“Usually, but Miss Storm here doesn’t bend to the normal forms of persuasion. Perhaps it is her lack of morals or pride?” He answered, though if he was honest he just wanted to see her suffer and it was just as fun to watch someone else inflict torment as it was to do it himself.

“The room next door has been cleared for our use.” He said, pushing back from the table and slowly standing. He clipped the spare lightsaber onto his belt as he pushed the chair back under the table.

The room in question was not sterile or really fit for purpose, it was the second reception downstairs, usually used for after-dinning social gatherings. Drinks, smoking, etc.. but it had been cleared and one of the food preparation tables from the kitchen had been pulled into the centre of the room. “We don’t have much in the repertoire of tools I am afraid. Although I am sure you can make use of what we do have.”

Trace didn't actually move to the room he motioned to, instead letting her senses scour the room as if she were in there. Direct line of sight wasn't necessary for her. The tools were indeed sparse, but she didn't need anything fancy. Pain could be inflicted with the most mundane of instruments.

Serums make things easier, she pointed out, but doubted the woman had any. Instead, she would make due with what she had. She picked a knife, fork, and candle off of the table and carried them to the other room.

How about we make this quick and easy? Tell us what we want to know and then I don't have to get started, she said to the woman who simply spat on Trace. The Sith shook her head, and used a rag to wipe it away.

Okay then, she said, and dug the tooth of the fork under the woman's fingernails deep enough to pry it completely free.

Through a combination of Malerion restricting Miss Storm with The Force and the serving droid they pulled the traitor from the dining room and onto the table. He smirked as she spat in Trace’s face, that had been part of the reason Malerion had gagged the woman before she was placed in the containment field. That and her relentless cries for help, although it seemed as though she had realised that no amount of screaming was going to help. The house was detached and set back from the street, although just incase Malerion had switched on some music on in the front room to help drown out any screams.

Miss Storm let out a high pitched scream which immediately gave Malerion a headache as Trace removed one of the traitor's fingernails. Once she stopped screaming the tears had begun flowing. “Please stop, I will tell you anything you want to know.” She sobbed, Malerion’s brows furrowed annoyed at how quickly she had began to fold, although he shouldn’t be surprised considering how spineless she had been in her previous dealings.

“Simple, Exegol, I wan’t its location.” Malerion replied standing slightly behind and to the left of Trace. “Yes, yes, I can get you that.” She replied with enthusiasm. “And did you also give these details to the ISC.” He asked. Malerion didn’t actually care, but considering how easily she was willing to give up the location to the pair of Sith it didn’t seem far fetched now she would have sold the location for a few credits. “No, of course I didn't, I am loyal to the Sith.” “Trace.”

Trace pondered a moment over this whole situation and wondered to herself if her new "partner" wouldn't just try to kill her as soon as he got the information. He didn't strike her as the trustworthy type, but she was also relatively confident in her own abilities to survive precarious situations.

Let's have it, then, she said. Promises that you can give me something are all well and good, but it's nothing compared to having it in hand, she said, prompting the woman to provide precisely that information that Trace was after.

She would continue with the fingernails until she received what she wanted and only relent once she had the actual location rather than promises.

Look, you're both Sith, you know that I'm not lying, she said, once again maintaining her innocents when it came to betrayal to the ISC. Trace reached out to the Force and plucked at the woman's mind.

She's telling the truth, Trace confirmed.

Malerion took a step back as Trace continued her relentless questioning, even though it seemed Miss Storm broke easily. The blind Sith made sure that it would not be in a moment or tomorrow but now they received the direct coordinates to Exegol. Whilst Trace went about her work, Malerion poured himself a glass of wine, offering one to Trace whilst she worked and sipped it slowly off to one side.

“Hmmm, shame. I would have enjoyed a little justice, I guess you have suffered enough, for now.” He said, confirming that the questioning was over, they had what they both wanted.

With a nod of his head the serving droid moved over to the table and gave Miss Storm a light sedative to push her into a light sleep as he patched up the wounds on her fingers. “I guess we have what we wanted, Miss Trace. I hope that we are not too late to secure any leftovers.”

Trace gripped the glass with the Force, raising it up to her lips as she sipped from it. She didn't want to get someone else's blood all over her things... she was not a barbarian, after all.

In short order - mercifully short - the interrogation was over and Trace moved over to clean her hands off.

Difficult to say. I don't imagine the ISC left the place unguarded. You have a plan for getting past whatever is left there? Or intel on what's left there? she asked as she turned the sink off and dried her hands on a towel.

What he was proposing was no small venture, and such an excursion could very easily end in the deaths of either of them. But then, that was at the core of being a Sith: to risk annihilation for the sake of your goals.

Although he didn’t mind the smell of blood, you get used to it after a while. It was still a sickly smell that got caught in the nose and spoiled anything you tried to drink or eat. So Malerion led Trace out of the room and back into the dining room, the table had been cleared along with the blood pool from Miss Storm’s steak knife wounds.

