THEME
Open to those with reason to be at this bar (i.e. not open to attacks, Sith, etc.)
Roland stared at the banner for a moment as it flickered in the diming evening light. The small manipulator arms of his floating surveillance and the ID-seeker droid each held a projector the banner over the archway. "Happy Life Day" It said with colorful lettering. The Life Day holiday party for the Sector Rangers was normally held somewhere on Coruscant and in fact it had been canceled. But Roland had sent out a message to some of the other Rangers he would be setting something up at one of the more regular Ranger bars on Coruscant.

"That should be good enough." He said to the droids and they affixed the projectors before flying off to recharge. That had been the last of the decorations the Mandalorian had decided to help put up since he arrived early. Well, he was the one that had organized it.

The sound of some music played towards one side where the was a DJ droid and a dance floor. The Mandalorian's boot had been tapping every once in awhile but people were still arriving. Today was meant for everyone to enjoy. But with recent events in mind, Roland knew that others would have thoughts of loss and concern on their mind. Life day was more than just being alive. To Roland it was supposed to show the living of one's life even if there aren't others around.

b5ab004eccc0ec26935b0e8ea315e5e5.jpg
The visor of the Mandalorian still drew an eye or two as he came back over to the bar. "A wookiee noogie please." It was basically eggnog mixed with the type of alcohol that would get even a wookiee blizted if he wasn't careful.

The Sector Ranger Captain knew he wasn't alone in his grief for they had lost lives on Coruscant. Lieutenant Aran had been recovered, the Jedi temple on Ajan Kloss was devastated beyond repair. There were other people who were having a harder time than he was. Now more than ever was a time to come together. Some of them probably could use a break, a little distraction, or just the chance for someone to connect with. Then again, differing clans coming together to drink in the wake of tragedy could result in some drama. Well at least then things will be out in the open then.

Roland wondered if there were going to be a lot of jedi. The bar itself was large space and there were still some local patrons but for the most part the Sector Rangers would have plenty of room. The Captain was pretty sure Indyana was coming by since he had sent her a head's up. It would maybe help things if some Jedi mixed as well. There were some that had probably come to Coruscant rather than Yavin.

So much happened since the last time she'd seen Roland, she felt like a different person. She felt like a heavy weight pressed into her shoulders. Her presence was buried in the Force; she couldn't trust anyone anywhere anymore, it felt, even around Roland. She had to make sure he kept safe, and even acting like a Jedi felt like painting a target on her back these days. But she wanted to relax, have a few drinks... perhaps even just forget, for a few hours, what the Jedi had foolishly headlong charged into.

Still, nothing surprised her more than to be invited to something that seemed more specific to the Rangers. So she would do her best to not be a downer.

Instead of arriving in anything that screamed Jedi or archeologist, she went with a simple black dress, loose enough to move in, with violet hair unbraided and simple diamond earrings. In the city planet, she felt at odds with the crush of people. But there was one person in particular she had her eyes on. With a small smile, she stepped over quietly.

"Well hello there handsome. If your date doesn't dance, I'm game." She forced herself to give a small, flirty smile, one hand perched on her hip as she fought the urge to find something to cover over her shoulders. But for once, they were left bare, all her tattoos visible it felt like. "Or maybe a drink," she continued, sliding into the space beside him, elbows leaning on the bar.

It was Life Day, after all. Time of giving and all that, though even with her dad they didn't really ever celebrate. But she was here, and fighting the urge to completely cover herself in the shawl she left in her rented speeder.

Draco Virtus was in Coruscant filing in paperwork in regards to some Mission objectives he had completed in Tatooine and was giving an update to his CO when he heard the message relayed out to the Sector Rangers in regarding a party. He was in a small Law Enforcement Light ship when the message displayed across his HUD. "Why not." he shrugged as the dusty desert of Tatooine was a isolated place at times and going there felt like you travelled lightyears back in time compared to these bigger cities. The outer rim was what he was use to but he would make a exception as he brought his ship towards the grid location that accompanied the invite. Landing his ship on a pad down below the seemingly large club he would disembark before locking it and storing his blaster rifle and small inventory away. He kept his usual blaster pistol concealed under his armourweave cape in its holster as he made his way to the doors.

"Here we go."

