Enough was enough, the blonde female had concluded shortly after she had tripped up over the charred carcass of the domestic model astromech droid that had kept the Ti'varnus household looking to a degree presentable, despite the imposing and aged exterior. For so long Alyse had neglected to carry out any remote form of upkeep withing her home, excluding the basic chores. Partly to her upbringing with servents under her parents employ, but mostly because baring the occasion that she hosted guests from the Eternal's ranks. The cultist spent most of her time within her study, pouring over dark texts, and writing notes in her journals.

The Legionnaire who would mostly frequent the household, Trinity should she stumble into the property think that Alyse had either died, or moved on to another location, leaving the place for someone else to move into. The general state of disarray had been well and truly changed, the clutter was gone, the place was dusted and cleaned, the small furry inhibitants had been captured and stored in a cage.... For future research. Despite the dark and gloomy decor, the place seemed alot lighter and less stuffy. All that remained was to tackle and clear out the collected stockpile of junk from the basement.

Standing up straight with a light groan, Alyse pressed her hands against the small of her back, applying a light pressure against the tightening muscles. Her gaze panning over the basement for a moment, eyes lingering on the stack of boxes she had sifted through. Containing nothing more than broken and aged junk, despite the odd item that had sparked a moment of sentimental thought - it just seemed that what ever wasn't needed just got stuffed down in the basement. Her gaze moved away from the boxes she had stacked by the stairs leading up to the outside, where the flickering orange light of the bonfire crackled away. This wasn't a simple tidy up and sort out, this was a full on cull, anuthi g that Posed little use or value was sent to the flames. Alyse wanted to have a fresh start, clear out her house of the relics of the past, but also with the view to repurpose the basement into a hidden space where she could practice her dark art, away from any prying eyes or hapless guests. Her plan to turn the basement into a sealed off and hidden chamber would take much more than a clear out, but a least with the space emptied out, then she could get come contractor's in to 'seal' the basement off, so it could only be accessed by a hidden door.

But that would come all in due time, for now however there was the matter of sifting through the remainder of the musky boxes. A curious expression crossed Alyse's features as she opened up a brittle duraplast foot locker, that seemed to contain an aged and well worn black and dark grey uniform. Lifting out and opening up the tunic, the young woman came to the conclusion that that the cut and styling was military in design. A bemused expression crossing her features as her gaze fell upon the insignia of the First Order. "Curious, father kept that one a secret, then again doubt he ever knew about this trunk" Alyse muttered to herself, knowing that not once had there been any mention of her familys ties been with the First order, which was surprising given she was groomed from birth to be a follower of the Darkside. Stuffing the tunic onto the lid of the open foot locker, the blonde continued to rummage through the contents, before retrieving a tattered operations handbook. Flicking through the pages, Alyse skimmed through the contents of the book, her eyes passing over the various diagrams and drill orders. Before setting on a series of standing orders or some form of tenants of conduct. "security in strength, order through obedience" she read aloud before flicking further through the book, coming to a stop at a couple of pages with images of some rather historical figures from the Resistance. "High priority targets, designated opdestab" she murmured as her gaze focused in on the agents of renown from the Resistance era, before closing the book with a slight sigh, as interesting as this find was, she doubted any of it really would be of much use, beyond being something of a time capsule.

Blackness. Nothingness.

But then words were picked up by the droid’s aural sensors.

“…security in strength, order through obedience.”

The low-power state of hibernation that the droid rested in was interrupted. To Foley, no time had passed...

Mere seconds had passed. The droid ran a quick series of redundancy checks, just to ensure it had an accurate reading with its onboard systems.

Near the far corner of the dilapidated basement area of the manor, just a few scant meters from the voice that activated the droid, F03-A3 was standing erect and dormant for over a century. It was among tall containers, boxes, tattered blankets and a plethora of junk and discarded miscellany that effectively camouflaged the assassin droid for all this time. Dust and cobwebs had covered the droid to a point that it was nigh invisible against the wall.

