"Enter the Rogue;" The Training of Xano Mettengar [BHG]

Shawn opened the last blast door leading to the hall the two were in, "finally I got through all theses blasted blast doors." Shawn said out of breath. "Oh he's not dead what a supprise, I think it safe to say he won't be a liability if he gets captured and if he's this spunky after escapeing he may be a good hunter yet.

Xano quickly jumped to his feet after Shawn entered the room, “Dammit! What the hell is your problem, what is this just a test!?” Breathing heavily after shouting all of this Xano looked around and appeared a little embarrassed. He had actually been enjoying this little bit of a challenge and to find out it had all just been a test he was a little upset.

"Yah it has been and to be honest I was also using you as a guinea pig for a new training procedure, and happy to see there were no lasting memory loss from a concentrated dose of the knock out gas. And since I knew beating you constantly wouldn't have worked thanks to your quick healing I had to test your ability to escape from a situation that put you in dire straights, though I wasn't expecting Boss here to show up. Any way introductions are in order Ares Xano, Xano Ares. Ares here is second in command of the BHG and was my Trainer, when I first joined." Then Shawn turned to the terminal he used to open the blast door and lifted the security lock down of the training area. "If you thought my method was to cloak and dagger then I'm sorry, and your free to go and I'll forget this ever happened and get back to my job." Shawn said throwing Xanos stuff to him.

" New training method?.....Shawn. For future reference stick with the training guide the guild has provided for you. " Ares said as he folded his arms across his chest.

" Dont augment without proper permission again. " Ares walked past Shawn, intend of leaving and going to do some other task that required his attention. Apparently Stasha needed something from him, she didnt say what. But it sounded urgent when he listend to the message on his comm unit. But he felt he was needed more at this recruits traning. To ensure that Shawn kept to the guild code and trained the recruit right.

He stopped mid-step and turned. " I think ill accompany you through the remainder of this training exercise."

"I would have if you weren't so busy all the time on your rouge hunts, and if Kal wasn't so bloody hard to get a hold of, and with all do respect this is my trainnie I would appriciate it if you didn't ring me out infront of him. If you want to yell at me do it after, not now." When Ares stoped and turned around Shawn thought Ares was going to deck him for speaking up, and when he heard he was staying he was supprised.

"Well noobie ready to continue?"

Shouldering his reclaimed automatic rifle, Xano replied coldly, “But of course O wise ones.” While the two had been bickering he had fully equipped himself. He had his slug-thrower pistols attached to his quick-link custom holsters and had strapped his custom slug-thrower sniper rifle to the slot on the back of his body armor. He was holding a menacing looking helmet under his arm that doubled as a pilot’s helmet as well as being battle proof. Com-links and other cybernetics were inside.

His armor consisted of several metal plates that had been molded to a nearly perfect fit of his body. These plates were weaved into a complex material consisting of Kevlar on the outside layer and an electro-gel on the interior. This would block most electrical attacks and would stop most bullets and weaponry from penetrating his body at points his nanobots couldn’t repair quickly enough.

"Well then to the cargo bay aka the maze, I guess boss you will be the pain in the recrutes side as he tries to get the flag includeing some other not so freindly things." Shawn said as he lead the way to the maze bay.

Ares shrugged as the three men walked, " Or I could just shoot at him." He really didnt want to go into the maze again. His time with Stasha inside the training exercise had shown him that recruits needed to go it alone.

"Well here it is, and seeing as your fully equiped and don't seem you need any wepons we'll just have you head on in there." Shawn said as he grabed a sniper rifle off a rack "oh the rules are quite simple get through the maze grab the flag bring it back good luck." Shawn said with a devious smile.

Xano turned around as he placed his helmet on his head. He pressed a button on his wrist and a popping sound could be heard as his helmet was vacuum sealed to the armor around his neck. He looked at the HUD on his wrist and checked everything, this was all linked to the helmet and he could see the display in his vision array. He could turn this on and off with the push of a button on his wrist.

He nodded at the two men and without saying a word he turned and ran into the maze. Xano was pumped up, he loved a challenge and he hoped this one would be at least mildly interesting.

He came to a part in his path and immediately conceived what was before his eyes; there were five paths to choose from. He decided his best chance was the one directly to the right of the middle path, it seemed most likely to lead to his target. He walked slowly in looking in all directions, catching everything in great detail in mere glimpses.

" Well. I better go ruin his day now. " Ares said dryly as he stood up straight from leaning against the wall. He ran for a moment to get momentum and jumped up ontop of the maze. Going far and wide around Xanos so he wouldnt know he was up there.

Ares hopped down in the flag room, taking the flag off its pole. He looked at it briefly. It was dark red, with the BHG insignia colored gold in the middle. He put it over his shoulder and replaced it with a plain red flag before jumping back up ontop of the maze. he quickly opened his comm channel to that of the ships loudspeakers inside the cargo hold.

" By the way. The flag is red with a gold BHG insignia on it." With that said he cut his comms and dropped down far off from the actual flag room. Lying it on the ground in some deserted hallway way off of Xanos course.

Shawn went up to the new snipers perch that aloud him to see a good three hundred and sixty degries around him, "spiffy this will work, nicely." Shawn then looked aroud with range finders for his target, Shawn found him running down the hall on a right side path, and Shawn fliped a trap switch that was in the booth with him.