Walking through the doors he would click the button for the elevator as he patiently waited. He was still in his Mako 03 Reaper Custom armour as the elevator finally dinged he would step in. Moments later it began sending him up to the designated floor as his Ranger badge was pinned to his armour underneath the cape. Stepping out and walking through the main doors he was immediately hit with bright lights of many colours and music bumping to match the backdrop of Coruscant city. High rises, glowing buildings and ships of every size going in all kinds of directions. Stepping in he would take notice of Captain Rook as he heard of the Ranger quite a bit. Making his way to the bar he would glance through his visor to the bartending Droid. "Whiskey, Corellian." before leaning on it and turning back to look at the room.

The Droid came back with his drink as he tapped the side of his helmet and let the visor retract in the helmet as he took a mouthful of it and set it back down with a smirk. It seemed more where beginning to enter as he figured it would get pretty packed. He would probably take his leave once it got to busy as the Space cowboy of Tatooine didn't overly associate with any of them except his Command and those around the Outerim.

Heavy silver boots would come to a pause before the entrance to the bar, the visored helm, looking through the door. "Suppose this is as good a place as any to get a drink." The Mandalorian clad in ancient silver and blue beskar would enter the bar, warpick clanking against his greaves as he walked. The blade sheathed to his back was secured tightly by a harness and the cuirass of his armor was covered with etchings in Mando'a. To those who could read it, it was the history of his people, his Clan, and his god. Religious ornaments clung to his belt, jingling with each step as he made his way to the bar.

His path would lead him through the projection, and if he could read basic, he would have known exactly what it said. But to him, it was just colors flowing in the way. Reaching the bar, he'd lean heavily against it. "Tihaar. Leave the bottle." his hand would then fish around his pouch as he gathered some credits.

This was Siria's dozenth time on Coruscant so far in her life but it was maybe the first time since she was able to actually go out on her own without supervision or as a full fledged adult. The Senator of Tirahnn walked from the doorway towards the bar as the music played. There didn't seem to be too many people arriving yet but a few caught her eye.

Some two men wearing a different cloaks. One of which stood nearby with their blue skinned friend with impressive tattoos. But what caught her eye was the shining resplendent armor of a Mandalorian to one side. Other people were no doubt staring at the warrior. Walking up to his side she would look first towards the bartender and then slowly try to look at the Mandalorian's visor but he was leaning over the bar so she waited. This has to be that Captain Rook I've heard about. He looked the part and this seemed like the right place.

"I'll pay for his...Tihaar...was it? If I can have a sip myself." She looked towards the droid and give a nod before bringing her own credits out to pay for another drink. She was pretty sure she may want a chaser after the last time she had taken shots. "Siria Zale." The young Senator then realized she hadn't taken shots of the stuff since she had been in college. This night could turn into more than she or the rest of Coruscant could afford. The pleasant face of the senator would otherwise be looking the mandalorian in the center of his T visor since she had nothing else to go off of.

Emryc was always the type to mingle into civilian life, not one to walk around trying to win the edgy costume contest every day. Today he was dressed like a polished civilian, adorned in a sport jacket, a dress shirt, trousers and some nice shoes. There was a chrono on his wrist that was worth a shiny penny, and his hair was perfectly styled. It wasn’t too long since the Ajan Kloss incident, and he had no qualms socializing with people that he would murder any other day.

He half wondered if he would run into any Jedi that had been there when he helped slay the Grandmaster. At the very least, he probably butchered some of their friends. Emryc did not stick out in the Force when he walked in, his demeanor relaxed as he took in sight of the bar. There were rumors about this being a Ranger gathering and he couldn’t resist making an appearance.

Emryc hadn’t bothered bringing in his saber - pretending to be a civvie meant committing to it. He took note of the Ranger Captain that was known around these parts before his eyes flicked over to the others. He immediately spotted another face that was more recognizable.

“A Zale having to pay for drinks?” He said incredulously as he slid into a seat near the woman, “Nonsense,” He offered her a grin before handing over his card to buy the drinks but to still let the Mando know it was from her, “And I won’t have what she’s having,” He quirked an eyebrow at the choice of drink before ordering himself a glass of charde instead, turning to give the Senator a sheepish smile. Charde went down exponentially smoother, and he held his glass and waited for her to down the atrocious drink she ordered.