4DfFCrX.png

From stillness to sudden stimuli to those around it, Foley, with its systems now online, had its electroreceptors come to life in a bright eerie red. The tall droid took a step forward from the boxes, piles of drapes and trash covering it. Blankets slid off its broad shoulders as the metal apparition separated itself from the wall. Its bright optics stared at Alysa. Before speaking, its head swiveled to the left and to the right, seeming to assess its immediate surroundings before the optics came back to rest back on the human in front of it.

“F03-3A is the designation assigned to this unit. You have utilized a top-secret activation phrase causing an early initiation of F03-3A's systems. For self-preservation purposes, F03-3A requests your intention for early activation."

The blonde cultists brow furrowed, as the sound of servos powering up touched upon her hearing, her gaze narrowing as she tentatively nudged the foot locker with the toe of her shoe, unsure if she had activated a locking mechanism within the opened container. It wasn't until the sound of movement, boxes and junk being moved from thier place of decades if not longer rest. That Alyse spun round on her heel, before letting out a startled yelp, as her sight was greeted by a towering Crimson droid staring back at her through its glowing red optics.

Her initial instinct was to reach for her lightsaber, well had she been carrying it then she would have. But after all she was in her home and for the best part her lightsaber was kept locked away, what she did have however was the Force, and without hesitation she opened her mind into it, summoning and channeling the Energies through her in readiness. A confused expression crossed the blondes features as the droid announced its identity, before stating that she had initiated a top secret protocol through her words. An audible "Huh?" could be heard escaping Alyse's lips as she tried to process just what the Kirff was going on.

"F03-3A was it? There was no intention for activation" Alyse spoke out as she cast an inquisitive gaze offer the unusual looking droid. "Please Clarify and state present location, primary directive and present year" she instructed after a moment of thought and contemplaton, figuring it was best to get as much of an understanding as to why there was a droid of all things that had clearly been hidden and forgotten about in the depths of her family manor's basement. First the revelation that one of her late relatives was an officer of the first order, and now this? None of which she would have even entertained the thought of occurring, especially during what she had thought was going to be a long and arduous clean up of her home.

F03-3A tilted his head to the side slightly, taking another look at Alyse when she said she did not intend to activate him. One after the other, she asked clarifying questions to the droid. The droid pulled the remaining rags from its frame and stepped around out of the corner. Much of the junk fell into a pile as the droid vacated the space it had been in for decades. Its bright electroreceptors studied Alyse and finally answered her in its mechanical voice, “F03-3A activated low-power status within the Ti’Varnus household on the planet of Bakura. F03-3A’s primary directive is to maintain and preserve the First Order. According to F03-3A’s calculations, approximately 100 years have elapsed since the Battle of Exegol. Fortunate you have brought F03-3A out of his low power state. F03-3A diagnostics did not detect an anomaly in that system. F03-3A was scheduled to emerge from low power status 80 years ago...”

The droid stood very still, much like that of a statue. He continued, “F03-3A is my designation. My name is "Foley". Foley requests your name.”

A sigh escaped the blonde's lips as she listened to droid respond to her inquiries, her brow furrowing as FO3-3A made mention of her family homestead, just how deep had her family's affiliation with servants of the Darkside truly run? First there was presumably her greatgrandfather's foot locker, from his time within the First Order, and now there was a droid who's function was was to maintain and preserve the First Order. As to how it was to achieve this purpose, or even the manner that the droid would perform this function, whilst her exposure to droids was limited, she could tell just by the droid's appearance that he wasn't of the conventional service droid design.

Pursing her lips in thought as she processed the droid's explanation, Alyse's musings were cut short as the droid introduced itself, this time referring to himself as Foley, before requesting her name. "I am Alyse Ti'Varnus" the blonde offered, before she turned her attention back to the foot locker, closing the operations manual and dropping it into the open luggage container. "Though I think you might want to plug into the Holonet" she added whilst she turned her attention back to the droid, folding her arms across her chest. "There's a lot you have missed over the last hundred years, The First Order has fallen. They crumbled during the years that followed the battle of Exegol, after Supreme Leader Ren fell it created a power vacuum that caused the chain of command to implode with infighting" she explained, giving the droid an insight into the events that took place after the battle of the Exegol and the fall of the droid's former masters.

