It wasn't the first time Byron had piloted a quadjumper tug. Over Contruum 6 they were used from time to time moving ships in and out. But this vessel was owned by the Jedi Order and there might be some difficulty ahead when it comes to salvaging the gozanti light freighter.

The other two were supposed to meet him at the coordinates shortly. They were said to be arriving in either a salvage freighter or a tug like him. Admittedly Byron didn't like actually having to hyperspace travel with the tug. It only had five days worth of supplies, some of which he already had cracked open in the long trip here. That was the other problem. It only had a class ten hyperdrive. Good thing he picked it up two systems over. Otherwise he would have been cutting it too close for comfort.

Exiting hyperspace he saw the debris field almost immediatly and made a course correction. While he waited he closed his eyes and tried to see how well he could meditate in the vacuum of space. It wasn't something he had tried before. But that was what the padawan did to pass the time until his cohorts arrived.

Gozanti ships were popular with the Imperials back in the day. Fiach was not a bookworm for nothing! She took missions seriously and read not only the brief, but around the brief. Who knew why the ship was there, or what it contained, but the request of the Jedi Council was straightforward. Dock with it and tug it to a safe place – away from the debris field.

Fiach was not in her usual ship – which was uninspiring to look at, but was as good as it gets under the bonnet. It could be classed as a big scout ship or a small freighter. Either way, it was nimble enough to negotiate a debris field if need be. The salvage freighter she’d been allocated was hardly sprightly and the controls felt sluggish to her direction – albeit, she was getting used to it.

She arrived at the designated rendezvous and immediately had to course correct as she was closer to the debris field than she would have liked. As she dealt with the lag, she noted that one of her fellows had already arrived.

Brienna Lanaamer sat with her feet up against the side of the freighter's cockpit, struggling to find a comfortable position in the less than comfortable pilot and co-pilot chairs. When the Council had asked Bri to accompany two Padawans on a salvage job, she had accepted, albeit with a slight amount of hesitation. It wasn't that she disliked Padawans, she just wanted to ensure that her role on the 'mission' wasn't to be a babysitter, which in and of itself was a little odd, considering the Padawans were likely around her age. Bri was well of the appropriate skill level to have taken a Padawan of her own, but due to her own feelings and fear of potentially failing any potential student, she always found a way to avoid the subject from the Jedi Council. Perhaps this was their way of forcing me into a decision? She had met one of the Padawans previously on Ajan Kloss, a Bryon Ryker, though not for any extended period of time. The other was Fiach Dubh; Bri had been spending the past few hours in her company as she piloted their assigned freighter to its intended destination.

The Knight wasn't expecting much when she was told she'd be helping in a 'freighter,' but was still somewhat surprised as the large hunk of metal more than lived up to its name. It was large, rusted in many places, had all sorts of carbon scoring, and contained some mysterious, yet slightly unpleasant smell on the inside. Where did the Jedi even get this ship? Bri was more than glad that Fiach had volunteered to pilot the big lug, considering her own flying skills were decidedly average.

As the freighter exited hyperspace, Fiach had to quickly correct their trajectory, preventing any major collisions with the nearby debris field. "Nice job," Bri looked over flashing a smile, and complementing the Padawan's skills at the controls. Taking her feet off of the dash, she leaned forward, nearly pressing her face against the large window. "Looks like he's over there," Bri pointed, to her right, looking back at Fiach, noting that she had already begun to angle the ship accordingly. So far, so good.

Byron's eyes were closed for a bit. He was wearing a flightsuit for this mission since there was a chance they were going to be dealing with depressurized compartments. With both hands of the controls he placed them in his lap while meditating. Working out and training tended to force him to consume lots of calories. Still used to eating more he knew decided this was the best time to practice sustaining himself.

No sooner that it felt like Byron had begun the process that a beep from the dashboard told him another ship had exited hyperspace nearby. Placing his hands back on the controls he guided the tug closer to the debris field and also the salvage freighter. The tug was tough and had the power needed to do its fair share of the job but in all other respects it was bare bones. Even the communications array could use an upgrade. "Knight Lanaamer, Padawan Dubh, glad to see you both made it. No trouble getting here I hope."

