I have a question. How are we to dictate the characters 'power lvl'???? Thats my only concern?

@Talon maara power levels are BS we all know that. I mean look at Tien when he fights Second form cell with just screaming and one technique he holds off the guy that almost no one was able to handle.

Power level is one of those things that's sort of there, but rarely actually adhered to in the series - it fluctuates based on narrative convenience.

As this is meant to be a primarily collaborative experience, it shouldn't factor in much at all. If there are disputes that can't be reconciled through discussion, then I'll make a ruling on it.

That said, though, don't build your characters expecting them to compete on the same level as the canon characters - at least not initially. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, but if you expect to challenge all the saiyans and wipe the floor with them and be declared supreme badass of all time then...no, that's not gonna happen. >.>

@Green Ranger i have actually been looking at other DBZ sites and i think they have a good set up. its a bit in depth but I will list them and you can check them out.

I know you're new here, but since technically that could be considered advertising alternate RP sites (even if unintentional), it's kinda against site rules.

That aside, I'm not really gonna go sign up to a board just to look at those systems that I don't know anything about.

No offence, but power levels are such a non-factor IMHO, it's not worth implementing a system for.

Yeah, the reason power levels are kinda ridiculous in DBZ is intentional if I recall. Akira Toriyama made sure that they were consistently wrong or people could futz with them to point out how arbitrary it is to try and quantify someone's power.

That's right. In fact power level was proven wrong just as it was introduced, when Raditz was completely sure Goku and Picolo together couldn't beat him. Vegeta himself told Nappa "Raditz died for trusting those scouters too much. Those warriors can change their powerlevel freely". Ginyu was aware of that when his scouter read Goku's powerlevel as 60,000 (or 80,000?) but Ginyu said his real power was around 180,000.
