Kal landed his TIE Ranger on the landing pad he had been given, shutting the ship down before popping the hatch to the cockpit. Naboo really did was a nice, balmy place as he stepped out, looking at the clouds lazily traversing the sky, covering the sun occasionally in a strangely peaceful way. This was way different from the cities of his homeworld and Coruscant, though he couldn't stay for long as he'd been requested to be here. Duke Winters, another Ranger who had been investigating Suspect One and his antics, had asked him to come out to Naboo to help him out with something. To be honest, Kal wouldn't turn down any request for help, especially from a fellow Ranger. They were almost like a band of brothers and sisters, and though he was an only child he cherished this bond.

He walked through the city of Theed, the capitol of Naboo, admiring the architecture as he made his way to the place Duke had asked him to meet. Apparently there had been some crime here recently involving a Jedi Master, part of which led to the man's arrest. The galaxy was roiling with this news, especially of Ranger Aran's statement about a possible group of red saber-waving terrorists. He frowned slightly as he walked up the stairs to the building requested, mulling over all the information they had been given. This was still too chaotic and obfuscated to find the truth, though that just meant he would have to work harder. He knocked on the door, not recognizing what kind of building this was but had arrived nonetheless.

A few seconds after the knock, Kal would hear something slide into place before the door opened and revealed Duke. "Ranger Dross, I assume. Ranger Winters." He extended his hand out for it to be shaken before gesturing his head inside, "Let's get in here." When both of them were inside and the door was shut, he led the way down the hall for Kal to follow. "Thank you for coming on short notice. Something popped up recently and was hoping for some backup on this one." Even after such a short time in Naboo, there was already work to be done.

They took a flight of stairs before arriving in an apartment like room. It was completely cleared of furniture and items except for police equipment that was laid around and obvious surveillance setups. There were a couple of Naboo officers in the room, either speaking to each other or studying a datapad for information and to arrange different things. "We've recently got reports of Black Sun trying to expand their business into Theed and start a spice market here." Duke pointed over to one of the tables, "Managed to catch it through the pipeline." Naboo was much more efficient then Nar Shaddaa and he was loving it so far.

"We got a deal worked out between one of our buyers and sellers. We're gonna be there to canvas the area and make sure it goes down without a hitch before swooping in. Hopefully, it will lead us to something bigger but we got to start somewhere." Duke turned to look back to Kal, "Hope you don't mind being pulled into the action quickly?"

"Nice to meet you, Ranger Winters. It's a bit outside where I usually work, but I'm never one to turn down a request from a brother in arms." Kal meant every word that he said, stepping inside the building that Duke asked him to. He took his job very seriously and knew that sometimes one extra set of hands or eyes could be the difference between cracking a case wide open or letting it go cold from not finding the right clues. Plus, sometimes the perpetrators were quite skilled in combat, so someone watching your back could be very important.

As Duke spoke about the issue, Kal looked over the reports and other information the room contained. He was trying to bring himself up to speed as quickly as he could. The Black Sun were never a group to be dealt with lightly, so managing to hit them while their operations weren't secured yet on the planet would be an opportunity they would be stupid to not take. "If I wasn't, I wouldn't really be that good of a Ranger, right? I'm ready to hit the ground running. I wonder what kind of bigger fish we can summon." He had a wry smirk on his face and a hand on his sidearm. He could easily hide his badge, blend in as the bounty hunter he had taken the guise of before.[/COLOR]