The tug angled a bit more towards the debris field. It was actually quite a bit faster than most light freighters the more he flew the tug. "Can you use your scanners to find where the Gozanti is? My scanners aren't that great." He said though still had them running as best he could. They would be able to cover more of the debris field with both of them focusing on detecting the ship they were here to grab. "Is it just the two of you?" Generally the salvage ship required at least three people to run smoothly. If it was just the two of them then one person would have to operate the arms while the pilot made sure to pilot the ship while using the laser cannons to either blast or avoid any other dangerous debris. Since he didn't need to move as fast in the debris field he would move so that his tug was ahead of their ship. Please don't have a crash on this trip. Please don't make anything explode. He began counting his prayers to the Force while he waited for them to return with a fix on the Gozanti's location.

Fiach smiled at the Knight when she complemented her piloting. "Thanks," she said simply. "I practiced on one of these on a simulator when I was young. It was a basic model, but the time spent paid off in the long run."

Then she turned her attention to the incoming transmission. "The journey was straightforward enough," Fiach explained, "although the debris field was a little closer than the intelligence report. Which suggests it's on the move and that might make our task a little more challenging."

She turned to the Knight once more. "If I get us as close to the debris field as possible, could you operate the scanners? I'd prefer to have both hands free for keeping us from bumping into anything."

Bri nodded with a grin as Fiach explained her skills at the control of the freighter was due many hours spent in a simulator. The Knight didn't feel it worthy to mention that she too had spent a fair amount of time in flight simulators, which had decidedly not improved her own skills behind the controls. Perhaps a story for another time.

The Knight focused her attention at the speaker, which crackled to life with the voice of the other Padawan in the space tug. Bri agreed with Fiach's judgement of the situation. If their flight calculations were unable to account for any movement in the debris field, that meant that salvaging any ship was likely going to be exponentially more challenging. Bri leaned back over to answer Byron's last question, "Yep, it's just the two of us."

"On it,"
she nodded in response to Fiach. Bri swiveled the co-pilot's chair to face the opposing direction, accessing the ship's scanners. The controls on the panels took a few seconds to warm up, finally coming online after a less than gentle whack from the Jedi's hand. Off to a good start. Bri alternated looking out the view finder with glances at the scanner, eventually spotting something of the right size and shape to be their desired Gozanti Freighter. The Knight reported back to the Padawans, "looks like its a few hundred meters away, about 40 degrees off our starboard side," accompanying the message with a point out the window for Fiach's benefit, "over there."

"Hmm...weird." He commented, not thinking much of how they exited hyperspace. It was possible they just had out of date navigation coordinates. But it wasn't really a concern at this point to look into it. The debris field didn't seem to be moving in any specific direcition and if it had only been a few kilometers for literally millions of small fragments, there was no way to really tell unless they wanted to sit around for an hour.

"I'm going to go in a bit. Might be able to drag it out if I find it." He said and had the tug accelerate. The vessel was tough and meant to withstand an accidental collision. But even so the padawan made sure to avoid any direct impacts. There were pieces of torn hulls, wrent ships of different models. Many of them clearly had already been picked clean.

He heard Brienna's report after a few moments and he circled around to where they had moved to. "hmm, not seeing-" but then he came into view of the ship. "...nevermind. I see it. I think I'mg getting some interferance because my sanner's should still be working at least.." He growled, wondering why he hadn't detected the ship. The salvage freighter should have been able to detect it from more than a few hundred meters away, even in the debris field.

"I'll hook it with the harpoon and try to pull it out of the main debris field." Deftly bringing the tug towards the front of the gozanti light freighter he switched to the harpoon and shot the magnet tipped tool to secure the freighter. "We'll need to check it for a decent seal. Send the drones once its clear of the debris." The rest of the time was going to be him delicatly pulling the darkened hulk of the freighter out of the debris field. Looking back he saw a few pices bang and float off. "Hold on. There's still a ship attached to the underside." A single TIE fighter that seemed still locked and connected via a the docking connection the gozanti was known for. Wonder if it's still working

Fiach’s role right now was straightforward – and she liked straightforward. To keep as close to the debris field as possible and not hit anything. Oh, and to keep still if possible. This would allow the Jedi Knight to work the scanners to detect the ship they were here to remove. As she glanced around, she saw plenty of natural debris and also bits and pieces that were definitely manufactured. They could be remnants of ships that got too close to the field – or maybe, like them, exited hyperspace too near to the flotsam and jetsam. Or perhaps they were bits of ship that had been taken apart for their salvage value – the worthless elements left to float in space and add to the danger of the debris field.