Taking a deep breath, the blonde cultist went into her own mind, her brow furrowing in deep contemplation - a hand moving up to her lips as she bit on the knuckle of her index finger. She wasn't quite sure as to what the droid's reaction was going to be to the news of the First Order's demise, whilst she doubted that it would lash out in a rage fit of denial - she wouldn't dismiss the droid acting out, so as a precaution kept the Force flowing through her should she need to defend herself.

The droid tilted its head the other way as it listened to Alyse’s explanation of what had occurred while he was dormant. It seemed the droid was processing the news. Many silent moments passed when she was done explaining the current affairs. Its head came upright and turned to look down at Alyse. Foley answered her, “Predictable outcome following the Battle of Exegol. Foley’s theory follows the data this unit received that internal inconsistencies and lack of loyalty contributed to the rapid decline of the First Order. If Alyse Ti’Varnus’ information is correct, then the evidence will display that the First Order is currently unsalvageable—at least in the form it was last known to Foley. Imperative that Foley realigns primary directive to current state…”

Pause. The droid takes another non-threatening step towards Alyse. It continues to speak as it processes the information she gave him.

“The Ti’Varnus family was a line known to possess loyalty to the First Order. Alyse Ti’Varnus is a living descendant. Foley requests the role of Alyse Ti’Varnus. Foley’s inquiry to the blood member of the Ti’Varnus family is...what is the current status of forces aligned with the entity formerly known as the First Order under Supreme Commander Ren?”

A bemused expression crossed the cultists features, as the droid revealed that her family had been long known supporters of the First Order, and presumably the original predecessor, the Galactic Empire. Well it seemed that not only had her parents hidden the fact that they were dark side cultists from her until she was sixteen, they seemed to have kept this other revelation hidden. Though as much as she could figure that being declared supporters of a fallen regine that sought to dominate and rule the galaxy by force, might be something you wouldn't openly want to broad cast in certain regions of the universe - Bakura however, was not really one such example.

There were often many who would grumble at the fact that the Galaxy was free, some reciting facts and figures that eluded to the belief that Bakura was better under Imperial rule. The Repulsor factories were in constant high production, through countless military contracts. Now the former bulwark of the planets economy had to compete on the Galactic market, against countless firms that could produce the same tech, at a lower price. The only thing that kept the planet's repulsor factories open was the legacy of quality and reliability that had been forged over centuries if not millennia.

Yet there was still the question from the droid that remained unanswered through the blonde cultists musing. Well more precisely what was the current incarnation of the First Order that she served? Truthfully she was unsure on how the answer, the cults of the darkside, like the Sith Eternal back in the days of the Empire and even the first order, was a closely guarded secret, that only a few if any at all knew of them, yet alone any one even knowing of the Sith. As there had been so many times before thought out the Galaxys history, the Empire that had often been the face of Sith rule, was merely a front to hide and conceal the true nature's of those pulling the strings from the darkest shadows of the Heirarcy.

Yet unlike before, there was no front for the Sith Eternal as they currently stood, they were without Empire or any true alias to hide behind. The Sith Eternal as far as she was aware, was vulnerable - should the wider galaxy become aware to their presence and the continued darkside's following, there would inevitably so much at risk. Which headed the call for those of the Eternal to remain hidden in plain sight, and don't attract attention that could expose the cult of the Eternal. That very same logic applied, for the time being for how Alyse would answer the droid's inquiry as to who the defacto proxy for the First Order had become.

