“Things are always a test here...” the girl murmured, advancing down the hallway as her hair seemly struggled to keep up in her wake. It had been almost a week since Cnile had the pleasure of waking up to the disconcerting, if overly cheerful, gaze of a protocol droid hovering outside the door to her dorm. Struggling to keep it's unsettling stare from causing her to lash out at the thing, she half stumbled into the rooms refresher and began to work on freshening up after having slept in. However, her attitude towards the droid had quickly changed when it informed her that she had been chosen by a master and he or she would arriving soon.

The first few days of that week, she had spent her down time lurking around the hangars, watching the comings and goings of the knights and masters there. She hadn't realized until them just how traffic the academy actually saw. By mid-week, however, she could no longer keep her nervous energy contained simply stalking the lounges surrounding the Temple's various hangar bays. She'd taken to spending more and more of her time down in the gym. Beating her frustrations into punching bags, and the occasional fellow initiate who was up for a quick sparring match.

Cnile took a sharp right and stepped into the gym once more, pulling two rolls of boxing tape from the folds of her robes as she did. She began to wrap up her hands, an ingrained habit that scarcely needed a thought. She was told her style resembled the Echani, apparently another human offshoot that had been spawned by the sleeper ships in the millennia she had spent in stasis. She'd watched a few fighters who claimed to be from the race, and she could not deny the similarities. Many of the basic stances and moves were the same, but there was a distinct difference. The modern Echani seemed to rely much more on flowing redirection moving the enemy's blow as it happened, where as hers focused more on keeping the enemy off balance with a more aggressive strategy.

As she walked up to one of the empty punching bags and opened up with a full force roundhouse, popping into the bag with a dull thud. She smiled as she reached down, using her hands to support herself as she twirled her legs around her. While she'd grudgingly admit the modern style had many tactical advantages, it just didn't have the same stress relief of blasting into your opponent.

She knew this was probably all a test of her patience, and that eventually her master would decide she'd waited long enough and show himself. In the meantime, however, she had a punching bag here that just looked to be having entirely too good of a day.

Caed had long dwelled on the thought of training a Padawan, let alone there now be a second under his tutelage. This one was far different than the other and for that alone he expected more from her. The young Ultor was unlike any Jedi within the walls of the temple, a large part in due to his falling from grace. It was his hope by the guidance of his teachings Cnile would never tread down that dark path he once dwell on.

This training would be different as Ultor never had really looked into the girls history. He'd always been one to act with haste, and with that came his habit of picking by random and rarely with knowledge. However, the Knight was no fool; he simply acted by passion instead of patience. He allowed the Force to guide him.

"Cnile Mengele..? Have you seen her?"

The Jedi Knight spoke to a youngling who smiled up at him without judgment; something Caed rarely saw from other Jedi. Few seemed to believe in a redeemed Jedi, but sadly he couldn't blame them.

"Yes Master, she's in the sparring gym."

With a bow at the waist Caed would take off towards the center hall. In the back of his mind he wondered if the boy back there had thought him to be his father, Rev. The thought brought a smirk to the young mans face as he turned into the gym to see a nearly matured girl slugging away at a bag. The Jedi Knight would take a silent step inward and to the left of the doorway. Caed took a moment to adjust the black cloak around his body, the dark robes nearly mimicking the Bogans. Leaning against the wall his eyes began to scan over the gym. He was glad to see they were the only two within its quarters; it was time to see how much fight the girl truly had.

The Force would come to the Knight's palm and he'd reach outward. With a hiss the three doorways that led into the rather large training hall would snap shut. The red locking mechanisms would magnify the room as the lights began to flicker between life and death. The final tool to set the scene was over-pressurizing the hydraulic, the slight break began to fill the floor with a haze of steam.

"...Cnile Mengele..?"

Caed's voice was could, his face shrouded behind the hood of his own cloak. The hazelnut color of his own brown eyes were blackened out, but he sensed she could feel them piercing "through" her. Reaching to his hip the staff would be extracted from his belt, a soft click would follow and each of the crimson blades would hiss to life. The subtle sound of a deadly lightsaber echoed out against the walls of the training room. However one sound would pierce into the girls mind, a cooling sensation. A telepathic message from the Jedi Knight sent to train her.

"Cnile? ...I'm Caed Ultor, the Jedi Knight to train you. The Bogan have over-run the temple and I fear one may be in your vicinity..."

