We walked the rows and rows of Imperial gravestones, each representing a life cut short on Dathomir. He passed names he knew and names he didn't, all he considered brothers and sisters. He wore his dress uniform, maybe half intending to attend the Imperial Gathering nearby, but that idea had quickly left a foul taste in his mouth. That wasn't a place for him; no, he belonged here. There were others here, paying respects, each in their own way.

Where ever these souls went, he wanted to believe they knew they hadn't been forgotten, their sacrifice not in vain. The evening air was cool, a breeze moving through the cemetery. He walked for a while, stopping several times at recognized names.

Finally, he came to stone he had actually come to see.

Sergeant Lance "Sarge" Belsair

Read the name on the stone. The old soldier had been Jon's first squad leader; he had mentored him through those rough transition years of becoming a soldier. As Jon had raised through the ranks, Sarge turned down promotion after promotion. He had always said he would die a squad leader; Jon just didn't think it would actually happen.

He put the two shot glasses down on top of the tombstone and pulled out a flask of the Sarge's favorite whiskey. He left one on top and grabbed one for himself. He sat down, leaning against the back of the tombstone.

"I sure could use one of yourfamous talking to's now, Sarge..." he said, raising his glass to the air and taking a drink.