Life day. The day we pretend to be happy while dodging dinner invitations from your folks. This was the first time in four years that Derna was home on Coruscant for Life Day and she had never seen the planet this somber. Nine apartments in her building were vacant because their ranger owners had died recently, another three families had simply left saying they figured they had more of a future on Chandrila or New Alderaan and frankly Derna couldn't blame them. Crime was on the rise because hundreds of criminals had to be released after the ranger's evidence room was raided and their network was compromised, increasing gang activity near the already not-so-safe lower levels where she lived.

Kriff, no wonder Derna stopped abruptly as she realized that bar she'd chosen for her drinks tonight was packed with Sector Rangers. "So they do this instead of arresting those gangers on my level?" Kriffing corrupt bastards. The blackwell co-pilot wasn't dressed up for the night. Make-up was bare, skinny jeans were worn and the color fading near the pockets and knees. The maroon long-sleeve shirt was new, at least, she had bought it four months ago before she shipped out again and this was the second time she got to wear it.

Approaching the bar with a fouled mood, she sat down next to a pointy-eared human (@Sreeya), probably someone whose parents couldn't control their interspecies lust long enough to think about the consequences. "Iridonian whiskey," she said as her elbow collided with the half-human's shoulder, "and keep 'm coming."

No matter where he went, eyes would always be on him. If the Mandalorian looked at the woman as she stepped up beside him, he didn't show it. And before he could object to her payment, another outsider would pay. The visor would shift to the woman as his posture straightened. "Fine. Two glasses, two cubes of ice in each." he'd say to the tender. While the visor was fixed on Zale, the eyes beneath were focused on the pointy eared patron behind her. Something about the tone or maybe a warning from Kad, but he knew immediately that he disliked him the most.

One hand slipped into a pouch on the harness and he procured a flask.
"If you're going to try some, it's going to be the right way." He would begin to pour some of the contents of the flask into each glass, a rather aromatic ruby color that smelled of fruit. Then he'd poor tihaar into the glass, bringing the mixture to the rim. "The Core World's always water it down. You can actually give it a proper taste by adding tisane. Srucayr."

He noticed the entrance of the woman in the maroon shirt and the target she picked would bring a smile to his face, granted, none would see it. "So, what's the celebration for? You guys win some big battle?"

Risho
Risho was on Coruscant. He had read about the social that was happening here in a popular bar with rangers. It'd be a good chance to meet people, become acquainted with his fellow rangers. Risho stepped over the threshold of the bar. His cape flowing behind him as he entered, his helmet placed firmly over his head. Scanning the area, the only person he recognised so far was Ranger Virtus. In the company of colleagues and allies, he took a deep breathe and placed his hands on his helmet lifting it off, showing his Chiss visage. Risho spotted a cloak room, he'd surely get hot if he continued wearing his heavy coat in here. Walking over, he took off his coat and cape and handed his items in, placing his ranger badge on his black shirt before doing so. Being given a ticket he placed it in the back of his his trouser pockets along with his gloves. Turning around, he took in the scene. The colourful life day banner, the bright lights all over the room. Seemed nice, not like the high society gatherings he had been used to on Csilla. The music was nice too, nodding his head in time with the beat as he made his way to the only ranger he knew in here, Ranger Virtus. Risho rolled the sleeves of his shirt up, his black tattoos on show, contrasting with his blue skin. They were all over his body except for his face, reaching high up to his neck, on his hands. After making his way to the bar he leaned against it next to Draco.

What should he have? Maybe he should treat himself to one alcoholic drink. Risho wasn't much of a drinker, he usually actively avoided it nowadays due to his affliction little over a year or two ago.
"I'll have a..." He paused for a second, not knowing what to order as he looked over the menu. Moving his head to Draco, he looked at his drink then at the droid. "...Uh, I guess whatever he's having" Nodding at Draco as he spoke. Risho's actual voice was refined, you could easily tell that he had come from some form of high society. The droid made up his Corellion whiskey and placed it on the counter. "Ah, with ice please" He said and the droid obliged placing two cubes of ice in his drink. Risho, picked his glass up and sipped the whisky, swirling the nice cubes around inbetween sips. He looked over at Ranger Virtus, "Risho. In case you didn't know" He cleared his throat as he sipped his drink some more. "so, anyone in here worth talking to?" He said standing up straight and placing the credits he owed for the drink on the bar.