The message would come from the back of her mind, she'd have no idea it was he before her with the lightsaber, disguised as Bogan; nor that the saber was set on no deadly setting, for now.

Specks of dust danced off of the bag with each punch, drifting into the rays of light that leaked in from the gym's high and narrow windows. It was afternoon now, Cnile was surprised to see how long she'd been at it in here. The place was empty other than her now, but that was no reason to quit. She brought up her guard once more, dancing slightly around the bag before unloading into again, missing the sound of the doors hissing open behind her. It wasn't until she heard the distinctive snap hiss of a lightsaber activating that she finally noticed someone else was in the gym.

She paused, catching her breath in preparation to let the stranger know the lightsaber sparring room was a few doors down the hall, but before she could get the words out of her mouth, others filled her mind.

"Cnile? ...I'm Caed Ultor, the Jedi Knight to train you. The Bogan have over-run the temple and I fear one may be in your vicinity..."

Bogan? Oh yes, the fallen Jedi she'd heard about. She reached into the folds of her robes as she turned about, pulling out a pair of brass knuckles, one of the few possessions she'd kept from life before the sleeper ship. She turned, speaking as she slid the knuckles on over her boxing tape, “That lightsaber may come in handy, I was just told.. that...”

Her eyes narrowed, focusing on the crimson blade and the black cloaked figure holding. Her eyes darted over each of the doors, having been told of the lightsaber's knack for amputation she didn't want try and take one on unarmed. Her spirits sank as she noticed each was locked. She settled into a stance that favored mobility, settling her weight on the balls of her feet, slightly more weight on her lead foot, ready to jump back if need be. However, she let her eyes stay wide though, attempting to hide her stance behind the guise of a frightened girl, slowly backing away. Taking a single step back, and she slid her left hand behind her. Much to her relief, she felt the weight of a medium sized dumbbell press against her palm. For once, she couldn't complain about others not putting away their equipment.

With a quick shift of her weight, she hurled the the weight towards the man's hands, hoping to knock aside his grip on the lightsaber long enough to get inside his guard. She charged in after the projectile, her right hand balled into a fist and aimed at his face.

A Bogan stood before the young Padawan who had yet to even be trained, if this scenario was real she'd be more than dead already. Caed looked over her slender frame, remembering some of the ill-misfortunes he was forced to carry out by the likes of the Bogan. It would be of some surprise when the teen manage to find a free weight. The bulky object cutting through the air was merely grasped by the Force, brought to a gravity-less float in the center of the room. Reaching outward the Force would bring the dumbbell into a rotation, spinning on an invisible axis it would seem.

"...Don't attack blindly, you'll look a fool. You're at a disadvantage to a stronger opponent, you must wait for him to come to you..."

Caed's voice again procured itself into the young girl's mind, the cooling sensation likely enveloping her mind some. Peeking out of the corner of his eye the Bogan would lower his guard only to send the free weight rocketing just feet to the right of Cnile. If she was foolish enough to jump in that direction her head would possibly explode against the momentum behind it. A series of crashes would fill the room as glass shattered and stands fell from the obvious attack.

"..I sense fear in you.. embrace it.."

The Bogan spoke out to the young girl, as if trying to sway her to his side.

"...should you listen to this man, I assure you death will be far welcomed before he's through with you.."

The call of the lightside would again invade the young girls mind, she was beginning to feel what it would be like to be persuaded by the darkside, before ever even learning of the light. Pacing towards the medicine balls he stood next to a collection of them, several beginning to rise from their holding places.

"...You must trust me. Trust me, trust in the Force. You will survive."

Cnile halted her charge short as she saw the dumbbell slow to a stop. Her eyes, half tracked the dumbbell fly to her left, crashing into the ground next to her as she slowly stepped back towards the middle of the room, arms now up in a proper guard position.

Even as the wind whipped past the gyms now shattered windows, she could still half noticed the voice and the chilling sensation offering advice on how to come out of this alive. And generally, she'd agree with that device, but the lightsaber threw a whole new factor into the equation. As her instructor back home once said, “If you try to take on a knife with your bare hands, you're going to get cut, no matter how good you are.” And a lightsaber was just a big, glowing knife. Still, she had to admit the direct approach wasn't going to work either, she thought circling with the man as he stepped over toward the rack of medicine balls.

"..I sense fear in you.. embrace it.."