She looked at where Brienna was pointing and could see what they’d come to retrieve. She manoeuvred the ship to be as close to the freighter as she could comfortably get, so that the tug could travel the shortest possible route out of the field. Of course, she knew she might have to adjust, depending on the exit route the debris offered, given the size of the freighter.

The news of a TIE fighter was interesting – although Fiach saw limited value in speculating the why of the situation. If either ships' computer was still intact (which they should be) then the answer should be apparent.

Bri tilted her head from the view finder, trying to get a better look at the Gozanti class freighter they were intending to be salvaging. It had certainly seen better days, not unlike the ship the two Jedi found themselves in. Still, it appeared to be worth the effort of removing from the debris field. No doubt some of the more mechanically inclined Jedi in the Order could soon have it back zipping around the galaxy. As Bryon's tug slowly pulled the ship, the aforementioned Tie-Fighter came into view. An odd development indeed. Numerous possibilities floated around Bri's mind. Not focusing too much on any one particular idea, further evidence would likely provide the answer once they boarded.

The process was rather slow. To be fair, Bri hadn't really expected anything else. The hunks of metal were large, and all the necessary cautions were required to ensure that no damage was sustained to any of the ships. Fiach had nimbly navigated their freighter to a safe distance, as all three began to gradually shift away from some of the larger pieces of debris. Bri walked over to a control panel on the opposing side of the cockpit, toggling a few switches as it slowly glowed to life.

Much like the scanners, the controls for the automated drones seemed to be of less than modern quality. Waiting until the larger pieces of floating junk passed by them, Bri slowly slid the six switches forward, hearing six associated 'clunk' as the smaller vehicles departed from the freighter. With the drones providing additional guidance, Bri looked over at Fiach, asking, "Alright, see if you can get us close enough to start the boarding process."

"I don't if you can...it might be too big but you should try to get the clamps on it just to keep it from drifting. Also, looks like only one of the airlocks for starfighters is undamaged." It was probably more likely damaged by just spinning in a cloud of debris than anything. He advised as his tug finished connecting to one of the airlocks normally used for a TIE fighter or other starfighter. Before he fully went through the airlock he verified he had a seal on his flightsuit. The other side had a seal and some remnants of breathable air still but not enough for Byron to risk it without his helmet. That also meant that nobody had been left alive to use up the remnants of breathable air, wherever they ended up.

Bit by bit he made his way further into the ship. He began marking off parts of the ship where there were obvious damages and gave a few updates for Brienna to direct the drones towards. The hall between him and the bridge lacked any oxygen. That meant he would have to vent what he had in the previous section and use his reserves. "Going to check out the bridge. If the controls are intact I should be able to maybe make a jump using the ship's own hyperdrive. " He would have to then also check on the status of the ship's reactor and hyperdrive. If the former was knocked out they could rig an emergency rig between the- He stopped himself from troubleshooting an issue before he even came across it.

Reaching forward he opened the compartment and passed through. His feet floated a few centimeters away from the deck until he opened the door to bridge. There must have been some air on the other side because he was immediatly greeted by the haunting face of a dead spacer. Byron swore and jumped at the gaunt visage. Moving aside he let the cadaver drift past before looking beyond. There were a few others, in different ares of the bridge.

By then there would be a shudder throughout the ship. Byron heard it as the TIE fighter detatched. "Is....is that TIE fighter still attatched?" Maybe an escape pod had been fired. Whatever the case it made him stop short of examining the navicomputer controls. Further aft, unknown to the padawan were a handful of brigands. Their arrival and circumstances a mystery unto itself. But one of them has begun piloting the starfighter and was coming around to fire on the salvage freighter. Byron moved over to the bridge viewport and saw the starfighter coming around. "The TIE fighter, it's coming at your ventral side!"

Fiach focused primarily on keeping as close to the debris field as possible, without actually coming into contact with anything. And in addition, she looked to mirror her fellow Padawan’s movements, this allowing him the least amount of time having to tow the vessel. It was not something Fiach had ever done and was a little in awe of his control of the vessel, given he was also navigating the flotsam and jetsam at the same time.

As a result, she paid virtually no attention on the vessel he was looking to tow – she wanted to give her current job all of her attention. She was getting more and more accustomed to the lag between a thought happening and the ship responding in the way she wanted. Fortunately, being a Force-sensitive helped, as she was able to effectively predict the necessary adjustment and by the time the ship responded, the timing was near enough right.

