It was pretty ballsy to place a hit on a navy captain but even ballsier to take it. Émi supposed a lot of things had changed since the past. The New Republic disbanded, leaving both its people, navy, and army left to wander. "Must've been waiting for the right time to place this one," she said to herself while walking through the street of Ord Mantell City. The city's atmosphere wasn't the worst Émilienne has experienced but it certainly wasn't the best. Ord Mantell City was still packed with syndicate members snooping around. It was warmer in this area as well; her all black attire didn't help either. The occasional gust of wind always managed to blow dust directly into ones eyes, but you could never close them as to prevent some kid pickpocketing you.

For the past week, Émilienne stalked the movements of a New Republic supply outpost within the city. She tracked where shipments went, where they come from, and what they were. Once did she catch a glimpse of the Captain standing by the front gate; he rarely left the outpost. Émilienne worried if the Captain knew about the hit, but she assumed he would have just fled the planet if he did. "The bloke must be living mighty comfortably behind the walls of his 'palace'..." She would have to find a way to infiltrate the outpost, or draw the Captain out. The outpost was adequately guarded enough for a direct approach to be discouraged. Émi preferred to do things as quietly as possible anyways. However, she couldn't remain patient forever; the possibility for other hitmen to be in the area existed. Within the small but chaotic crime-riddled city, any individual could be her competitor. It felt rather exhilarating, since it reminded Émi of the times she spent hunting with her siblings.

At the end of the week a larger shipment of supplies was scheduled to arrive at the outpost. "Surely he'll be there.. Émilienne thought to herself. She made her way to the marketplace to intercept a transport as the first step of her plan. The smell of barbecue meat skewers from food vendors traveling along the walkways and dirt paths. There was a wider dirt path that struck through the center of the market. She took a seat at a vendor near the path, waiting for the transport to arrive.

Orchid loved planets like these.

The dustier and more derelict, the better. Abandonment always gave off the sense of hopelessness. The NR credit value had fallen significantly thanks to the governmental implosion, and thus, left people hungry and in want of a job.

Orchid knew exactly how to manifest the results she wanted.

To make a rat run out of his nest, what do you do? she hummed quietly under her breath, beginning to set up her sniper rifle under the shade of a covert rooftop access. Checked the scope, the sights, the barrel. Calmly, she would begin to methodically set up, her mask firmly in place, her outfit as generic and nondescript as possible.

You either burn the nest...

She clicked the safety on, and swept her vision over the domicile of her target, ..Or you burn around it and smoke the bastard out in a panic. She knew she wouldn't be the only one sniffing around this bounty, which was why she made sure to ask for a little bit of help. Her speeder was parked nearby, prepared for if she would have to make a swift pursuit, or a swifter getaway.

I need just one clear shot. Barring that, a closer aim. Even rats poke their noses out sometimes.

After a few minutes of waiting, the first step of Émilienne's plan arrived. A K790-S80 troop transport dragged it's way down the wide dirt path. There were many openings within the transport, allowing easy access for anyone able to get close enough. Typically that would be impossible, since the transport allows for multiple passengers to fire their weapons out of the sides. However, this transport was filled with supplies, not men. Émi could get as close as she desired.

Within her hand she held two stun gas grenades. As the transport passed her, Émilienne rose from her seat and approached the transport from behind. She crept her way up the side of the vehicle, and then tossed both of the grenades inside. The transport trudged along for a few more seconds until it eventually came to a halt. Émi waited for a moment to let the gas flow out of the transport before entering. Her blaster was in hand and ready in case it wasn't as affective as she hoped to be. Approaching the front she spotted the driver of the vehicle resting peacefully. Without hesitation she took his helmet off and put a blaster bolt directly into his head before pulling him out of the seat.

It'll be a bit baggy but I'll have to manage for now. The hunter undressed the trooper and put on his uniform and helmet, putting his body inside one of the supply crates to keep him hidden. As a safety precaution she stacked a few boxes on top to make it less noticeable. With the first step of her plan complete, she then moved onto the next. Émilienne plopped down into the driver seat and continued where her dead friend left off.

At the outpost the captain stepped out of his tent for a moment, walking within a circle of shady individuals. They weren't outside for long as they entered a nearby storeroom to continue their conversation.

A few credit chits and a bag of sweets, and her plan was ready for action.

Kneeling, she posed the rifle along its' tripod, taking her time to breathe, to relax. Soon, chaos would erupt from within, and she would bide her time, to steadily aim at the entrance and exit to the storeroom.

From outside, the roar of speeder engines would whine over the sounds of a sleepy outpost. Three youths, dressed in bright colors and in flashy speeders, came barreling through, letting out whoops as they began to swiftly circle the outpost.

"That's it, kiddos, time to earn your lunch money."

Left, right, and center, they would hoot and holler, before something would flash in their hands as the first few alert members of the camp darted out, preparing to face whatever violence was coming their way.