Sure, there was fear, here she was in a temple overrun with Bogan, her only ally against a foe with abilities far beyond her own was the disembodied voice of her master, Caed Ultor, who knows how far away. Still, giving in was hardly her nature, and that bit of steel was only reinforced by the encouragement from her mysterious master still feeding her thoughts from afar.

It'd be a more useful conversation if I could speak back
, she thought furrowing her brow in concentration as she watched several of the balls rise.

"...You must trust me. Trust me, trust in the Force. You will survive."

She frowned, she'd only been at the temple a couple of months, and with the exception of the occasional force enhanced leap, she had found herself large unable to tap into the force without intense concentration. However, the suggestion seemed about as good as others available. He took a deep breath, keeping her guard up while half closing her eyes, attempting to replicate the openness and willingness to obey the Force she'd be taught to adopt during meditation. Maybe, if the Force truly was with her, it'd help her live long enough for help to arrive.

He watched her features closely, most specifically her face. The young woman was still a child, and with that would come confusion when something unknown would be brought to her attention. This expression came up most evidently when his "Lightside" voice broke into her mind, now was a time for guidance.

"You hear me. Good. I know you know little of the Force, but the small ember within you may soon grow; if you will it..."

The Bogan would take the first of four medicine balls, a 20lbs weight and send it sailing through the air at his Padawan's feet. If she didn't move there was risk of her tibula or fibula snapping from the force behind it. The throw came with no true complexity to it, a simple straight on through; just fill with force.

"..Your connection, is strong; I feel it, and you may not realize it yet; but you know it. You must first concentrate inward before reaching outward; with that will come your voice as you hear mine.. Simply speak outward and I will translate it until proper training may continue."

The second of the four balls would be launched at her, a lighter 15lbs weight. He shot this one specifically towards her left side, close enough that if she didn't move away it would strike, but far enough that if she dodged the wrong way she would be nailed in the gut.

"...with this ability to reach outward comes the ability to grasp.. You have no training with a lightsaber; I advise you reach for his hilt and pull it away from the two of you.. Distraction will create opportunity."

The remaining two medicine balls would rotate around the Bogan as if he were their center mass. Each of the 10lbs weights would weightlessly hover at his shoulders just out of the blades reach simply acting as a tool of intimidation.

As the first of the medicine balls whizzed through the she felt something buzz through her mind. This was unlike either of the two voices, more an impulse than anything else, impulse to jump. Not fully understanding why, she straight up, glancing down as she did. She caught sight of the ball skipping through the air in the space her leg had just occupied moments before. A wave of surprised elation washed over her as she saw this, not entirely sure how she had dodged, but it pleased her none the less.

However, the sensation did not last, long, as the second ball whizzed through the air while she was still in mid-air, catching her along her left hip. She span violently before hitting the ground, only a long held sparring reflex keeping her from landing in a crumpled heap on the floor. Rolling with the impact, she came up into a crouch and quickly turned to face the Bogan.

She frowned at the pair of balls rotating off his shoulders, “He's toying with me...” she murmured just as the voice of her master slid into her mind once again. The hilt did seem the obvious point to distract the Bogan, she thought. Hoping her opponent had not grown wise to attempts to get the lightsaber out of the fight when she had thrown the dumbbell at the lightsaber, she decided to obey the telepathically conveyed instructions. Settling into a familiar guard, she began to circle, stretching her awareness out as best she could.

Her inexperience still showing, she couldn't quite sense the exact location of the lightsaber's hilt. However, she had an idea of the general area, gathering the Force as she had learned from watching others around the temple, she focused it in her palm, snaking it across the room until she finally gripped what she saw to be her target. Unsure if she had gripped a sleeve, the Bogan's hand, or his lightsaber, she released the gathered energy, sending it off towards one of the broken windows.

As soon as this had been done, she stepped to move in on the opposite side of the Bogan, hoping her master's predicted opening would actually appear.

He'd feel a tug against his wrist, not quite where he had hoped her attempt would land; but worthy never-the-less. The pull of the Force would jolt his left hand towards the window, he'd willingly let go of the deadly tool and allow it to go sailing safely away and into the corner of the gym. His mind forever wary on his most prized of possessions.

"Impressive.."

The cocky tone held true to the Bogan's tongue. Watching the young girl side-step to his open side it was almost too predictable. The whirlpooling bag came around his form counter clockwise and over his right shoulder. The light medicine ball would come whirling directly at his Padawans skull, not quite what he intended, but suitable training irregardless. What Caed fed his Padawan even he didn't quite believe.