Pursing her lips in thought, the Sith cultist mused over how she was going to respond to the droid. "The current state of entities, derived from the remnants of the First Order, is at best fractured. At worst non existant" Alyse summised to begin with, a light resigned shrug. "The Galaxy is a different place from what it had been over two hundred years ago. Whilst there are some that wish to see the rise of Imperial rule return to all the rims, our numbers are too few and our resources limited" she added her lips pursed in thought, the Ashen blonde locks of her getting teased with her fingers. "We don't really have a true name to be known by, think for the time being. Legion should suffice Foley"

The droid studied her as she spoke. It continued to remain motionless and silent as she explained the current state of the First Order. The assassin droid finally inquired,Foley has heard the pronouns ‘our’ and ‘we’. Foley interprets this as Alyse Ti’Varnus currently still active in this iteration of the First Order—or a similar organization. Foley also surmises that there is contact with others that are joined with you in this Legion in its current state. This ‘Legion’ that you speak of—you are a part of this Legion. Foley’s protocols comprehend and allow the idea of discretion and confidentiality. If this is the current iteration of the First Order, then Foley will aid Alyse Di’Varnus in her pursuits to restore this Legion. Are these terms acceptable to Alyse Ti’Varnus?”

Pursing her lips as she listened to the droid digest the selective information that she a had provided, the blondes gaze focused on the Crimson photo receptors of the droid as it continued to process and summarise the choice of wording she had used, concluding that though the usage of selected pronouns and terms there were others that Alyse worked with. Nodding initially at the droids conclusion and statement that it was programmed to understand and carry out the funtions of confidentiality and discretion, before inquiring whether the terms of the droids were acceptable to Alyse.

"Yes Foley, the terms are acceptable. Your assistance will be invaluable in the days to come" she responded, before closing the footlocker lid and sitting down atop the duraplast container. Her gaze narrowing slightly as she regarded the mechanical being, her mind wondering just how much was the droid aware of the darker machinations of those who were truly controlling the First Order. She had an understanding that most droids if not all had hardwired locks and unbreakable lines of coding that would prevent them from ever acknowledging the existance of the Sith, after all is was such a Galactic taboo to speak of the darksiders that had over the millenia of galatic history, often dominated and ruled the populace - she was curious to see if this droid would be any different to the others.

"Foley, state what knowledge you have on Supreme Leaders Kylo Ren, Snoke and Emperor Palpatine" Alyse inquired before reaching off to the side to pick up a rather crumpled pack of cigarettes from the nearby worktop. "Override any restrictions that are in place on imperial data files" she added, hoping that it would allow the droid to provide the uncensored truth behind the three leaders of the Darkside.

“Foley believes our directives align. Foley will serve Alyse Ti’Varnus.”

The assassin droid’s photoreceptors followed her as she settled on the footlocker.

"Foley, state what knowledge you have on Supreme Leaders Kylo Ren, Snoke and Emperor Palpatine. Override any restrictions that are in place on imperial data files.”

Silence.

At first, it may have appeared as if the droid dd not hear her request, but then a stream of information was revealed, “DESTAB Project, Number 845874, designed the F0A-3 series assassin droids’ primary function as destabilization and insurrection in specific populations. Embedded in these directives were the maintenance of the First Order. Specific tasking came along with this directive—do not aid and abed Jedi, under any circumstances. Included in this specification was that that if the situation was advantageous, elimination of Jedi was permissible. Jedi are known force-users.”

The points of clarification and revelation continued with the droid only pausing briefly.

“Supreme Leader Snoke, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, and Emperor Palpatine shared an uncommon characteristic. Specifically, my database classifies these historical leaders as force-users, not unlike the Jedi. However, these leaders were diametrically opposed to the Jedi. Historically, many factions exist that have opposed the Jedi, but the list of factions that oppose Jedi that are also force-users are significantly smaller.”

Pause.

“In correlating this data with my programming, Foley theorizes that these leaders were part of an ancient religion, much like the Jedi. Some of Foley’s programming is incomplete, but one of the more recent database entries was the basic description of a lightsaber, also known as a ‘laser sword', and its functionality. Suspect future strategy of the First Order was to give more tasking to this unit and expand the role of the DESTAB project. Foley speaks four languages: Basic, Binary, Huttese, and one additional. The last language is designated LANGUAGE S1. I have not seen any characters of this language, so Foley suspects that this language also had something to do with future tasking.”