She sensed the danger at approximately the same time that Byron called it out. But knowledge was one thing, doing something about it was another.

Weighing up her options instantly, Fiach decided she had only one course of action available to her. So, she decided to use the debris field as one half of a proverbial nut-cracker, with her ship as the other half. The TIE was nimble, but to avoid hitting space rocks, the ship and provide an offensive threat? She hoped it was enough to occupy the pilot’s mind until one of her compatriots was able to do something about it.

Bri sat at the controls of the drones, nimbly directing them around their target, based on Byron's report from inside the ship. The task reminded her of a balance game. Move this drone here, move that one there, dodge the debris, move it back, don't forget about that one, keep clear of the other drones, dodge more debris. It required more concentration than one might expect. The freighter itself wasn't in terrible shape, yet she awaited an update on the status of its controls, engine and hyperdrive. That would be more of an indicator as to what kind of salvage job they would be running.

The Knight stopped her motions as Byron ceased his updates and instead offered a somewhat worried sounding statement on the status of the TIE Fighter attached to the ship. Bri hadn't seen anything, but after a few moments, looked out of the bridge windows to see the fighter missing from its previously docked location. Another warning from Byron arrived about the Fighter's approach from their ventral side. The Knight groaned internally about the unexpected occurrence in their mission. How did salvaging a simple freighter end up as a fight with a Tie Fighter? "Well, thats not good," Bri replied to the two Padawan's trying to sound unconcerned. After a few seconds, she felt the ship rock slightly, hit with laser fire. They wouldn't last long being defenseless.

Bri noticed that Fiach was taking the smart course of action to keep them covered on one side by the debris field. Taking the Padawan's cue, the Knight moved the drones back towards their ship, keeping them close to prevent any further damage. "Keep us steady, Fiach. I'm going to hop in the forward turret," Bri commented, quickly getting up and exiting the bridge, before breaking into a run down to the gunner position. Upon arriving, the Knight grabbed the headset sitting on the chair, and sat down, quickly bringing the turret back online. Much like the other features of the ship, it wasn't exactly in top condition. Bri quickly found that the turret was prone to sticking, moved far too quickly, and that the tracking feature was only semi-functional.

Receiving another update from Bryon on the TIE's position, Bri opened fire, the bright red lights of the laser fire flashing on her face. The Knight had every intention of shooting it down, and adding another addition to the debris field. She narrowed her eyes, making use of the force to assist in locking on to the target, and fired repeatedly.

Byron felt the deck of the ship shudder. There was a lack of atmosphere and its associated pressure. What he heard in those moments was the somewhat electronic tone of his Jedi comrades aboard the salvage freighter. His own breathing and heartbeat were obvious but he knew that a lack of stimulation from the environment can give an odd sense of disorientation out in the vacuum of space. If he had not been a starship engineer before joining the Jedi he might not have had the practice to remain calm when he and the void were just separated by a few milimeters of his flight suit.

Byron wasn't doing any good standing on the bridge of the motionless gozanti freighter. He felt another shudder through the ground, then realized that he had felt the vibration in the deckplates several times already. Looking towards the door he came through he walked towards it. He raised a hand and pressed it against the hard surface, trying to sense what else was on the ship with him and how far away they were.

A stream of green laser blasts came from the TIE fighter as it made its second pass. Only a single shot managed to splash against the freighter's shield. But that was because the mysterious pilot at the controls of the starfighter quickly adjusted course and flew into the debris field and used it as cover. The speed at which it moved made it difficult for the targeting computers to auto-compensate. But not impossible. The starfighter's shields failed and one of the cannon shots sent the starfighter spinning towards the debris field. Its pilot maybey felt confident enough that they could fly between the chunks of wreckage if not even use it to its advantage and make it hard for the jedi to get a solid targeting lock on them.

Inside the ship Byron felt aggression. There was caution but also paired with a cold predatory sensation. Byron drew his blaster pistol and stepped away from the door and back towards the bridge controls. He still needed to check on the hyperdrive and the reactor. Otherwise they might not be taking the Gozanti anywhere. "Disconnect if you have to. I'll be fine. You're sitting ducks while connected to this hulk." He said it knowing full well he was increasing his odds for some sort of accident to happen. It never felt good telling someone to leave you behind even if it was just temporarily. "Reactor is....intact...but shut down." It seems like was going to have to get back there to manually turn it back on. "Navicomputers karked though...." Nearly 85% of the ship's systems were offline. Sure, give Byron a month and a few helping hands and it could be fully operational again. But they didn't have a month.