Risho took in some more faces in the bar. There were two Mandalorians, a Jedi, a few women. Some of them weren't rangers or Jedi. Having his mask off in front of some of them made the Chiss a bit anxious and uneasy. What if they were criminals, they now knew what his armour looked like, what he looked like under the mask and who he was. They could target him one day. He shook the thoughts out of his head as he took another sip of his drink.

"You're looking elegant, Master Jedi." Roland saw Indyana when she entered and smiled, though it began to fade when he noticed something amiss about her. Her tone was a bit forced like her body language. Roland knew what casual flirtation was versus a personal one and a lot was on her mind. The Mandalorian wasn't a force sensitive but he liked to think he could read people. "As a matter of fact...I came alone. What're you drinking?" Turning back towards the bartending droid, he would get its attention and pay for the woman's libation.

There were now more people entering the establishment with each passing moment. Some loud movement and the reflection of numerous glasses behind the bar allowed the Captain to see the the Mandalorian in heavy armor arrive down the bar from him. Roland didn't recognize the warrior. He was larger than the Sector Ranger and most people, even Roland, didn't expect to see too many suits of armor in the core worlds. The eyes behind his cross visored helmet made it seem like he was staring at the bottles behind the bar for a moment. His Wookiee noogie was served in front of him and also a second in front of the Pantoran. "Thanks." He would say and drop a straw in his cup before using it to give it some extra mixing stirs.

The woman turned her eyes towards the voice who recognized her. When her blue eyed gaze rested on Emryc she turned her head a little to the side with a greeting smile. "Have we met?" She didn't stop a man from buying her drinks. Or rather, pay for her paying for another man's drink.

It would not matter in the end since the Mandalorian pulled out a personal flask and poured that into the glasses. Siria could have sworn the droid thought twice about allowing him to pour outside drinks in the establishment. But maybe its photoreceptors were going bad. It went against pretty much all of her security consultations.

Taking the glass in one hand, the ice clinked against the side of it as the music played. The senator would raise it to eye level like it was the first time she was seeing Tihaar. She prefered it without ice if she was going to sip it. Siria did not catch on at first that Srucayr had said his name finally.
"Oh...uh, well...it's Life Day tomorrow."

The bottle of Tihaar that the Mandalorian had ordered and had been twice paid for now sat down on the bar. Siria took a sniff of her drink, taking the body of the liquor before knocking it back. Once the glass was dry she rolled the remaining ice onto a napkin and poured a fresh few fingers of Tihaar. "This is a Ranger event. Either of you two?.." She waved a finger between Emryc and Srucayr.

Emryc saw the Mando look his way and he simply gave a jut of his chin in greeting, grin on his face. He turned his attention back to the Senator, “Emryc Thorne,” He said as he took a moment to extend his hand and shake hers. He sipped from his charde as she took in whatever concoction the Mando offered, surprised to see a Senator be so trusting.

“It’s curious,” He said as he swirled the drink in his hand, “You could pass for a first generation Zale-Solus,” Emryc said as he eyed her, taking in sight of the combination of traits she possessed. He took a sip from his drink by the time another woman sat down next to him, colliding against him and causing some of his charde to spill. Emryc glanced down and began to dab the mess away, tilting his head to regard her.

“Not feeling too festive, eh?” He said simply, watching the whiskey slide over, “Get the Tevraki for a smoother burn and the same effects,” He offered her a smile before tipping his glass towards her.

The Senator had asked if he was a Ranger, “No, I was in the area to coordinate a fundraiser for the less fortunate in the lower districts. There are lots of businesses that have gone under since the series of attacks and my initiative is working to boost local support,” Not a single word of this was untrue - Emryc had begun efforts to kick off a grassroots campaign for himself.

“You may wish to stop by at some point, Senator,” He sipped from his glass, “Would be a boost to have that kind of publicity.”