Pause.

“Did Foley answer your inquiry adequately?”

Slowly retrieving a cigarette from the packet, the blonde cultist kept a loose lingering gaze over the droid as it seemed to silently process the request, is photoreceptors flickering slightly as its memory cores were accessed and all the data retrieved and analysed. Her fingers lightly and carefully straightening out the slighyly bent cigarette, before reaching Into her pocket at retrieving an old metal flip lid lighter and proceeding to ignite the tip of the rolled tobacco stick.

Folding a leg other the other, before leaning forward as the droid started to speak, doing as requested reciting all the knowledge that it possessed of the three former Sith rulers, initially speaking of the programming that forbade the collaboration and aiding of Jedi, a slight purse of her lips crossed Alyse's features as shr dragged on her cigarette. Her mind contemplating whether over time she would need to alleviate that standing command, after all the Eternal were not focused on the eradication of the Jedi, rather than thier re-education.

Intently the blonde, listened as Foley spoke of the historical leaders, Noting that they were all force users g a promising sign at least. The droid has access and knowledge of the the former rulers, that many of even the upper echelons of the respective imperial heirarchy were unaware of. From what her research had even noted, it was only the Crimson clad guards that knew of Palpatines true abilities in the Force. Leaning forward as thr droid came to conclude that the leaders being part of a ancient force using religion. Before proceeding to talk about recent updates to its programming. Mentioning lightsabers or laser swords by some of the lesser knowledgable denizens of the Galaxy, Alyse pursed her lips in thought for a moment before, turning her gaze curiosily onto the droid as it commented on being programmed to communicate in four languages.

Three of them were pretty standard fir Galactic language standards, but the fourth unknown one. Well that was interesting, known only as S1, the blonde contemplated whether she would test the theory that was brewing in her mind. Figuring if at anything, the droid would recognise her as being a Force user. Alyse Rose up from her seated position on the foot locker, taking another quick drag from her cigarette before snuffing it out on the floor with her heeled boot and proceeding to step off to the side of the basement, her hand wrapping around the ornate chrome hued hilt of her lightsaber. Her chestnut hued gaze scanning over the engraved markings present along the main body of the emitter, the engravings inlaid with gold filament. Making the inscribed markings stand out all the more prominent.

Handing over the hilt of her lightsaber to Foley, the blonde cultist positioned the markings so they were the right way up. "Try reading this" Alyse spoke out, as she ran a finger along the upper most line of markings. She knew what the markings would translate to, the first line of the Sith Code - she had spent long enough translating and decyphering ancient Sith texts to recognise the markings. But she was curious to see whether this S1 language designation was what she suspected it to be.

She knew what the markings would translate to, the first line of the Sith Code - she had spent long enough translating and decyphering ancient Sith texts to recognise the markings. But she was curious to see whether this S1 language designation was what she suspected it to be.

The red electroreceptors examined the lightsaber as Alyse handed it over. His receptors shot up to meet hers and then looked back down at the weapon. With his manipulators, the droid turned the weapon in his hand, examining the lightsaber, shifting it to two to, spinning it slowly with his mechanical digits. The droid’s vocabulator began…

“Nwûl tash.
Dzwol shâsotkun.
Shâsotjontû châtsatul nu tyûk.
Tyûkjontû châtsatul nu midwan.
Midwanjontû châtsatul nu asha.
Ashajontû kotswinot itsu nuyak.
Wonoksh Qyâsik nun.”

Looking up at Alyse and seeing that she was expecting more, he looked back down at the small, raised inscriptions on the lightsaber and continued, “In Basic, these words are interpreted as ‘Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.”

His head titled back up to meet Alyse’s eyes. It paused in silence for many moments before commenting, “Foley can read these inscriptions. My S1 language programming was activated when translating these characters. What form of communication is this called?”

