  • Ellara Cerys was an academic and aspiring politician active during the Force Eternal era. Born into a wealthy, aristocratic family on Chandrila, little was expected of Ellara Cerys. Her parents wanted nothing more than a young woman with enough grace and charisma to entangle in a marriage arrangement with another family or business rival. Another pawn in a game spanning generations, that'd continue until the end of all things.

Ellara would unfortunately disappoint them. Attending an exclusive boarding school, Ellara was found to be an exceptionally intelligent and dedicated pupil. She distinguished herself in her studies, particularly in the arts, history of the Galaxy and rhetoric. She also managed to win several inter-school fencing competitions. The time came that Ellara attracted the attention of several universities. Initially, her parents were reluctant. Her father didn't need an educated girl. Eventually, he relented, but Ellara never forgot how close she was to losing her prospects at his whims.

She made sure that everything that happened next was planned perfectly. After graduating, she proceeded into further research, earning a scholarship for her continued academic climbing. Once secure, she politely but firmly told her father that she had no intention of being married off to whatever ghastly family he had in mind and would be pursuing her own desires.

Ellara had anticipated some of his reaction. He was furious. Several messages, each angrier and swearier than the last, were sent to her. Her brother tried to persuade her. Her sisters were sent to try and wheedle her away. Finally, Ellara challenged her father to a fencing match, for the right to be left alone. Her father agreed. Two rounds later, with her father covered in cuts and her blade rich with blood, he gave in. Ellara never saw him since. All contact was broken off with Ellara and her family, which was just as well. They were only holding her back. The Galaxy had no room for dead weight like aristocratic politics.

Nobody ever found out that she'd had her father's drink poisoned the night before.

Ellara continued with her studies and found a position as a lecturer in the history of the later Republic. She worked decently well, not particularly drawing much academic attention to herself. The few students that worked with her would describe her as hard-working but not particularly easy. For Ellara, academics had changed from a means to escape from her family to a way to earn some small living. Real opportunity was elsewhere.

That was when she became interested in local politics. After putting herself forwards, she was appointed as an education advisor to a Councilman in Chandrila's capital. Now, she looks greedily to the next free seat, eager to test herself in electoral politics and establish her own power.

  • Ellara was a woman of distinctive intellect and ruthless determination. Her focused, narrow styling suited her well for academics, though she holds no great passion for the lifestyle or career. Unlike her colleagues, she doesn't excite herself with thoughts of a new publication or submitting her research for journals. She continues to do the adequate, sufficient amount to maintain her position.

Ellara gave off an impression of politeness, charm and easy-going attitude, but the truth was very different. Ellara craved power and position for herself. Her intelligence gave her a feeling of superiority over most people, believing herself to be cleverer and more deserving than most other people she met. Cutting remarks betrayed her arrogance, though they were always couched in the flowery, purple language that she'd honed around her family.

Though she would balk at crude methods such as murder or outright thuggery, there was little that Ellara Cerys wouldn't do in the pursuit of furthering her own status and power.

  • [*] A DE-10 blaster pistol
    [*] A vibrosword
    [*] A WTK-85a Transport Ship
[*] A small apartment near the university on Chandrila.

  • Ellara was intelligent and quick-witted, with a gift for cutting remarks. She could be diplomatic when she needed to be, though someone paying close attention or with a good ability to read people would notice a lack of sincerity. She could move through and communicate in both high society and academics with ease.

Ellara had an excellent understanding of her period of study: the later Old Republic and the Rise of the Empire. She made small contributions to some larger works in the field which were illuminating, though their relative size to other parts meant that Ellara was not yet recognised much in her field.

She was an experienced fencer as a schoolgirl and has kept up the practice, though she is no longer as effective as she once was. She won a few competitions but is nowhere close to a champion fencer.

I think the weight you have listed is either a typo or formatted a bit oddly, is it supposed to be 92 lbs.? That's an easy thing to fix to be more clear, though, and shouldn't stop the approval. So with that, this has my...

Oh, I see. Huh, I've never seen that kind of measurement used before. Well, that's fine, then, my apologies for not knowing that.