Draco Virtus would be enjoying his drink as he never really knew anyone that came in and they seemed to be all tied up with introductions or old welcoming's. Taking another mouthful of his whiskey as he set it on the table and motioned the Droid for another as the dusty Tatooine cowboy would be leaning against the bar and looking out at the traffic going in every direction. It was a short moment of silence for him before another Ranger accompanied him by the bar and decided to have the same as him. A jovial smirk came across Draco's face as he turned with his accent a bit stained into it. "Aye, Names Draco." he would extend his hand to him in a warm greeting as for a Cowboy he wasn't all that cold and mean mugging unlike most where he came from. His hazel eyes scanning around the room and back to Risho if he accepted his handshake. "Well, Risho..It seems most are tied up but I'm sure if yeah used your charm you will find someone worth talking to"

He would chuckle as he turned back to face the bar and take a mouthful of his whiskey on ice. Letting his hands come up and remove his helmet as he set it to the side and took out a cigarra from the pack. Tapping it off the package it was in before sticking it in his mouth and lighting it with his igniter. Taking a long drag of it he would exhale slowly. The lights of all colours were flying around the room and the conversations began to pick up amongst the other patrons. It seemed it was going to get busier than he expected. Now Draco knew people, he spent a couple years in hostage negotiating and talking to all kinds of people who either wanted to kill themselves or due harm to others by holding them for ransom, security from the police or just plainly had mental issues and held family neighbors or innocent civilians hostage.

He could tell Risho seemed a bit uneasy as he looked sideways before looking forward at the bar with all the glasses upside down in all sizes behind the bartender with different coloured bottles of liquor next to them as well. "Whatever it is that's botherin' yeah, let it go." He chuckled taking a mouthful of his whiskey. "You gon' spend your life worrying over something that might never happen, or will happen eventually. Cards aren't always in your favour..Neither are they in your hand to play with." With that he would leave the advice speech and enjoy his cigarra leaning on the bar.

He was not so fortunate as Rook to see a fellow Mandalorian at the gathering, nor did he notice the particular visor that had stolen a glimpse of him. For now, he was having what might have been a nice conversation with a senator, the first he had ever met, and some pointy eared philanthropist. Despite the man's words, he couldn't quite shake the warning in his soul. But to them, he was the Outsider, so for now he would play nice.

Srucayr would return his focus to the woman "Tisane is a fruit tea and the ice is to cool it. Mix tihaar with tisane and it gives it a much nicer taste. Goes down easier, hits just as hard." he'd say, one hand moving to the chin of his helm to pull it up, to just over his lips. Though the smallest of reveals, it would show darker skin and a beard led to a small and tight braid at the chin. Lifting the glass to his lips with the other hand, he'd take a long pull from it, before setting the glass back down on the bar and lowering his helm with it. "Life day.." he muttered to himself. ".... seems a strange name for a holiday."

At her question, he seemed to be at a loss, not entirely sure what these 'rangers' were. "I am not. A pilgrimage brought me here. I wished to see the world my ancestors fought the Zhell on. So, you're a senator? Was it love for your people that guided you to it? Or responsibility to a legacy?"

Derna knocked back her shot of Iridonian and put it back on the bar to be refilled before she looked over at the pointy ears. "I ask you?" Kriffer with his wine. This was too much. There were people in this bar wearing armor and drinking wine as if the lower levels weren't burning or overrun with crime. "Those businesses ain't up here, mister Vance" She butted in, she knew she shouldn't have but she wasn't in the mood to tolerate wine-drinkers, fundraiser-organizers and.... senators!? "Maybe you two, apologies madam senator-" the vile tone of voice as she said those last three words were unmistakable, "-should, you know-" she suddenly changed her mind as she watched her glass being refilled, "-no, you don't care." The second shot was knocked back with even a worse mood than the first had.

Weeks before the attack on the Sector Ranger HQ, evidence room and the subsequent mass release on appeals due to overturned convictions, Derna's building was getting bombed and not one Sector Ranger showed up. No politician showed interest or wine-drinker organized a fundraiser to repair broken infrastructure, plumbing or central heating. Now her entire building had perhaps a 30% occupancy and gangers literally pissed in the hallways. Maybe she made a mistake coming all the way up here.. "You know," she butted in again, "You wanna know how miserable the people of Coruscant are? Ask the owner of the Lackadaisey Bar and Grill. Gangers killed her husband last night," she realized she had been gradually raising her voice in anger, but now that she brought it up she finally felt like she could admit to herself why she was up here and not down there.. "I bet they could've used some armored sector rangers down there, too." From what Derna's seen, attention from the Sector Rangers was only for the wealthy and the megacorporations. They fought with jedi, struck deals with corporations to get big corvette spaceships while people like her were stepped over and butchered.