"..Feed into his arrogance, let him make a mistake... The final weight; use it against him!"

That final medicine ball continued its pattern around Caed nimble but built form. Wrapping around his body as if it were a sash from right shoulder to left abdominal and back around. Should she make another attempt inward the ball would be rocketed at her presence just as the others had.

Cnile clamped down on thrill of victory threatening to bring a smirk to her face. She'd be surprised to see the lightsaber sail across the room after her telekinetic attack. She continued her circling maneuver, ignoring the Bogan's commentary. Instead, she concentrated on him, trying to sense the flow in the Force that he was manipulating to keep the medicine balls afloat.

The concentration paid off, she felt a slight flicker as one of the balls went around behind him. Her eyes flickered over to his right shoulder, and caught sight of one of the balls accelerating around his shoulder, but instead of continuing it's circular arc, it began to come straight at her. She crouched to her left, wincing slightly she felt a dull pain shoot down her right hip where the second ball had it her. She cataloged the pain somewhere in the back of her mind, having no doubt she'd find a nasty bruise their later.

As soon as she felt the breeze ripple off the ball as it rocketed past her she popped back up into a standing position. She stood there in a guard for a few moments regarding his stance, watching the final ball rotate around him, hip to shoulder.

"..Feed into his arrogance, let him make a mistake... The final weight; use it against him!"

She quick smile flashed across her face. It seemed as though her merely fighting him fed his arrogance, as obviously outmatched as she was. She stepped in quickly, focusing the Force through her arm as she moved in, as if preparing for another telekinetic shove. She timed the advance so that just as she came within striking distance. She came up into an uppercut, putting the telekinetic energy into her punch as she did, swinging not at him, but at the weight. If this worked the ball should go flying into the man's head.

The wince of hearing his Padawan struggle beneath the pain of the medicine ball did little to stray Caed from his initial path. Her incoming attack was not just predicted, but also foreseen through the Force. The Bogan would lean backwards only a moment before her uppercut landed on the weighted ball. The result would be the heavy training device deflecting off his collar bone with some force. His body tolerated the pain, but far from welcomed it as the Darksiders had often trained.

Caed would use the momentum from his lean to push his body into a backhand spring. The length of his body combined with the push of force aided by the telekinetic energy put the distance between the two at several feet. Reaching outward Caed would send a small storm of lightning some feet in front of the girl. The attack was a ploy to buy time.

"...The Force is a powerful ally as I sense you are learning.. Your speed can be aided by its will just as you can manipulate objects and momentum.."

That cool voice in her head would pause for only a second before continuing. He didn't want to overwhelm the girls own thoughts with his words.

"Embrace that energy you feel flowing in and around you. Will it to your core and outward to your limbs and feel its presence enhance your own abilities. I sense you know yourself well... Combat with your strengths and never show your weakness.."

Caed meanwhile stared across at Cnile in truth wondering what the young woman was thinking at that moment. If it were he in her shoes his arrogance may have ended his life at that age. It was a wonder the path the Force took one on..

Cnile was smiling now, the satisfying weight of hitting something was always a welcome sensation. She caught sight of the ball ricocheting of the Bogan's chest. She new it didn't cause any damage, but it still felt good to actually make contact, though she was surprised to see her opponent spin his momentum into a backflip. Her urge to press the advantage was cut short a small wall of lightening danced across the ground in front of her feet, prompting her to take a cautious step back, situating the brass knuckles in her fists.

Just keep fighting a delaying action, Cnile. She reminded herself, her smile fading back to a look of concentration. If the rest of the Jedi are overrun your going to lose anyway. If they drive them off, you just have to survive long enough for help to arrive. Various stratagems and gambits played through her mind, trying her hardest to fight her urge to go on the offensive. Her masters thoughts flickered through her mind, prompting a bit of smile to flicker across her face, “Well, when the options are learn or die, the choice seems obvious.”

The words betrayed a confidence she wasn't sure she truly felt, still unwilling to stake her life on skills she had lacked the time to practice with. None the less, the sudden breakthroughs were a relief, she's always found that once she first learned something the practice came much easier.

Her master's words drifted in once more, sound advice as always. She couldn't help but feel that this boded well for she finally managed to meet him. All the more reason to find a way out or keep delaying, she thought, her eyes flickered to her possible escape routes. The doors were still locked, and the windows to narrow to snake through in a hurry.

