BIOGRAPHY
Ulic Vox is a Kiffar that was a force sensitive that joined the Jedi at birth. He was also born with his people’s ability of psychometry, which only happened to one out of one hundred Kiffar. Psychometry is an ability in which one can sense the memories of an inanimate object, even if the object used to be living, like a corpse. He trained hard with his lightsaber as much as he did with the force as an initiate on Jedha. With numbers running short among the ranks of the Order and the Hundred-year war coming close to an end, Ulic was tossed into the midst of the Hundred Year war at a young age, shortly after the success of his Gathering ceremony. Due to his young age, however, he was taken under the wing of a Neutalon Jedi master to help continue his training on the battle field. Many years went by as the numbers of both exiles and Jedi grew thinner and thinner, yet the battles became more and more bloody. It all culminated on Ilum. As the blast came that seemed to destroy both Jedi and exile alike, Ulic’s master, as a last-ditch effort to save the boy, severed Ulic’s connection to the force, in hopes of sparring his life as a final act of sacrifice. He succeeded.

When Ulic came to, he found himself on a transport full of refugees headed to Hutt Space. Upon arriving on Nar Shaddaa, the local crime bosses attempted to take them into slavery, and his Jedi training kicked in as he activated his lightsaber. Even though he put up a good fight, he was outnumbered and restrained. When he tried to call upon the force to push back his assailants, he felt nothing, just an empty void. Due to his fighting abilities, Ulic was sold to fight as a gladiator for other’s entertainment. When he was there, he met a female gladiator named Zylas, who quickly knew he was a Jedi, due to his garments, and informed him that he had been severed from the force. Zylas was a follower of Palawa, who’s members studied the force, so she knew how to tell if the force was strong within a person. Though normally she would hate most Jedi, she saw that Ulic was still young and decided to guide him in his life of no longer being attuned to the force. First, she taught him the martial arts of Teräs Käsi, as a way to make up physically what he no longer had with the force. She also taught him how to use a blaster, since the battles that they fought in weren’t always hand to hand. While Zyras trained him, Ulic fought in many gladiatorial battles, honing the skills Zylas taught him, while his lightsaber skills letting him hold his own in the beginning.

For four years, Ulic fought for his life in the gladiatorial arenas. Finally, a day came when Ulic could earn his freedom if he succeeded in passing a gauntlet of matches. Round by round, Ulic slayed all man and beast that stood in his way. Wielding lightsaber, blaster, and his training in Teräs Käsi, Ulic seemed to breeze through each round. Finally, he was presented with a challenge so great, he could call upon one extra gladiator to fight his next opponent with him. Naturally, he picked his mentor, Zylas, to confront whatever they would throw at them. As the gate before them rose, the ground shook and Zylas eyes focused as she informed Ulic that the beast was full of dark side energy. Out of the shadows came a Terentatek, and the grueling battle ensued. After what seemed like ages, Ulic and Zylas were able to defeat the beast, but the trial wasn’t over. The final round was to have Ulic face Zylas in a death match, with the winner granted their freedom. Even though Ulic was hesitant at first, Zylas convinced him it was the only way. In the end, Ulic killed Zylas, and carried her away from the gladiatorial pits as a free man.

Now free, Ulic found himself back on the streets Nar Shaddaa, living as a thief to survive. As he passed a Cantina one day, however, he saw a wanted bill for a Duros gambler. Even though he was severed from the force, he still had his psychometry. Using this ability, he was able to track him down, and Ulic’s new life as a bounty hunter began from then on.
APPEARANCE
Ulic’s first noticeable feature are the red Kiffan tattoos on his face. He also sports a red head band that belonged to Zylas, to hold back his hair which usually are in dreads like many Kiffan. He also wears a pair of goggles that have a head up display that helps on his bounties for tracking his targets. Ulic also prefers to wear sparse pieces of armor to maximize movement.