She sighed and just as the bartender went to refill her glass she held her hand to block it, "Poor me a Tevraki instead." She did exactly what her parents always chided her for. 'Don't wear your heart on your sleeve, Derna.' they'd say, 'don't be like that member of our family'. So what if her great-uncle has run off to the Outer Rim to marry an Ossein gypsy and grow apples on Corvus? He couldn't have anticipated she'd run back to her fleet with their kid, right? Kriff, they were right though.. "I'm sorry," she turned back towards the wine-drinker and the senator, "Bad day."

"It's nice to meet you, Mr Vance." She gave a nod and shook his hand before having her drink. After downing the Tihaar she unexpectedly coughed and brought a hand up to tap her chest. Hearing what the young man had said about her name had caused her to take the spirit down the wrong tube. But she recovered quickly enough and looked towards Emryc. "What?" Her voice was hoarse in asking the singular question.

There was another woman who knocked into the pointy eared man before letting her opinion be known. Though Siria wasn't sure it was a good idea to make a scene at a casual Ranger holiday event. The Senator eyed Emryc as he explained he was an organizer of sorts. But there were plenty of people with money in the galaxy. If she indulged every person just because they had money, the Zale family wouldn't have gotten anywhere in the millennia they have existed.

The mood of the bad-day-jane settled and after a few seconds. Siria pulled out her datapad and made a note to check in on the bar and grill mentioned. She wanted to follow up on the fundraising and what the handsome male had said but the Mandalorian answered her question and posed one himself. "The first is the second. My family's legacy is the love we have for our people, Mr Srucayr" Taking another sip of the tihaar Emeryc had paid for she looked around the rest of the bar to get a feel now that more people had arrived and some were mixing in. Hopefully this would not be too official of an interaction though. Part of her was eager to look in at every opportunity. But tonight was one night she missed home and her brother, Daniel. At the very least if she got a buzz going maybe she would end up taking a taxi back to her room and binging some Emperor in Paradise.

Emryc didn’t miss that the Senator almost choked on her drink at his words. He simply offered a knowing grin, not elaborating any further. He knew he had her attention and he filed it away for later, looking instead to the woman on his other side that had a bit of a fit. Silver eyes stared vacantly as her tirade washed over him, and he quietly sipped from his glass.

He could practically feel the disdain radiating off her, but he was calm as ever, always taking in data and parsing through it. He thought of her words, some of the examples she offered being people he was directly assisting with his efforts. The power base existed up here, and he had to appeal to it here before he could channel it to the lower districts. But he didn’t explain any of that, and he simply drank and eyed her with mild amusement as if watching a creature in a zoo.

Music was playing around them and patrons were getting up and moving about. Emryc finished up his drink and set the glass down, turning over to face the woman and extending a hand, “How about you give me a dance and tell me all about the things you want to see changed?” A smile played upon his lips. If she refused, he would simply shrug and order another drink and mingle with others.

It was Life Day, or so the population of the more coreward planets declared. Morgan was familiar with the holiday but didn't personally put much effort into it most years. But today was different, because word came through the vine about one of the parties going off on Coruscant was going to be a Ranger-invited event. Obviously he had to go. How often did one get a chance like that?

With little fanfare he stepped into the brightly coloured bar, well-dressed with a pair of gold-rimmed mirrored sunglasses perched on his nose, hair cleanly styled. He wouldn't look anything like a native, but he wasn't and it wouldn't be worth pretending otherwise. Naturally he was also entirely unarmed, and his presence in the Force blended in with every other ordinary person, lowered and shrunk to fit your average citizen. He didn't actually come to cause trouble.

Which was a sentiment he reconsidered after spotting the familiar pointy-eared profiled of @Emryc Thorne. A small grin tugged at the corner of his lips before he looked at the others nearby. A pale-haired woman and some kind of historical reenactor sat at the bar. Or maybe it was just a guy in really old-fashioned armour? There's no way it was comfortable. Whatever.

