack on him, which holds his commlink, maps, charts, books, and all the necessities. He carries a beautifully hand-made obsidian sword as opposed to the lightsaber preferred by Jedi, claiming ‘it’s just more reliable’. He does however possess his Master's old green-bladed lightsaber, modifying it and tuning it as he sees fit.
SHIP:
Aevis owns a very advanced freighter he uses as his home. It has moderately powerful shields, with a pair of forward firing laser cannons and two missile launchers, one on top and one on bottom, both computer guided.
The ship is long and train-like, with smooth silver plating. The front compartment is the cockpit and gunnery station, which may also serve as an escape pod. The second compartment is the lounge and boarding area. The third is living quarters, and the fourth is the engine and diagnostics, along with some storage. Each compartment is approximately 12x20x10 (W*L*H), save the cockpit which is approximately 12*10*10. There is bedding for up to four permanent residents. (Sketches on the way, hopefully.)
PETS:
Aevis owns a Corellian Slice Hound, named Erade. He has domesticated the pet, although the creature will defend it's master in times of need.
PERSONALITY:
Aevis is usually a very friendly person, willing to help people he doesn’t even know. He refuses to pick sides in the Conflict, devoting himself to the causes of peace and knowledge as his master (whom he looked up to as a father figure) did.
At times, Aevis can be very quiet and reclusive, especially when discussing his former master. He has somewhat of an addictive personality, leading him to gamble, to smoke, and to drink. As most Corellians, Aevis can be goaded into anything by hurting his pride. He is known to get cocky, and in turn reckless, but he gets results nonetheless.
HISTORY:
Born into a farming family, Aevis had a relatively boring childhood on the outskirts of Coronet City raising spats and growing wheat. He often dreamed of visiting far off locales, and occupied his time camping and living as best as he could.
When he turned eighteen, he joined CorSec as a pilot, flying one of the squadrons patrolling Talus. He soon had his first engagement against pirates, and his amazing skill brought the attention of the Jedi resident- Tully Kestal. He was soon Tully’s apprentice, where his abilities flourished.
He fell in love with the Jedi combat, and modified it to fit a sword, as advised by his master. This proved a good gesture, as it often gave him extra power during his swings. He began to travel with Tully, until his master passed away for reasons unknown. Aevis inherited his ship, and then all of Tully’s work- the older Jedi had been mapping just beyond the known galaxy. It was then that Aevis found his calling in life, and he has been traveling alone for almost three years. He is responsible for mapping dozens of planets, and finding new homes for humans, beginning to connect the known galaxy with locales they had not yet dreamed of.