Physically, Ulic has olive skin with black hair. Normally he sports long chin hair, since he has the habit of strokes it when contemplating or bored. Though he looks a bit slim, mostly due to the malnourishment he had as a slave, he is surprisingly strong since he exercises regularly and extensively. His body is covered in scars from his gladiatorial matches and tattoos that he has added over time.
PERSONALITY
No longer under the guise of the Jedi code, Ulic is very opinionated. Often speaking his mind and not caring how it is taken. Naturally, this makes him have a smart mouth, yet he is awfully charismatic for a bounty hunter. Knowing he can no longer rely on the force, he uses his wits to get out of trouble, even if it means cheating or having to use others. As a bounty hunter, he prefers to take in his quarry’s alive, but doesn’t shy away from lethal force if necessary. Many mistake his heavy drinking as him being normally crazy and outlandish, but, it helps him not feel the absence of the force as much. He often wonders if the Jedi would try and help him if he returned, but also, after living outside of the order, knows they are flawed and to blame for the exiles falling so hard to the dark side. Since he was a former slave, Ulic also can’t stand it when the strong try to dominate the weak. Often butting heads with those that bark orders. He is fond of his MR droid, even though he often calls MR-13 a ‘Junk Bucket’ and pounds his dome. The little Astromech droid is the closest thing to a friend he has had in a while and he upgrades him when he can.
SKILLS
Though his efficiency isn’t what it once was, Ulic is proficient with a lightsaber. Though hidden, he still carries his and practices with it everyday. His preferred style is Form V Djem So. Though he knows Form VII as well, without his connection to the force, he can not use it effectively. To make up for losing his force abilities, he became effective in other ways. Ulic has become an expert in Teräs Käsi, using its movements to fill in the gaps the force left in his lightsaber combat in Form V. Ulic is also proficient with long range blaster rifles and heavy blasters, preferring to quickly get the drop on his targets from a distance, or if things get nasty, blasting them with a big pistol.

Ulic also learned pickpocketing, lockpicking, computer hacking and piloting as he progressed as a bounty hunter. Through his travels, he has learned from others how to deal with force sensitives in combat, which feels strange since he himself used to be one. Ulic can also understand Binary and knows how to tinker with droids to a certain degree. He is also a self taught mechanic, but how he put together his own ship through scraps he found or stole on Nar Shadaa to create a makeshift ship.

BIOGRAPHY
Norin was a human born into a military family on Serenno. Unlike other force sensitives, Norin didn’t develop his powers until he was already 6 years old. Knowing the laws and prejudice of Sereeno when it came to force sensitives, his parents secretly took him to Jedha, since they saw the Jedi as a less evil than the exiles. Since Norin was old enough to have created a bond with his parents, and because they refused to say where they were from, the Guardians were reluctant in accepting the child but did due to their thinned numbers after the war. Norin’s life as a Jedi began.

At first, Norin was nothing impressive. His powers were at the same level as most initiates, and his lightsaber skills showed promise, but also lacked something. One day during a training exercise with all the other initiates, one of the battle masters passing by saw how Norin was having trouble with the posture of many of the techniques, often having his feet spaced apart, but hinted perhaps a strength in something else. Seeing this, he decided to take the young child under his wing. Immediately, the Master decided to test his theory and handed Norin a lightsaber pike, often used by some of the guards of the order. From then on, Norin became one of the finest combatants of the order, taking 10 years to perfect his own style.

As he had finally found a good footing in combat, he could also focus on his force abilities and discovered he had a latent affinity for the power know as shatter point. Shatter point was a power that let the wielder find a weakness in an object or creature to exploit. However, it was up to the wielder to decide how, since the force only increased one’s perception to spot it. If he concentrated, he could use it, but wasn’t adept enough to use it in combat yet. Norin also began going on missions with other knights and masters of the order around the Outer Rim. He’d often sneak off into one of the local Cantina’s to hear the countless stories told by bounty hunters and smugglers of what they had witness traversing the galaxy. Norin felt that they knew true freedom and wished he could do the same one day.

On a mission for the order, Norin witnessed his father killed by a fellow Jedi when they engaged a squadron of Serenno soldiers on a moon near Axilla. Amongst the confusion and chaos, a thermal detonator exploded near him that severed both his arms and damaged other parts of his body, but he was still alive and taken back to Jedha. After months of rehabilitation, Norin was fixed with cybernetics and was scheduled to face the heads of the temple to discuss his experience on the moon, mainly concerning his feelings of what transpired with his father. Before that however, Norin stole a ship and left Jedha and headed to Serenno.

