ELECTRIC JUDGEMENT

DESCRIPTION:
A once-forbidden ability, Electric Judgement is the light side equivalent of the dark side power, Force Lightning. Unlike its counterpart, Electric Judgement does not draw on the user’s anger, hatred or fears but rather comes from a mindset centered around justice and to do what is right when the situation requires a more offensive approach. Instead of casting a blue or white electrical current from the tips of the user’s fingers, Electric Judgement is manifested in yellow, orange or green, the most obvious-to-the-eye difference between the Jedi and Sith variations of the same power. Should the user’s emotions shift to a place of anger or fear prior or during its use, the burst will change color to reflect this as the user has unintentionally tapped into the dark side.Much the same as Force Lightning, Electric Judgement isn’t particularly draining in short bursts but that changes drastically the longer the user prolongs its use. The longer it is projected, the more wear it will have on its user. Unlike Force Lightning, however, Electric Judgement is only able to target a singular target due to its inherent moral alignment. As a power intended for dispensing justice and protecting those who need protection, such a blanket coverage (ie: Force Storm) runs the chance of harming innocents and goes against the entire basis of this ability without extensive training in its use.
While no longer forbidden by the New Jedi Order, Electric Judgement is still a very lethal ability and must be used with absolute caution less the user finds themselves succumbing to their emotions. Because of this, it is recommended that only Masters of the Jedi Order even attempt to study this power and it’s capabilities. Padawans and even some Knights are simply too susceptible to the temptations this power may present the user.
EXTRA NOTE:
A Jedi/Light side Force User must be taught this power by way of holocron or through someone who has also learned it. Characters are not permitted to inherently know this ability without required training.While I am unsure whether The Great Holocron has a write-up of it’s own, it is entirely possible that other holocrons containing the knowledge of Electric Judgement may exist in the galaxy.

To introduce a Force Power from Legends to our site’s canon as well as to flesh out Force Powers to the site’s rules without a level system. This write up is a guideline and should not be used for rule lawyering.