Shawn changed the traps that were used on him in the past, instead of droids that came out when it detected a foe it came out when he trigured them. most of the halls lined with droids. Shawn trigured the first ten to come out infront of Xano and behind blocking him in. They emidiattly took aim with blasters and began to fire.

The com-link crackled in Xano’s ear causing him to jump a little bit, “By the way. The flag is red with a gold BHG insignia on it." Nodding to himself, Xano continued on his way until he came to an oddly empty corridor. Cautiously moving forward Xano moved toward the otherside. Thinking to himself, ‘Oddly enough everything seems easy so far.’

Then Xano caught the droids in his peripherals , cursing he quickly dropped to the floor and fired at the five droids placed in front of him. He rolled as he quickly removed two of the droids’ heads with his automatic. As he rolled he noticed some cover in front of him and quickly jumped to his feet and ran for it firing at the three remaining droids placed in his line of sight.

These were quickly dispatched and by the time he had reached his cover he had already heard several of the threatening sizzles of the energy bolts as they were absorbed by the armor on his back. He had prepared the armor and treated the plates so that they could resist most energy shots, the mesh underneath should handle it also due to the layers of electro-gel. He turned and fired at the droids completely destroying one of them with the remaining shots in his automatic. As bullets whizzed overhead he placed his automatic in its corresponding latch on his back.

He waited for the short cease fire he knew that would happen soon, droids were so simple in the way they all shot and reloaded at the same time. As silence set in he stood up drawing his duel pistols from there holsters and silently unloaded his clips into the droids. The only sounds that followed were the spits of air coming from the barrels of his guns and the clangs that resounded afterward.

All of the remaining droids were destroyed and he moved on without a second look back saying out loud this time, “Still too easy…”

Shawn loded a pheramone round into the sniper rifle and aimed at a joint section of Xanos armor even if it hit armor the amor would still give it off. As Xano keept walking in the open Shawn fired at Xano hiting him. then Shawn changed the clip to heavy stun rounds.

and then Shawn released a cage near were the flag was that let loose three nexu, and at the west end of the maze a Durgolosk, was released, and a few kath hounds were released with droid support with a new algorithum installed which allowed them to use advance tactics and support one another, they also had better armor than the crapy training droids. Shawns final task of royaly screwing the trainie was to activate random droids in the halls that were like the ones Xano ran into eairlier. and a last cage set on stand by with a final suprise if he fares to well with the others.

"We shal see whats to easy."

Xano continued making his way through the maze sometimes taking a good path, sometimes coming up to a dead end and having to turn around. He got shot in the back once but after that nothing. The silence was eerie. He knew he was being watched and that didn’t help anything. He had just come to yet another dead end when he felt like something was directly behind him.

He quickly drew his pistols, continuing to stare at the wall ahead of him, he had already reloaded his weapons and he knew he had limited ammo. He had only brought 5 clips for each gun and he had already spent a magazine each on three of them. Taking a deep breath he wheeled around expecting anything.

The nexu snuck up behind Xano and one of them jumped the gun and pounced at xanos exposed back clawing, at him.

the droids with the cath hounds kept patroling for Xano.

the Durgolosk, kind of just fell asleep waiting for its pray to come closer or a sound to grivate it.

As Xano turned he saw a leaping nexu land in front of him and proceed to grab his arm with its razor sharp teeth. He grimaced in pain as the teeth sunk through the Kevlar and electro-gel; the damn animal had caught him right at a weak spot in his armor.

He dropped the gun he was holding in his left hand but still brandished the other with a fury, foolishly unloading an entire clip into the animals head and neck, cursing his luck the entire time.

He knew his nanobots would take some time to heal this injury at least a few minutes to restore and repair his flesh. It was good to know that the damage was repairable; the bad thing was that Xano didn’t have any time to wait there was a total of three nexu in the corridor with him.

The nexu droped dead from all the rounds, that filled its gut and head and splattered blood all over the walls behind the animal and it fell dead to the floor the other two flanked Xano on bolth sides as each jumped at him one after the other looking to tear his flesh with there claws.

Still holding his one pistol, Xano quickly reloaded it as he dodged away from the attacking nexu. He looked around only to see his other pistol seemingly miles away. Drawing his long Vibro-blade, he watched the two remaining beasts descend on him.

Crouching down he plunged the blade deeply into the nexu on his right forcing it away and using all of his weight behind that blow. Simultaneously he fired his weapon with pin point accuracy at the other nexu’s eyes hoping to kill it or at least blind it.

Holstering his pistol as he continued to step away he brandished his blade like a torch in the night seeking out any easily cleaved prey. He also pulled out his automatic and set it to burst rounds, to be more accurate, knowing nexu are very agile themselves.

All this happened in less than a few minutes, his wounds from the first attack were beginning to disappear, though they still hampered him, when he struck the nexu with his blade it had hurt him to use that amount of force.

the nexu that was hit by the blade was heavily injured and couldn't move and was close to death the other nexu dodged the rounds do to them being so acurate they were easily avoided by the nexu by just shifting its wait down and landed pouncing again and hitting Xano square in the cheast with its and claws ready pinning him down, the hunter droid party detected the commotion and moved to the area, it would take them some time to get there though.