A wry knowing smile crossed her lips as she listened to the droid as it recited the code of the Sith. Her chestnut hued gaze fixing on the droids Crimson photo receptors, before narrowing as she intently listened to the dead language being spoken in its native tongue - it had been the first time the ancient dialect had been heard by the young cultist. For the best part she could translate the ancient text and symbols into Galactic basic, but actually speak it? That was a trait that she had believed long since lost, until now.

Taking the returned weapon back from the Droid, Alyse listened as Foley questioned her as to what the language was called. Pursing her lips in thought, as her arms folded over her chest. "I'm not sure to be honest" Alyse responded initially, before looking over the markings she had etched onto her hilt. "It's a language that has long been considered dead and somewhat taboo, some have theorised it's Massassi in origin, but some view its links with that of the oldest of darkside regilions. I'd wager you're probably the first person to have spoken the language audibly in many a decade or three" she continued, before fastening her lightsaber onto her belt.

"Very few rarely have access to ancient archaeological texts that can translate the symbols into the earliest forms of Basic" Alyse resumed after her weapon was stowed away and secured in place, before returning her attention to the taller mechanical being infront of her. Eyes narrowing slightly as she studied the droid for a moment, the excitement of the droids reactivation had started to subside, leaving the cold hard realisation that, strictly speaking droids on Bakura were pretty much outlawed - baring the diplomatic ones. "Foley, out of curiosity. Do you have alternative outer casings stowed away down here?" Alyse enquired thoughtfully for a moment, her brow furrowing in thought before she looked off to the sides behind the droid. "because, no offence by the way - we may need to adjust your appearance so that it's less.... Threatening, the Bakuran society are very cautious around droids, baring those who are in service of the planet's government"

The droid seemed to take in the woman’s words and he replied, “Foley will designate language S1 as Massassi Derivative until the name of the language is made available. Due to the potential stigma surrounding this language. Foley will not reveal that this language is known to him.”

He listened to her words concerning Bakura and their stance on droids. He added, "You are perceptive on Foley’s capabilities. This unit possesses multiple appearances in order to blend in with the local populous.”

Reaching over to a rounded container sitting right next to him, it reached over and punched in a code. The top slid to the side with a hiss. Methodically, Foley began stripping off his plates of armor. As each plate went off, he placed it in the “barrel” shaped container. He reached in and withdrew a pair of optics, replacing his red ones. The area was now bathed in yellowish illumination and not red. Once done, he punched back in the code and the top on the container slowly locked back into place. Grabbing the barrel by the handle, Foley looked up at Alyse. Its voice a few octaves lower and said excitedly, “PD-5Y Service Droid, at your service, Ms. Ti’Varnus…”

A curious yet somewhat disturbed expression crossed the blondes features as she watched the droid seemingly rip off its own casing and swap it out with another, before visibly cringing at the sight of the droid as it gouged out its own photo receptors and replaced them with yellow ones. Whilst she figured that droids would be somewhat free from the sensation of pain, she couldn't help but wince at the sight that was befalling her - she often was a bit squeamish when it came of horror vidmovies, and the ease in which the droid non chalantly took itself apart was all to reminiscent of a movie involving a Dathomiri witch manipulating someones mind, to force them to huridly mutilate themselves in front of a mirror.

Shuddering slightly at the thought of the movie, it certainly wouldn't be one she'd be dailing up to watch again any time soon, Alyse took a deep breath to recenter herself, before processing the change in Foleys appearance, the crimson armoured casing now white, with golden hued photo receptors staring back at her, addressing the blonde and identifying itself as PD-5Y. Blinking a few times in bemusement, she would never have thought that Foleys change in appearance would be so absolute. "Very impressive" Alyse responded as she surveyed the droid up and down, as a light smile crossed her features. "The First order most certainly had put a lot of thought into your design" she added with a light chuckle, her gaze moving away from the droid and up towards the high level window of the basement to gauge the current time, noticing that the sunlight had started to drop down. "Though I suppose we best be headed upstairs, unless you prefer to stay down here?" L