There was a different shudder that came. This time it was closer and originated from the blast door from one compartment over opening. It was Byron's only way back too but someone was coming to the bridge. The padawan moved towards the nose of the bridge and got behind a terminal in the crouched position. Now he was allowing himself to get a little worried. Funny how a space walk didn't bother him but a shoot out did. With his blaster held in both hands he glanced at it again, triple checking that the stun setting was on.

As the ship shuddered due to laser fire now being brought to bear on it, Fiach did all she could to minimise the damage. This was not a vessel built for combat – and so was outgunned, outshielded and outmanoeuvred. But it was a brute of a ship and could therefore taking quite a bit of damage before things got critical. The TIE fighter on the other hand, was vulnerable if its shields could be breached.

She nodded – for what it was worth – as the Knight explained she would mount the forward turret. Using this information, Fiach would – once the Knight was in place – look to move the ship to maximise her chances of seeing and therefore shooting, the TIE fighter.

Right here and right now, Fiach could only do so much. It was all down to the Jedi Knight if they were going to exit this mission alive.

Bri grit her teeth as she felt the repeated response from the laser turret vibrate annoyingly in her hands. The TIE fighter was quick, nimble, and easily changed course. Their freighter, and by extension the laser turret, were anything but. It was challenging to aim, difficult to maintain extended contact, and the tracking feature was completely offline. Every laser bolt she seemed to fire was just a few meters behind the target. With each repeated pass, the TIE buffeted the ship with a worrying amount of laser fire.

Byron's voice crackled to life in the small headset, with the Knight missing a few words due to static. She caught enough to get the gist, however. Bri was extremely hesitant to disconnect from the ship with Byron in it, especially considering the heavy unknowns of the situation weighing on the m. She ordered a few commands to the Padawans, while trying to chase the TIE on another pass. "Fiach - only disconnect if absolutely necessary. We're not leaving anyone behind. Byron - see if you can get the reactor back up and running on the ship. We'll be over to help as soon as we can."

Concentrating with extreme focus, Bri mustered as much of a Force assist as she could, narrowing her eyes to predict the flight path of the TIE, launching a volley of laser fire that finally clipped its wing, sending it careening into the debris field. The Jedi sighed, with a grin.

When Brienna's voice came back, belaying his suggestion. He didn't insist, things were too tense in the airless bridge of the gozanti freighter. "There's someone onboard." He whispered despite the lack of atmosphere that was required for sound to travel normally. But the padawan was not soothed by this since the deck of the ship continued to have a regular reverberation. Like the kind that came when something heavy hitting the floor and it was getting closer.

Slowly he peeked his head over the terminal to see who had come. The large outline, partially lit up by the stary void outside the bridge window, revealed a bulky droid. It didn't seem to notice Byron yet but was clearly patroling into this area and searching for something. The chasis mounted spotlight blinked on , sweeping over the deck and different places that had once been manned by the ships former crew. Byron at first wondered what a loader droid was doing on the bridge but then saw the blaster built into the arm of the automaton. +Nothing but cadavers, heh+ The droid said in a deep robotic tone. The padawan could have sworn there was a little chuckle added to the end. A sadistic droid, that was new.

As the droid began heading towards one side of the bridge Byron looked towards the exit. If he ran past the droid then he wouldn't have to fight it, yet. But that meant it would be behind him and also for the two Jedi onboard the salvage freighter. Taking a deep breath he stepped out and raised his free hand. The open hand curled its fingers as Byron focused on crushing the blaster arm. He didn't think he could entirely crush such a large and tough droid but at least with this it wouldn't be able to fire at him. Some electronic feedback sounded from the vacbulator, indicating that it 'felt' the damage it recieved. A few sparks flew from the crumpled arm though it was still moving somewhat.

+Threat detected onboard. Jedi+ Byron wasn't sure if it was communicating to someone or if it was verbalising its observations. The loader droid began stomping with its magnetic feet across bridge, closing the distance. One blaster bolt, a second, and a third struck and impacted against the toughened body of the droid. Kark

Routine missions. Who’d sign up for them?

