By the time that Barry and his group of upstart revolutionaries got in their positions, the veil of dust and smoke would begin dissipating. Those things don't stay around forever. The cloud, although stopped the Republic forces from having a visual on them, also worked the same in reverse, but it was beginning to thin out, and Barry and his followers can spot the enemy tank and are aware of where the speeders are that are on the look out for them, but the same isn't is in reverse. Because they haven't told bellowed where they are at to the Republic forces.

Upon having visual of the tank, tank barrel is pointed away from them, but their missile launcher on the side of the turret is exposed. Since it's lightly armored and still loaded with explosive bunker busters, it's a vulnerable target. Barry would order his men to fire on that missile rack. Barry would also join in on the shooting as well as his revolutionaries are firing. . The tank is within thirty meters, therefore in range of the rebel's pistols. The rebels might be toting pistols, but blaster bolts still nonetheless have this nasty habit of exploding when they land. Barry would also fire off fast-paced rounds as quickly as he can with his burst-fire rifle while keeping careful aim on the target.

Harlam might be in a bit of a situation, but there isn't much Barry can do. He will just have to hold out.

Barry's course of action, means he just given away his position. The missile launcher should be destroyed soon (since the Wompa is "lightly armored" and the turrets of tanks tend to be lightly armored than the rest of the vehicle), making the missiles explode and taking the top of the tank with it.

Of course Barry and his men aren't oblivious to the troopers and speeders, and are ready to react to them as needed. If the tank's main gun starts turning towards him, he is of course prepared to get away. The Barry and his men are spread out across the front of the building firing from the window. It shouldn't be easy to single out the former RJF trooper.

Harlan and the men on the top floor fired on one of the speeders and they succeeded in killing the pilot - leaving the co-pilot with enough control over the speeder to prevent the crash that they had aimed for by shooting at the pilot. This meant that the speeder was still able to keep it's height and turned as planned - the repeater opened fire as Harlan and his men fell back. Harlan luckily evaded the fire by being the first one to move back, three of his men were gunned down.

Of the posse on the ground floor, two of them were gunned down by the second speeder that had been strafing them. As they hadn't stayed behind cover, the repeater raked over them and ended their lives as the tank crashed through the wall. The posse opened fire on the troopers exiting the tank to reload but the republic troopers had followed their tank and their were ready. The posse were poorly equiped to stand toe-to-toe with the Republic troopers, especially when they were all focusing their attention on the tank crew and the troopers were specifically waiting for them.

The posse was gunned down in short order, allowing the tank to finish reloading the missiles as the troopers hunkered down around the tank, blasters up to keep track of any new forces coming into play. The speeder without a main pilot held it's position out the front of the warehouse Harlan and his men were in but the second (the one that had strafed the ground floor), proceeded to fly around to the rear of the warehouse, ready to gun down anyone attempting to leave via the back of the warehouse.

Barry and his men open fire on the Wompa tank from rather close range and the driver panics, attempting to move the tank to the other side of the road using it's repulsor propulsion to try and avoid the damage. This means that Barry's forces' shots damage the missile tubes, rendering them incapable of being operated and causes the tank to crash into a building. The tank attempts to fire a missile and it explodes - causing the tank to crash to the ground as the rear door erupt off as the tank gutted itself with it's poor decision.

As soon as the men opened fire on the tank however, the two patrolling speeders knew exactly where they were and began to lay down repeater fire. In order to get the best shots, many of Barry's men had to be partially out of cover and two of them went down in the initial burst of fire from on high.

Kriff.

Kriff Kriff Kriff.

Harlan cursed in his mind. Or into his mic. It didn't matter much at this point as the blaster bolts hailed down around him as he and the few boys that survived the storm of fire managed to run further into the building. He was being hemmed in and he didn't like that, he needed to make an opening. That would be his last chance at this point,

"Lads, kriffing quiet, that way" he gestured to his remaining team to move as silent as they could toward the rear of the building. As soon as they could get a clear view of the second gunship waiting for them to exit, they decided a different plan. With the gun mountings both visible through the open centre of the gunship, and its aim seemingly waiting on people to leave, they'd unload into that centre, trying to take both gunners with them and deprive the thing of its ability to fire back, giving them an opening to get moving out of this death trap and try and lose the rest of the fighters in the city where they'd be able to fight back a little more easy. Guerrilla like.

Or so he hoped.

For now he kept himself and his mens focus on that modest task of taking out the gunners, and from their point within and their quiet approach, they should get the drop on it. And with that, the kill.

He should never have taken that kriffing loan from the Hutts, he knew it.

Two men went down but at least that tank is disabled. Good. Good. Now it's those speeders that need to be dealt with. Barry and his men would hunker down in their positions and take cover from the repeater blaster fire. And then when they (Barry more so), they would take the opportunity to fire at the gunners which are exposed to enemy fire. Barry has pretty good aim, knows how fast a blaster bolt goes, it's all a manner of leading the target. Of course he isn't going to risk getting hit himself, so he's being careful about it.

If Harlan and his people can snipe a pilot out of their craft, Barry should be able to get the gunners.

Any troopers on the ground haven't fired yet, but Barry and his band of rebels are aware of them. Barry and his people are ready to duck down for cover whenever blaster bolts come their way.

