BIOGRAPHY
Maff Sawin is a Cerean who is, at heart, a curious soul. He found his passion lay in the field of anatomy and biology at a young age. As a child, he would bring home specimens of dead bugs and animals, examining them, sketching them, and learning as much as he could about the creatures. Although this would last quite some time, he began to find living, moving subjects to be much more interesting, and he did not hold back when it came to live dissections or experiments.
Pursuing his passion, he eventually studied chemistry and biology before being accepted into a top medical research school on Coruscant. There, he discovered that he was Force-sensitive. However, rather than joining the Jedi or the Sith, whom he believed would limit his research, he made the decision to continue with his studies. He graduated with full honors and earned a license to become a practicing doctor in the Republic.
However, within a year his license was revoked due to malpractice. It was revealed that he had been using untested medicines of his own making on patients without their knowledge or permission. Over the course of the next few years, he dabbled in private research on various diseases, but none would interest him as much as AMS. For what could be more fascinating than the notion of life after death?
He has furthered his collection of data since then, obtaining his own laboratory on Deysum III with the help of two Sith. Their intentions didn’t matter to him, so long as he could continue his research.