Just as she was about to begin advancing on him again, an idea dawned on her. She stepped back, angling to place her body between the Bogan and the consoles controlling one of the locked doors. As she did this, she stretched out with the force once more, lifting a twenty-five pound weight, and with a flick of her wrist, sent it at her opponent. She was half surprised she had pulled it off, even I it was considerably slower than what her enemy could manage. Watching it sail across the gym, she widened her stance, ready to dodge when the weight was sent at her. Just maybe this would open an avenue of escape.

The Bogan would take a step towards Cnile only to watch a weight be uplifted and sent in his direction. Caed was surprised she wasn't following directions, it had once gotten her out alive, but perhaps she had her own ideas... He'd allow it to happen; for now.

The incoming weight would be grabbed by his own Force's will. It would hover peacefully over the dark figures shoulder before being casted aside. He would stand and look into his Padawan's eyes from behind the hoods dark shadow.

"What now, child?"

"Have confidence in your connection with the Force. It will answer your call in this time of need, you must trust in the Force as it has in you."

Caed would set his feet, preparing himself for a head on fight with the young woman armed with brass knuckles. Huffing in a breath of the tense air he'd fill her mind once more.

"..Let the Force guide you, Cnile... Take in this moment, and be at the Forces
will."

Apparently, he's decided throwing things isn't worth the energy. She thought, seeing the weight fall casually to the man's side. Her brow furrowed racking her brain for another novel tactic to toss at her opponent.

"Have confidence in your connection with the Force. It will answer your call in this time of need, you must trust in the Force as it has in you."

She frowned, she understood that the Force could guide one's actions. It was almost a form of instinct once one had given themselves over to it. She had always been wary of fighting purely on instinct though. One of the first lessons she'd learned was that it was the smartest, not the strongest fighter, was the one to always win.

"..Let the Force guide you, Cnile... Take in this moment, and be at the Forces will."

She sighed, she'd come here to learn. She knew that, and it was this man's job to teach her. She took a deep breath, immersing herself in the Force once more as she noticed the Bogan take on a stance which suggested he was waiting for her attack. She may not understand how the Force would guide her, but if trusting it was the only way to get out of this alive, she would trust it.

Her eyes dilated, no longer being used to focus on her opponent as she bounded in towards him. Sensing the ripples and ebbs of the Force she awaited it's prompt, the instructions on where to land her next blow.

Watching Cnile move inward for an attack Caed would do the same, the presence of the brass knuckles being more than known to him. His body would center it's core to prepare for the quickest movement once her attack had been pinpointed. This however, made it obvious to a Force User that his movement was purely in defense. One who wasn't guided by the Force may see the difference, but the time it took was mere seconds if not less. The Force as an ally broke these seconds down to moments in a Jedi's state, allowing them to see more and far clearly.

The closing distance between the two would allow the Force to reveal to the young woman Caed's weak point; his ribs. The attack would have to not only be quick, but precise in its motion. This opportunity would be a mere flash in the mind of his Padawan, but if she kept her focus the incoming attack against her would also be noticed. The weight he had previously used against her, one of the 10lbs medicine balls would come wizzing towards the center of her back in hopes of knocking her aside.

Cnile perceived the world around her in no longer as objects reflecting light, but through the eye of the Force. She could tell her perception was fuzzy, an unpracticed thing, almost like looking through a fish bowl. Still, even in it's imperfect state, it showed her far more detail than her eyesight would have ever allowed. As the Bogan advance, she saw him settle into a defensive stance, here mind's eye perceiving him being surrounded by shields, not unlike those found on starships.

The wonder of it all threatened to break her concentration, but it was amazing what one could do when one believed her life depended on it. As the seconds stretched on, Cnile noticed two things almost simultaneously. First, she noticed his defenses, weakening around his ribs. Secondly, she noticed the Bogan gripping the medicine ball behind her, his focus bearing it down on her back. Even as she noticed these things the Force lept her body into action, she darted to his left just as the ball began to shoot across the room. She jabbed at the mans flank, the Force guiding her hand towards his ribs. Even as she did this, she wondered if he'd be able to both dodge her, and stop his own projectile from hitting him.

Caed's eye followed his Padawan's incoming thrust, it was to his surprise at his only weakened point. His hands would rise in defense reaching outward to grab her smaller wrist. Her quickness adding some elusiveness to her less powerful form allowed the jab to land with some power. However, the result of the attack would come at a cost to young Mengele. His right hand, one of prosthetic form would grip down on her forearm and lock in place. The power behind it was enough to shatter bones yet it held restraint, merely locking onto flesh.

