DESCRIPTION
The Executor-class super star destroyer is a monolithic Imperial-era capital ship which was originally designed and built by joint venture of Kuat Drive Yards and the Fondor Shipyards. At the time of their construction, the Executors were the largest, most powerful warships ever to be built in known Galactic history, and were only eclipsed by some later First Order designs, of which no schematics or complete examples survive in the present day.

The Executor class was designed from the outset to represent the Emperor's dark will, given form in alusteel. The type is a staggering 19,000 meters in length, nearly 12 times the length of a standard Imperial-class star destroyer. It has a crew of 281,000 beings, and can carry 38,000 passengers, with consumables sufficient for up to 6 years in space. It carries the heaviest armament of any Imperial-era warship, some 250 octuple-mount heavy turbolasers, an equal number of medium turbolasers, 250 heavy ion cannons, 250 concussion missile launchers and 500 point defense laser cannons. Rumor has it that a single Executor has the firepower to enact Base Delta Zero on its own, that is the vitrification of an entire planetary surface; this is of course false, as not even an Executor has sufficient power output for such a task, however the full broadside of such a ship is still more than sufficient to cause apocalyptic levels of destruction.

As one might expect, the Executor class, while monstrously powerful, was also hideously expensive in terms of construction cost and even simple upkeep. It is said that even the few examples that were built consumed the lives of 2-3 logistics officers annually during the Imperial era, either from simple overwork or suicide due to the stress of trying to maintain them. The type was primarily issued to Imperial Grand Admirals for use as a flagship, and one - the class namesake - was gifted by the Emperor to the Lord Darth Vader for his personal use. Just over a dozen Executor-class vessels are known to have been manufactured in total.

In the chaos of the Galactic Civil War and its aftermath, most of the Executor-class dreadnoughts were destroyed, their huge size, firepower and high-ranking crews making them priority targets for Rebel strike missions. One example, Darth Vader's own Executor, was famously destroyed by a suicidal ramming attack to the bridge by Rebel A-Wing pilot Arvel Crynyd during the Battle of Endor, which caused it to lose control and crash into the Second Death Star.

In the present day, there are no known Executor-class dreadnoughts in fully combat capable condition. Those few that survived the Galactic Civil War to be captured by the New Republic were mostly retired and scrapped due to the enormous cost of upkeep, with a single example having been preserved as a museum ship at the request of the Historical Battleship Preservation Association; this one remains in orbit above the planet Coruscant, and actually serves as the Association's current headquarters. Another wrecked example can be found on the planet Jakku, where it crashed following the Battle of Jakku, though it is in exceptionally poor condition and has been thoroughly picked over by scavengers. Rumors of course persist of other surviving vessels, most notably that a fully functional example is buried beneath the former Imperial City on Coruscant, although no verifiable evidence for this has surfaced.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Executor-class dreadnoughts are classified as capital ships under Galactic law, and possess heavy weapons. By law and custom, vessels of this size and firepower may not be operated by civilians.

INTENT
To create a standard dreadnought, and to bring a ship from Legends canon into our site's fanon.

RESTRICTIONS
Executor-class dreadnoughts are large capital ships with heavy weapons, and capital ships cannot be owned or operated by individual characters. The acquisition of such a ship by a faction must be thoroughly vetted by and coordinated with staff, and possession is subject to being revoked for any reason.
