Edie Minn was born to a fairly unremarkable family on Corellia. Her father was a flight engineer, who had to leave home for long periods of time to work on starships. Whenever he came home, he'd always sit and tell Edie stories of the places he'd been, the people he'd met and the worlds he'd seen. Although obviously romanticised, the stories filled Edie with a never-ending desire to get out into the Galaxy and see what was there.

Which is exactly what she did, once she was old enough. With nothing but some credits and the clothes on her back, she left home and went to make her way through the wider Galaxy, wanting to live the free and open life of an explorer. Unfortunately, exploring doesn't really pay the bills quite so much and Edie had to get herself some work. It was nothing at first, a little guard duty here or hauling work there. However, it wasn't long before she realised how much more lucrative it could be on the less-than-legal side of things.

Never one for being constrained by an organisation, Edie slipped in and out of crews. Some smuggling runs, some protection jobs, some downright grand theft, though you'd never prove she was there, honest. She did what she had to and she got paid. Period. The petty squabbles of the Five Syndicates didn't interest her at all. All she ever wanted was to be free to do what she wanted.

Now, the time has come where she wants something more secure than just slipping from job to job. Now, she knows she needs a place to be.

Edie was a confident, casual and independent person. She knew the extent of her skills and knew how she could use them well. She wasn't above petty crime and didn't really see the issue in it. Thievery and stealing were... somewhat victimless crimes, right? Wasn't like she was murdering anyone. She could come across single-minded and selfish with her focus on her own personal independence, though when push came to shove, she would back the more moral approach to affairs. Even thieves have a conscience. She was a clever and quick-witted person, with a smirk and a comment on her lips for every situation.

Edie was a jack-of-all-trades aboard ship. She could pilot decently, but not with any great skill. She knew some of the more simple sides to ship maintenance and repair, though anything complicated was way above her abilities, especially when it came to hyperdrives.

Edie was a good, practised shot with her blasters. She trained extensively with them and prides herself on how she cares for them. A good pair of blasters has no substitute.

Edie was an intelligent person and held a good deal of relevant knowledge. Her years of work gave her a decent understanding of criminal circles in the Galaxy, even if she hadn't made a splash in them. A childhood interest in history and past cultures developed into a knowledge of ancient worlds, cultures and, most importantly, the value of older artefacts and pieces.