The incoming medicine ball would slam into Caed's right shoulder, causing him to topple some, but only to pull the Jedi with him in thanks to the limb. Straightening his stance the grip would loosen on her arm as a cooling sensation would rush over the room; the Lightside of the Force. Lowering his hood at last Caed would reveal himself to his newest of Padawans. Bowing his head in respect his words would finally fill the room and her ears for the first time.

"Cnile Mengele, I am Caed Ultor, Jedi Knight." He'd pause briefly take in a breath of air, his rib aching from the jab it had just endured. "It appears I underestimate your talents in the Force, and in combat." He'd offer a half smile, one he would rarely show in thanks to his own cocky nature.

"..Now tell me, what have you learned."

Cnile blinked in surprise as her blow connected, slowing the retraction of the jab. As she had finally began the retraction, she found her arm within her grasp. She began focusing her mind on the Force again, trying to discover her next move, when the man slackened his pose to that of a more neutral stance. She stepped away quickly as he released her arm. Even though the Force was telling her he was no longer a threat, she still kept her guard up. Watching the man as he, pulled back his hood and gave a slight bow.

"Cnile Mengele, I am Caed Ultor, Jedi Knight." she regarded him, finding suddenly far less threateningl. She was also surprised to hear his voice match the one in her head. "It appears I underestimate your talents in the Force, and in combat."

She stepped back again, hoping to give herself time if things turned for the worst, and lowered her guard. She was almost gulping for breath, coming down from an adrenaline high she'd hardly released she'd had.

"..Now tell me, what have you learned."
She stared him in the eyes, her eyes still suspicious, not quite convinced enough to return the bow and the opening it presented.

“Well, Master, it would seem I have learned that things are not always as the seem,” she widened her stance as if expecting another attack, “or I'm about to learn that the Bogan are more insidious than I was told.”

((Totally wrote a huge post and... database error.... sigh))

Caed was glad to see that Cnile had some humor, that fact alone put her leagues ahead in his mind of the other Jedi that haunted the temple. Adjusting the dark robes around his body the pain in his ribs coursed outward, causing him to think the wound she inflicted could be worse than either of them could have predicted it to be. Gazing out across the room the hydraulic steam was already beginning to clear, something he was half happy to see.

"...Things are never quite as they seem, Cey."

The Knight had shortened the girls name, unsure if it was even acceptable by her terms, but in truth he didn't care. Motioning his hand towards the doorway each hissed open just as they had when closing. The release of hydraulic fluid from the pressurized doors never grew to be a tiresome sound to the young Knight. Looking upwards the lights began turning to normal and he'd face Mengele once again.

"Your combative nature blinds you from what you have truly learned.."

His memory faded back to when he was young, a few years before her as he had started at a much younger age. His stubbornness and arrogant nature had caused him to wind up on the Darkside and his mother dead. Shaking the thought aside his mind returned to reality as his thoughts returned.

"..I sense you have seen what the Force can truly bring to the table. Your combat skills would fall quickly to a trained Force Sensitive, and one who wished you dead.."

He'd thrown on the final words to show that her winning today was no mistake. If it had been permitted in the grounds of the Jedi some Padawan may fall at the young Ultor's hands. His eyes would trace along her form before motioning for her to follow. They would travel through several of the temple's countless hallways before finally leaving the Jedi home.

Leading her outward to a cliff the view was indescribable; beauty being the only word to come to mind. There were lush greens mixed with light blues, a fall could be seen in the distance and occasionally one could spot the wildlife. His hand would again motion for her to act, only this time to take a seat on the grass. His motion had truly meant to get comfortable and prepare for more training, but she would learn that.

"Have you ever, truly meditated?"

His words had focused on one word and one alone. As he spoke his body fell, his knees coming in contact with the soft ground and his back remaining straight. His form held a textbook posture, yet carried the comfort even the most relaxed of positions brought. Huffing in a deep breath of the fresh Ossus air his mind reached outward.

"Are you ready to do more than learn, Cey? You must perceive things in a greater light as a Jedi... There is more than right and wrong, good and bad, light and dark... The Jedi's choice is forever altering the galaxy, this life and lives of the future. Perception is a mere tool to guidance, but it is guidance that will bring you to understanding."