Each of them would toss a concussive grenade behind them as they sped on, the booms shaking the very ground of the outpost as they would cackle, whoop and holler to duck and weave to avoid the blaster fire that began to spread out in a panic, darting off into the various alleyways and sidestreets to avoid pursuit.

"Break off, kids, recess is over."

Now to see if the mark would hunker in his hidey hole or come screeching out; either way, the Orchid would perhaps add another plant to her collection. @Altaria

A few more guards left the outpost to help fire at the three youths but their attempts were futile. Eventually a senior ranking individual would yell at them to halt their fire in fear they would hit a civilian. The commotion wasn't enough to draw out the captain. With the New Republic's militaristic force dwindling, their soldiers have become a bit of a laughing stock, especially within this city. The crime riddled Ord Mantell City's group of heinous individuals were much more free to do whatever it is they wanted. This type of commotion became the 'norm'.

Émilienne began to approach the front gate of the outpost. Panic began to set in as she noticed there were numerous guards. "There's only supposed to be two... what in the bloody hell happened?" It was a slight hiccup in her plan, but she couldn't abandon it now.

One of the guards instructed her to stop the transport as she drew closer. Émilienne obliged and stepped out as well to speak to them. "Something happen?" she asked while pointing at the extra men. "Yeah those damn kids again, sooner or later this outpost is going to be overrun. Anyways, we're gonna check the truck out for a second in case of them snuck up on ya and fiddled with it."

As she stepped aside her heart began to race. Never in the weeks she's watched have they checked one of the transports. They began to check around the transport and underneath, looking for any explosive device or other machinery that could have been planted. One of them entered the transport to inspect the inside; Émi poked her head in to see what he was up to. "Man.." he said "it's been awhile since our last big batch of food. I wonder what's inside this one" he kicked the box that contained the dead guard.

"Don't kick the supplies now, could be something brittle in their like porg eggs." The guard chuckled "Hey relax, you must be new around here or something." He moved the boxes that were on top aside after peeking into them, his hands slowly moving to the main one. Out of panic Émilienne stepped into the transport, pulled her blaster, and shot him directly in the unprotected sliver between his shoulder pads and helmet. She swiftly made her way to the driver seat and floored it, ramming through the gate into the main yard of the outpost. Blaster fire began to swarm her but fortunately the transport was heavily armored. However, she would need to take cover. Émilienne made a hard left turn, crashing the transport into the storeroom. The Captain and a group of men took cover as the transport made its way in, getting caught halfway through the hole it made. All of them pulled out their blasters and began firing into the front of the transport.

She sighed when the transport careened into the front of the building; this meant that she would have to move.

"Damn," she growled to herself, glaring down the barrel at the flash of red blaster fire lighting up the front. "Those idiots. Don't they know that thing is more armored than a Sith corvette?" Tsking, she shouldered her rifle, eyeing the landscape.

"Guess I've got to do the dirty work," she grumbled, striding over to hop into her idling speeder and revving it.

"Kiddos, time for a second demonstration. Double or nothing, loser to get tagged loses their bonus," she called out over the comms, hearing a mad scramble on the other end of the call. Tucking the burner comm into a sleeve, she floored the Joben speeder bike and swooped down to ground level.

From far off, those in the camp would hear the whine of the speeders as the youths came back, cackling and whooping to stir the perimeter and interior guard blasters once again into firing.

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the encampment, Irys swept over the roof of the storage facility, stealthily leaping onto the roof and reaching onto her belt, mindful to keep out of the range of any possible blaster fire from those within the vehicle or storeroom. Plucking out two stun grenades, she would assess the distance for a second, before tossing both through the hole in the wall towards the group and ducking back out of range of the stun grenades; if the person in the transport was a rival hitman, perhaps they would be in the radius of the grenades, but both would be tossed in to detonate on the small group firing at the transport's front.

If they hit, she wouldn't mind slipping in to finish off the bounty she'd been given. If not, she would simply pack up. After all, there were always more hits in mind, but this one was especially nice, given the credit amount and the bonus that could be tacked on.

Or, perhaps, she could even share.

Émilienne got out of her driver seat and made her way towards one of the side doors of the transport which was within the storeroom. She paused, trying to come up with a new plan on the spot. Stepping out would get her gunned down immediately, and she didn't have a gadget that could help her out in this situation.

All of a sudden she heard two bangs subsequent of one another, and the blaster fire from within the storeroom halted. Émi poked her head out of the transport to see the group of men covering their faces and walking aimlessly. Without hesitation she stepped out and fired two bolts. Both hitting two of the gun men, but her hit wasn't in sight. She figured he was behind some sort of cover trying to regain his bearings. In an odd shot attempt Émilliene tossed one of her repulsor-blades in an arc, hoping to curve it around an obstruction and hit her target. Her aim was a bit off and she hit another man that was dazed.

Unsure of how long the effect would last she ran towards the left side of the storeroom to take cover. It would be easier to work her way up towards the target using boxes and crates as cover.