Once there, he quickly saw the prejudice the planet held towards force sensitives by the badges that made them stand out. His robotic hand clinched hard when he saw the mistreatment of a child beggar, only because she was force sensitive, but he knew he couldn’t take on a whole planet. After a few days of searching, he finally found the whereabouts of his mother. She had been taken by a wealthy merchant into forced labor after the death of his father to pay off debts. Upon seeing her, the two embraced each other and reconnected after a few hours. When he told her that he was going to demand her debt to be wiped clean by challenging the merchant to a duel, his mother told him not to. She said that he would be forced to fight and that he only knew how to fight like a Jedi, which would lead to further problems. Giving Norin a trunk of his father belonging that she had saved, she told him to go and forge his own Journey. Norin accepted after promising her that he would one day pay off her debt. Sadly, she passed before he could.

The next decade, Norin spent learning from smugglers and bounty hunters how to make a living. Learning how to use blasters, how to pick locks, and other unsavory traits that went with the life of working as a mercenary. He’s finally earned the freedom he craved.
Skills
Norin is an effective combatant. Preferring his Lightsaber pike, he studied form VI, Niman extensively by also hybridizing it with Form IV, Ataru. He uses the elaborate of blade work, pivoting, and acrobatic evasions of Ataru with the versatility and well-rounded nature of Niman. This makes him a dexterous fighter that can keep his opponents at a distance. After his cybernetics, he began to implement Form II, Makashi, to have more options when engaging more dexterous fighters like himself. He often goes with lightweight metals for his cybernetics so that his lightsaber prowess doesn’t isn’t hindered.

Force ability, Norin has the standard training of a Knight. He uses powers such as force speed and jump regularly in combat due to Ataru, along with force pushes and pulls with the versatility that Niman provides. He even has learned a bit of force healing, but only enough that keeps the negative effects of death sticks away. His greatest power though, is shatter point. Being able to have the force perceive the weakness of a target helps Norin seize the initiative. He has trouble using it in battle, however, because he hasn’t trained hard enough to have it come as second nature as the other abilities. Norin isn’t afraid to use the power of the dark side neither, having been known to be able to crush things when angered. He still trains to increase his capability in lightsaber combat and his force abilities.

The decade Norin has spent as a mercenary, he has learned how to use blasters, preferring hand blasters and carbines when his lightsaber pike isn’t an option. He also knows how to unlock physical locks through lock picking and information gathering. Though he knows when a computer needs to be spiked or a door needs to be demolished, he usually has droids or others he has worked with handle those. Norin also understands Binary and some of the languages spoken in the galaxy trough his interaction with them. He is also a capable pilot.
Personality
Despite everything he has been through, Norin is very outgoing. Usually found in Cantinas drinking, smoking, and gambling. One wouldn’t be able to tell he was once a Jedi. He is always itching for a fight, since he loves a good brawl. Some of his best friends were made after throwing fists in a drunken cantina fight. When it comes to work, however, Norin is a different person. Effective and serious, he finishes a job, no matter the cost. Ever since the day he left the order, he sees the Jedi and Exiles as the same, and he isn’t afraid to fight or kill either if they get in his way, though he prefers Jedi if he had to sit in a room with either of the two.

Those that have worked with him, trust him to watch their back and they his. He even isn’t afraid of showing his powers or lightsaber pike on planets like Nar Shaddaa since he offers his services to the Hutt Cartels. He is known to join some of the tournaments held by the Hutts for fun as well. He lives life to it’s fullest while making as many credits along the way.

BIOGRAPHY
Kharnis’ true name is unknown. The name was given to him when his mother presented her force sensitive son to a seemingly peaceful exile to learn the ways of the force. Even though Kharnis’ mother was a telepath, she was fooled. The female Nautalon was one of the exiles that had been intoxicated by the powers of the dark side and wanted to see how a child, if trained at the same pace as Jedi initiates yet with the dark side, could turn out to be stronger. She was slightly disappointed by his lack of telepathy like his mother, but she would make do with the other abilities that the Nagai race possessed.