Morgan stepped on over to the group, sitting nearby at a table by the bar just in time to hear Emryc talking about sublevel outreach programs or some such. Heh. He raised his arm to garner the attention of the bar workers.

"Tevraki Corellian special, top it up with stout and a sprinkle of chili powder, tanpri." He had a very specific set of sipping drinks he preferred, and the stronger ones wouldn't be common in the Core. What a shame.

He turned toward @Derna Lorso from his seat, tilting his head slightly with an expression of interest. "A bad day is nothing to apologize for. How about I cover your drink, make it a little better."

Life Day.

The one day of the year, on any Galactic calender, when anyone could get as shite-faced as a low-level alcoholic and call it holiday cheer. That being said, Lorcan hadn't actually managed to get drunk yet and the day was wasting away. Instead he'd tracked down some debtors for credits - specifically because said debtors owned their credits on their tabs at a Ranger bar he used to frequent back when he was a badge himself.

He actually liked the bartender there well enough to consider it worth his time to go collecting for him. Old man Kip Aster had always made sure there was some hard moonshine from the lower levels available to those who asked for it, looking to get so drunk they couldn't remember their home address.

Stepping into the bar, he glanced around and raised an eyebrow at the number of people in the bar before heading to the bartender, dropping off a small bag on the counter top.

"Hey Kip, got good news an' bad news."
he admitted with a grin, "Good news is they all paid up; bad news is that Ranger Tarkran didn't have the full payment. I chipped in to help him out."

Ranger Tarkran had taken a shot to the shin during Outpost Blue so Lorcan had decided to cut him some slack. He hadn't even roughed the guy up to get him to pay, just kind of stood around listening to him moan about how much his new leg hurt. It was cybernetics - how'd a think that wasn't muscle and flesh hurt? Beyond him. Probably some kind of phantom limb thing.

He leaned up against the bar and looked over the mini crowds that had formed. Looked like there was a Ranger crowd over there... he kind of recognized Roland but didn't recognize any of the others - probably from after he left the force. He gave Roland a little salute with one hand before looking elsewhere. Another group looked like they were conducting some business over drinks but he couldn't really tell what they were doing from the distance.

Might mean it was a good night for mingling, meeting new people and lining up jobs.

"Hey Kip you still keep the lower-level stuff here?"
he grinned and slid over some credits, "You do? You're a beautiful, beautiful, man Kip. If it wasn't for the beard I'd kiss ya - too scratchy."

Life Day always put him in a good mood.

Risho

Risho looked at Draco’s hand and then up at him, he turned his body to the right towards his fellow Ranger and shook his hand before turning back to the back, leaning against it once again. Sipping on his drink he felt the familiar burn of alcohol. Risho gave a chuckle and nodded at the ranger’s comment about turning on the charm. “Yes, well maybe I could.”. He said scanning the room. Listening to the ranger to to the right on him he nodded and agreed. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. I suppose tonight is for the celebration of...er...life day? Whatever that really is and not for worrying”. This was Risho’s first Life Day celebration and he didn’t have clue what it was about. He heard the conversation of Derna Lorso, looking over at her as she seemingly attacked a woman and a man with words. Risho hadn’t even heard of some of these attacks in the lower levels of Coruscant. Which was a given considering that he didn’t spend all too much time here. She seemingly had two men somewhat fawning over here. Risho eyed the other human up, his bright red eyes reflecting the light. She had been talking to a heavily armoured Mandalorian. Sipping on his drink he gave a sigh. “I think this place is all charmed up if I’m honest Draco” He said with a small laugh to himself and shake of his head. “Are you going to put the Draco charm on anyone tonight?”. Turning towards his newfound friend as he spoke, sipping on his whisky. “I don’t expect you to talk to little old blue me all night” He said with a small laugh, continuing to drink his whisky before setting the empty glass on the bar. There had been some new faces in the bar. A prominent man obviously knew the bartender quite well, a regular. There were many faces here tonight, a lot of whom Risho didn’t know. He’d like to get around and meet everyone but he knew that wasn’t possible. Maybe he’d befriend a few more of the rangers around or someone not in the rangers. Who knew.