“We, have little in the way of large ships, so we would need at least something to move a few hundred people encase there is anything left salvaging. Any Ideas?” He asked. “If the ISC did as much damage as they claimed, I doubt they would leave anything significant there, from what Miss Storm told us, it is days out from any ISC facility. Malerion took his seat at the head of the table although this time he was a lot more relaxed than when Trace had first entered, his posture slumped slightly as he crossed his legs. “Do you intend to come with me to Exegol then? I thought you just wanted the lightsaber?” Malerion continued tapping the liberated weapon on his hip.

Trace didn't take a seat again, instead opting to stand and walk slowly across the room. She found that she did her best thinking while moving, and now it seemed that a problem had been faced before them.

So they needed a ship, they needed to evade detection, and they needed a means of finding anything useful that was left.

We'll need scanners and small probe droids. The ones that can squeeze into tight spaces, she said.

He was all "laid back" posture now, and she knew that he was just playing coy about "predicting" what she wanted.

I am interested in opportunity, she said directly. The lightsaber was an opportunity. Exegol is an opportunity. Keep the saber if you want, she said. She wasn't interested in him holding it over her head, and his attempts to carry it around like a trophy on his hip were just that.

We have some assets to acquire it sounds like, she said, never one to sit idly by. It sounded as though they had business to attend to but the night was growing late and she wasn't exactly equipped properly for some of the tasks they might face.

Malerion miscalculated Trace’s desires on Exegol which was both frustrating and troublesome. What the Sith was after was not necessarily on the planet itself, he was hoping that he could get Trace to help with the integration and leave quietly with the knowledge of Exegol and a new Lightsaber. Now she seemed to want to tie herself to the expedition he was already building. Problem was she was planning for something he had no interest in.

A small sneer pricked at the edge of his lips before Malerion shrugged, unclipping the Lightsaber and tossing it across towards the blind Sith. Hopefully she saw it in her Force Sight less it crashed into the side of her chest. “Here, I don’t like debts, payment for the questioning.” He said from his seat.

“We will need two ships then, one to command each if you intend to come. We can split whatever loot we find.”

Trace snatched the lightsaber deftly out of the air, squeezing the metal tightly in her hand and twisting her wrist to gain a better feel for the item. It was good to hold a saber again. She moved it down and clipped it to her belt.

Respectable, she said, in response to his comment about not wanting to be in debt.

She couldn't help but get the impression that there was something he wasn't telling her, but she didn't know what it was.

Okay. Do you have excavation team or droids lined up? she asked probingly. There was a lot of planning to do, and it didn't seem like it had been done. Or maybe it was just different planning that had been done.

“I have secured a droid facility which will supply most of the manpower we need. However, no excavation equipment yet, perhaps you can secure that.” He offered, not caring if she actually secured the equipment or not. His main thought was on transport now.

“Do you have any leads on transportation, they would need to be larger than something we can buy on the open market. Imperial ships would be the best.” He asked, ideally they would need something with a large carrying capacity to get all the droids he needed on board, a corvette or frigate size at least.

Trace thought about their options for transportation of that size, and the options weren't really great. The droids might be able to man one, but the two of them alone were far from in a position to be using such a vehicle at the moment.

We could steal a bulk freighter from the mining guild or we could try to find something usable at the ship-breaking yards. But ship-breaking has a lot of security in orbit to prevent exactly that, she said. Not to mention, most of the ships that were there were not in working condition.

The Mining Guild still has operations on Mustafar and as you're aware, they're no longer an aligned system. We'll have to make multiple trips to get the droids there, she said. It wasn't Imperial ships, but Imperial ships were harder to take by far.

Meet on Mustafar? she asked.

A bulk freighter made sense, it wouldn’t have the firepower he would prefer considering where he was planning to go. But it could at least provide the shipping space he needed for the droids he was planning on bringing. “If we can take the ship, I can give the coordinates to where my droids are. We can pick them up in one then head to Exegol.” He replied, sitting forward in his chair. Things were moving quickly. This was good.

“If you head out first, I will need to confirm the droids are ready for transport. I can then meet you there.” He added, standing from his seat, holding out his hand a smirk on his face. “Business seems to be going strong, Miss Trace.”

It was a short while later, Trace had left, promising to meet him on Mustafar once she had located the bulk freighters they required. The sun had fully set and the lights of the house were bright, following Malerion as moved from room to room.

Stepping into the old reception room which had been the scene of Trace’s ‘questioning’ earlier that day. The Sith traitor was still bound to the table, her eyes rolled back in her head, slowly drifting in and out of consciousness. Malerion looked at the nearby droid giving it a nod, the metallic creature approached Miss Storm, slamming a shot of adrenaline into the woman’s arm.

A few moments later and the woman was awake, fear in her eyes as they locked onto Malerion’s cruel grin. “Now we are alone, I have some further questions. About a blade of sorts…”
