Covax had appeared on the scene after Ali, during the time she had been conversing with Kurssk, but by the time he had joined them the slave was at Aska's side, consumed with grief. The Trandoshans acknowledged his arrival, having turned their heads to look away from the weeping Togruta, but noticing that he was not a threat, did not raise their weapons or attempt to shoot. The mercenary had contacted his droid to send his personal ship over to them, however the Trandoshans gave the man a look. "We will not be abandoning our trophy. Let's not forget, it is you who want our help acquiring information on Quesh and we have already done what we can for your friend here" he explained, without raising his voice or sounding confrontational, "We will expect payment for the work that goes into Klied's task. These terms can be agreed later, once your friend has been delivered to a medical facility, but in return for aiding your casualty you can load the Taka-tey onto your craft and drop us off at our ship when she has been brought to safety. Do we have a deal?"

Though Kurssk was talking to Covax, the mercenary was not given an opportunity to respond. "Yes! Anything! Just please help me save my mistress, please!" cried Ali, climbing to her feet, her eyes sore and tears running down her cheeks as she pleaded with the older Trandoshan. Kurssk sighed, feeling sorry for the girl, but nodded his approval of the deal. Right now nothing else mattered in Ali's mind. She simply did not care if Covax was annoyed about her interrupting or making decisions about what he did with his ship. Aska was her mistress and she was sworn to look after her needs above anyone else.

A short time later, Covax's YT-1200 freighter touched down in the clearing and his astromech companion appeared. Ali took Aska onboard with the help of Khek and stayed by her side the entire time that the others secured the body of the Taka-tey in Covax's cargo hold. The Trandoshans were happy enough with the arrangement, so long as they would get dropped back at their own ship after Aska was taken to the nearest medical facility. Aska's ship would remain where it was parked until such a time that she, or one of the other members of Demon Moon went to collect it.

The freighter took off towards the closest city. Ali was in a terrible state of grief and panic over what happened to her mistress, but despite all her worst fears, something was telling her that Aska wasn't gone just yet. There was still some fight left in her and it was the one thing that Ali latched on to. During their journey, the Trandoshans would sit and speak with the Togruta about Klied's task, even taking the opportunity to contact the Onderonian using the ship's communications to explain what was happening and for Kurssk to be briefed in full on the job he was being hired to do. The Trandoshan accepted and made plans with Khek to head to Quesh immediately after they returned to their ship.