Kharnis’ master wanted to groom an excellent warrior, but perhaps out of spite or seeking the greater power that came from knowledge of the force, he focused more on his studies. This lead to Kharnis being blasted by force lightning and enduring other forms of daily torture since he was a child and up until he was a young adult. This perhaps is what groomed him into the nihilistic and sadistic man he is today. Despite him constantly doing things his way instead of per his master’s instructions, she was please with his progress as a duelist and force user. She watched as her apprentice seemed to easily manipulate those around them, which came naturally for Nagai, yet by applying the force to his manipulations, Kharnis could influence others even further. It was remarkable. But She had to make sure he was fully devoted.

5dO1OpS.jpg

Returning to Nagi, Kharnis’ master took him to visit his mother. Feeling nothing but a void emanating from her son, the telepath didn’t need to read any minds to know what kind of mistake she had made. Giving her son a final embrace, she told him that she was sorry for what she had unknowingly put him through. Instantly igniting his lightsaber to impale her while they embraced, he smiled and told her there was nothing to be forgiven and that he was in fact grateful. A look of terror washed upon her face as the last thing she saw was her son’s yellow eyes and a large grin on his face.

Pleased with her apprentice, the Nautalon walked over to congratulate her pupil, when Kharnis turned and seized his master by the throat. As her hands sparked to prepare to unleash a barrage of lightning at him, Kharnis smiled as his eyes directed his master’s attention to his grip. Amazed, she saw the sparks begin to form in his hand before he unleashed a powerful force shock directly towards her throat. As she fell to the floor, Kharnis explained that it was time for him to forge his own path and ignited his lightsaber and proceeded to cut his master apart, piece by piece, apply shocks every once and awhile to make sure she was alive experience it all.

Taking her ship, donning his recognizable mask, and taking the studies his master had gathered of the dark side, Kharnis began a pilgrimage to further study what she had begun. He visited ancient abandoned Jedi and Dark Jedi temples, visited force nexuses strong in the dark side, and even fought the occasional Jedi and Exile from time to time. His studies have hit an epoch as he recently has begun finding clues of an ancient group of force users that called themselves “The Sith”. Only mentioned in a few texts, the Sith seem to have known the dark side extensively. Studying their ancient language, Kharnis sets out to find the secrets of the dark side that hasn’t been seen for centuries.
APPEARANCE
Kharnis has the Nagai distinct pale white skin and black hair, which is medium length and unkept under his mask. He also bears the distinct sharp tipped ears that Nagai seem to share. Physically, Kharnis isn’t that impressive. Fit for a Nagai, he still retains their slender frame which makes him look weaker than he appears. Kharnis exercises regularly and maintains himself in good health. What he doesn’t have in physique however, he makes up with presentation. He wears a dark mask that fully covers his face, keeping everything about him a mystery. The mask is designed to look like a furnace and Kharnis made sure to not have his mask muffle the sound of his voice. Instead, it amplifies it and adds a slight scratch to his voice. He often has his robe’s hood up, making a shadow over the details of his mask so all that can be seen are the four ‘eyes’ and furnace mouth through the darkness. Covered in all black, he sports a dueling robe he put together. It combines the dark robes of the exiles with the common light electromesh armor of the Nagai.

04M7uMs.jpg

PERSONALITY
Kharnis is nihilistic and sadistic. He sees everyone and everything in the galaxy as meat to be grinded in the service of learning from the dark side. He enjoys putting others through pain, for it is proof that his powers in the dark side are growing. Even with his evil qualities, Kharnis can be quite charismatic, often having a bit of a playful attitude at times, which makes his presence even more terrifying. He can easily have a conversation of ideology and walk away or light his saber down someone’s throat. If he is aligned with others, he is willing to ‘play nice’, until their goals no longer coincide with his own.

Despite his chaotic attitude, Kharnis is intelligent and cunning. He can mask his psychotic tendencies and seem calm and collected, with slight quirks. Always searching for new avenues of exploring his dark gifts. He enjoys studying ancient dark side ruins and translating their texts. He is also a master manipulator, using others to achieve his never-ending goal of obtaining power. Due to being a Nagai, he can easily influence others just by the sound of his voice, like all Nagai can. This feat is only heightened by the use of the force. Even when a person thinks they are acting of their own free will, they unknowingly could be doing Kharnis’ bidding. He also enjoys toying with the Jedi. He sees their code broken and loves to tempt and goad them into losing their Zen like will.
LIGHTSABER COMBAT
Kharnis is a deadly duelist, despite his skills with the blade being slightly above average of most Jedi or Exiles. Kharnis primarily uses Form II, Makashi, yet also is adept with Form VI Niman and Form IV Ataru. Since Nagai are know for their lightning fast reflexes and agility in combat, the swift and precise movements of Makashi are greatly enhanced without need of force amplification. With Makashi and his natural agility, Kharnis can easy conserve his energies in case he needs to use it in other was in a fight. To make up for the forms weakness against blaster fire and to know the basis of all forms of combat, Kharnis learned Niman.