(( Usually the way it seems to happen :P))

Cnile smiled slightly at her new found nickname, the letting the last of apprehension fade away, as one of the gym's doors opened. No longer facing the prospect of her own death, she slowly realized the wisdom behind the less than orthodox introduction. “Like I said, everything is a test here.”

Her gaze snapped back to him as he spoke again, nodding slightly as she tried to wrap her head around the intended lesson. “That I was fighting an opponent that was more powerful than I was obvious to me, Master.” She paused for a moment, to gauge his reaction to the honorific. Most of the Knights and Masters here seemed to stand on ceremony. However, what little she knew of him indicated he was not like most Jedi. “As was the fact that I wasn't dead within moments indicated that you wanted me alive. Considering we are in a Jedi Temple, a delaying action seemed wisest.”

She stepped out of the gym after him, wiping the sweat from her brow continued to think, “But you didn't ask for my thoughts on tactics, Master.” She let the statement hang, walking with him in silence as she wrestled with question. When they finally left the temple, she took a deep breath of the fresh air, basking in the planet's twin suns. She was glad she'd been given an opportunity to come to this temple, it was a garden world in every sense of the word. The thought of what she had been supposed to have learned from exercise in the gym fell to the back of her mind, filed away for later consideration.

It had always been a disappointment to her that she had not taken more time to explore it in the few months she had been here, most of her spare time either spent in the gym or learning what she could of the ways of the Jedi from the other students and questioning instructors in their spare time.

“Amazing...”
she sighed as they approached the cliff, here eyes immediately drawn to the waterfall, almost entranced by the falling water. She glanced over, noticing her master motioning for her to sit, to which she happily obliged. She stretched out in the grass, one knee still bent propping her leg up. Glancing over to him as he spoke. She shook her head, at his question. She had tried, though at the end of the day when her body was at rest, her mind became restless, and the same was true in reverse. It had truly been a blessing that she had been unconscious during her seventeen thousand years of suspended animation.

She saw him adopt a traditional mediation posture, and moved to mimic it. Listening intently to his words, she paused in consideration. Though it seemed a simple question, their seemed to be a weight to it. She knew there were possibly consequences to her decision she not yet understood, but felt it was the right thing to do. She saw no reason to turn back now, “Yes, Master, I am ready. Though the Force may not guide my actions as it should, I want to know how let it do so. Preferably before more lives than my own hang in the balance.”

Her obliviousness to the Forces aid on her situation began to baffle the Jedi Kight. He did however manage to contain himself and acknowledge the girls own findings on her situation. She was quite wise for her age, she just had much to learn in the ways of the Force. Time would tell them both whether or not she was meant to wield the tool of the Jedi.

There pace would remain consistent, it was when Cnile had posed a question of her own to Caed that he gather the poise to answer it. He was unaware of how well she would take his answer, but that would come with exploiting his rather blunt mind.

"Your tactics? I saw, let alone sensed very little technique in your boxing technique.."

He paused only for a moment to look at her, not meaning to bring offense to it; but it more than surely had.

"..Your stance is broad, it shows that you... are advanced in fighting, but no little of acrobatics... To any Jedi that could mean death."

He'd give her a nod to show that what she had done was more than sufficient thus far, though.

"We must shadow our weaknesses or find them used against us at some point.."

His eyes cast over the view just as Cnile's had. Hearing her words brought a small smile to the rather cold Jedi's face. It was his Father's favorite view. The Padawan next to him would have enjoyed his father's training over his own he felt, but cast it aside. Putting a thought in the back of his head as he read the girls mind for but a moment he found it to be a gift for the future; a long kept secret in his own blood line.
“Yes, Master, I am ready. Though the Force may not guide my actions as it should, I want to know how let it do so. Preferably before more lives than my own hang in the balance.”

Her words were mere whispers in his mind as it delved into the very essence of the Force. He reached outward and allowed the cooling sensations of not just the Force, but the lightside to envelope the young woman's body. The feeling was welcoming as well as relaxing; it brought on Caed's hopes of better connecting her to the Force. His mind would again reach outward.

"Your first lesson shall be telepathy.. It is a useful talent that I fell all Jedi must learn to truly understand secrecy as well as a bond between one another..Think of what you wish to say, these words will be brought on as mere thoughts; words within your mind. Project these words and thoughts outward, but place your target; should you randomly place these ideas and words into the opens deciphering can be near impossible.. You must focus upon your target as well as project these words outword.. Relax and try now to speak to me as I am you within ourselves..."