Well it seemed that Fiach regularly did – and so was no longer surprised when the unexpected happened. Not that she revelled in it, but she accepted it. Ever the pragmatist.

And to that end, she was fully aware of and accepted her limitations. She was a decent pilot but not an ace one. And she could only do so much with the ship she had at her disposal. All she could do was keep it in one piece for as long as possible, to allow the Jedi Knight to take care of the TIE fighter. If the Force willed it, it would happen.

And so it did. Finally, they were free of the menace, but now the Padawan could focus on what comes next.

“Good shooting. And hopefully there are no more where that came from. At least no more fighters. But the pilot? Unless it was a droid, we have to assume there may be others on that ship. Unlikely…but possible. So, next steps?”

As if echoing her words, the intercom crackled with the voice of her fellow Padawan. There was someone – or something – on board the vessel. She secured the ship in a safe position, shut down the navigation – in case someone from the other ship sneaked on board and decided to use this vessel as an escape route and headed off to meet up with the Knight.

Bri shifted the turret chair to attempt to see what happened to the TIE fighter. A distant flash, followed by a dull thud suggested an explosion of some kind. The Jedi turned her chair before disengaging the turret systems. Hopefully I won't have to be using that again. Her attention returned to the two Padawans, as her headset once more came to life with the voice of Fiach. Preempting her ability to respond, the static-y sound of Byron speaking in a whisper followed. Bri strained her concentration in an attempt to understand the message.

It followed logically that who ever was piloting the TIE fighter must have a group of compatriots elsewhere, and, for whatever reason, were also interested in the freighter. "Thanks, Fiach. Lock the ship down and meet me at the airlock," Bri replied, matter-of-factly, then attempted to try and figure out what to report back to the other Padawan. "Byron - stay safe until Fiach and I make it over. Report back if you can, but don't endanger yourself unless necessary."

The Jedi tossed the headset down and hurried away from the upper deck of the weapons module, quickly jogging down the stairs to meet Fiach at the connection point between the two ships. Greeting the Padawan with a slightly out of breath smile, Bri explained, "Alright, I guess we really have no idea what's over there, so stay alert, yeah?" An after thought occurred that such a warning went without saying. Pressing a few buttons on the nearby door access panel, she looked back over at Fiach, "Ready?"

The droid loomed over Byron. Its arms were as big as the man's legs and probably just as dangerous as they looked. Without its blaster working it had one other option, hand to hand combat. With a surprising amount of speed the droid lunged towards Byron with an overhead dual fist attack that the man narrowly avoided. The terminal the padawan had been using as cover sparked and crumpled from the strike.

In his mind he wished he had an ion grenade. The Jedi felt his back touch the headrest of the co-pilot's chair. He didn't have a lot of room to maneuver. Holding onto that thought, he reached out a hand beside his blaster like he had before. Instead of crushing a part of the droid he could channeled his intent to overload the bounty droid's circuits. With a fist reeled back, the droid's large photoreceptors brightened and one sparked before both going dark.

Byron exhaled a sigh of relief. Glad that worked He heard the knight come in over the comlink. Walking around the large droid, he headed back to hesitantly double check what he had been looking at earlie while catching his breath.. "Understood. I'm on the bridge still. I can-" His words stopped as one limb after another belonging to the droid began moving. Heavy thuds reverberated through the deck as the violent machine turned with its one working photoreceptor. Byron raised his blaster pistol again with a curse on his lips and fired several more times before it stopped. "Okay...yeah...let me know which docking ring you're coming in. Just had a little run in with a battle droid. I uh...don't know if there's more." His eyes continued to stay on the droid, half expecting it to start moving again. But this time it was preeminently dead.

Fiach hastened to the airlock once she’d made the necessary arrangements to stop the ship being stolen. Her ubiquitous smile was ever present, belying how dangerous the brush with the TIE fighter actually was. This was not because she underestimated the gravity of the situation, but because she was pragmatic about death. It would happen one day, only the date was unknown.

She nodded at Bri’s instruction out of courtesy and recognition that they were of one mind.

Fiach closed her eyes momentarily – something she did to centre herself and connect as deeply as she could to the Force – and when she opened them, she nodded again. “Ready,” she said and pulled her cloak to one side, to allow easier access to her saber if she needed it.

“After you,” she finally added. In her defence, it was before she heard mention of battle droids!