Though Makashi seems outdated, and until mastered can the style be used to deadly affect, Kharnis has used his natural and force abilities to increase its effectiveness. Nagai are known to have very soothing voices, often able to influence those that can hear them. For this reason, Kharnis’ made sure his mask didn’t muffle his voice. The amplification his mask provides helps so he can be heard during battle and the added raspiness seeds more frustration in combat and fear in other scenarios. Also applying the traditional Nagai way of taunting opponents to off-balance them, Kharnis applies Dun Moch in his technique. Dun Moch is a method of using distraction and doubt through taunts to seed doubt into the minds of one’s opponents. This helps make his opponents weak against mental attacks, which then can lead to their opponents losing their concentration with the force and in turn, make them less precise and effective in combat.

Another way Kharnis uses his racial abilities to make up for his skill in lightsaber combat is by applying Sokan techniques. Sokan is using one’s surrounding in conjecture to lightsaber combat to position the opponent in tactically advantageous positions for the Sokan practitioner. Often applying quick tumbles and jumps, again, the Nagai’s natural fast reflexes and dexterity is promoted. For the extra push, Kharnis applies Ataru techniques to enhance its effectiveness, even furthering the frustration of his opponents or helping him with an escape rout if it is needed. By using his natural Nagai features to apply Dun Moch and Sokan to his lightsaber forms, Kharnis can make up for his slightly above average abilities with the blade.

Ev61Uuk.jpg

FORCE ABILITIES
The reason why Kharnis is trailing in his lightsaber skills is because he has concentrated on his study of the force. He is affective with using the standard uses of the force that all known force sensitives know like push, pull, and increase speed. Though, he doesn’t use them much in combat, relying on his natural abilities and Makashi to conserve his energy. He is adept at force manipulation, being able to get in other’s heads to have them react the way he wishes. At this level, he is only able to influence them, not completely dominate them. He also uses powers such as instilling fear, force choke (if he focuses only on one individual), and has the beginning of force lighting, only being able to shock someone that is direct contact in spurts.

Kharnis is fueled by learning and mastering the ancient teachings of the dark side and seeing what heights can be achieved with them.
OTHER SKILLS
Kharnis is a decent pilot. He is also very handy with blades, since it is the Nagai’s culture to view combat as a form of meditation. Despite his off-putting appearance, Kharnis is great at negotiating, often getting what he wants in the end. He often conceals his psychotic nature to put others at ease, so he can more easily manipulate them. He is also good at games like Pazaak and Dejarik. He is an avid researcher, often on the hunt for Jedi and Dark Jedi texts of old. He knows binary, along with most of the sentient species languages. If given time, he can also translate the ancient language of those that called themselves ‘the Sith’. For other matters, he usually uses his skill in influencing others to have them do the things he can’t or his two droids.
GEAR

  1. Nerf Herder Light Freighter ― An old ship that belonged to Kharnis’ former Master.
  2. MR-Series Utility Droid ― Named “REM”, the Astromech droid helps fly the ship with Kharnis. Sports a black coat with red trim. Has developed a pushy and aggressive attitude. Along with “Jaster”, the droid provide Kharnis some entertaining company. Both belonged to his former master.
  3. PB-Series Protocol Droid ― Named “JASTER”, the old protocol droid helps Kharnis since his limited programing houses tribal languages, not common to the galaxy where ruins are usually found. Sports a dark gray coat with red trim. Has developed a sarcastic personality with a bit of Kharnis’ love for killing things as a solution.
  4. Kharnis’ Lightsaber ― (Pictured Above) Curved hilt light saber made of Durasteel and humanoid bone. Contains red synthetic crystal and a dual-phase blade.
  5. Kharnis’ Exile Robe ― (Pictured Above) Kharnis’ own personalized exile robes that add electromesh plating to protect key points from blasters.