The missile reloading crew of the last remaining tank had accomplished their job and were back inside the tank as the commander received word from the speeder patrolling the front of the warehouse that Harlan and his forces had fallen back further into the warehouse towards the rear, still a level above the tank. The squad of remaining Republic soldiers fell back behind the tank as it readied itself. As Harlan and his men were firing on the gunners of the speeder at the back, killing one rather easily, the tank fired it's high explosive missiles, exploding almost half the floor of the upper level - the floor beneath the feet of Harlan and his men.

Any of the cartel men who survived to fall down to the ground floor were shot at relentlessly by the Republic troopers, none of whom were interested in taking prisoners.

As for Barry and his men, the remaining Republic troopers on the ground laid on the fire to suppress the posse of Barry while the Cartel man popped up to take his shots. Unfortunately for Barry, he was attempting to shoot two gunners in two separate speeders while both gunners had his general area in their sights while both speeders were still some distance apart. Barry would be able to kill one of the gunners but the other would be able to fire a burst of three blaster bolts at his chest while the Cartel enforcer was still shooting the other gunner.

The Republic forces on the ground would continue to lay down fire on the posse and the speeder with one gunner remaining would spin in place to present it's final gunner with the opportunity to open fire as well.

With the gunner on their side dead the gunship would have to take the long way round to do another pass if it wanted to fire on him, and with all the buildings around it wouldn’t be easy. He felt good for a moment, elated even, which wasn’t a word he thought he knew until just then.

Until, that was, the ground gave way beneath hims. Literally.

He spun as the explosion rocked the building, and he felt the stone start to slip away. In an instant, as his feet fell, he activated his grapple line in his armour which spat out and shot onto the ceiling. It held his weight and swung him toward the other end of the roof. With that hand he went quickly pulled the pin on his frags and let them drop down into the republic soldiers below, hopefully all too distracted by the explosion and his falling men.

He had to hope that would be enough to get him out of trouble for the moment, or else this felt like the end for Harlan. And, despite his rather laissez fairs approach to life, he really preferred breathing to not.

So, fingers kriffing crossed.

One gunner dispatched really quickly, when you have very good weapons that's what tends to happen. Still more of them to go though. Barry didn't waste any time with what he was doing. Fortunately for Barry he was aware of his surroundings in front of him, was careful and was ready to react, and he wasn't just going to stare and take in the battlefield, or would going to have weapons trained on him all too soon.

Barry would side step to his right out of view of the window immediately after the former RJF fired his his first burst of shots that killed the first gunner. The blasters intended to strike his chest would not find their mark, they would instead hit the plate on Barry's left arm, well two of them anyways. The armor would fail and Barry would be gritting his teeth as he can feel the hot plasma behind it. The third bolt would sail past him land harmlessly at a wall.

Those shots that hit his arm won't do him in though, he's tougher than that. Barry would keep going as adrenaline flows through him, he would sprint across the inside of the building towards the other side. With the repeaters trained on his previous position he can't really stay there. He has to reposition himself. He wouldn't expose himself just yet as he has a window nearby, still out of any line of sight. Barry would just take one peek out the window to the outside by bending his head over sideways, minimizing his profile in the process. And he would make that quick too. Of course he is prepared for anything else the Republic troopers might throw at him.

The Republic troopers were doing a fine job keeping the rag tag rebels suppressed elsewhere. Not really much they can do besides hunker down until they get an opportunity to do so. Either that or get cut down by blaster bolts, obvious which option they would take. Still, they are playing it safe for now.

Harlan had managed to save himself from falling down and dying on the ground with his men by activating his grapple line and dropping his grenades directly below him. Fortunately for the Republic troopers, they weren't actually directly below the blast zone but rather further back with the tank so Harlan's grenades didn't harm them, just killing the few members of his posse who had managed to survive the explosion and fall.

With the grenades having exploded, Harlan was exposed dangling from the ceiling.

All of the Republic troopers fired at him three times each - he was in one position due to his grapple hook locked in but they would follow with their rifles if he moved. With all of their rifles already raised and not being damaged by his grenades at all, the Republic troopers would be firing at him quickly and accurately.

Barry had taken some damage from the speeder's turret but had managed to pull back enough for the damage to be lighter than expected. As Barry re-positioned himself, he neglected to inform his troops to do the same and they began to die in greater numbers under the continued fire, leaving only one left alive, who would be forced to cower behind the wall to prevent death.

Both speeders begin to patrol up and down the street again, sticking close to each other as the tank within Harlan's building reloaded it's missiles for the last time due to the ammo.

Harlan flinched as the grenades went off beneath him. He didn't get a chance to look down to see that his drop wasn't exactly on target. No, it seemed he wouldn't get to do a lot of things now. Kriffing Hutts. Never should have been on this world in the first place. Sure, he'd owed them money, a lot of it, but sending him into warzone after warzone... kriff. That's just the way it goes in this life, or so he guessed.

There wasn't much time left for him now. If he could have comforted himself and said that it was for the best he would have, but he just couldn't believe that. His armour would only protect him from a few of the bolts before they tore through it. Instead, as the first few shots hit his body, he deactivated his grapple line and dropped down.

He knew he never oughta have taken out that kriffing loan.

He should have started that kriffing bar instead.

Ah well, that's what he'd done.

C'est la vie.
